Inside the new fifth column-Meet the CAIR-Linked Group That Aims To Place Muslim Americans in Federal Jobs
2025-03-26 | ||||
[WashingtonFreeBeacon] Muslim Americans in Public Service's ties to terrorist supporters could raise concerns about its efforts to place employees inside government Muslim Americans in Public Service is a Washington, D.C.-based nonprofit that coordinates with federal agencies to help Muslims obtain and advance careers in government. To do so, it partners with Islamic organizations, including the Council on American-Islamic Relations,
In addition to CAIR, the nonprofit known as MAPS touts the U.S. Council of Muslim Organizations as one of its partners and the Islamic Circle of North America (ICNA) and Helping Hand for Relief and Development as two of its sponsors. MAPS has worked with CAIR to host events that bring together MAPS members "across all levels and branches of government." And while it does not disclose its donors, it says it receives "sizable in-kind donations" from its partners, as well as funding from "federal agencies," nonprofits, and state commissions.
While MAPS largely focuses on job-related issues that impact its members, it has weighed in on some political issues. The group criticized the Biden administration over its support for Israel in the war against Hamas, saying that it "disagrees with many of the policy positions taken by the current Administration." It also condemned the 2023 censure of Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D., Mich.) over her statements calling for the eradication of Israel and denounced the removal of Rep. Ilhan Omar (D., Minn.) from the House Foreign Affairs Committee over anti-Semitic remarks. Since then, MAPS has hosted panels and networking events thanks to support from its terror-tied partners. Earlier this month, for example, MAPS hosted an event that ICNA and Helping Hand cosponsored. One of its featured speakers, Nicole Fauster-Bradford, is the community advocacy director at CAIR. She spoke alongside Sarah Khasawinah, a senior policy adviser in the Senate. Former ICNA president Mohsin Ansari has spread anti-Semitic tropes about the "liberal anti Muslim media headed by Jews," according to reports. He has also praised Delwar Hossain Sayeedi, a Bangladeshi cleric convicted of war crimes against Hindus, as a "very, very, very special person." Congress has investigated both ICNA and Helping Hand over their alleged links to Jamaat-e-Islami ... The Islamic Society, founded in 1941 in Lahore by Maulana Sayyid Abul Ala Maududi, aka The Great Apostosizer. The Jamaat opposed the independence of Bangladesh but has operated an independentbranch there since 1975. It maintains close ties with international Mohammedan groups such as the Moslem Brotherhood. the Taliban, and al-Qaeda. The Jamaat's objectives are the establishment of a pure Islamic state, governed by Sharia law. It is distinguished by its xenophobia, and its opposition to Westernization, capitalism, socialism, secularism, and liberalist social mores... , a Pakistani terrorist group. CAIR, for its part, was named as an unindicted co-conspirator in a federal Hamas financing case in 2008. The Biden White House distanced itself from the group after its executive director stated he was "happy" about the Hamas attack on Israel in October 2023. In addition to the March event, MAPS held an annual networking event in January that ICNA and Helping Hand cosponsored. It featured Ansari as a speaker. In a statement sent to the Washington Free Beacon, MAPS said it "engages independent organizations with various audiences," like CAIR, ICNA, and Helping Hand, "to increase its civic engagement and reach those with a desire to serve the public." It did not answer questions on CAIR's Oct. 7 rhetoric and the groups' ties to terror organizations. MAPS thrived during the Biden administration and now boasts thousands of members, including intelligence community officials who hold high-level security clearances, according to Maaty, the group’s chairman.

Republican House panel subpoenas Gov. Walz in investigation of Minnesota nonprofit that ran a Covid aid scheme
2024-09-06 | ||
The subpoenas, obtained first by NBC News, demand that Walz, Minnesota Commissioner of Education Willie Jett, U.S. Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack and Agriculture Inspector General Phyllis Fong turn over documents concerning oversight of the nonprofit Feeding Our Future,
Walz's record has faced new scrutiny since Vice President Kamala Harris tapped him as her running mate last month, though this new request by the Republican-led committee is part of an investigative effort that goes back to 2022. Rep. Virginia Foxx, R-N.C., the committee chair, wrote in a letter to Walz that the committee is requesting this information to show "the extent of your responsibilities and actions addressing the massive fraud that resulted in the abuse of taxpayer dollars intended for hungry children." A Walz spokeswoman called the alleged fraud "an appalling abuse of a federal COVID-era program," adding: "The state department of education worked diligently to stop the fraud and we’re grateful to the FBI for working with the department of education to arrest and charge the individuals involved." According to a June state audit report, the Minnesota Education Department failed to properly oversee Feeding Our Future, saying the department's "actions and inactions created opportunities for fraud."

Now China is trying to genetically modify American soybeans in latest infiltration plot |
2024-07-11 |
[Daily Mail, where America gets its news] The top Republican lawmaker is sounding the alarm after a Chinese agricultural firm was approved to create 'genetically engineered soybeans' for consumption in the U.S. The suspiciously rapid approval by the Department of Agriculture (USDA) of Chinese biotech firm Qi Biodesign should raise major alarm bells, says Select Committee on the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) Chairman John Moolenaar, R-Mich. That company, which specializes in gene editing, is partially funded by the Chinese government, he claims in a letter to President Biden's USDA Sec. Tom Vilsack exclusively obtained by DailyMail.com. And the company specifically poses a threat to U.S. farming companies' secrets, he says. His concern comes at a time of heightened anxiety about China's meddling in U.S. agricultural efforts - as the country owns over 347,000 acres of farmland near sensitive military bases. |

USDA and China CCP lab are creating deadly BIRD FLU viruses as part of $1m collaboration - and YOU are paying for it |
2024-04-17 |
His work continues. Eighteen members of Congress are demanding answers from the Department of Agriculture (USDA) about the project, which was first revealed by DailyMail.com. It is part of a $1million collaboration between the USDA and the CCP-run Chinese Academy of Sciences - the institution that oversees the Wuhan lab at the center of the Covid lab-leak theory. In a scathing letter to USDA Secretary Tom Vilsack last week, the bipartisan group said: 'This research, funded by American taxpayers, could potentially generate dangerous new lab-created virus strains that threaten our national security and public health.' The research comes as fears about bird flu rise. A farm worker in Texas caught the H5N1 strain that is racing through cattle across the US earlier this month, becoming only the second ever American to be diagnosed - and experts are bracing for more cases. In February, it was revealed the United States government was funneling $1million to China to see if scientists could make 'highly pathogenic avian influenza' more contagious to mammals using gain-of-function research. Government records showed the collaboration began in April 2021 and is scheduled to be funded through March 2026. The USDA previously told this website the project was applied for in 2019 and approved in 2020. The research involves infecting ducks and geese with different strains of viruses to make them more infectious, and studying the viruses' potential to 'jump into mammalian hosts,' according to research documents obtained by the watchdog group White Coat Waste Project and shared exclusively with this website. It is being funded through the USDA and the main collaborators on the project are USDA Southeast Poultry Research Laboratory, the Chinese Academy of Sciences and the University of Edinburgh’s Roslin Institute - a Wuhan lab partner. And it has been ongoing despite similar research being restricted in 2022 and growing concerns that dubious Chinese studies may have started the Covid pandemic. |

Texas farmers ask judge to block USDA from doling out disaster aid based on race or gender |
2024-04-13 |
[JustTheNews] “When natural disasters strike, they don’t discriminate based on race and sex. Neither should the Department of Agriculture,” request fr federal injunction says. A group of white farmers in Texas is asking a federal judge to block the U.S. Department of Agriculture from using race, gender or other “socially disadvantaged” traits to determine who gets disaster and pandemic farm aid and how much, arguing the agency’s current administration of eight emergency funding programs is unconstitutionally discriminatory. “When natural disasters strike, they don’t discriminate based on race and sex. Neither should the Department of Agriculture,” the group of farmers wrote in a court filing made public Monday. The farmers, represented the nonprofit legal firm called the Southeastern Legal Foundation, asked a judge to issue an emergency injunction from the U.S. District Court in Amarillo, Texas, to stop any additional awards from being made on the basis of race and gender or other liberal standards. “Enjoining USDA from using race, sex, or progressive factoring when administering the programs is warranted because Plaintiffs are likely to succeed on the merits of their claims that: (1) the programs, as currently administered, are unconstitutional; (2) USDA lacks statutory authority to run the programs in their current form; and (3) USDA failed to adequately explain changes in calculating payments when implementing progressive factoring,” the motion stated. The farmers said the Biden administration has taken roughly $25 billion in disaster and pandemic aid approved by Congress for farmers in eight programs and devised a system to make awards based on race, gender or other “socially disadvantaged” traits. Such decision-making violates the Constitution’s Fifth Amendment and the Administrative Procedures Act. “The Constitution promises equal treatment to all Americans regardless of their race or sex," the court filing also reads. "It also promises the separation of powers. USDA broke both promises through the disaster and pandemic relief programs challenged here." The farmers said they can prove that “USDA gives more money to some farmers based on” race, gender or other factors never approved by Congress. “USDA does this by first defining farmers who are black/African-American, American Indian, Alaskan native, Hispanic, Asian-American, Native Hawaiian, Pacific Islander, or a woman as ‘socially disadvantaged,’” the court filing said. “Then, it provides farmers who qualify as socially disadvantaged more money for the same loss than those it deems non-underserved, along with other preferential treatment” The request for an injunction relies in part of the Supreme Court’s landmark decision last year banning racial preferences in college admissions. It even quoted from the high court’s declaration that “eliminating racial discrimination means eliminating all of it.” USDA's program appears to be rooted in an executive order that President Joe Biden signed. Lawyers for the plaintiff told Just the News they believe they have a strong case to win the injunction while litigating the larger case. “Disasters don’t discriminate and neither should USDA. In fact, the Constitution prohibits it,” the lawyers said in a statement. “That is why our brave clients – a group of Texas farmers that includes three white men who received significantly less money in disaster relief funds from USDA than if they had been of a different race or sex – filed this case and are asking the court to stop USDA’s blatant discrimination.” The lawsuit names the USDA and Biden Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack. The farmers bringing the action include Rusty Strickland, Alan and Amy West and Bryan Baker, all of Texas. |

Biden admin coordinated with liberal dark money behemoth on 'transforming food system,' emails show |
2023-05-16 |
[FoxNews] Emails reveal that dark money network founder 'plays an intimate role in shaping this administration’s agenda,' watchdog director tells Fox News Digital The Biden administration coordinated with Eric Kessler, the founder and principal of the Arabella Advisors consulting firm, which oversees a behemoth liberal dark money network, on key agriculture policy issues, according to emails obtained by Fox News Digital. The internal Department of Agriculture (USDA) communications — obtained by Americans for Public Trust (APT) and shared with Fox News Digital — show that Kessler was involved in initiatives to "transform" the U.S. food system and to crack down on the meat industry for high prices. Kessler was the only individual on the email chains who wasn't affiliated with the USDA. "These emails reveal that Eric Kessler has direct access to Biden cabinet officials and plays an intimate role in shaping this administration’s agenda," APT executive director Caitlin Sutherland told Fox News Digital. "As the architect and operator of the largest dark money network in U.S. politics, Kessler’s cozy relationship with Secretary Vilsack raises questions about the level of influence his foreign-funded Arabella network has on the Biden administration and its policies," she continued. On July 15, 2021, Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack emailed Kessler, Marty Matlock, a USDA senior advisor for food systems resiliency, and Matthew McKenna, a former senior advisor to Vilsack, expressing his excitement about a food processing initiative that he noted the three were helping to "direct and lead." "Gentlemen- woke up very early this morning thinking about the processing project you are helping to direct and lead," Vilsack wrote in the email. "I can tell you from the response I have received to date there is excitement over the possibility of this helping to create a more dynamic and competitive market." Copied on the email were Vilsack's chief of staff Katharine Ferguson and Mae Wu, the USDA's deputy under secretary of marketing and regulatory programs. The remainder of the July 2021 email was redacted because it contained information that was "pre-decisional" and deliberative, meaning it was related to a policy not yet in effect. "I believe the pipeline will fill quickly," Kessler responded 20 minutes later. "This is striking a real chord and filling a huge need. The feedback I've heard has been 100% positive around the initiative and the Department's leadership." Then, shortly after Kessler's response, Matlock indicated that he and McKenna had included the Arabella Advisors founder in conversations about the project. "Matt, Eric and I have been in nearly daily conversation about elements and strategies," Matlock wrote. "In short we are on the job, moving the many elements necessary, and building program strategies for implementation." Months later, in September 2021, Vilsack emailed Kessler and McKenna in an email that USDA completely redacted. However, Kessler responded, thanking Vilsack for the "kind invitation" and adding that he was "looking forward to it." The USDA, though, said the emails and close coordination between Kessler, Vilsack and other top agency officials was an example of its broad stakeholder engagement efforts. "There is significant private and philanthropic sector interest in leveraging the Department of Agriculture’s investments in food, agriculture and rural prosperity, such as the $1 billion USDA is investing to expand meat and poultry processing capacity to provide more options for farmers," a USDA spokesperson told Fox News Digital in a statement. "External partners are critical in USDA’s effort to maximize our investment in a way that creates new markets and increases income opportunities for producers," the statement added. Kessler's Arabella Advisors, which is based in Washington, D.C., is a consulting firm that manages at least five nonprofit organizations — Sixteen Thirty Fund, New Venture Fund, Hopewell Fund, Windward Fund and North Fund — that, in turn, host and funnel money to dozens of shadowy left-wing groups. In 2021, the latest year with available data, the network hauled in more than $1.5 billion in anonymous donations. The funds are involved in a series of social and progressive campaigns around the world. They have also focused particularly on climate change initiatives. And funds in the network have also given millions of dollars to agriculture-related programs. "Arabella’s Good Food team works alongside funders, investors, and others who are passionate about transforming our food systems," the firm's website states. "Together, we’re creating a world where delicious, nutritious, sustainably produced food is accessible to all." Kessler and Arabella Advisors didn't respond to a request for comment. Biden's New National Monument Angers the Ute Indian Tribe |
2022-10-14 |
[PJMedia] On Wednesday, Joe Biden created a new National Monument. The new monument is in Colorado. The area encompasses 53,804 acres and is well within Colorado’s ski haven, between Leadville and Red Cliff. In addition to being an integral part of the history of the indigenous people of the area, parts of the new monument served as a training ground for the Army’s 10th Mountain Division, which fought in Europe during the Second World War. A press release from the USDA quoted Agriculture Tom Vilsack:Camp Hale and the 10th Mountain Division are unique in our military history. The men and women who served and trained in this beautiful but punishing landscape made sacrifices for our country and made their mark on the history of the free world. The stunning Camp Hale and Tenmile landscape is a recreation mecca where visitors enjoy alpine hiking, snowmobiling, skiing, camping and more – it is an honored obligation for us to protect this treasured piece of our national heritage. Oddly enough, someone in the White House and/or the USDA forgot to talk to the Ute Indian Tribe, which still very much exists, considers the monument part of its territory, and is not happy about the designation at all. The website Indian Country Today carried the press release from the tribe. The tribe points out that it was never even consulted about the matter, excluded from the event itself. While Biden met with some tribes in the immediate area, he never met with the Ute Tribe itself, specifically with the Uncompahgre band, the band of Utes that originally occupied the area until the 1880s when it was relocated. (As someone who lived on the Ute Reservation and was once married to a tribal member, it may be helpful to explain that the tribe itself is composed of several bands, which exist to this day. Each band at one time held a specific area of land.) The Business Committee, which oversees tribal affairs, stated, “They moved forward with a monument on our homelands without including us. They talk about tribal consultation, but their actions do not match their words. We cannot support a monument on our homelands that does not include the tribe.” The Committee added: It is a disgrace to our ancestors to exclude the tribe in the care and protection of these burial sites. We are shocked that 200 years later, nothing has changed. This unlawful action by the President today is a desecration of our ancestors that remain buried on our homelands. Many of these Ute ancestors passed on seeking to protect these lands from further encroachment and others left us as part of the forced death march at the hands of the United States as we were moved out of Colorado at gunpoint. The Ute Indian Tribe will not stand by to accept further genocidal tactics that continue to be perpetuated against our people and our ancestors that came before us. The United States President is doing what the United States has always done and we will use all lawful measures at our disposal to stop this. The tribe also called the move an act of genocide. Shaun Chapoose, the Business Committee chairman, was frustrated with Biden’s move. He noted that the tribe has tried to work with the administration, which has paid scant if any attention to tribal issues. This includes the creation of the monument, of which the tribe was unaware until hours before the event. He added, “If it’s a fight they want it’s a fight they will get.” |

Biden touts 'significant progress' by his Supply Chain Disruptions Task Force as crisis continues |
2021-12-22 |
[FoxBusiness] Consumer prices surged at the fastest pace in nearly four decades in November. President Biden will hold a "convening" Wednesday at which members of his economic team and business leaders will cite a variety of positive indicators about the economy, even as inflation roars and supply chain problems continue. Problems with the economy likely will factor into the 2022 midterm elections and Biden's own 2024 reelection campaign — if he runs — should inflation and shortages of goods and labor persist. Among those expected to attend: Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg; National Economic Council Director Brian Deese; Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack; port envoy John Porcari; FedEx CEO Fred Smith; Yellow Corp. CEO Darren Hawkins; and Christopher Connor, CEO of the American Association of Port Authorities. The Biden administration released a "fact sheet" Wednesday that will apparently serve as a template for the meeting, touting what it called the strongest economic growth of any president in his first year in a half-century, and outlining the "aggressive action to lower the price of goods and gasoline for Americans." In the document, the White House struck an optimistic tone on gas prices, supply chain issues, and inflation – factors that have caused him polling issues and subjected him to intense Republican criticism. "Since Day 1, President Biden has been laser-focused on reopening the economy and has taken aggressive action to lower the price of goods and gasoline for Americans," the fact sheet says. "The President’s Supply Chain Disruptions Task Force has made significant progress to alleviate bottlenecks that are rooted in the global pandemic." |
