Joe Biden's 60 Minute Interview on Gaza Is the Saddest Media Display I Have Ever Witnessed |
2023-10-17 |
![]() I know many readers here will not like the thought of watching pudding brain mutter his way through a carefully edited and controlled interview by a corporate outlet intent on presenting Biden in the best possible light. However, ars longa, vita brevis... you only really need to watch the introduction by CBS host, Scott Pelley. Never before have I seen a more transparently pathetic political defense presented as the introduction to an interview of a U.S. president. Pelley was apologetic toward Biden in the extreme, leading the viewer into an interview with prescripted justification and excuses for the content that would follow. Watching Pelley set up this interview elicits a sense of embarrassment that such a set-up is needed. When he gets into the interview, Pelley actually constructs the talking points for Biden, with explanations and outlines that provide simple yes/no answers from Biden. This interview is so soft, it becomes pathetic to watch: Related: Scott Pelley: 2022-11-23 CBS ‘confirms' Hunter Biden laptop is real 769 days after Post broke story Scott Pelley: 2022-02-19 Unexplained injuries similar to previous Scott Pelley: 2021-12-07 NSA leaker Reality Winner, 30, denies being a 'traitor' and says she passed classified report on Russian election interference to the media 'to serve the American people', in first interview since release from five-year sentence |

Classified US Intelligence Chat Rooms a 'Dumpster Fire' of Hate Speech, Says Ex-NSA Contractor |
2022-03-15 |
I had the idea, reading this, that hosting an internal version of Twitter might not be the best use of the employees’ time... [Military] An internal U.S. intelligence messaging system became a "dumpster fire" of hate speech during the Trump administration, a veteran National Security Agency contractor says. And it's "ongoing," another Defense Department contractor tells SpyTalk.Dan Gilmore, who was in charge of overseeing internal chat rooms for the Intelink system for over a decade starting in 2011, says that by late 2020 the system was afire with incendiary hate-filled commentary, especially on "eChirp," the intelligence community's clone of Twitter. "I was the admin of this application and after a couple years, it became a dumpster fire," Gilmore, a 30-year veteran of Navy and NSA cryptologic systems, wrote Thursday in an extraordinary public post on his own website. "Professionalism was thrown out the window, and flame wars became routine." Flame wars are highly unprofessional, not to mention a time suck and general morale destroyer. That was the point when Mr. Gilmore should have recommended shutting the thing down as hopeless, even if it meant he would have to find other employment. NSA did not immediately respond to a request for comment."Hate speech was running rampant on our applications," wrote Gilmore, whose identity and credentials have been vouched for by another Pentagon contractor. "I'm not being hyperbolic. Racist, homophobic, transphobic, Islamaphobic [sic], and misogynistic speech was being posted in many of our applications." Even more startling, Gilmore alleges, "there were many employees at CIA, DIA, NSA, and other IC agencies that openly stated that the January 6th terrorist attack on our Capitol was justified." Noted for future reference. Gilmore says that "more than a few "I wanted to tell everyone that there is a cancer within the government and when I tried to weed it out, I got fired," Gilmore wrote. "It was just easier for government management to get rid of me rather than to deal with the underlying issue." Another NSA contractor told SpyTalk that the hate speech started in 2016 after Trump's election and is "ongoing." Trump's followers in the agency get away with professional indiscretions, some of them serious, while others get dismissed for minor infractions, this person said on condition of anonymity. "We literally had folks get their clearances burned for time card discrepancies while pro-MAGA types might have multiple DUIs, foreign contacts, and (in one case) vehicular homicide," the source said. "They were kept working while others were let go." Extremist groups have made inroads in U.S. military and police units, experts say. Intelligence sources have told SpyTalk over the past several months that pro-Trump fervor is centered in special operations and hostage rescue units. ...where the pointy end of the spear is lived, and airy theory and political games must give way to hard facts. NSA Spy Released From Prison & NYT Double Speak Exposed
2021-06-16 | |
Remember Reality Winner? The Ex-Ft. Gordon NSA worker caught leaking classified documents in 2017. Well She is getting out prison today. An she only served 4 yrs of her 5 yr federal prison sentence that she received in August 2018 for violation of the US Espionage Act. She illegally released TS-SCIF NOFORN materials about possible Russian interference in the 2016 elections to a news outlet.
But read deep into the NYT article. It accidentally provides a hidden gem of double speak. In going after Trump/Russia in 2016-2018, it pretty much stated National Elections could have been or was compromised by Foreign Governments (Russia/China). Something the NYT, now that Biden is in, strongly denies could have ever happen in 2020. BTW: Remember how Trump compared her 5 year sentence to Hillary's slap on the wrist by the Jeff Session run DOJ? When Hillary was caught "inadvertently" releasing similar data? Jailed woman who leaked US secrets thanks Trump for tweet |
2018-09-01 |
[DAWN] A former government contractor who leaked a classified report on Russian hacking is now thanking President Donald Trump ...New York real estate developer, described by Dems as illiterate, racist, misogynistic, and what ever other unpleasant descriptions they can think of, elected by the rest of us as 45th President of the United States... for tweeting about her case, after she once called him a "soulless ginger orangutan." In a Thursday telephone interview from a Georgia jail, Reality Winner told "CBS This Morning" that Trump’s tweet was a "breath of fresh air" and it made her laugh. Trump tweeted on Aug 24 that Winner’s crime is "small potatoes" compared with "what ![]() Crooked HillaryClinton ... former first lady, former secretary of state, former presidential candidate, Conqueror of Benghazi, Heroine of Tuzla, formerly described by her supporters as the smartest woman in the world, usually described by the rest of us as The Thing That Wouldn't Go Away... did." |

Reality Winner sentenced to more than 5 years over classified report leak |
2018-08-24 |
Former National Security Agency contractor Reality Winner on Thursday was sentenced to more than five years in prison after pleading guilty to leaking a classified report with information on Russia’s involvement in the 2016 presidential election. Winner, 26, was sentenced to 63 months, with no fine in a Georgia courtroom. She received an additional three years of supervised release. The prisoner's mom had tears streaming down her face as the sentence was read. Winner appeared in court wearing an orange jumpsuit. Winner's defense team said they felt the sentence, reportedly the longest ever imposed for a federal media leak crime, was "fair." Winner, an Air Force veteran, pleaded guilty in June after being held in prison at the Lincoln County Jail near Augusta, Georgia. Winner was locked away Maw! They're comin' to get me, Maw! in June 2017, and charged under the Espionage Act for removing classified material from a government facility and mailing it to a news outlet, according to the Justice Department. Winner’s 2017 arrest was announced shortly after the Intercept website published a story detailing how Russian hackers attacked at least one U.S. voting software supplier and sent so-called "spear-phishing" emails to more than 100 local election officials at the end of October or beginning of November 2016. |

Activists plan candlelight vigil for accused NSA leaker Reality Winner

[DailyDot] Supporters of Reality Winner
On June 3, exactly one year since she was imprisoned, Winner’s mother and supporters plan to gather in Lincolnton, Georgia, close to the jail where she is being held pending trial. The 25-year-old decorated Air Force veteran is accused of passing a secret intelligence report to the Intercept that claimed the Russian military had attempted to hack voter registration systems in a bid to interfere with the 2016 presidential election. Winner was quickly arrested by the FBI and charged under the Espionage Act with "removing classified material from a government facility." She now faces up to 10 years behind bars and $250,000 in fines. ![]() Although she entered a plea of not guilty, Winner has been denied bail on four occasions. Federal Judge Brian Epps cited social media messages uncovered by law enforcement in which the veteran showed admiration for whistleblower Edward Snowden and Wikileaks founder Julian Assange. Winner’s defense is currently appealing a major decision by Epps, who denied 40 of 41 requested subpoenas on April 27. The judge claimed that the subpoenas were "overly broad" in scope, seeking documents from numerous federal agencies and government departments, but Winner’s attorneys say the requested information is "essential" to their defense case. In a press release, supporters of the accused whistleblower lament that the case is receiving little attention and hope that Sunday’s vigil might change that. "I would invite everyone to come together to support my daughter Reality on this one-year anniversary of her arrest and jailing," the veteran’s mother, Billie Winner-Davis, said in a statement. "I do not want the world to forget her." Winner’s trial is set to begin Oct. 15. She is set to be the first person prosecuted by the Trump administration for leaks.

Obama Wanted To Get Rid Of Him, NSA Head Admiral Rogers Is Leaving On His Own |
2018-01-06 |
![]() Correct me if I am wrong, but I believe the four years which Admiral Rogers will soon complete is the standard tour of duty. The embattled NSA director is said to have made the announcement to agency staff, Reuters reported Friday, citing a tweet by a Washington Post reporter. President Donald Trump will likely name a successor sometime before the end of the month. Former President Barack Obama nominated Rogers in 2014, and he took the helm at a time when the NSA was still reeling in the wake of the devastating Edward Snowden leaks. He faced staunch criticism from other intelligence and defense leaders, as former Director of National Intelligence James Clapper and former Secretary of Defense Ashton Carter both recommended a little over a year ago that the White House relieve him of his duties, citing inadequacies in his performance. Several major security breaches occurred on Rogers’ watch, such as the damaging theft of sensitive materials by Booz Allen Hamilton contractor and TAO employee Harold T. Martin III and another serious data breach in the summer of 2015. "[Rogers] has been at the helm of the NSA at the time of some of the most egregious security breaches," a senior administration official told the Washington Post in the fall of 2016. He also aggravated the Obama administration by secretly meeting with then President-elect Trump in late 2016 without informing his superiors. This past year, the NSA has been struggling to deal with the online leak of its top secret cyber warfare tools, and the news of Rogers’ departure comes amid reports that many highly-skilled agency staff members are fleeing the NSA for better opportunities in the private sector. The NSA has also been forced to handle the fallout after former contractor Reality Winner allegedly leaked the details of an agency intelligence report on Russian interference in the 2016 presidential election. Despite some of his shortcomings, Rogers has managed to reform Cyber Command and appears to have boosted the overall capabilities of this elite warfighting unit. He also maintains the support of many American lawmakers in Congress. |

Ex-Contractor in |
2017-09-02 |
[Mil.com] SAVANNAH, Ga. -- A young woman charged with leaking classified U.S. documents has asked a federal judge to rule that comments she made to FBI agents before her arrest can't be used as evidence. Reality Winner, a former Air Force linguist who held a top-secret security clearance, worked as a government contractor in Augusta, Georgia, until she was charged with copying a classified report and mailing it to an online news organization. The criminal complaint filed June 5 in U.S. District Court says Winner admitted to leaking the documents when she was questioned by FBI agents serving a search warrant at her apartment. Winner's defense attorneys filed a court motion Tuesday asking the judge to suppress any comments she made to the FBI in that interview because agents never read Winner her Miranda rights. Though she had not yet been formally arrested, Winner's attorneys said, she had every reason to believe she was in custody as she was questioned in a room of her apartment by two agents standing in front of the door. "Winner was never told she was free to leave, nor was she advised as to her arrest status," Winner's attorneys wrote. "Indeed, when she specifically asked whether she was under arrest, the agents told her they did not know the answer to that 'yet.'" Prosecutors had not filed any reply to the defense motion Wednesday, and there was no ruling from the judge. Meanwhile, U.S. Magistrate Judge Brian K. Epps agreed during a status hearing Wednesday to postpone Winner's trial, which had been scheduled to start in October. |
