Sources indicate that those arrested are employees of the Directorate and had been caught up in a sting operation for selling black market passports to an undercover Taliban agent. The three took $5,000.00 from the agent for five passports. Sources in the Ministry of the Interior claim this is only the start of the investigation and that many future arrests are anticipated. The source said the Ministry was working with regional governments to identify black market channels for visa procurement as well.

  • TALIBAN ARREST TTP MILITANTS — A source in the Ministry of Defense claims that Taliban forces have detained several TTP (Pakistani Taliban) militants who were in Nangarhar and relocated them to an undisclosed location. [ToloNews] An Afghan woman displaced from Baghlan province to Kabul due to fighting prior to the fall of Kabul, has sold her one and a half years old infant due to poverty. Living in a tent in Kabul, the mother, Lailuma, said she had no option but to sell her infant to treat her 13-year-old daughter who is sick. Lailuma said she sold her baby for 30,000 Afs ($335) and that her husband is missing since last year.

Meanwhile,
...back at the shootout, another bullet hole appeared in Butch's hat......
a number of people displaced families in Kabul said their challenges are increasing as the winter is approaching. The displaced families live in different parts of Kabul under tents. They said their children are getting sick as the weather is getting cold. A large number of displaced families are living under tents in Kabul. They were displaced ahead of the fall of the government in Kabul.

"People from the Ministry of Refugees came here and did a survey, but they have not provided any assistance so far. We will starve if this situation continues," said Aaisha, a displaced woman from Takhar.

Over 100 Factories Halt Operations in Herat
[ToloNews] Officials at the chamber of industry and mines said that more than 100 factories have halted their operations due to economic challenges within past two months in the western province of Herat
...a venerable old Persian-speaking city in western Afghanistan, populated mostly by Tadjiks, which is why it's not as blood-soaked as areas controlled by Pashtuns...
Officials said that economic challenges, shortage of raw materials and lack of proper sale market are the main reasons for reduction in operations of Herat industrial companies.

Local officials in Herat said that they have increased tariffs on imported goods to layout a good market for domestic products.

The private sector in Herat said that reduction of corruption in customs and ensuring of proper security on highways triggered a new wave of hope among investors to continue their businesses.

Culture Ministry Denies Restrictions on Afghan Media
[ToloNews] The Ministry of Information and Culture on Saturday denied claims it was imposing restrictions on the media in Afghanistan, saying that all media outlets can continue their activities. “There are small cases that happen in some areas,” said Mawlavi Noor Mohammad Motawakil, a member of the cultural commission of the ministry.

“If there is any illegal action, it will be addressed. The Islamic Emirate supported the media before, and it is supporting it now. Of course, the publishing must be in an Islamic format and in accordance with Afghanistan’s tradition,” he said.

“Despite the Taliban’s promises to allow media that ‘respected Islamic values’ to function, the new rules are suffocating media freedom in the country,” said Patricia Gossman, associate Asia director at Human Rights Watch, as quoted in a statement released by the group. “The Taliban regulations are so sweeping that journalists are self-censoring and fear ending up in prison.”

Haroon Noor, who has worked for a local media organization for nearly 10 years in the northern province of Parwan, said that media access to information has been restricted at an unprecedented level since the fall of the former government.

“Since the start of the Islamic Emirate government onward, there have been widespread restrictions on journalists,” he said. “If you want to make a political program, you must get permission from the Ministry of Information and Culture.”

The head of one of the media outlets in Parwan, Mohammad Shafiq, said: “Journalists do not dare to go to events, particularly the events that have recently occurred. Fear and panic exists; the right (freedom of expression) is almost taken away.”

On Friday two journalists were reportedly detained by government forces in Parwan. However, the journalists were released after being detained for some time.

“We have reports from Parwan province that two journalists were detained by the forces of the Islamic Emirate while covering an event,” said Masror Lotfi, a member of the Afghan Journalist's Union. “The detention of journalists while they cover events is a serious restriction to the access to information. We even have reports from Parwan that the journalists must get permission from the provincial culture and information department in order to report an event.”

Taliban to Seek Funds for Families Harmed by Intl Forces
2021-09-25
[ToloNews] Noor Mohammad Motavakil, a member of the Cultural Commission of the Information and Culture Ministry of the caretaker cabinet, on Friday told TOLOnews the Taliban
...the Pashtun equivalent of men...
will ask all countries involved in the Afghan war to pay compensation to victims’ families.
"we will distribute according to Islamic Law....after subtracting shipping and handling fees...and a little somethin' somethin' for the El Supremo and entourage"
Motavakil’s remarks followed a United Kingdom defense ministry announcement on Thursday saying the UK will pay war compensation to the families of victims harmed during UK forces Arclight airstrike
...KABOOM!...
s.

According to Motavakil, the Taliban has a list of all those who suffered from airstrikes in the last 20 years, and if the compensation is paid they are ready to distribute it to the victims’ families.

"Britannia has said it is ready to pay the compensation and we welcome this. Other countries involved in the war also should be ready and pay the compensation before the Islamic Emirate demands them to do so," he said.

According to the UK defense ministry, the UK has paid out £688,000 for 289 civilian deaths between 2006-2014, an average of £2,380 per person.

The UK defense ministry said compensation was set by legal principles, including past and future losses and local customs.

"I expect other countries to also pay war compensation to the harmed Afghans, as did Britannia," said Omid Qasimi, a Kabul resident.

Meanwhile,
...back at the pound, the little lost dog had finished eating the rat terrier...
members of a family that was targeted by a US airstrike on August 29 in Kabul, in which 10 members of the family were killed, called on the international community to offer compensation for the financial and human losses they suffered.

During this attack a house in Kabul was targeted and the US first said it had eliminated ISIS members who were trying to attack Kabul airport. However,
the difference between stupidity and genius is that genius has its limits...
weeks later the Pentagon said all the victims were civilians and apologized to the family.

Military Aircraft, Vehicles Were Taken Out of Country
2021-09-22
[ToloNews] Officials from the Cultural Commission of the Ministry of Information and Culture of the caretaker cabinet on Tuesday said military equipment of the former government had been transferred out of Afghanistan.

Footage published on social media showed several Afghan air force helicopters in Uzbekistan and images also showed Humvees and Ranger trucks being transferred into Iran.

Noor Mohammad Mutavakil, a member of the Cultural Commission, said some of the military hardware transferred into Iran
...a theocratic Shiite state divided among the Medes, the Persians, and the (Arab) Elamites. Formerly a fairly civilized nation ruled by a Shah, it became a victim of Islamic revolution in 1979. The nation is today noted for spontaneously taking over other countries' embassies, maintaining whorehouses run by clergymen, involvement in international drug trafficking, and financing sock puppet militias to extend the regime's influence. The word Iran is a cognate form of Aryan. The abbreviation IRGC is the same idea as Stürmabteilung (or SA). The term Supreme Guide is a the modern version form of either Duce or Führer or maybe both. They hate Jews Zionists Jews. Their economy is based on the production of oil and vitriol...
has been returned to Afghanistan. However,
ars longa, vita brevis...
he did not say who had transferred the hardware out of the country.

"Requests should be made for its return because it belongs to our people--if it is tanks or helicopters. Some hardware has been brought back from Iran," he said.

Meanwhile,
...back at the wrecked scow, Agent 49 felt gingerly for his head. It was still there. He had been hoping differently...
a number of MPs and former military officers said military hardware belongs to the people and no one should be allowed to take it out of the country.

Sayed Ahmad Silab, an MP, said that following the collapse of the former government after Ashraf Ghani
...former chancellor of Kabul University, ex-president of Afghanistan. Before returning to Afghanistan in 2002 he was a scholar of political science and anthropology. He worked at the World Bank working on international development assistance. As Finance Minister of Afghanistan between July 2002 and December 2004, he led Afghanistan's attempted economic recovery until the Karzais stole all the money. When Biden abandoned the country left with a helicopter, four cars, and part of the national treasury...
fled, dozens of helicopters and hundreds of Humvees were transferred out of the country. "The Islamic Emirate should bring back the military hardware from the neighboring countries," he said.

"This is the third time that our air and land forces have disintegrated. It is a loss, and I am very worried," said Abdul Hadi Quraishi, a former military officer.

Based on available figures, Afghanistan had 160 fighting helicopters and 22,176 armored Humvees when the former government was in power. Now, however, it is not clear how much of this hardware remains inside the country and how much has been transferred out.

30-year-old Afghan man deported from Nagpur has joined Taliban, say cops as his gun-wielding snap surfaces
2021-08-22
[OneIndia] An Afghan national, who was deported to his country from Nagpur in June this year after he was found staying here illegally, has apparently joined the Taliban
...mindless ferocity in a turban...
and his picture holding a rifle has surfaced on social media, a senior police official said on Friday.

The Taliban has seized power in Afghanistan as it swept into capital Kabul on Sunday after President Ashraf Ghani
...former chancellor of Kabul University, ex-president of Afghanistan. When Biden abandoned the country left with a helicopter, four cars, and part of the national treasury...
fled the country.

"The man, Noor Mohammad Ajiz Mohammad, 30, was found staying in Nagpur since the last 10 years illegally. He was living in a rented place in Dighori area of the city. Acting on a tip-off,
[RING!]

Lissen! Dis is Mahmoud da Weasel! I got a tip for youse...

the police had started keeping a watch on his activities. He was finally nabbed and deported to Afghanistan on June 23," he said.

"After his deportation, he seems to have joined the Taliban and his photo holding a gun has emerged on social media," he added.

During the probe earlier, police had found that he had come to Nagpur in 2010 on a six-month tourist visa. Later, he had applied to the United Nations
...boodling on the grand scale...
Human Rights Council (UNHRC) seeking a refugee status for himself, but his application was rejected. His appeal was also turned down by the UNHRC. Since then, he stayed in Nagpur illegally, the official said.

Another police official said that Noor Mohammad''s original name is Abdul Haque and his brother was working with the Taliban. Last year, Noor had floated a video on social media with a sharp-edged weapon.

After he was nabbed, police found that he had "entry and exit wounds" from a gunshot near his left shoulder, he said, adding that when his social media accounts were checked, it was found that he was following some faceless myrmidons whose videos of gun firing were available on social media.

"He was in the business of selling blankets and was unmarried. Police conducted searches at his rented accommodation, but did not find anything suspicious. His call details are also under the scanner of the police," the official said.

Motive behind killing of Parihar brothers in Kishtwar aimed at reviving terror in Chenab Valley
2021-07-30
[OneIndia] The National Investigation Agency has arrested a key conspirator in the killing of the Parihar brothers at Kishtwar, Jammu and Kashmir
...a disputed territory lying between India and Pakistain. After partition, the Paks grabbed half of it and call it Azad (Free) Kashmir. The remainder they refer to as "Indian Occupied Kashmir". They have fought four wars with India over it, the score currently 4-0 in New Delhi's favor. After 72 years of this nonsense, India cut the Gordian knot in 2019, removing the area's special status, breaking off Ladakh as a separate state, and allowing people from other areas to settle (or in the case of the Pandits, to resettle) there....
The accused has been identified as Malik Noor Mohammad Fayyaz aged 51. The case relates to the killing of Anil Kumar Parihar and his brother Ajit Kumar Parihar. The brothers were fired at by unknown persons when they were returning home.

The NIA filed a chargesheet against 7 persons including three snuffies of the Hizbul Mujahideen
...Party of Holy Warriors, founded by Muhammad Ahsan Dar in September 1989. One of the Pak sock puppets waging jihad in Indian Kashmir. It was originally organized as the armed wing of Jamaat-e-Islami. In 1990, Dar declared Hizbul as the sword arm of Jamaat. Hizbul murdered many of the pro-independence intelligentsia in Kashmir. After the organization was taken over by Syed Salahuddin Dar and several other ex-Hizb leaders were assassinated between 2001 and 2003...
who were killed. The snuffies who were killed were identified as Osama-bin-Javid, Haroon Abbas Wani and Zahid Hussain.

Four persons were also arrested in the case-Nisar Ahmed Sheikh, Nishad Ahmed Butt, Azad Hussain Bagwan and Rustam Ali. Further investigation in the case to the unearthing of a larger conspiracy. The motive was to revive terrorism in the Chenab Valley.

The NIA said that Fayyaz had visited Assam and Nagaland along with the other accused to procure weapons for furthering terrorism in the Valley. He was instrumental in motivating and recruiting gullible Moslem youths to join the cadres of HM.

Afghan Forces Hold ‘Full Control’ Of Key Highway In Southeast
2019-04-01
[ToloNews] A strategic highway linking Khost with Paktia province in the southwest of Afghanistan is fully under control of the Afghan forces over the past year while it was under influence of the Taliban
...Arabic for students...
and Haqqani network for five years.

The road, almost 50 kilometers in length, connects Zazi Maidan district of Khost with Dand Aw Patan district of Paktia.

Security forces are now able to travel by one vehicle through the graveled road, which is mostly rough terrains and has only one lane.

Dand Aw Patan is a district in Paktia which borders the Kurram tribal region of Pakistain. Zazi Maidan or Jaji Maidan is located in the northeastern part of Khost. It borders Bak district to the west, Paktia province to the north, and the Kurram Agency
...home of an intricately interconnected web of poverty, ignorance, and religious fanaticism, where the laws of cause and effect are assumed to be suspended, conveniently located adjacent to Tora Bora...
of Pakistain to the north and east. The district center is the village of Zazi Maidan, situated in the eastern part of the district.

TOLOnews news hounds Tamim Hamid and Abdul Haq Omeri traveled with an Army vehicle to the highway where they met many Army soldiers who said the highway is under their control.

Noor Mohammad, 38, who serves in the Afghan National Army ranks in Dand Aw Patan district, said he lost one of his comrades in operation for clearing the highway of holy warriors last year.

"He had a marvelous personality and was a talented boy. May the Almighty Allah forgive him. He lost his life just in this war front," said Noor
Mohammad, remembering his friend who was killed in an operation against the Taliban.

Mohammad’s friend, Noorullah, an Army soldier, said that he has not seen his family for a long time.

"My family and the children are missing me. I miss them too," said Noorullah.

"They (Taliban) are preparing from now on and they place mines in some areas. Their preparations will increase as the weather is warming," said Zakaria, 29, an Army soldier in Khost.

Every soldier in the area has their own stories.

"I still have six or seven months to return home and get married. If peace comes, I will do it soon and I will not waste the time," said Baz Mohammad, another soldier.

The Nahri area, which is the connecting point between Khost and Paktia provinces, was the last stop of the forces. A year ago, they had had to fight the Taliban to get to the area but now they reach there in a few hours of drive.
