2023-08-13
[8am] Local sources in the province of Balkh report the liquidation of a former government commander by the Taliban
...the Pashtun equivalent of men...
in this province.

Local sources stated to the Hasht-e Subh Daily on Saturday, August 12, that Sakhiudin Rahman, also known as Sakha, a local commander of the former government in the Kishindih district of Balkh province, was detained by Taliban fighters 15 days ago during a raid on his house.

According to sources, after this many days, Sakhiudin Rahman’s body was discovered buried under the ground in the center of Kishindih district by residents last Thursday.

Sources add that despite carrying the Taliban’s general amnesty letter and being busy doing hard labor after the group’s takeover, this commander was killed by the group.

This comes as last week, one of the former government commanders who had returned to the country with the mediation of Nizamuddin Qisari through the Taliban’s Commission for Engaging with Personalities was assassinated by the group in Sar-e Pol province.

Love jihad: Man Impregnates Ghaziabad Woman After Raping Her, Converts Her To His Religion
2023-07-24
[OneIndia] A man has been arrested by the cops in Ghaziabad for allegedly raping a woman after befriending her.

He got into touch with her through Facebook using his fake identity in 2020. In the initial days, they used to interact less but gradually it increased. He then asked her to meet her before raping her, according to a report in India Today

He then blackmailed her using those videos and pictures and raped her several times.

After six months, they met at his insistence. Later, they met several times. The Ghaziabad woman stated that she became pregnant after the incident but was compelled by the man to undergo an child sacrifice abortion.

It was during this time that she discovered the man's true identity as Khalid and realized that he had hidden his original religion.

The woman has alleged that the accused had been forcing her to convert to his religion. He then took her to Nizamuddin mosque in Delhi where she was converted to Islam.

"On his birthday, Khalid even got his name tattooed on my waist. He forced me to eat the meat of cows and other animals. Khalid asked me to wear Hijab always. He forced me to convert to Islam and even changed my name," OpIndia quoted the victim as saying.

The cops have said that they arrested the accused based on the complaint near Vijay Nagar railway station and filed the case under the IPC Sections 376, 313, 323, and 509.

Karachi police arrest suspect involved in killing of university student
2022-12-17
It’s not just a problem in the West.
[Dawn] A suspect allegedly involved in the killing of a varsity student a day earlier was arrested during an "encounter" which left him injured, the Bloody Karachi
...formerly the capital of Pakistain, now merely its most important port and financial center. It is among the largest cities in the world, with a population of 18 million, most of whom hate each other and many of whom are armed and dangerous...
police chief said on Friday.

NED University of Engineering and Technology student Bilal Nasir, 21, was rubbed out at a tea shop near Samama Shopping Mall on Thursday after resisting a robbery attempt.

Addressing a presser at his office today, Karachi Additional Inspector General (AIG) Javed Odho said the suspect was arrested from Super Highway.

He said that a special team led by East Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Syed Abdul Rahim Shirazi was formed on Thursday night which — with the help of witnesses and CCTV footage — arrested the suspect while his accomplice had also been identified.

He said the suspect, identified as Nizamuddin, was a 16-year-old Tajik originally from Afghanistan, adding that his accomplice was also Tajik.

Odho further said that the suspect resided in Jamali Pull area off Super Highway. "The suspect is an undocumented Democrat," he said, adding that officials would soon arrest his accomplice.

At the same time, Odho also urged citizens to avoid showing resistance to robbers.

PROTEST HELD AGAINST KILLING

students and activist muppets of Islami Jamaat Taleba (IJT) held a demonstration outside NED University on main University Road against Nasir’s killing. They claimed that street crimes had increased on the main thoroughfare.

Speaking on the occasion, Jamaat-e-Islami

The Jamaat opposed the independence of Bangladesh but has operated an independent branch there since 1975. The Jamaat's objectives are the establishment of a pure Islamic state, governed by Sharia law. It is distinguished by its xenophobia, and its opposition to Westernization, capitalism, socialism, secularism, and liberalist social mores...
(JI) Karachi chief Hafiz Naeem Rehman said officials deputed around the varsity "took huge sums of money in the name of security".

He demanded law enforcement agencies protect the lives of the nation’s children and ensure peace. "We are not demanding charity," he said, pointing out that the police and the Rangers operated using taxpayers’ money.

One side of University Road was closed during the protest, which caused a traffic jam on the busy artery.

Kabul Should Create Inclusive Govt: Qaisari
2022-06-27
[ToloNews] The former police head for the Qaisar district of Faryab province under the previous government, Nizamuddin Qaisari, returned to Kabul on Sunday after spending 10 months in Tehran.

According to Qaisari, the Islamic Emirate should include all of the nation's tribes in the government in order to achieve long-lasting peace in the country.

"I ask leaders of the Islamic Emirate to include all the tribes in the government, because Pashtuns, Uzbeks, Tajiks, Hazara

, Ghani's vice president, Qaisari, who was loyal to Dostum, rose to fame.

"You should provide me a portion in the government because there are a lot of people of Turk decent. They should have a share of our intellectuals and cadres and appoint them to departments and ministries," said Nizamuddin Qaisari, the former police chief for Qaisar district, Faryab.

"We call on these people to come to the country, the security is provided, come and live peacefully," said Mohammad Amin, a resident of Badakhshan.

the "Return and Communications with Former Afghan Officials and Political Figures" commission called on Afghans who have fled to other countries due to political developments to return to Afghanistan.

Afghan militia commander, Dostum’s aide arrested in Iran
2021-11-17
Dammit! But possibly this means the kind of arrest the Mullahs did of Al Qaeda cadres and bin Laden dependents for the better part of two decades: semi-house arrest that was really protective custody to keep them safe from Western hunters as well as provide a communication channel directly to the Al Qaeda executive suite.
[KhaamaPress] Iran’s Ministry of Interior Affairs announced that Nizamuddin Qaisari a former militia commander and aide of Abdul Rashid Dostum
...ethnic Uzbek warlord who distinguished himself fighting the Soviets and the Taliban. The story that he had a bad guy run over with a tank is an exaggeration. It was an armored personnel carrier...
accused for fabricating documents arrested.

Head of the residents and refugees of Iran’s Interior Ministry Mehdi Mahmoodi said that Qaisari had come to Iran

illegally and was making fake documents for Afghans.
Someone has to — it’s not like the Taliban have been providing either fake or real documents in recent months.
Mahmoodi said that Nizamuddin Qaisari had three different offices in Tehran and Karaj city where he would fabricate documents for Afghan refugees.

Qaisari would reportedly charge people large amounts of money for providing them with fabricating documents.

Nizamuddin Qaisari was arrested days after the Taliban

took over Afghanistan on August 15 who was then released and went to Iran.

Qaisari was one of the notorious commanders in the northern Balkh province of Afghanistan where he was leading anti-government people uprising.

Previous Afghan government had conducted several operations to arrest him but had failed.

Notes on 9-11
2021-09-11
Thoughts at random, worth every cent you paid for them.
  1. It's hard to get worked up about all the military equipment left in Afghanistan. All that materiel was left to equip the Mighty Afghan Army, and there should have been more in the pipeline. Remember they were supposed to be able to pick up the fight on their own, with U.S. air and intel support. The Ghani government was in "peace negotiations" with he Talibs in Qatar. The Talibs were supposed to have 5,000 prisoners released, after which there was supposed to be a ceasefire, and the two sides were supposed to work out a structure for a transitional government. The U.S. was supposed to be the guarantor of the deal.

  2. Biden broke the deal by not enforcing our end of it. U.S. troops were supposed to be out by May 31st, not 9/11, which was a technical violation—go to the two sides, get both to agree to the date change, initial, and done. Instead the firm of Winken, Blinken & Nod seems to have merely informed the Talibs of the change. The agreement was the reason we went eighteen months without any casualties.

  3. The deal, as far as I know didn't cover U.S. contractors, the polite guise under which the CIA operates. Going by my own experience in Vietnam, there were joint intel collection operations, which should have been keeping the Afghan side aware of most things we knew about the Talibs, which would have included the addresses and phone numbers and wives' preferences in birthday chocolates of the Quetta Shura. Withdrawing the maintenance contractors, the guys who kept the aircraft flying and the radars raiding left the ANA high and dry, which was pretty much what happened in Vietnam too, when the Democrats cut the money for the South Vietnamese government and army, which up until that time had been holding its own. Bastards. At least they predictable.

  4. The Dems expect all this to have fallen down the memory hole since it happened in an off-election year. Quick! Name something good or bad that happened in 2019! I could be wrong, but I don't think that'll happen. The blow to national pride and standing has been too severe. I think most people realize that there's no way Trump would have let it happen. If the Dems don't take a political beating it will be because people like AOC and Maxine Waters and Ilhan Omar and Harry Reid and Chuck Schumer get reelected because either their constituents like them and their opinions, or the alternative is considered too horrible, or the machine's really greased well. If we had a parliamentary system, Nancy Pelosi would be prime minister. She feels the loss. Believe it.

  5. As I write these words, it's twenty years to the day from September 10th. That's a day after Massoud was assassinated on September 9th, and the day before September 11th, when nineteen Arabs -- fifteen of them Saudi -- boarded four planes without having their carry-on luggage x-rayed. After twenty years, we're back to a September 10th world. Sure, Afghanistan's in the news, but that's because we're leaving, not kicking the collective Pashtun butt. Expect Gary Condit and his thumbless wife to reappear any time now. Expect Michael Jackson to rise from the grave for a new and makeup-free re-release of Thriller. Expect shark attacks up and down both coasts and the surfing population of Australia to decline by half.

  6. For most of the past twenty years, the public hasn't known what was going on in the most important aspect of its life. There were howls from the antiwar left when we went into Iraq. The public supported it because we had gone through the fourth-largest army in the world like a hot knife through butter in the Gulf War -- a war of maneuver, not a war of occupation. Bush I was heavily criticized for not pushing on to Baghdad, recall. Had Schwartzkopf (PBUH) been in charge this time around, things probably would have gone better, but not much better. We expected to win and win easily, and we did. When it did turn into a war of occupation, it went differently. No MacArthur in Tokyo equivalent was installed. We didn't catch Saddam right off the bat, we didn't catch Zarqawi out of the gate. How many of the "52 cards" did we actually nab? (Actually, most of them.) Izzat Ibrahim, who was probably the most important of them, died last October, probably of old age.

  7. What do we have to show for the expenditure of men and money over two hard decades? The al-Qaeda hydra had its head lopped off and grew another, and then another, but with the Saudi money drying up they're still becoming anemic. ISIS is now the bigger problem. The treasury, despite the opinions of the Dems, is looking pretty depleted. Wars cost a lot of money. Troops need paid and supplied, munitions aren't free, and the Air Force sez each new Reaper drone, costs somewhere between $14 million (2008) and $32 million (2021). It costs $4,762 per hour to operate it -- a bargain, compared to a B2 bomber ($169,313). Bin Laden's objective was to break our economy, and to that extent he succeeded. The dollar's in far worse shape than it was in 2001

  8. On the other hand, bin Laden is dead. If you're reading this, you probably aren't. The Saudis seem to have quietly given up driving Islamism and are now pretending they were on our side all along. The Paks have given up trying to pretend they're on our side. Saddam's gone. Zarqawi's gone. A succession of Chechen supremos is gone, most of them forgotten. Arafat's gone, Saleh's gone. Qadaffy's gone. Mubarak's gone, followed by Morsi. Even ben Ali's gone, and he was relatively harmless. Gone also are most of the Saudi Abu Whatsisnames and emirs and holy men who were driving Islamism. Qazi's dead, Sami's dead. Nizamuddin Shamzai is long dead. Qatar and Yusuf Qaradawi are about it. Even Morocco's Islamist government is out. We haven't spread democracy throughout the world, but we've given Islamism a pretty thorough beating.

  9. Afghanistan is the exception. We win wars of maneuver. We know how to do that. Infantry fights battles, logistics wins them. That's why there's enough equipment remaining to equip an army. That was what it was there for. The other rule we passed on was not allowing a safe haven. The Vietnamese commies had Laos and Cambodia to withdraw to. The Taliban had Pakistain.

‘Delay in Reinforcements Major Reason Behind Fall of Districts’
2021-06-22
[ToloNews] Military experts and sources have reported that delays in deploying reinforcements to districts — most of which are in rural areas — have been a major cause behind the fall of district centers to the Taliban
...Arabic for students...
in the last two months.

Sources in some provinces said that the exaggeration by the Taliban about the number of their fighters and about the expansion of their attacks on other districts is another reason behind the evacuation of districts without any resistance.

On Monday sources said that at least a dozen districts fell to the Taliban. In the past 48 hours, the centers of five districts fell to the group. In many cases, the security forces did not receive reinforcements and evacuated after hours of fighting, locals and other sources said. The districts include Sholgara, Dawlat Abad and Kushinda in Balkh province.

"Many areas are falling to the armed opposition because security forces remain under siege and they have no equipment or supplies," said Raihana Sadat, a member of the provincial council in Balkh.

On Sunday, at least 600 security force members in Dasht-e-Archi district in Kunduz retreated to Khawaja Bahauddin District in Takhar, according to sources. Later during the same day, Qala-e-Zal district in Kunduz was also evacuated by security forces.

"The Imam Sahib district will also fall if the situation continues," said Khaluddin Hakimi, a member of the Kunduz provincial council.

In Faryab, meanwhile, in addition to the fall of six districts to the Taliban, fighting has inched closer to the capital, Maimana. MPs from the province said the lack of reinforcements has led to the crisis in the province.

However,
if you can't say something nice about a person some juicy gossip will go well...
the Defense Ministry on Monday said that reinforcements have been sent to Maimana.

"It is questionable," said Sayed Anwar Rasul Oghli, head of a youth movement in Kabul. "People know that the security forces stationed in Qaisar, Dawlat Abad, Shirin Tagab and Khwaja Sabz Posh (districts) retreated without any resistance."

"We had at least 300 people. Many of them fought and said they were faced with an offensive attack. They did not know the number (of the Taliban), but it was exaggerated, and they were told that at least 5,000 to 6,000 Taliban were attacking them," said Fawzia Raufi, an MP from Faryab.

The Defense Ministry also said that all options are on the table to improve the security situation.

"You witnessed the clearance of many areas in Takhar last night," Defense Ministry front man Rohullah Ahmdzai said.

"I am ready. It is not only Qaisar (district)... I am ready to go to Faryab, to Jawzjan, or any other place that has fallen, even areas that are too challenging. I am ready to go and respond to the Talibs," said Nizamuddin Qaisari, former police chief for Qaisar district in Faryab.

Figures collected by TOLOnews show that at least 50 districts have fallen to the Taliban or have been evacuated in the last two months. Many of these districts are still contested and have seen ongoing fighting over the last few weeks.

3 Security Force Members Killed in Attack on Herat Dam
2021-03-17
[ToloNews] Three security force members, who were assigned to protect the Pashdan dam in Herat
...a venerable old Persian-speaking city in western Afghanistan, populated mostly by Tadjiks, which is why it's not as blood-soaked as areas controlled by Pashtuns...
, were killed in an attack by gunnies early Tuesday morning, an official said.

Nizamuddin Khpulwak, front man for National Water Affairs Regulation Authority, said the attack happened at around 3 am on Tuesday in which four more security force members were maimed.

Head of the Pashdan dam, Mohammad Arif Achakzai, told TOLOnews that the Taliban
...mindless ferocity in a turban...
attacked an outpost far from the dam.

He said the outpost has a lot of distance from the surrounding wall of the dam.

Taliban so far has not commented on the incident.

The dam is located in Karokh, 25 kilometers northwest of Herat city.

Herat governor's front man Jailani Farhad said the security forces killed the attackers by chasing them to a village in Pashtun Zarghon district in the province. He said five Taliban were killed in response by security forces to the attack.

The dam has the capacity of 45 million cubic meters of water, generates two megawatts of power, and has the capacity to irrigate 13,000 hectares of land, officials said.

The project is worth $117 million, according to officials.

This comes as at least 11 workers of the Pashdan Dam were kidnapped by the Taliban last month, according to Wakil Ahmad Karokhi, a provincial council member.

Tablighi Jamaat: HC quashes 29 FIRs says there is probability they were made scapegoats
2020-08-23
[OneIndia] The Bombay High Court has quashed the FIRs against 29 foreign nationals who attended the Tablighi Jamaat
A peaceful group of itinerant Deobandi preachers who form one of al-Qaeda's recruiting arms...
event in Delhi's Nizamuddin Markaz in March.

While quashing the FIRs, the court said that there was no evidence to show that they violated visa conditions and propagated Islam or were responsible for the spread of COVID-19 in the country.
The judges deny the much-touted, in jihadi circles, soft jihad of the plague? How ... interesting.
"A political government tries to find a scapegoat when there is pandemic or calamity and the circumstances show that there is probability that these foreigners were chosen to make them scapegoats," the Aurangabad Bench of the Bombay High Court said.

A Division Bench comprising Justices M G Sewlikar and T V Nalawade was hearing a petition against the foreign and Indian nationals booked under The Epidemics Act, Disaster Management Act and The Foreigners Act for attending the Markaz event. FIRs against seven Indian nationals were also quashed by the court.

The petitioners from various countries said that they had come on a valid visa issued by the Indian Government. We had come to experience Indian culture, tradition, food and hospitality. We were screened at the airport in accordance with the procedure and even informed the local authorities about our stay. We had said that we are here only to observe religious practices of Islam, the petitioners also told the court. The police however said that they had violated the visa norms.

"It appears that the state government acted under political compulsion and police also did not dare to exercise powers given to them under provisions of procedural law like the Criminal Procedure Code and substantive laws," the court said.

There was non-application of mind and the government cannot give different treatment to citizens of the different religions of different countries. On why these persons were given shelter in Mosques, the court said, " giving shelter to such persons could not have been treated as offence, commission of the act of disobedience of orders."

"The material discussed shows that no such nuisance was created by the foreigners or Indian Moslems and only an attempt was made by others to create such atmosphere against them," the Bench also said.

"A political government tries to find the scapegoat when there is pandemic or calamity and the circumstances show that there is probability that these foreigners were chosen to make them scapegoats. The aforesaid circumstances and the latest figures of infection in India show that such action against present petitioners should not have been taken. It is now high time for the concerned to repent about this action taken against the foreigners and to take some positive steps to repair the damage done by such action," the court also noted.

The court also refused to grant a stay order for an appeal as the procedures to grant permission for the foreign nationals for their return and arrangement for flights would anyway take time.

In a situation like the current pandemic, instead of being more tolerant and sensitive towards guests, they were lodged in jails by making allegations that they were responsible for violation of travel documents and for spreading the virus when no such evidence was found, the court also said.

‘Tablighi Jamaat members added to initial spread of Covid-19 in Indore, Bhopal’: Madhya Pradesh CM
2020-05-24
[HindustanTimes] CM Chouhan said that the Jamaatis who attended a religious gathering in New Delhi’s Nizamuddin in March travelled to other areas in the country and contributed to the spread coronavirus (aka COVID19 or Chinese Plague)

The members of Tablighi Jamaat
A peaceful group of itinerant Deobandi preachers who form one of al-Qaeda's recruiting arms...
contributed to the initial spread of coronavirus in Madhya Pradesh, particularly in cities like Indore and Bhopal, Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan said in an interview.

CM Chouhan said that the Jamaatis, who attended a religious gathering in New Delhi’s Nizamuddin in March, which emerged as a coronavirus hotspot in the country, travelled to other areas in the country and contributed to the spread of the virus. "They did not act responsibly," Chouhan told news agency PTI.
As John Frum explained on April 5th:

From January to March, almost 8500 stayed in the Tablighi Jamaat Delhi mosque complex, sometimes 2000 at a time. Two thousand men eating from communal plates with their hands, with the plates being reused for the next group without washing. Two thousand men using a pool of water for wudu. Washing their feet, hands, arms, noses, mouths in the same pool of water with 2000 other men.
He said these Jamaatis further added to the problem by not cooperating with government and not coming forth for timely testing.
It’s the easy but uncomfortable jihad of the Plague, dude. How dare you judge with your Unbeliver judginess!
On the Covid-19 situation in the state, Chouhan said that the administration is monitoring the situation continuously.

"Situation seems to be improving and stable now. More than 1,500 patients of Indore, Bhopal and Ujjain have recovered and are well now," Chouhan said.

Madhya Pradesh is struggling with the rising number of Covid-19 cases. With 6,170 coronavirus cases in the state as of Saturday morning, the state stands sixth on the national Covid-19 tally after Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, Gujarat
...where rioting seems to be a traditional passtime...
, Delhi and Rajasthan.

Three thousand and eighty-nine people have recovered from Covid-19 in Madhya Pradesh or have been discharged from the hospital while 272 people have bit the dust. Indore, Bhopal and Ujjain are the top affected districts in the state.
