Two French intelligence agencies did not share Lebanon and 'burned' their own agents |
2025-07-15 |
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited. by Leonid Tsukanov Lebanon, a country traditionally considered a French zone of influence, is at odds with two of the Fifth Republic's intelligence services: the Directorate General of External Security (DGSE) and the Directorate of Military Intelligence (DRM). ![]() In June, the DRM significantly increased its presence and activity in Lebanon, which did not please the DGSE resident. A fight for territory broke out between the services using less than ethical methods. And a couple of weeks later, the scandal, which had been hushed up, received an unexpected continuation: the “French connection” suddenly led Beirut to Syrian illegals who, for some reason, were receiving funding from France. Struggle for influence Despite the fact that DGSE and DRM are formally assigned to the same department (the French Ministry of Defence), there is an unspoken rivalry between them, which is also due to self-perception. The DGSE traces its history back to the second half of the 19th century and considers itself one of the "pillars" of French security. While military intelligence, on the contrary, is relatively young and was only made an independent agency in 1992. This is where the “proprietorial” trait inherent to DGSE operatives comes from – they consider the territory of Lebanon “theirs” and do not tolerate the appearance of “outsiders” there. Even if they are compatriots and colleagues in the shop. This is what happened in June, when the DRM headquarters, without properly informing foreign intelligence, sent a group of special forces from the capital's garrison to Beirut "to strengthen the military attaché's apparatus." The military intelligence officers who arrived in Lebanon were tasked with collecting information about the situation in the country, the real positions of Hezbollah, the activity of Iranian agents of influence, and the pace of disarmament of the Lebanese Shiite militias. For some time, the DGSE residency turned a blind eye to the work of the guests from Paris. However, they quickly began to behave in Lebanon in a more homely manner, holding meetings with representatives of local political and military movements, thereby taking on the functions of foreign intelligence. Moreover, the leadership of the "seconded" began to double-check even the information and reports that came from Lebanon through the DGSE, which caused indignation among the latter. Foreign intelligence accused the military apparatus of "threatening" French interests in the Middle East. And a little later, the two special services also had a falling out over the local agents. The DRM complained that the Beirut residency was “disrupting meetings” with local residents and activists, and was accusing military intelligence of “intercepting foreign informants.” In response, the DGSE representatives stated that the “military attaché’s office” was engaged in political intelligence for some reason and was looking for new connections in local parties, but was not working with the military at all. The "Lebanon incident" is interesting because it quickly took a dangerous turn - the intelligence officers abandoned their ethics and began to threaten each other with "exposing" overzealous operatives. This was fraught with political consequences for Paris if they came to the attention of official Beirut and Hezbollah functionaries. The conflict had to be resolved at the headquarters level, with the involvement of the heads of the special services - Nicolas Lerner (DGSE) and Jacques Langlade de Mongro (DRM). The head of the defense department, Sebastien Lecornu, acted as the "arbitrator". In the end, the situation was resolved in favor of the DGSE. The DRM command gave in and agreed to "slow down" when working in Lebanon. An additional DGSE employee was also assigned to the military attaché's office in the country, which was supposed to emphasize the "détente" between the intelligence services. A major role in the settlement was played by the authority of Lerner, who, although considered one of the youngest heads of foreign intelligence in the history of France, has great influence on the course of the Elysee Palace and enjoys the favor of Lecornu and other ministers. In addition, his opponent de Mongro quickly realized that conflict with the foreign intelligence residency in Lebanon was not advisable from the point of view of Paris's long-term interests. If the spearhead of the DGSE's work is "aimed" at the Middle East, then for military intelligence this region remains in the background. De Mongro's subordinates are much more interested in Ukraine, due to insufficient attention to which the general's predecessor lost his shoulder straps. Apparently, the chief of military intelligence was unable to explain why the DRM is dispersing its efforts on the Middle East instead of working "on a priority basis". Despite the fact that the aftertaste remained, the bosses preferred to hush up the scandal before it became public knowledge and required the personal intervention of the French president. For both bosses, this would have meant big problems at work. The French connection Although the conflict between the two French intelligence services was quickly resolved, it did not go unnoticed by the Lebanese elite. And the reason is the excessive diligence of the DGSE operatives. Wanting to sting their opponents, they “leaked” to the Lebanese press a column criticizing the activities of French military intelligence in the country. The planted journalist was outraged by the “abundance of foreign soldiers” in Lebanon (and especially in Beirut), wondering whether this was a sign of preparations for “something big.” And although the most seedy local newspaper was specifically chosen for the critical campaign, the passages from it coincided with the fears of the masses and quickly spread across Lebanese social networks. In response to the unrest, official Beirut decided to carry out several counterintelligence and police actions - emphatically public ones, to show that the situation is under control and that no one will allow a "spy rampage". The raids took place in the camps for Syrian refugees of Anfe, Bishmezin and Amyoun, which had previously been visited by French military intelligence officers. Moreover, they did so quite officially, with inspections that were carried out within the framework of a joint program of “strengthening the borders” and with the permission of the country’s president, Joseph Aoun. More than a hundred people who were in Lebanon illegally were arrested. Some of those arrested later admitted that they had been in contact with DRM operatives but had not received any instructions from them. And although most of those detained turned out to be simple illegals, there were some dubious elements among them. In particular, at least three people from Syria were caught “preparing destabilizing actions” on Lebanese territory and admitted to receiving foreign funding and “instructions from Israel.” The latter is probably a standard formulation chosen by Lebanese security forces to further expose Tel Aviv, which is increasing its military activity in the south of the country. More importantly, the potential saboteurs (whose names the Lebanese security forces are not disclosing) were sponsored by companies registered in France. This only strengthened Beirut's suspicions that Paris was planning to use the recruited refugees for its own interests. And it used military intelligence for these purposes. Results of the conflict At first glance, the DGSE residency was not affected by the new round of conflict. Including because after the fall of the Bashar al-Assad regime in Syria in December 2024, it has not been very active in working with Syrian refugees, fearing to spoil relations with the new Damascus and complicate the work of agents. The military intelligence became the scapegoat, which in exchange for containing the scandal had to reduce the number of officers assigned to the military attaché's office. In exchange for this, official Beirut agreed not to make the story public, shifting the focus to Israel. On the other hand, foreign intelligence was also unable to emerge from the water completely dry. The shell companies used to pay the salaries of potential agents of influence had previously figured in spy scandals in Mali and Burkina Faso and had links to people from the DGSE. This suggests that Paris was aware of the planned action and took part in it, although it used its resources in a very limited format. If the two agencies had not started fighting for territory, this action might have gone unnoticed. Now Beirut has to figure out what goals the Syrians sent to the country were pursuing and who they were supposed to cooperate with after arriving in Lebanon. This means that French foreign intelligence will also have to slow down in Lebanon for a while. At least until the scandal dies down. |

Special Forces raid on 'narco tanker' that could expose the Irish gangsters behind the largest drug smuggling cartel in the world
2025-07-14 | |||
[Daily Mail, where America gets its news] An undercover operation by American agents that successfully infiltrated a global drugs trafficking ring run by the Kinahan cartel has been revealed for the first time - days after eight gangsters who were caught in a Special Forces raid on a 'narco-tanker' in the Irish Sea were jailed. In a dramatic operation akin to something from a movie, operatives from the US Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) penetrated the gang's vast international network. The high-stakes mission, revealed for the first time in newly unsealed federal court records, exposed how the bloodthirsty group was expanding its empire globally in a bid to rival the likes of Mexico's fearsome Sinaloa Cartel. Gangsters from the Irish narcotic empire - which has links to mainland Britain - are accused of trafficking methamphetamine and fentanyl precursor chemicals worldwide. The discovery by the DEA will undoubtedly worry drugs barons within the group, with the authority's investigation now exposing the cartel's move towards smuggling synthetic drugs - a shift from its traditional cocaine trafficking operation. News of the dramatic operation by American agents comes after eight men from the Kinahan cartel were jailed earlier this month for their part in trying to smuggle 2.2 tonnes of cocaine, worth £132million ($178million) into the country. The vast haul was found after special forces soldiers from the Irish Army Range Wing fast-roped from a helicopter onto the Panamanian cargo ship, MV Matthew, in September 2023. The bust was hailed the biggest-ever cocaine seizure in Irish waters and exposed how the Kinahans were linked to the Iran-backed terror group, Hezbollah.
Founded in the late 1990s in Dublin, the narcotics ring is led by 'Dapper Don' Christy Kinahan, a former street dealer-turned-international cocaine trafficker. The cartel is notorious for its brutal tactics, having been accused of a number of gangland hits against rivals. Now based in Dubai, Kinahan and his sons Daniel and Christopher Jr are the subjects of international sanctions, with a $5million bounty from the US authorities hanging over their heads. Now, new details have emerged revealing how DEA agents had infiltrated the Kinahans more than a year before the mega drugs bust in September 2023. The operation began in the Turkish city of Ankara, in June 2022, when the authority's office there recruited a confidential informant, codenamed 'Queen', to penetrate the gang's trafficking operation, reports The Times. The insider gained the trust of Opinder Singh Sian, a Canadian national accused of holding a top position in the network, who was arrested in Nevada last month.
Under the guidance of DEA handlers, Queen introduced Sian to an undercover agent posing as a relative, who claimed to have the ability to shift vast quantities of drugs via the Port of Long Beach, one of America's busiest container ports. According to US documents, the three met in March 2023 at a restaurant in Manhattan Beach, California, to set up a new trafficking deal smuggling methamphetamine to Australia, where prices can exceed $200,000 per kilo. Over the summer of 2023, Sian worked with a team of undercover agents to set up a staged shipment of meth via a safehouse in Pomona, east of Los Angeles. DEA agents then staged a fake handover, seizing the real drugs for analysis before replacing them with decoy packages. Meanwhile, when the ship arrived in Australia, police there used a GPS-tracked container to trace the trail to a suspected drugs den in Sydney. Court documents also show how Sian had used encrypted apps such as Threema to communicate with Queen and other suspected traffickers. And further investigation uncovered plans by the Kinahans to allegedly smuggle fentanyl precursor chemicals from China into the United States via Canada, with Queen reportedly meeting two Canadian collaborators of Sian who were aiding the narcotics expansion. The extensive undercover operation provides fresh insight into how the Kinahans have linked up with other key figures in the criminal underworld to try and gain a foothold in the international drugs trade, shifting drugs through global ports. It's unclear whether this undercover operation provided intelligence which ultimately led to the huge bust on the drugs container ship in September 2023. As previously reported, the gang's plans were dealt a major blow when its £132million haul of cocaine was seized by the Irish authorities. An elite strike force from the Irish Defence Force roped in from helicopters in gale-force winds while the container ship's crew desperately attempted to evade them. Dramatic footage of the raid showed how Irish troops were in 'hot pursuit' of the criminals, which included warning shots fired by the Naval Service before army rangers stormed the ship. The Panama-flagged MV Matthew entered Irish territorial waters on September 23, 2023, having set off from Curacao, an island off the coast of Venezuela. But unbeknown to the crew, suspicions about its activities had been relayed to An Garda Siochana - Ireland's national police organisation -which ordered teams from its drugs and organised crime bureau to monitor the ship. As part of the mission, the FV Castlemore fishing trawler, which had been purchased by two men with funding from an organised crime group, was also tracked. The two men on the FV Castlemore were communicating with criminal cells in Dubai and beyond about the MV Matthew 'mothership'. The trawler engaged in a number of failed attempts to receive clandestine transfers of the cocaine from the MV Matthew. During what would be its final attempt, the Irish Coast Guard engaged with the vessel to warn it of dangerous conditions and inquire about its lack of movement. The FV Castlemore later put out a distress call to the Coast Guard after running aground on a sandbank off the Wexford coast. The crew were rescued by Coast Guard helicopter and taken to the naval vessel, the LE WB Yeats - essentially inadvertently handing themselves in for arrest. When the mothership became aware of the distress call, a change of plan was ordered. Voice messages from an individual in Dubai, identified as 'Captain Noah' and who gardai believe remains in the Middle East, show the crew on the MV Matthew were instructed to load all cocaine into a lifeboat for a rendezvous with a different vessel - which would not occur due to the interception by Irish authorities. The MV Matthew repeatedly ignored instructions from Revenue and the Naval Service's LE WB Yeats. Text messages and voice notes show panicked communications within the criminal network, including the incorrect belief that the ship would not be boarded if it headed further into international waters. While trying to evade the naval service, the LE WB Yeats entered a 'hot pursuit' and - acting as a warship - fired warning shots in the vicinity of the MV Matthew. The captain of the MV Matthew communicated that it was a commercial vessel and was not in jurisdiction covered by the Irish navy: 'Irish warship, please do not fire at us.' He added: 'Can you advise if you are in hot pursuit of us?'

IDF seizes 3 tons of arms from ex-Assad regime sites; violence flares in southern Syria: 30 toes up, HTS vows to intervene |
2025-07-14 |
[IsraelTimes] Troops locate explosives, rockets at ‘key’ commando bases in operation aimed at keeping arms from being smuggled to Lebanon; deadly clashes break out in Druze area Israeli troops found more than three tons of weapons while raiding military facilities inside Syria. The sites had been maintained by the deposed Bashir Pencilneckal-Assad Trampler of Homs... regime, the Israel Defense Forces said Sunday. In the raids, which took place over the past week, reservists of the 810th Mountain Regional Brigade located at the peak of Mount Hermon, inside Syria, searched several "key headquarters" formerly belonging to the Assad regime’s commando forces, the IDF said. The weapons found by troops included anti-tank mines, bombs, and rockets. The IDF said its operations in the area were intended to prevent weapon smuggling into Leb ![]() from Syria. Israeli troops have carried out a number of raids inside Syria in recent weeks, mostly targeting alleged members of Iran-sponsored cells stationed near the Golan frontier. The military has also carried out ... KABOOM!... s aimed at keeping Syrian weapons from falling into the hands of the Islamists who ousted Assad late last year. The raids were announced as deadly sectarian violence flared in Druze areas of the Syrian side of the Golan, which Israel has previously acted to protect from Islamists. Clashes broke out between Bedouin tribes and local fighters in the predominantly Druze city of Sweida on Sunday, with the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights reporting 18 killed in the fighting, including 14 Druze and four Bedouin. Local outlet Sweida 24 gave a preliminary toll of 10 people killed and 50 maimed across both sides. The outlet also reported the closure of the Damascus-Sweida highway due to the violence. The government sent forces to de-escalate the situation. Sweida Governor Mustapha al-Bakur called on his constituents to "exercise self-restraint and respond to national calls for reform." Several Syrian Druze spiritual leaders have also called for calm and asked Damascus to intervene. In April and May, festivities between the new government’s security forces and Druze fighters killed dozens of people, with local leaders and religious figures signing agreements to contain the escalation and better integrate Druze fighters into the new government. During those festivities, Israel carried out a dronezap on an gang preparing to attack a Druze community near Damascus, and Defense Minister Israel Katz told troops to be prepared to act in Syria in defense of the Druze. Katz and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said in a message to Syria at the time that Israel "expects it to act to prevent harm to the Druze." Following the December overthrow of Assad, Syria’s longtime ruler, Israel sent troops into the United Nations ...a formerly good idea gone bad... -patrolled buffer zone that separated opposing forces on the strategic Golan Heights, from which it had conducted forays into southern Syria. Troops have been operating in areas up to around 15 kilometers (9.3 miles) into Syria, aiming to capture weapons that Israel says could pose a threat to the country if they fall into the hands of "hostile forces." Immediately after Assad’s ouster, Israel also carried out hundreds of airstrikes in Syria to prevent key military assets from coming under the control of the administration headed by Sharaa. Officials from Syria and Israel have held discussions over that military presence in recent weeks, and, in June, a senior Israeli official said the sides were in "advanced talks" to end hostilities, even as Jerusalem has taken a cautious approach toward the country’s new Islamist leadership. The two countries have formally been in a state of war since Israel’s establishment in 1948, and last fought a major conflict in the 1973 Yom Kippur War. A meeting this past weekend in Azerbaijan between Syrian and Israeli officials was reportedly to focus on the IDF presence in Syria. Sharaa, who was in Baku, the capital, to discuss energy cooperation with Azerbaijani leaders, did not attend the meeting with the Israelis. In addition, on Sunday, the Syrian Interior Ministry announced that it had arrested a Hezbollah operative who was planning terrorist attacks. Hezbollah, the Lebanese terror group that is sworn to Israel’s destruction, was a chief ally of Assad’s regime. The ministry named the operative as Mahmoud Fadl, saying he was in possession of ready-to-use explosives that he intended to deploy for terrorist attacks in the area. According to the statement, Fadl belonged to a Hezbollah cell that was active in Syria. Damascus vows to intervene as at least 30 killed in armed clashes in Druze city of Sweida [IsraelTimes] At least 30 people have been killed and 100 injured in a preliminary count in armed clashes between local military groups and tribes in Syria’s predominantly Druze city of Sweida, Syria’s interior ministry says. The ministry says that its forces will directly intervene to resolve the conflict and halt the clashes. |

Barrack says ''Bilad Al Sham'' remarks not a ''threat to Lebanon'' — Naharnet |
2025-07-14 |
[NAHARNET] U.S. envoy Tom Barrack has clarified his remarks about the possibility that Leb ...an Iranian satrapy until recently ruled by Hassan Nasrallah situated on the eastern Mediterranean, conveniently adjacent to Israel... might be swallowed by Syria, after they sparked outrage in Lebanon. ''My comments yesterday praised Syria's impressive strides, not a threat to Lebanon. I observed the reality that Syria is moving at light speed to seize the historic opportunity presented by @POTUS's (U.S. President Donald Trump ...Perhaps no man has ever had as much fun being president of the US... ''I can assure that Syria's leaders only want co-existence and mutual prosperity with Lebanon, and the United States is committed to supporting that relationship between two equal and sovereign neighbors enjoying peace and prosperity,'' Barrack added. He had warned in an interview with the UAE's The National newspaper that Lebanon risks being swallowed by regional powers unless it acts to address Hezbollah's arms and implement reforms. ''You have Israel on one side, you have Iran ...a theocratic Shiite state divided among the Medes, the Persians, and the (Arab) Elamites. Several IDF troops hurt in Gaza fighting as Palestinians reported killed at aid site [IsraelTimes] Army reports the injured soldiers were moderately and lightly wounded in separate incidents; says unaware of any casualties near Gaza Humanitarian Foundation distribution hubs The military announced that two soldiers were moderately hurt on Saturday in separate incidents during fighting in Gazoo ...Hellhole adjunct to Israel and Egypt's Sinai Peninsula, inhabited by Gazooks. The place was acquired in the wake of the 1967 War and then presented to Paleostinian control in 2006 by Ariel Sharon, who had entered his dotage. It is currently ruled with a rusty iron fist by Hamas with about the living conditions you'd expect. It periodically attacks the Hated Zionist Entity whenever Iran needs a ruckus created or the hard boyz get bored, getting thumped by the IDF in return. The ruling turbans then wave the bloody shirt and holler loudly about oppressionand disproportionate response... , as fresh deaths were reported among Paleostinians at an aid distribution site. One of the soldiers was hurt in the northern part of the coastal enclave, while the other was hurt in the southern part. In the latter incident, two other soldiers were lightly injured. All four were taken to hospitals, and their families were notified. The injuries came as the Israel Defense Forces said Saturday that over 250 terror targets in Gaza were hit in ... KABOOM!... s since Thursday. A fresh wave of airstrikes Saturday evening hit over 35 targets in northern Gaza’s Beit Hanoun, the military said. The IDF said the targets included operatives, booby-trapped buildings, weapon depots, anti-tank launch posts, sniper posts, tunnels, and other terror infrastructure. At least 143 Paleostinians were killed in Gaza since Wednesday, according to statistics published by the Hamas ![]() -run health ministry on Friday night. The strikes came as five IDF divisions, made up of tens of thousands of troops, continued to operate across Gaza. In a statement on the Beit Hanoun strikes, which could be seen from across the border in Israel, the military said dozens of Israeli Air Force fighter jets hit some 35 Hamas targets in the area. The targets included Hamas tunnels in the area, the IDF said. Earlier, the military said troops of the 98th Division located Hamas and Paleostinian Islamic Jihad ...created after many members of the Egyptian Moslem Brotherhood decided the organization was becoming too moderate. Operations were conducted out of Egypt until 1981 when the group was exiled after the assassination of President Anwar Sadat. In 1989 they moved to Damascus, where they remain a subsidiary of Hezbollah... observation posts and caches of bombs in Gaza City’s Shejaiya and Zeitoun neighborhoods. Numerous operatives were killed elsewhere by the troops, including by calling in airstrikes, the IDF added. MORE DEATHS REPORTED AT AID SITES Paleostinian reports, meanwhile, said that aid seekers were rubbed out and injured Saturday around the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation facility in northwest Rafah, with the News Agency that Dare Not be Named quoting hospital officials and witnesses as saying that at least 24 people were killed. Hamas has been getting busy with their guns, as they do every day that the people they own dare to get help from a group that doesn’t let them skim off the top, the bottom, and both sides.. The IDF pushed back on the Paleostinian reports, saying the military was unaware of any casualties from troops’ gunfire near GHF distribution sites on Saturday.A military official did say that several suspects were spotted approaching forces in Rafah on Saturday, hundreds of meters from the aid site, and that "troops acted to prevent the suspects from approaching and fired warning shots. No injuries from the gunfire are known." The IDF, in its statement, said it "continues to operate in order to enable the distribution of humanitarian aid ![]() The statement added that the IDF is continuing to investigate the claims of injuries on Saturday near the aid site. GHF, an Israeli-backed US organization that seeks to circumvent Hamas in the distribution of aid, has faced harsh criticism from the UN and other aid organizations, which charge that it fails to meet the needs of Gaza’s population. Gazooks have reported near-daily incidents in which groups trying to reach GHF facilities are shot at by Israeli forces, leading to mass casualties. Israel, which accuses Hamas of hoarding aid, has also accused the terror group of attacking Gazook aid seekers near GHF sites and falsifying corpse counts. However, you can observe a lot just by watching... Israel has also acknowledged that "several" Paleostinian civilians have been killed near GHF aid distribution sites. GHF commenced operations in May as Israel lifted a nearly three-month aid blockade on Gaza, amid a renewed offensive there that seeks to take over 75% of the Strip. On Friday, the United Nations ...where theory meets practice and practice loses... said nearly 800 people have died trying to access aid in Gaza since late May, with most killed near the GHF’s distribution sites. Numbers supplied by Hamas are vary from exaggerated to greatly exaggerated, coupled with flat-out lies. GHF, which denies that deadly incidents have occurred at its sites, told Rooters the UN figures were "false and misleading."The IDF said Friday that it had issued instructions to troops in the field "following lessons learned" after reports of deadly incidents at GHF distribution facilities. SWIMMING RESTRICTIONS The IDF on Saturday also reiterated a restriction on Paleostinians, in place since the beginning of the war, forbidding them from entering the sea along the entire coast of the Gaza Strip. The IDF’s Arabic-language spokesperson, Col. Avichay Adraee, reminded residents in a post on X that "security restrictions have been imposed in the maritime area adjacent to the Strip, and entry into the sea is prohibited." He added, "The IDF will respond to any violation of these restrictions. We urge fishermen, swimmers, and divers to refrain from entering the sea. Entering the sea along the Strip exposes you to danger." Nevertheless, the IDF has not enforced the restriction against Paleostinians seeking to cool off in the waters on the beach, but only those heading out deeper into the sea. The vast majority of the Paleostinian population in Gaza is concentrated in areas on the coast, with tent camps set up on the beaches. California: The State of Sleeper Cells |
2025-07-13 |
[Townhall] In recent days, a chilling warning came from one of America’s top counterterrorism experts: Iranian sleeper cells may already be embedded inside the United States—hiding in plain sight, waiting to strike. With tensions climbing after the president’s strike on Iran’s nuclear capabilities, that warning has taken on new urgency. The threat isn’t hypothetical. It’s now a likely reality. And while most states are coordinating with federal law enforcement, tightening security, and staying alert, Caliphornia, an impregnable bastion of the Democratic Party, has done the unthinkable: It’s opted out. California is the only state in the Union that has withdrawn entirely from the FBI’s Joint Terrorism Task Force—the primary engine for federal, state, and local cooperation in detecting and disrupting terrorism. And they did it proudly, in the name of "civil liberties." Let’s be blunt: the FBI’s JTTFs have disrupted plots targeting New York, Boston, and cities across the country. They are essential to homeland security. Pulling out of that network—especially now—is the domestic equivalent of turning off radar at Pearl Harbor. Add to that the fact that California is also a sanctuary state, where local officials are barred from cooperating with ICE or federal immigration authorities. That means someone could cross the border illegally, find refuge in Los Angeles or the Socialist paradise of San Francisco ![]() , and never be flagged—no matter how suspicious they may be. Now layer in this: In the last several months, over 700 Iranian nationals—designated as "special interest aliens"—have crossed our southern border illegally. They’re subject to enhanced vetting for good reason: Iran ...a theocratic Shiite state divided among the Medes, the Persians, and the (Arab) Elamites. Formerly a fairly civilized nation ruled by a Shah, it became a victim of Islamic revolution in 1979. The nation is today noted for spontaneouslytaking over other countries' embassies, maintaining whorehouses run by clergymen, involvement in international drug trafficking, and financing sock puppet militiasto extend the regime's influence. The word Iranis a cognate form of Aryan.The abbreviation IRGCis the same idea as Stürmabteilung (or SA).The term Supreme Guideis a the modern version form of either Duceor Führeror maybe both. They hate has publicly stated that it may activate foreign agents in response to U.S. military action. These are not idle threats. These are strategic assets being put in place. Let’s remember San Bernardino. In 2015, two radicalized individuals opened fire in a California office building, killing 14 and wounding 22 more. They were American residents. They were radicalized online. And they executed their attack without ever triggering alarm bells—because back then, the systems weren’t integrated enough. Now, California has gone even further backward. It has intentionally severed those alarm systems. And here’s the national threat: If a terrorist cell can establish itself in California—where oversight is limited and federal cooperation is absent—then they are only one plane ride away from New York, Washington, D.C., Atlanta, reliably Democrat Chicago, aka The Windy City or Mobtown ...home of Al Capone, the Chicago Black Sox, a succession of Daleys, Barak Obama, and Rahm Emmanuel... , or any other high-value target in the country. California’s refusal to act responsibly doesn’t just endanger Californians. It endangers all of us. By withdrawing from the Joint Terrorism Task Force, California has handed those blind spots to America’s enemies on a silver platter. Supporters of the move will argue it’s about protecting civil rights. But the Constitution was never meant to be a suicide pact. Security and liberty are not opposites—they’re partners. And without security, liberty becomes a memory. Iran has already activated its cyber units. It has already coordinated with proxies like Hezbollah to threaten U.S. and Israeli interests worldwide. Tehran doesn't need to smuggle operatives in via shipping containers—they walk across our border, disappear into sanctuary cities, and remain in the dark, thanks to California’s political theater. We are not just at risk. We are exposed. UNIFIL patrol fires tear gas after clash with Aytit residents |
2025-07-11 |
[NAHARNET] A patrol from the United Nations ...the Oyster Bay money pit... Interim Force in Leb ![]() (UNIFIL) on Thursday attempted to enter the southern town of Aytit, but was met with resistance from a group of local youths, the state-run National News Agency reported. According to NNA, the patrol fired tear gas in the direction of the protesters before retreating from the area. UNIFIL spokesperson Andrea Tenenti said ''this morning, several individuals in civilian clothes blocked UNIFIL peacekeepers on a planned patrol near Wadi Jilu'' and that ''the activity had been previously coordinated with the Lebanese Armed Forces, in support of Lebanon's implementation of Resolution 1701.'' ''While the situation was initially calm, the individuals soon began throwing stones at the peacekeepers, who were forced to disperse the crowd with smoke to protect themselves from harm,'' Tenenti added, noting that ''the LAF arrived at the scene and the situation was brought under control.'' ''As the Lebanese government and army have made clear, peacekeepers can move independently in south Lebanon in performance of their duties to restore security and stability under Resolution 1701. They do not need to be accompanied by Lebanese soldiers,'' Tenenti said. Warning that ''any attack on peacekeepers is a serious violation of international law and Resolution 1701,'' the front man said UNIFIL has requested that the Lebanese authorities bring the perpetrators to justice. ''We will continue impartially monitoring and reporting on violations of 1701, as mandated by the Security Council and requested by the Lebanese government,'' Tenenti vowed. Hezbollah supporters in Lebanon frequently accuse the U.N. mission — which was created to oversee the withdrawal of Israeli troops from southern Lebanon after Israel's 1978 invasion -- of collusion with Israel. Israel meanwhile accuses the peacekeepers of turning a blind eye to Hezbollah's military activities in southern Lebanon. |
