#1 The mere fact that they shot that missile is a deterrent to navigation.

They are inflicting billions of $$$ of damage to the world economy spending a pittance.

Also Iran's asymmetrical terror and proxy war is apparently not restricted by the cease fire.

Iran itself meanwhile is a sanctuary protected by the same de facto US guaranteed cease fire.

Iran has been mauled but otherwise Iran's strategic posture has improved.

The POTUS explictly ordering Israel not to strike Iran set a precedent, and not a good one.
