Four security personnel martyred in Peshawar IBO
2024-07-11
[GEO.TV] Four security personnel were martyred during a joint intelligence-based operation (IBO) in Peshawar on Wednesday, Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said in a statement.

On the reported presence of a high-profile terrorist, the action was jointly carried out by the personnel of the security forces and KP police in the Hassan Khel area today, the military's media wing said.

The joint IBO witnessed an intense exchange of fire in which three terrorists, including a high-value target — terrorist commander Abdul Raheem — were killed.

The security personnel also recovered weapons and ammunition from the possession of the slain terrorists, the ISPR added.

Raheem was highly wanted by the law enforcement agencies, who had a head money of Rs6 million fixed on him by the government.

The killed terrorist commander was also responsible for the martyrdom of Captain Hussain Jehangir Shaheed and Havildar Shafiq Ullah Shaheed on May 26, 2024, the military’s media wing said, adding: “Today’s operation has avenged the heinous act and has brought the main perpetrator to justice.”

However,
man does not live by words alone, despite the fact that sometimes he has to eat them...
during the intense exchange of fire, the four brave sons of soil — Sepoy Muhammad Idrees, 34, resident of Swabi district; Sepoy Badam Gul, 34, resident of Kohat district, as well as Sub-Inspector Tajmir Shah, 38, resident of Peshawar district and Assistant Sub Inspector Muhammad Akram of KP's CTD, 34, resident of Mansehra district, having fought gallantly, embraced martyrdom.

“Pakistan’s security forces stand shoulder to shoulder with other law enforcement agencies to ensure peace and stability across Pakistan and such sacrifices of our brave men further strengthen our resolve,” it concluded.

Pakistani politician goes on trial over alleged child sex offences in UK

, Abbottabad
, has gone on trial over two alleged child sex offences.

Details have emerged of how Muhammad Khurram Khan, aged 60, arrived in the UK earlier this year to attend his son’s law graduation ceremony but engaged allegedly with a child for sexual purposes — and got caught by the detectives.

The prosecution at the Kingston Crown Court told the judge that Khurram has been charged with two counts: "attempted sexual communications with a child" and "arranging or facilitating commission of a child sex offence".

Khurram, who is in the UK on a visitor’s visa and belongs to the Khan khel clan, appeared before the judge via video link at the Kingston Crown Court from his cell in Wandsworth Prison. He was arrested earlier this year and has not been bailed yet.

At the hearing, he was represented by his lawyer Charlene Sumnall. Khan has denied the charges of minor sex offenses and people close to have him have said he has been framed and targeted. One of his close friends told Geo News that Khan is an innocent man and denies the charges by the UK’s prosecution.

Khurram thought he was talking to a girl, aged under 17, and the "girl" pretended as such but in reality there was a police detective on the other end of the social media application. The contact, its understood, started on social media.

The 2003 Sexual Offences Act provides that the age of consent across the whole of the UK is 16 — this is the minimum age when young people of any sex, gender, or sexual orientation can legally take part in sexual activity.

to Mansehra.

As per Mansehra District Police Officer (DPO) Shafiullah Gandapur, the surrounding areas were cordoned off after the firing and launched a search operation for the arrest of suspects.

The martyred official was identified as Aamir Khan Swati.

It may be noted that similar incidents of violence against the Motorway Police have surfaced in the recent past.

On April 24, a woman rammed her car into a Motorway Police personnel and vented anger at the traffic wardens for being stopped for speeding.

The entire incident was filmed and posted on social media, showing her arguing in an abusive manner with the Motorway Police officer for being pulled over for speeding.

Later, another such incident took place near Kallar Kahar where two ladies "misbehaved" with Motorway Police personnel, threatening and hurling abuses at them during the quarrel.

The video of the incident went viral on social media, in which they were heard alleging that the Motorway personnel hurt one of the women while trying to "snatch" her mobile phone while she was making the cops’ video.

He also revealed that the police were already on alert after having received security threats regarding foreigners in the city.

During the conduct of the operation, two bandidos snuffies identified as Abdullah Khadri and Khalid alias "Janan" were sent to hell, the statement added.

Two Pakistan Army sepoys martyred in Lakki Marwat shootout
2024-01-11
[GEO.TV] Two soldiers were martyred during a gun battle with terrorists in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa's Lakki Marwat district, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said Wednesday, in the latest terror strike on the military.

In a statement, the ISPR — army’s media wing — said that a “fire exchange took place between the security forces and terrorists” in the district, during which the Pakistan Army's security forces ”effectively engaged the terrorists' location”.

As a result of their exchange, two terrorists — identified as Aftab aka Malang and Masood Shah — were “sent to hell”, the statement mentioned.

“These terrorists remained actively involved in numerous terrorist activities against the security forces as well as targeted killings of innocent civilians,” the ISPR added.

The security forces also recovered weapons, ammunition, and explosives following the completion of the task.

However, during the intense exchange of fire, two brave soldiers — Sepoy Muhammad Afzal, 29, resident of district Bhimber, Azad Kashmir, and Sepoy Ibrar Hussain, 27, resident of district Mansehra — embraced martyrdom after fighting gallantly.

In response, a sanitisation operation is being carried out to eliminate any terrorists found in the area, the ISPR said.

“…the security forces of Pakistan are determined to wipe out the menace of terrorism from the country and such sacrifices of our brave soldiers further strengthen our resolve,” the military’s media wing added.

, The Express Tribune reported on Sunday. Another terrorist Ali Syed, who was involved in the Swat attack, also went to the neighbouring country in 2018.

This comes amid growing concerns over the resurgence of activities by the Tehrik-e-Taliban

Pakistain (TTP) across several provinces in Pakistain.

Last week, the Pak senators from both the ruling party and the opposition raised issues about the heightened risk of terrorist attacks by the banned outfit.

Pakistain People's Party (PPP) Senator Raza Rabbani said that a call had been made to take parliament on board regarding the situation of infiltration by the TTP in Pak regions, especially the ones near the border, the Dawn newspaper reported.

"It is the right of the people to know under what conditions dialogue with the group was held and on which point it ended and what threats the country is facing that the ministry is forced to use the alert," he said.

Earlier, other senators had also expressed concern over the increase in terrorist attacks. Pakistain's State Minister for Law Shahadat Hussain conceded that terror activities had witnessed a sharp increase, and stated that members of security forces were geared up to curb the menace.

The highest number of terror incidents in Pakistain this year was recorded in September, said an Islamabad-based think tank pointed to the resumption of attacks by the outlawed TTP.

The number of terror attacks increased in September compared to August this year, the Dawn newspaper reported citing the Pakistain Institute for Conflict and Security Studies (PICSS).

September witnessed 42 bully boy attacks with an increase of 35 per cent compared to August. The Pak think tank also observed an increase of 106 per cent in violence in erstwhile Fata and Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (KP).

In August this year, the think tank said the murderous Moslems carried out 31 attacks across Pakistain, in which 37 people were killed and 55 others injured.
