Elon Musk threatens to start new U.S. political party

[Mashable] Elon Musk may soon launch his own political party. The Tesla and SpaceX CEO has announced his intention to form the "America Party" if President Donald Trump's "One Big Beautiful Bill Act" passes, continuing to rail against what he calls "insane spending."

"If this insane spending bill passes, the America Party will be formed the next day," Musk posted to X on Monday. "Our country needs an alternative to the Democrat-Republican uniparty so that the people actually have a VOICE."

Previously a close ally of Trump, Musk has had a dramatic falling out with the U.S. president in recent weeks. The billionaire left his position as de facto head of the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) at the end of May and publicly criticised Trump's budget bill, with the two feuding on social media since. Musk even accused Trump of being "in the Epstein files," though he later said that he regretted his posts. Time will tell whether he regrets these ones as well.

#4 The solution is replacing the RINO GOPe with viable MAGA candidates. That is a question of recruiting which he could have taken. If he wanted to take a more cunning route, it would be to set up a Liberal party which would include the few classical liberals on the Left with the RINOs as the Socialist-Democratic Party implodes.

#8 With Musk 'Stuck On Stupid', I was seriously contemplating purchasing 2 of his Tesla Pi phones this winter; but now I'm worried he's going to cross Trump and eventually damage his businesses in the U.S and/or lose satellite connectivity with his products! Ohh well...back to the Iphones.

#10 He will have a following, possibly mine. I have sat here and watched the republican party, claiming to be MAGA absolutely fuck America. They passed the big bill. Ya what did that get us??? Oh, the tax breaks, really, they are the tax breaks from 6 years ago. As they pat themselves on the back I have to ask? Why did you fools not pass it when Trump was in office last time? or any time since then? So they boosted DOD, cool, this is one of two things they are mandated to do, IE protect America, the other is the border. They are not doing anything noteworthy, just their job. The did nothing to lower the budget, actually this bill will fail because its not debt neutral. All the porks right back in it, nothing has changed. We the republican party has failed in or one big chance to act. The last night Lindsay Graham said they would put forth bills to lower the budget, BULLSHIT! He has been in DC for 30 years and has NEVER put forth a bill that took money away from big businesses in GA. They are all frauds. Trump should veto this bill and send their asses back to the drawing board.
