Rare Pandemic Anomaly: Larry King's widow reveals his cause of death was not COVID-19
2021-01-29
[Today.com] Larry King's widow has revealed his cause of death, saying that it was not COVID-19 even though he had been hospitalized with it earlier this month.

The legendary broadcast and television personality died at 87 on Jan. 23 at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles. His widow, Shawn King, told "Entertainment Tonight" that while the family feared for his life after COVID-19 put him in the intensive-care unit, it was not the cause of death.

"It was an infection, it was sepsis," she said.
We pray for sepsis when bad guys are involved. But eventually you have to die of something, and he’d beaten everything else.

Unveiled Court Document Confirms Tara Reade Reported Biden Sexual Harassment in 1996
2020-05-09
[AMGREATNESS] A newly-unveiled court document from 1996 appears to further corroborate Tara Reade’s claims of sexual harassment against her by then-Senator, and now Democratic presidential nominee Joe Foreign Policy Whiz Kid Biden
...I had the great honor of being arrested with our UN Ambassador on the streets of Soweto, trying to get to see him on Robbens Island...
, as reported by the New York Post.

The document was first obtained by The Tribune in San Luis Obispo, which is where Reade’s mother was confirmed to have been living at the time of the alleged assault. The document is from Reade’s divorce from then-husband Theodore Dronen, and features Dronen confirming that she had told him about enduring sexual harassment "in U.S. Senator Joe Biden’s office."

"It was obvious that this event had a very traumatic effect on Reade," the statement by Dronen reads, "and that she is still sensitive and effected by it today."

This is the latest piece of corroborating evidence of Reade’s account, and one more concrete example of contemporaneous evidence involving someone who was told about the alleged assault around the time that it happened. Reade alleges that Biden sexually assaulted her in his Senate office in 1993 when they were alone, and that she left his employ shortly thereafter.

A former neighbor of Reade’s, who also lived in San Luis Obispo at the time, came forward last week to confirm that Reade told her about the incident in either 1995 or 1996. Reade also said that she told her mother, who subsequently called into the Larry King Live show shortly afterward, anonymously, to describe her daughter’s plight and to seek advice from King and his panel; video of the clip has since emerged, with King confirming that the caller lived in San Luis Obispo. When asked, Reade confirmed that it was her late mother’s voice in the clip.

Joe Biden and his campaign have repeatedly denied the allegation. But the increasing credibility of the claim has led to a rift within the Democratic Party, as well as widespread allegations of hypocrisy regarding Biden and his supporters, considering their previous stance of believing all women at the height of the "Me Too" movement.

Joe Biden's sexual assault problem gets worse, and he seems more senile than ever
2020-04-28
[American Thinker] The news about Joe Biden has taken on a completely surreal quality. For a long time, the headlines were about his declining mental state, which is becoming hard to ignore. This was bizarre enough in a presumptive Democrat candidate for the presidency.

Then, Tara Reade dropped a bombshell, alleging that the same politician known for publicly groping and sniffing women and children had sexually assaulted her. The media assiduously ignored Reade's allegations as long as they could and eventually reported on them only to dismiss both Reade and the allegations.

The media’s worst nightmare came true, though, when corroborating evidence about Reade’s allegations started piling up. It was easy enough to downplay corroboration when it came from her brother and a friend. Of course they’d side with her. But when a phone call from Reade’s mother to the Larry King show in 1993 — a time contemporaneous with the event — popped up and Mom was talking about her daughter’s problems with a "prominent senator," things got dicey.

The nightmare reached Stephen King proportions yesterday, when two women who knew Reade in the mid-1990s, not long after the alleged assault, reported that Reade had told them about the assault. While the fact that she told them shortly after she left Biden’s office does not prove that he attacked her, it certainly proves that she’s not creating the story out of whole cloth today for some nefarious purpose. By contrast, Christine Blasey-Ford, a pro-abortion fanatic, first started telling the story about Kavanaugh when he was touted as a possible Supreme Court nominee during the Bush presidency, decades after the event allegedly happened.

Lynda LaCasse, who intends to vote for Biden no matter what he did, was Reade’s neighbor and friend in 1995 or 1996. She told Business Insider that she remembers Reade telling her about Biden’s conduct two or three years before:

New York cancels presidential primary, citing coronavirus
2020-04-28
[FOXNEWS] New York has canceled its Democratic presidential primary for the first time ever due to the coronavirus (aka COVID19 or Chinese Plague)
...the twenty first century equivalent of bubonic plague, only instead of killing off a third of the population of Europe it kills 3.4 percent of those who notice they have it. It seems to be fond of the elderly, especially Iranian politicians and holy men...
pandemic -- igniting a backlash from supporters of Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders
...The only first openly Socialist member of the U.S. Senate. Sanders was Representative-for-Life from Vermont until moving to the Senate for the rest of his life in 2006, assuming the seat vacated by Jim Jeffords. He ran for the 2016 nomination for president, to be cheated out of it by Hillary Clinton, then went back to being an Independent socialist, waiting for 2020 to roll around...
, whose campaign had asked that his name be allowed to stay on the ballot.

The move by Democrats on the New York State Board of Elections -- nixing the election scheduled for June 23 -- followed Sanders’ announcement earlier this month that he would suspend his presidential campaign, rendering former Vice President Joe Foreign Policy Whiz Kid Biden
...You're a lyin' dog-faced pony soldier...
the presumptive Democratic nominee.

With this decision, New York became the first state to cancel its primary altogether, though 16 states have postponed their primaries amid the pandemic and many have taken steps to encourage voting by mail.

The announcement drew fire from Sanders supporters. On Sunday, Sanders’ campaign asked the New York State Board of Elections to let his name remain on the Democratic primary ballot, saying doing so would impede "efforts to unify the Democratic Party in advance of November elections."

"It is completely wrong for the BOE to cancel New York’s Presidential Primary," tweeted New York Rep. Alexandria Boom Boom Ocasio-Cortez
Dem Congressgirl from da Bronx in Noo Yawk and leader of the Mean Girl Caucus in Congress. One of the Great Minds of the 21st Century, she is known as much for her innaleck as for her dance moves. She is all in favor of socialism, even though she's fuzzy on the details...
, who had endorsed Sanders in the race. "This decision is not informed by public health: the state is still holding elections for every other seat that day, & so far the only way your ballot will 100% be counted in NY is to vote in person!"

The 1993 CNN show featuring Tara Reade's mom has gone missing from Google Play?
2020-04-26
[Hot Air] That story about Tara Reade's mother calling in to the Larry King Live show in 1993 that John wrote about has seemingly taken a turn for the weird. As you probably recall, Newsbusters dredged up the old episode that originally aired on August 11th of that year. King took a call from San Luis Obispo, California. It's now been as close to definitively confirmed as possible that the call was indeed from Jeanette Altimus, Reade's mother.

So here's the weird part. As discovered by Twitter user J.L. Hamilton and reported by Fox News, if you go search for the episode in question on Google Play, it's not there. The rest of the season is listed (though not currently available for download), but the August 11th episode doesn't show up. And the details only get stranger from there.

Clip surfaces of Biden accuser Tara Reade's mother phoning into 'Larry King Live' in 1993
2020-04-25
[FoxNews] A resurfaced clip on "Larry King Live" in 1993 appears to show the mother of Tara Reade -- who has accused Joe Biden of past sexual assault while in the Senate -- alluding to "problems" her daughter faced while working as a staffer for the then-Delaware senator.

In a telephone interview with Fox News on Friday night, Reade confirmed that her mother called into the show. Biden's presidential campaign has adamantly denied Reade's allegations but the video could be cited as evidence supporting Reade's allegation – even though her late mother, in the clip, does not specifically refer to a sexual assault claim.

The Intercept on Friday first reported the transcript of a broadcast from Aug. 11, 1993, of a woman from San Luis Obispo County in California calling into the show about her daughter's experience on Capitol Hill....

Larry King: 'CNN stopped doing news a long time ago'
2018-11-09
[Washington Times] Former longtime CNN host Larry King on Wednesday slammed his former network for focusing so much on President Trump’s every move that they neglect what he considers real news.

The now-RT America host lamented that CNN, where he hosted a prime-time show for 25 years, made Mr. Trump the story early on in his campaign and never got off the merry-go-round.

"CNN stopped doing news a long time ago," Mr. King told Fox News contributor and former CNN anchor Rick Sanchez on RT America Wednesday night. "They do Trump. Fox is Trump TV and MSNBC is anti-Trump all the time.

"There [were] vicious winds and storms in the Northeast the other day, not covered on any of the three cable networks. Not covered," he said. "So when CNN started covering Trump ‐ they were the first ‐ they covered every speech he made and then they made Trump the story. So, Trump is the story in America.

"I guess it’s to their regret," he added.

Democratic Senate hopeful: Up to 20 percent of Muslims want caliphate
2015-12-11
[POLITICO] A prominent Democratic congresswoman and Senate candidate said Thursday that up to 20 percent of Muslims want to establish an Islamic caliphate and would use "terrorism" to achieve that goal.

Rep. Loretta Sanchez said Muslims seeking a caliphate are willing to use terrorism and violence to impose their views on the Western world.

"We know that there is a small group, and we don't know how big that is -- it can be anywhere between 5 and 20 percent, from the people that I speak to -- that Islam is their religion and who have a desire for a caliphate and to institute that in any way possible," Sanchez said on "PoliticKING with Larry King."

"They are not content enough to have their way of looking at the world, they want to put their way on everybody in the world," she said. "And again, I don't know how big that is, and depending on who you talk to, but they are certainly -- they are willing to go to extremes. They are willing to use and they do use terrorism."

Larry King signs off for last time
2010-12-18
[Emirates 24/7] Veteran CNN talk show host Larry King signed off for the last time Thursday after 25 years in the same seat, in an emotional show including tributes from presidents and broadcasting rivals.

The 77-year-old, who will be succeeded by former British journalist Piers Morgan, is finally retiring from "Larry King Live," the show he has presented on the now flagging Atlanta-based news network since 1985.

President Barack B.O. Obama sent him a video message calling him "one of the giants of broadcasting," while a brace of rival TV hosts and anchors including Barbara Walters, Diane Sawyer and Katie Couric paid tribute.

Sawyer said they were his "proteges and groupies," while Couric read out a poem including a reference to a notorious King gaffe when he asked comedian Jerry Seinfeld about his show being cancelled -- it had ended with top ratings.

Caliphornia governor Arnold Schwarzenegger came on to announce that he had proclaimed the day Larry King Day in the western US state.

While critics say his interviewing style can be too soft-soap, others argue that's why King got so many people to come on his show, winning scoops that some credit with helping establish CNN in its early days.

But the network that once dominated 24-hour international news has struggled with dwindling audiences and fierce new competitors, and King's replacement by the more aggressive Morgan is seen as part of an effort to woo new viewers.

Afghanistan
Karzai confirms holding talks with Taliban
2010-10-12
[Dawn] Afghanistan's Caped President Hamid Maybe I'll join the Taliban Karzai confirmed in a US television interview that his administration has been holding unofficial talks with the Taliban "for quite some time" to try to end the nine-year war. "We have been talking to the Taliban as countryman to countryman, talk in that manner," Karzai told CNN's Larry King when asked about a Washington Post report on secret high-level talks between the two sides.
This is actually the right thing to do, so long as it's about the Taliban (or individual Talibs) giving up the war, and not about the government doing the surrendering. Since the government hasn't put the chief Talibs in positions of authority, it seems to me that might be what's going on.
"Not as a regular official contact with the Taliban with a fixed address but rather unofficial personal contacts have been going on for quite some time," he said in excerpts of the CNN interview to air in full Monday.

Last week the Washington Post said the secret talks were believed to involve the Afghan government and representatives authorised by the Quetta Shura, the Afghan Taliban group based in Pakistain, and Taliban leader Mullah Omar.
Quite possibly the UAVs are following the cell phone signals from those conversations, too...
The Karzai interview is being aired a day after Afghanistan's former president Burhanuddin Rabbani was elected chairman of a new peace council, a Karzai brainchild set up to broker an end to the war with the Taliban. "Now that the peace council has come into existence, these talks will go on and will go on officially and more rigorously I hope," Karzai told King.

The Taliban, which have been fighting an increasingly violent insurgency, have said publicly they will not enter into dialogue with the government until all 152,000 US-led foreign troops based in the country leave.
The Iraqi 'insurgents' said the same thing. How'd that work for them?
In a statement last Thursday marking the start of the war in 2001, the Taliban claimed to control 75 per cent of Afghanistan and said its "jihad" remained as strong as ever.
I assume the Arab definitions of 75% and control are meant (Don't look up, guys, something may have followed you home.)
Karzai said there had been "no official contacts" with any Taliban entity. "That hasn't happened yet and we hope we can begin that as soon as possible," he said. "But contacts of course have been there between various elements of the Afghan government at the level of community and also at a political level."

The High Peace Council is intended to open a dialogue with the Taliban Islamic fascisti who have been trying to bring down his government since the US-led invasion overthrew their hardline Islamist regime in October 2001. The 68-member council, hand-picked by Karzai, was set up following a nationwide conference in June and was inaugurated on October 7.

But Karzai said he would not reach out to groups such as al Qaeda or other "terrorist networks".

"Whether they are against Afghanistan or whether they are al Qaeda and the terrorist war against the United States or our neighbours in Pakistain, those of course cannot be accepted."

Karzai also dismissed claims in a new US book about his mental health. "Oh definitely not. Rather funny," Karzai said when asked by King about the allegations in legendary news hound Bob Woodward's book "Obama's Wars" which says US intelligence suspects Karzai has received treatment for manic depression.

"He's on his meds, he's off his meds," the US ambassador to Afghanistan, Karl Eikenberry, is quoted as saying.
What in God's name was the man thinking? One never says things that undermine an ally, or first one's allies become ineffective, and then one suddenly has no allies. But this administration does such stupid things all the time. Britain, France, Germany, Israel, Venezuela, Honduras... President Karzai is in good company, at least.
But Karzai said the strongest medication he had taken was an antibiotic to stave off a bad cold, along with vitamins and headache pills.

US President Barack B.O. Obama's administration has had a shaky relationship with Karzai, publicly challenging him last year over allegations of corruption and vote-rigging.
Idiot. If you're going to manipulate the election, at least be successful.
The public criticism has stung Karzai, who has raised eyebrows in Western capitals by accusing foreigners of rigging the election that returned him to power last year.

Karzai said Afghanistan enjoyed a "strategic relationship" with the United States, which is planning to draw down its troop numbers in 2011. "Relations with the president Obama are very good. We have regular contact."

But he said Afghan people fear they would be "abandoned" by the United States.

"Something that I have not been able to reassure the Afghan people and I hope the United States of America and our other allies will help us through good means so we can reassure the Afghan people that this partnership is staying and that Afghanistan will emerge out of this current transition into a better country, a better economy and a more stronger, effective state."
