GOP-led states remove hundreds of thousands from voter rolls, find non-citizens had registered |
2025-04-01 |
[JustTheNews] The GOP-led states of Idaho and Missouri took nearly 300,000 registrations off their voter rolls after finding inactive, ineligible, or deceased voters, in addition to duplicates and voters who moved. Non-citizens ineligible to vote under those states' laws have also been removed. Two Republican-led states have removed hundreds of thousands of registrations from their voter rolls this month, while another identified hundreds of non-citizen voters during their voter list maintenance. Collectively, the GOP-led states of Idaho and Missouri took nearly 300,000 registrations off their voter rolls after finding inactive, ineligible, or deceased voters, in addition to duplicates and voters who moved. Iowa identified nearly 300 non-citizens on the state’s voter rolls and referred them to the Iowa attorney general. AT THE FEDERAL LEVEL, SUPPORT FROM WHITE HOUSE President Donald Trump issued an executive order on election integrity last week, offering assistance to states on maintaining voter rolls. “To identify unqualified voters registered in the States: the Secretary of Homeland Security shall, consistent with applicable law, ensure that State and local officials have, without the requirement of the payment of a fee, access to appropriate systems for verifying the citizenship or immigration status of individuals registering to vote or who are already registered,” the executive order reads. The order added that DHS, with the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), “shall review each State’s publicly available voter registration list and available records concerning voter list maintenance activities … alongside Federal immigration databases and State records requested, including through subpoena where necessary and authorized by law, for consistency with Federal requirements.” Also, within three months of the order, the DHS secretary is to give “the Attorney General complete information on all foreign nationals who have indicated on any immigration form that they have registered or voted in a Federal, State, or local election, and shall also take all appropriate action to submit to relevant State or local election officials such information.” The executive order also requires the attorney general to “take appropriate action with respect to States that fail to comply with the list maintenance requirements of the National Voter Registration Act and the Help America Vote Act.” IDAHO Idaho Secretary of State Phil McGrane (R) announced on March 19th that 144,121 voter registrations were removed from the state’s voter rolls during its biennial voter list review and maintenance. The removed registrations were for inactive voters, ineligible voters, and voters who moved. The affected voters were sent notices before their registrations were canceled. “Ensuring the integrity of our elections starts with maintaining accurate voter rolls,” McGrane said in a statement. “Thanks to the hard work of our county clerks and our collaboration with state and federal agencies, Idaho continues to lead the way in protecting our elections. We are committed to ensuring that only eligible voters are on our rolls, and we are taking every step necessary to make that happen.” In July, Idaho Gov. Brad Little (R) issued an executive order to ensure that only U.S. citizens are on the state’s voter rolls, which started a review and verification of registered voters. IOWA On March 20th, Iowa Secretary of State Paul Pate (R) announced that there were 277 non-citizens confirmed to be on the state’s voter rolls, after gaining access to the Department of Homeland Security’s (DHS) Systematic Alien Verification for Entitlements (SAVE) program. Of the 277 non-citizens, 35 of them cast ballots in the November election, and five attempted to vote but their ballots were rejected. Pate sent proposed legislation to the Iowa legislature that would require citizenship verification when people register to vote. "The federal government reviewed our data and verified the citizenship status but refused to share who the noncitizens were," Pate said in a statement with the announcement. "Only eligible Iowa voters should participate in Iowa elections. We are working with the Iowa legislature on solutions to verify citizenship at registration rather than as ballots are cast, and we're confident both chambers will recognize the importance of this legislation. Our proposed solutions will be crucial next steps in confidently balancing voter participation with election integrity." Regarding whether the non-citizens had been removed from the state’s voter rolls, Pate’s office told Just the News on Wednesday, “The 277 noncitizens have been turned over to the Iowa Attorney General and Iowa Department of Public Safety for next steps.” In December, the Iowa attorney general and secretary of state sued then-DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas, DHS, then-USCIS Director Ur Jaddou, and UCIS itself for allegedly refusing to inform the state of how many non-citizens were on Iowa’s voter rolls. The case is ongoing. “Maintaining election integrity is a team sport, and we need cooperation from multiple agencies, including the federal government,” Pate said in a statement. “We are hopeful that between our legislative proposals and this lawsuit, we will have the tools we need to verify voter eligibility during the voter registration processes, allowing us to ensure in the future, only eligible Iowa voters are participating in Iowa elections.” When asked by Just the News about whether the lawsuit will be dropped following the executive order, Pate’s office said, “Our goal is to receive the best possible information to help us maintain Iowa’s election integrity. At this time, we do not have plans to drop the lawsuit. We will be paying close attention to the implementation of the executive order and revisit the question as necessary.” MISSOURI Missouri Secretary of State Denny Hoskins (R) announced on March 14th that his state had removed 18,637 deceased voters from Missouri’s voter rolls since Jan. 13th. State law requires county clerks and local election authorities to examine their voter rolls for people who have moved away, died, or cannot vote anymore. “In Missouri, we are taking action—not just making promises—when it comes to election integrity,” Hoskins said in a statement. “By working hand-in-hand with local election officials, we have removed outdated registrations, strengthening confidence in our elections and making sure every vote cast is legitimate.” Missouri also removed 75 duplicate registrations, 1,864 disqualified registered voters (adjudged incapacitated or felon), 133,520 inactive voters, 2,583 voters who moved, and 282 voters who requested to be removed from the state’s voter rolls. |

FSB identifies a terrorist who was preparing explosions in the Moscow region |
2023-10-19 |
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited. [Regnum] In Solnechnogorsk near Moscow, a criminal case was opened against a former member of the Ukrainian “Right Sector” under the article on preparation of a terrorist attack (Part 1 of Article 205 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation), a source told IA Regnum. As it became known, FSB officers detained suspect Alexey S. last year for the manufacture of explosives, their storage, transportation and hooliganism. However, it soon became clear that the man went to Ukraine in 2016 and joined the extremist organization Right Sector. In 2022, Alexey returned to Russia with the goal of carrying out explosions in the Moscow region. In a forest belt in Solnechnogorsk, he created a cache in which he stored explosive substances and Molotov cocktails. Three criminal cases were opened against him at once, but the court insisted on toughening the article. As a result, the case was reclassified under Part 1 of Art. 205 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (“Terrorist act”). This article provides for a punishment of 10 to 15 years in prison. On October 4, Regnum news agency wrote that a native of the Chelyabinsk region, recruited abroad, intended to carry out a terrorist attack in the Altai Territory on instructions from a banned pro-Ukrainian terrorist organization. During a search at the suspect's place of temporary residence, components for making an improvised explosive device (IED) were discovered and seized. DeSantis Unveils 19 State Alliance to Fight Biden's 'Woke' ESG Agenda |
2023-03-19 |
[Townhall] Gov. Ron DeSantis![]() (R-Fla.) unveiled an alliance with more than a dozen other states to fight against President Joe The Big GuyBiden ...46th president of the U.S. Old, boring, a plagiarist, fond of hair sniffing and grabbing the protruding parts of women, and not whatcha call brilliant. Just look at the competent way he dumped Afghanistan... 's environmental, social, and corporate governance investing (ESG). According to a blurb, the 19 states argue that Biden's woke ESG agenda is "destabilizing the American economy and the global financial system," threatening America's economic freedom. "The proliferation of ESG throughout America is a direct threat to the American economy, individual economic freedom, and our way of life, putting investment decisions in the hands of the woke mob to bypass the ballot box and inject political ideology into investment decisions, corporate governance, and the everyday economy," the states wrote in a joint statement. The states pushed against Biden's woke ideology, saying that he is putting the pensions of thousands of hundreds of hardworking Americans at risk instead of prioritizing investment decisions on the highest rate of return. The blurb says that they aim to change how asset managers invest Americans' money and ensure that corporations focus on maximizing shareholder value. "Retirees, already suffering from the reckless fiscal policies of the Biden Administration, will continue to experience diminished returns on the investment of their hard-earned money while the corporate elite continues to use their economic power to impose policies on the country that they could not achieve at the ballot box," the statement continued. "The proliferation of ESG throughout America is a direct threat to the American economy, individual economic freedom, and our way of life, putting investment decisions in the hands of the woke mob to bypass the ballot box and inject political ideology into investment decisions, corporate governance, and the everyday economy." Republicans have brought forth legislation that would nullify the Biden Administration's existing ESG rule, allowing retirement fund managers to consider ESG factors. However, some people are alive only because it's illegal to kill them... the president is expected to veto it. The statement highlighted two efforts the states agreed to fight back on. One is to protect taxpayers from ESG influences across state systems, and the other is to protect citizens from ESG influences in the financial sector. |

The secret of the Andromeda yacht. Why did the US tie up Ukraine and the terrorist attack on Potoki? |
2023-03-18 |
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited. [REGNUM] Former adviser to the President of the United States, John Bolton, noted with some bewilderment: there is a wave of publications in the American press about the Ukrainian trace in the terrorist attack on Nord Stream. But even Germany, which suffered from sabotage, believed in the “Kremlin operation” until the last moment. The mention of Ukraine undermines the confidence of European allies in Kyiv, Bolton worries and comes to unexpected, but hardly correct conclusions. The idea that some pro-Ukrainian forces were involved in the explosions of the Nord Stream 1 and Nord Stream 2 gas pipelines could jeopardize the foreign aid that Kiev receives from its European allies. Such a warning was made in an article written for The Wall Street Journal by American politician John Bolton, who served as US permanent representative to the UN under George W. Bush and national security adviser to Donald Trump. ![]() "New intelligence suggesting a 'pro-Ukrainian group' sabotaged the Nord Stream gas pipelines in September sparked an unexpected political backlash in Europe,” Bolton notes in an article titled “Why the West won't let Ukraine beat Russia?" The epithet "unexpected" in relation to the reaction of Europeans is used, probably in an ironic manner. Against the backdrop of "potential economic shocks" from undermining gas pipelines that sent fuel to Europe, "speculation about direct or indirect involvement of Ukraine" in the attack undermines the support that the West can provide to Kiev, Bolton points out. In the same article, Trump's ex-adviser voiced the thesis: Joe Biden "wants Russia to lose, but is afraid of Ukraine's victory." The attacks on Nord Stream, which took place in September last year, as you know, were again in the spotlight a month ago, after the publication of an investigation by American journalist Seymour Hersh. There it was about involvement in undermining the leadership of the CIA and specific individuals in the Biden administration . The version about the Ukrainian trace in the terrorist attack, which left the Europeans without gas, began to be dispersed in the media about a week ago at the suggestion of The New York Times . An authoritative American publication, citing US intelligence, reported: intelligence transmitted to the US leadership indicates the involvement of a "pro-Ukrainian group." True, at the same time, a reservation was made: the US authorities do not have information about the group’s connection with Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky or his “chief assistants”. "Ukraine has denied any responsibility. The German authorities suggested that this could be a false flag operation by the Kremlin, prepared in order to arouse suspicion against Kiev," says John Bolton. At the same time, the German media picked up the version of the Ukrainian trace. Die Zeit writes that the group's traces "lead to Ukraine", while Der Spiegel claims that his sources found the Andromeda yacht, which, according to the NY Times, was used by a "pro-Ukrainian group." Moscow's attitude to these constructions is known - "complete nonsense," designed to distract specialists from the United States and Britain from the investigation into the involvement in the terrorist attack. On the other hand, Kyiv also reacted sharply to the version coming from the United States. The head of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry, Dmitry Kuleba, called a series of articles about the "pro-Ukrainian group" in various publications a coordinated action. The publications, which are obviously caused by Washington's attempts to divert accusations caused by Hersh's revelations, American expert Dmitry Drobnitsky told REGNUM. But the question remains: if it is necessary to divert suspicions from oneself, and the version of "Russian involvement" disappears due to obvious illogicality, then why Ukrainians loyal to the West (and not, for example, conditional international terrorists) are appointed to the role of "villains" who organized the terrorist attack? After all, as Bolton also points out, this clearly will not improve the reputation of Kyiv in the eyes of its European allies, primarily the Germans. The version that slips in Bolton's article - "Biden is afraid of a Ukrainian victory" is not considered convincing by experts. Rather, this is a consequence of the chaos in domestic politics, when "the most important thing is to topple the hardware enemy," Drobnitsky believes. According to the opinion, which he voiced earlier, the appearance of Hersh's revelations is connected with the struggle with the people of the Clinton clan surrounded by Biden. Specifically, with Assistant to the President for National Security Jake Sullivan and CIA Director William Burns. "Imagine: you want to divert suspicion from the Clintons, get them out of harm's way. Who then blew up the Nord Streams? Islamists? But how did they do it and why do they need Nord Stream? Moreover, if these are Islamists, then their act, therefore, must be condemned. And if you condemned them, does this mean that the Nord Streams were good for Europe?” - Drobnitsky reconstructs the logic of the customers of publications about the “Ukrainian version”. "It means that the Ukrainians allegedly did this in retaliation for Russia. If the version "enters," then the United States has the opportunity to say: "We condemn any terrorist acts on the engineering infrastructure. However, the desperate Ukrainians who were subjected to a brutal attack by Russia can be understood," the interlocutor argues. But, he notes, at the same time, Zelensky and other figures with whom the United States is "working" in Ukraine are clearly removed from the blow - "they did not know." John Bolton, who is sounding the alarm about whether this will hurt support for Ukraine, is "a person who has little to do with the mentioned internal Washington showdowns and media and does not understand anything about them,” Drobnitsky notes. Bolton, being "a stubborn neo-conservative, a very direct and primitive person," makes flamboyant and aggressive, "hawkish" statements. And due to this, he gets a tribune in the press. "It is naive to assume that the promotion of the version of Ukrainian involvement in sabotage means “draining” Kiev or even the West’s refusal to support specifically Vladimir Zelensky,” agrees Konstantin Blokhin, a leading researcher at the Center for Security Studies of the Russian Academy of Sciences. But, in his opinion, behind the emergence of the "Kyiv trace" is not chaos, but a well-thought-out strategy. "For the United States now, the main thing is not to complicate relations with the countries of Europe against the background of how fatigue from the anti-Russian agenda is growing in these countries. The main thing is to prevent a split in the Euro-Atlantic unity," notes Americanist expert Malek Dudakov. "This will not affect Europe’s attitude towards Ukraine, especially since there is a stuffing about an abstract "pro-Ukrainian group," the expert added. US allies are not in a position to change their attitude towards the Kyiv regime, let alone refuse to support it. In order to divert suspicions of terrorism from oneself, fraught with image damage, the most primitive thing that can be done is to transfer responsibility to Ukraine, Blokhin told REGNUM news agency. "For Kiev, this is like water off a duck's back, because it is "fighting against Russia," and in war, all means are good," he stressed. Now the head of Kyiv diplomacy, Kuleba, allows himself to be indignant, but if Washington gives the command, then Kyiv will take responsibility for the “action” without any objections, the expert believes. What was harvested off the coast of Crimea by a US drone that fell into the sea |
2023-03-16 |
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited. [REGNUM] The United States blamed Russia for the loss of an American MQ-9 Reaper drone off the coast of Crimea. Conflicting versions are being issued in Washington. According to one of them, an expensive drone crashed literally “because of a bucket of kerosene” - fuel that was accidentally drained by the Russian Su-27. What was the “Reaper” (as the name of the drone is translated as) tracking down at the Russian borders? The US Department of Defense announced the loss of the MQ-9 Reaper reconnaissance and strike drone in the Black Sea. According to the American version, Russian Su-27 fighters were raised to intercept the drone, which, actively maneuvering in the air, knocked the drone off course, after which it deviated from the route and fell. According to the Pentagon, during the incident, the fighters carried out an emergency fuel dump on the MQ-9 route, which led to the loss of control over the drone. ![]() Another version, which does not quite coincide with the first, was presented by the European Command of the US Armed Forces. They claim here: one of the two Russian Su-27 aircraft hit the propeller of an American drone, which led to its crash in the waters of the Black Sea, TASS reports. According to the Russian Ministry of Defense, the American reconnaissance and strike drone MQ-9, whose route passed in the region of the Crimean peninsula, performed unsafe actions near the coast, turning off the transponders. Due to sharp maneuvering, the device went into uncontrolled flight with a loss of altitude and collided with the surface of the water. The Russian Aerospace Forces did not use airborne weapons, did not come into contact with the drone, and returned safely to their home airfield. WHERE DO THE SCOUTS COME FROM? Our specialists have had the opportunity to observe the flights of Reaper vehicles near our borders on numerous occasions. American drones have been making reconnaissance flights to the borders of Crimea for the past eight years. According to the Flightradar service , which monitors air traffic, American reconnaissance drones, as a rule, operate in conjunction with radar and/or electronic intelligence aircraft. Reaper reconnaissance and strike drones (literally translated as “Reaper”) also operate in conjunction with the heavier RQ-4 Global Hawk drones with the callsign Forte11. The devices take off from US Air Force bases in Crete, Sicily, and also from NATO bases. As a rule, one RQ-4 and several MQ-9s are involved in one sortie, which disable the transponders. The downed MQ-9 took off from an air base in Romania on Tuesday morning for a scheduled reconnaissance mission that typically lasts 9 to 10 hours with a 24-hour airborne time limit for the drone. This data is provided by The New York Times, citing a senior Pentagon official. The drone, according to the source, was not armed, but carried out reconnaissance tasks at an altitude of about 7,600 meters with a maximum flight altitude of up to 13,000 meters. Such sorties are carried out regularly, said a representative of the US military department. WHAT DID THE "REAPER" COLLECT The Pentagon refused to disclose what equipment the Reaper carried. "I won't go into details about the characteristics of this drone," Pentagon spokesman Patrick Ryder said. Washington does not advertise what tasks their reconnaissance aircraft perform in the Black Sea, so they will seek to cover their tracks, Alexei Chadayev, a public figure and head of the Dronnitsa movement, commented to REGNUM. Specifically, the apparatus that fell into the Black Sea had reconnaissance equipment on board in the form of a payload, the expert believes. “I think that they mainly detected missile launches and aircraft takeoffs to warn the Ukrainians when missile strikes were taking place. If you talk about what he was carrying on board, it turns out that the United States is thus participating in the conflict on the side of Ukraine. And they don’t want to admit this, ” Chadaev pointed out. The decision to fly closer to our airspace could be dictated by the desire to "look deeper," the expert noted. For example - "to study the area, conditionally, the left bank of the Dnieper." A deliberate provocation is not excluded as a way to check how our air defense systems will react, Chadayev added. "Now there is information that the Americans tried to blow it up remotely at the bottom, but ours jammed the control signal. I don’t know if they managed to undermine it, the signal goes so-so under water. So it can be disassembled and studied." the expert believes. ASSASSIN OF GENERAL SOLEIMANI "Actually, Reaper is a drone of rather large dimensions: 11 meters long and with a wingspan of 20 meters. It was adopted by the US Air Force in the early 2000s. It is used both for reconnaissance and for strike purposes, like the same Turkish Bayraktar. It is capable of carrying military weapons in the form of AGM-114 Hellfire missiles and, as a rule, is used for targeted elimination of conditional "terrorists," Chadayev said. It was with the help of the "Reapers" that the leaders of various groups were eliminated, as well as the Iranian General Qassem Soleimani. "These drones can be effectively used against an enemy that does not have air defense systems. Because with the existence of a powerful air defense system, it is immediately destroyed. So, in fact, it happened with the Bayraktars in the first months of the NMD, when they were constantly shot down," the expert said. The fact that the "Reapers" are vulnerable to air defense, it became clear during the wars in Libya and Yemen. In 2019, two MQ-9s were shot down by Libyan anti-aircraft gunners, Defense News reported. In both cases, Russian-made Pantsir-S1E installations transferred from the UAE were used. In August 2021, another Reaper was shot down in the skies over Yemen by anti-aircraft fire from Houthi rebels. In 2020, Forbes reported that the US Air Force generally considers the MQ-9 Reaper drones obsolete and plans to replace them with new models by 2030. But this is a tested product for export - in February, the idea was voiced in the United States to transfer several "Reapers" to the Ukrainian Air Force. Ukraine can join the number of countries operating American combat UAVs, along with France, Japan, Spain, India, Italy and the Netherlands. Now Washington is using the MQ-9 incident as an excuse to put pressure on the Joe Biden administration - and force him to give the go-ahead to send F-16 fighter jets to Ukraine "to increase defense capability." "It’s definitely not worth expecting them to stop their flights," Chadaev predicts. "They have dozens, if not hundreds of such drones in service, so nothing critical has happened to them. But the damage was done to them in the media field - a device worth $57 million was lost "due to a bucket of kerosene" - jet fuel dropped. Americans look stupid." Now Washington is developing a possible response to inflict comparable damage on us, the expert added. March 15, 2023 Sergei Adamov. |

[IsraelTimes] Anoosheh Ashoori, tossed in the slammer... anything you say can and will be used against you, whether you say it or not... for 10 years on charges of spying for Israel, was freed alongside compatriot Nazanin Zaghari-Ratcliffe after UK reached deal with Iran ![]() over historic debt. The family of a UK-Iranian man freed this week after spending five years in a Tehran jail were forced to pay Iran £27,000 ($35,600) in order to secure his return home, they said Saturday. Anoosheh Ashoori, a retired engineer from southeast London, was arrested in 2017 and tossed in the slammer ... anything you say can and will be used against you, whether you say it or not... for 10 years on charges of spying for Israel. He flew home on Wednesday having been released along with compatriot Nazanin Zaghari-Ratcliffe after Britannia reached a deal with Tehran over a historic military contract debt. But his release was only secured after the family were able to meet a last-minute demand to pay a fine, they said. "On March 14th, Dad’s conditional release was signed and communicated to us," the family wrote on fundraising site Crowdfunder. "We had been waiting for 5 years for Dad to come home and were suddenly told that the only thing now stopping this... was an arbitrary £27,000 fine which we suddenly had to pay," they added. "We had less than 12 hours to raise the money, taking out loans using our credit cards, and opening new accounts," Ashoori’s wife, Sherry Izadi, told The Guardian in comments published Saturday. "My only thought was: ’How are we going to do this in time?'" The Crowdfunder appeal had already raised more than £33,000 on Saturday, £6,000 above the target. FATE OF THIRD PRISONER UNCLEAR The families of both Zaghari-Ratcliffe and Ashoori believe they were being held as political prisoners until the historic debt was settled. The final deal was reached "after highly complex and exhaustive negotiations," UK Foreign Secretary Liz Truss said. The fate of a third British-Iranian held in Tehran was on Saturday unclear. Truss announced on Wednesday that Morad Tahbaz, who also holds US nationality, has been released from prison "on furlough" to his Tehran home. But relatives said he had been taken back to Evin prison after only 48 hours at his family home in Tehran. The UK Foreign Office said that he had gone to the prison to have an ankle tag fitted, but had yet to give an update on whether he had been returned. The ministry said Iran would be in breach of its commitments if the 69-year-old conservationist was kept in jail. Sixteen Years After the End of Syrian Tutelage, Lebanese Politicians Recall the Historical Moment |
2021-03-17 |
[ENGLISH.AAWSAT] On the 16th anniversary of the withdrawal of the Syrian army from Leb![]() in the wake of the Cedar Revolution, political parties and groups, who took part in it, no longer agree on anything but its slogans. The revolution has turned into a popular uprising against all political authorities, including the so-called March 14 forces, especially with the deterioration of the social and economic situation. In remarks to Asharq al-Awsat, Antoine Haddad, academic and former vice president of the Democratic Renewal Movement, said: "The moment of March 14th is historic and unique, unprecedented in the history of Lebanon. It is only comparable to the October 2019 uprising, in terms of size, diversity, and popular support." But he noted that the "sectarian parties", which participated 16 years ago in the Cedar revolution, have committed the mistake of neglecting vital issues. While the March 14 Forces have neglected the people’s demands for reform and fighting corruption, the forces active in the October 17 uprising are today ignoring the "issue of illusory sovereignty", which is mainly represented by the weapons of Hezbollah and the Iranian hegemony over the state, Haddad underlined. For his part, the head of the Future Movement, Prime Minister-designate Saad Hariri ...Second son of Rafik Hariri, the Leb PM who was assassinated in 2005.
