Hardeep Singh Nijjar Was A Killer, Not A Religious Head, Say Sources In Indian Intel |
2023-09-24 |
[OneIndia] Khalistani separatist Hardeep Singh Nijjar, whose killing led to a row between India and Canada, was not a religious and social figure but a terrorist who was involved in running terrorist training camps and funding terror acts, sources have said. Nijjar was a close associate of Gurdeep Singh alias Deepa Heranwala, who was involved in the killing of around 200 people in Punjab 1.) Little Orphan Annie's bodyguard 2.) A province of Pakistain ruled by one of the Sharif brothers 3.) A province of India. It is majority (60 percent) Sikh and Hindoo (37 percent), which means it has relatively few Moslem riots.... during the late 1980s and early 1990s. Heranwala belonged to the banned Khalistan Commando Force. Nijjar, who was killed by person or persons unknown on June 18 at a parking lot of a Sikh gurdwara in British Columbia, had escaped to Canada in 1996 fearing arrest by police here, and indulged in illegal activities like drug smuggling and extortion in Canada to arrange funding for terrorist activities, sources said. Nijjar was also involved in training youths at a terror camp in British Columbia to carry out attacks in India, they said. Over the years, Nijjar assumed the role of 'Operation Chief' of Khalistan Tiger Force, or KTF, a banned terror group. In 2020, he was accused by the government of being actively involved in "operationalizing, networking, training and financing" KTF members. In 2012, Nijjar visited Pakistain and came in touch with Jagtar Singh Tara, chief of Babbar Khalsa International, another banned terror group. Tara supplied him with arms and trained him in assembling IEDs in 2012 and 2013. He sent US-based Harjot Singh Birring to Canada to train Nijjar in operating a hand-held GPS device. Nijjar also sent 1 million Pak rupees to Tara, sources said. In 2014, Nijjar planned a terror attack on Dera Sacha Sauda headquarters in Sirsa in Haryana in the direction of Tara. However, Switzerland makes more than cheese... the attack could not take place because Nijjar was denied an Indian visa, they said. Nijjar allegedly muscled his way into the post of president of the local gurdwara in Surrey, Canada in 2021, forcibly deposing his cousin, Raghbir Singh Nijjar, the incumbent, with threats of violence. The National Investigation Agency has registered several cases against Nijjar as well as issuing an Interpol Red Corner Notice for raising a module in Canada involving Khalistani separatist Mandeep Singh Dhaliwal. Nijjar was also the head of the Canada chapter of Sikhs For Justice, another banned terrorist organization. He had also organized Nijjar had also given a call to ban Indian Embassy officials from participating in various programs organized by local gurdwaras in Canada. India and Canada are embroiled in a diplomatic row over the killing of Khalistani Nijjar in June. The row erupted following Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau ![]() 's allegations of a "potential" involvement of Indian agents in his killing. India on Tuesday rejected the allegations as "absurd" and "motivated" and expelled a senior Canadian diplomat in a tit-for-tat move to Ottawa's expulsion of an Indian official over the case. In reflection of the hardening of its position, India on Wednesday advised all its nationals living in Canada and those contemplating traveling there to exercise "utmost caution" given growing anti-India activities and "politically-condoned" hate crimes as well as "criminal violence" in that country. India on Thursday announced temporarily suspending the issuance of visas to Canadian citizens given the "security threats" faced by its high commission and consulates in Canada. Khalistani Leader Gurpatwant Singh Pannun Reportedly Untraceable Since 48 Hours |
2023-06-24 |
From a few days ago. [OneIndia] If media and Twitter speculation is to be believed, Gurpatwant Singh Pannun, the founder of pro-Khalistan outfit Sikhs for Justice (SFJ) is reportedly untraceable since 48 hours. It’s been 96 hours now, and nothing more in One India’s pages. The development comes a day after designated terrorist Hardeep Singh Nijjar, who headed pro-Khalistan outfits Khalistan Tiger Force and the Canadian arm of SFJ, was rubbed out by unknown attackers at a parking lot of a gurdwara in Surrey, Canada, on Monday. It must be noted that in just over a month, three Khalistani separatists including Khalistan Tiger Force chief Hardeep Singh Nijjar, who were wanted in India have died. In May, news emerged regarding the killing of Paramjit Singh Panjwar, a 63-year-old Khalistani terrorist based in Pakistain. WHO IS GURPATWANT SINGH PANNUN? Pannun, a lawyer based in New York, USA, reportedly hails from Khankot, a village in Punjab's Amritsar district. According to The Caravan, Pannun established Sikhs for Justice in 2007 while residing in the United States. Pannun has been actively involved in lobbying for the cause of Khalistan and has been organising events and rallies in different parts of the world, including the United States, Canada, and the United Kingdom. He is spearheading a campaign 'Referendum 2020'. He has issued an appeal to Punjab 1.) Little Orphan Annie's bodyguard 2.) A province of Pakistain ruled by one of the Sharif brothers 3.) A province of India. It is majority (60 percent) Sikh and Hindoo (37 percent), which means it has relatively few Moslem riots.... based gangsters and youth to fight for the cause of independent state of Khalistan. He has demanded a separate Sikh state on the pattern of Catalonia, Spain. He also travelled to Spain for studying the referendum on self-determination that held in Catalonia, Spain in 2017. Pannun has also been involved in filing lawsuits against Indian officials and institutions in international courts, alleging human rights ...not to be confused with individual rights, mind you... violations against Sikhs. In 2020, Pannun was declared a designated terrorist by Government of India and his agricultural land was attached under Section 51A of Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act. Pannun is currently facing 22 criminal cases, including three of sedition, in Punjab, India. In October 2022, Interpol rejected India's second request to issue a Red Corner Notice on terror charges against Gurpatwant Singh Pannun, citing not enough information. Sikhs For Justice (SFJ), a separatist organization, has been banned in India due to its activities that aim to foster animosity among various groups and incite Khalistan sentiment within the Sikh community. However, alcohol has never solved anybody's problems. But then, neither has milk... the founder of SFJ, Gurpatwant Singh Pannun, has not faced any consequences thus far. CRACKDOWN ON KHALISTAN MOVEMENT In a concerted effort to curb separatist sentiment, India has taken strict measures against organizations and individuals involved in activities aimed at fueling division in various countries. On September 23, India issued an advisory urging Indian nationals and students residing in Canada to maintain a state of vigilance due to the rising incidents of crimes and anti-India activities within the country. In response to the resurgence of militancy in Punjab, Indian diplomats have engaged in discussions with various foreign governments, such as the United Kingdom, Canada, and Australia. The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) has taken proactive steps in addressing this issue, reflecting their heightened focus on the matter. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has also expressed his concerns regarding this during his recent visit to Australia, emphasising the need for collective action in countering the threat. From One India News on the 19th: Canada-based Khalistan Tiger Force (KTF) chief Hardeep Singh Nijjar was shot by two unidentified assailants and he died on the spot.He was seen in protests in front of the Consulate General of India, Vancouver in the last few years. He also had links with Avtar Singh Khanda, a Khalistani leader of the Khalistan Liberation Force (KLF), who died in a hospital in the UK, last week. Lahore shooting claims life of Sikh community member |
2023-05-07 |
What’s the point of being a member of the Master Religion if you can’t take potshots at local dhimmis when the mood takes you? The alternative being that it was just a sociopath shooting random people on the street for no reason whatsoever, of some sort of gang or mafia thing. Or maybe even related to yesterday’s assassination of the head of one of the Khalistan groups... Hopefully one of these days the answer will be revealed. [Dawn] A person belonging to the Sikh community was killed by unknown assailants in a drive-by shooting in Lahore’s Nawab Town neighbourhood on Saturday, police said. The man, identified as Paramjit Singh Panjwar, 50, was shot by button men riding a cycle of violence. When the attack happened, he was on a morning walk at around 6:30am, accompanied by his bodyguard near his residence in the Sunflower Housing Society, police said. Just out for a pleasant morning stroll, with an ineffective bodyguard. Nothing to see here. Mr Panjwar received a fatal gunshot to the head, a police official said. The bodyguard was also maimed in the attack and shifted to a local hospital, where his condition was said to be critical. The assailants expeditiously departed at a goodly pace after the attack. An official said police rushed to the site and cordoned off the area to collect evidence. The police also issued a high alert to intensify patrolling and snap-checking to round up the suspects. No group immediately grabbed credit for the attack. The police official said it would be premature to say anything about the motive behind Mr Panjwar’s killing and teams were working on all possible leads. He refused to comment on reports that one of the shooters was also injured in the crossfire. Mr Panjwar’s body was shifted to the city morgue for an appointment with Dr. Quincy and police experts were trying to get access to CCTV footage of the scene of the crime to get more details about the suspects. |

ISI, Khalistan forces will try taking advantage of instability in Punjab |
2021-10-02 |
[OneIndia] Pakistan is known to use to its advantage any instability in India. Be it protests or political issues, the ISI has known to engineer trouble and take advantage. In Punjab, the situation is volatile courtesy the political circus following the ouster of Captain Amarinder Singh and later on the resignation of. Navjot Singh Sidhu. It is a well known fact that the ISI has been trying to bolster the Khalistan movement in Punjab. While the Khalistan movement has not been re-kindled the way the ISI would have wanted, the fact remains that the activities of these groups have only been on the rise off late. The stability in the politics of Punjab has been one reason why the democratic set up could not be shaken in the state. In this backdrop, senior Congress leader Kapil Sibal said what does it mean when this is happening in a border state to the Congress party. It is an advantage for the ISI in Pakistan. We know the history and the rise of extremism in the state. We know that the forces across the border exploit the situation to create unrest. It is these forces that are a threat to our country Sibal also said. Zulfikar Bhutto had once said that Pakistan will also have a Bangladesh carved out of India, but it would be on the Pakistan border. This was a reference that he made to Khalistan. The ongoing farmer protests have gained support from the global Khalistan movement. Thousands of protesters gathered outside the Indian High Commission in the United Kingdom and displayed Khalistan flags. Paramjeet Pannun, closely associated with the ISI funded Sikhs For Justice and members of the Sikh Federation, UK, which is associated with the Khalistan movement were part of the protests. The ISI has for the past two decades made attempts to revive the Khalistan movement in India. Intelligence reports amidst the farmer protests also indicated that Pakistan based Khalistan groups are being pushed by their handlers to exploit the farmers' agitation in a bid to revive militancy in the state. Since the early part of this decade, Pakistan has been funding the SJF launched Referendum 2020 movement. In 2018 a module was busted in Punjab. It was found that this group was promoting Referendum 2020 and had planned on mass targeting. They even had their eyes set on an IPL game in Mohali. Senior officials tell OneIndia that while the Khalistan movement has not gained the traction that Pakistan would have desired, the issue however continues to persist. The ISI will continue to fund the movement and will look for fragile situations and make use of it. In the past few months several outfits such as the Babbar Khalsa, Khalistan Liberation Force, Khalistan Zindabad Force, ISYF and Khalistan Commando Force have come under the scanner. A meeting at the Nankana Sahib in Pakistan between these elements and the ISI also came under the scanner. |
