That's the problem. Been seeing titles like this for months. If Ivan had picked just 1 direction and stuck to it - they'd be in London by now... not that anyone in their right mind would want to go there these days.

#2 the directions reference is a holdover from the Soviet Army era, whereby groups of forces were divided by direction, and each headed by a senior field commander.

#3 Plus 'directions' is a bit of a noisy metric given that the Russians are advancing on multiple fronts by repeated pincer movements that cut off Ukrainian forces and either attrit them or force them to retreat. The general direction is towards the Dniepr river where the Russians will have a defensible border against NATO forces.
