Britain announced 158 million pounds in aid to Afghanistan

in his speech over British full withdrawal from Afghanistan said that the troops’ pullout does not mean an end to its support but now the military means will be replaced by diplomatic one to support the stability of Afghanistan.
Boris Johnson speaking to parliament members said that the country will give 100 million pounds in aid to the Afghan state for development assistance and 58 million pounds to Afghan National Defense and Security Forces.
The Prime Minister too considered regional role in establishing lasting peace in Afghanistan as paramount and added that British diplomats will strive for a sound relationship between Afghanistan and Pakistain which is key.
The issue of Afghan interpreters was also part of Johnson’s speech. He thanked all the Afghans who have contributed to the military mission of Britannia over the past 20 years and endangered their lives. Johnson said that 15 hundred families of Afghan interpreters have been brought to Britannia and the process of airlifting the remaining Afghans will continue.
Boris Johnson said that the cause of terrorism no longer exists in Afghanistan and the threat has been vanished by the coalition forces led by US.
On the other hand Russian foreign minister Sergey Lavrov has called US full withdrawal from Afghanistan as failure.
