IDF: Hezbollah working to rebuild Beirut arms production site in breach of ceasefire |
2025-04-10 |
[IsraelTimes] Terror group has allegedly returned equipment to facility — located under residential buildings, next to a school — that Israel bombed in November, as US urges group’s disarmament The Israel Defense Forces said Wednesday that the Hezbollah terror group is attempting to rebuild a weapons manufacturing site in Beirut’s southern suburbs and trying to conceal its activity from a US-led mechanism monitoring the ceasefire, of which this would be a violation. In a post on X, the IDF’s Arabic-language front man, Col. Avichay Adraee, said the weapons site, located under residential buildings and next to a school, was bombed by Israel in November 2024. Adraee said that after the IDF sent the truce mechanism information on Hezbollah’s attempts to rebuild the site in early January, a surprise inspection was carried out. "However, facts are stubborn; statistics are more pliable... aerial photographs show that Hezbollah, which had been informed in advance of the date of the inspection, had evacuated the engineering equipment that had been operating at the site on the day the inspection was conducted, and then returned it after it had ended," he said. He added that the Hezbollah activity at the site is a "blatant violation of the understandings between Israel and Leb ![]() under the ceasefire agreement." The area south of Beirut, known as Dahiyeh, in which the alleged manufacturing facility is located, has long been a Hezbollah stronghold. The IDF frequently hit targets there during the recent war, including in the massive strike that killed Hezbollah leader Hasan Nasrallah in September 2024. Adraee’s post about the facility came amid calls to disarm the group, whose overland and air conduits for weapons were largely shut down due to Israeli attacks, the fall of Bashir Pencilneckal-Assad Horror of Homs... in Syria and crackdowns on smuggling by the Lebanese government. According to a Tuesday report in the Saudi al-Hadath news outlet, citing a Western official, the Iran-backed terror group has shifted to using a sea-based route for smuggling, beginning to reassert control over Beirut’s seaport for that purpose. A US envoy in Lebanon last weekend repeated Washington’s position that Hezbollah and other gangs should be disarmed as soon as possible, and that the Lebanese army is expected to do the job. A Rooters report on Tuesday, citing Lebanese political officials, said that US-backed President Joseph Aoun intends to open talks with Hezbollah over its arsenal soon. The report also quoted an unnamed senior Hezbollah official, who said the group was ready to discuss its arms in the context of a national defense strategy, but that this hinged on Israel pulling out its troops from the five hilltops in southern Lebanon where the IDF maintains a presence. Ihab Hamadeh, a Lebanese MP for Hezbollah, rejected that report on Wednesday, telling Qatar ...an emirate on the east coast of the Arabian Peninsula. Hezbollah, Amal Message in Lebanon: Here We Are! |
2025-01-13 |
[ENGLISH.ALMANAR.COM.LB] Shortly after late Hezbollah Secretary General Sayyed Hasan Nasrallah was martyred on September 27 during the Last brutal Israeli aggression on Lebanon, some local parties in Lebanon — who are known for their foreign affiliations — rushed to talk about the so-called ''Lebanon post-Hezbollah''. Back then, late Hezbollah Media Relations Officer Hajj Mohammad Afif, who was later martyred in an Israeli strike on Beirut last November, said his well-known remarks addressing such malicious ambitions: ''Too early!''. Whoever watched the 13th parliamentary session aimed at electing a new Lebanese president following a two-year vacuum on Thursday, knows very well what martyr Hajj Afif meant with such words. As things got clearer, with Lebanese Army Commander General Joseph Aoun emerging as the front runner for the presidency, Hezbollah and its strong ally Amal Movement were keen to deliver a clear message. Lawmakers of the nationalist duo (nearly 30 MPs) voted blank ballots in the first round of Thursday's session, forcing a second round of the vote. LEBANON PARLIAMENT BALLOT COUNT Lebanese Speaker Nabih Berri, the Leader of Amal Movement, adjourned the session for more discussions, and set a timing for the second round. A break of two hours between the two rounds witnessed a meeting between General Aoun, Head of Hezbollah's Loyalty to Resistance parliamentary bloc Hajj Mohammad Raad and Amal MP Ali Hasan Khalil. Local reports indicated that during the meeting General Aoun offered some guarantees to the nationalist duo regarding implications of the ceasefire agreement with the Israeli enemy in areas south of the Litani River, plans for reconstruction and government restructuring. The Parliament then convened for the second round, that led to the election of General Aoun who obtained 99 votes after Hezbollah and Amal lawmakers voted in his favor. Despite claims of alleged ''weakened Hezbollah sway'' in the national decisions, the scene on Thursday has indicated that the Lebanese resistance party, along with Amal Movement, remain the major players and decision makers. |

In a televised speech via al-Manar, Sheikh Qassem noted that Hezbollah had expected an Israeli attack on Leb ...an Iranian satrapy until recently ruled by Hassan Nasrallah situated on the eastern Mediterranean, conveniently adjacent to Israel. Formerly inhabited by hardy Phoenecian traders, its official language is now Arabic, with the usual unpleasant side effects. The Lebs have the curious habit of periodically murdering their heads of state or prime ministers... , though the timing was unknown. He emphasized that the aggression, which began before Operation al-Aqsa Flood and continued afterward, was unrelated to Gaza's support. The Israeli attack, he explained, was part of their expansionist agenda, aiming to eliminate any resistance that stands in the way of their regional ambitions. ''During this war, the Israeli occupation forces claimed the lives of key Hezbollah leaders, including the late martyr Sayyed ![]() your/his lordship. However, the man who has no enemies isn't anybody and has never done anything... despite these operations, the enemy failed to achieve its objectives, instead resorting to barbaric attacks on civilians, villages, homes, and innocent children and women,'' Sheikh Naim explained. Sheikh Qassem emphasized that the Israeli enemy's crimes were aimed at breaking the resistance, but despite immense sacrifices, they failed. ''Israeli crimes are not achievements; Hezbollah's resistance successfully thwarted the enemy's efforts to destroy and crush it,'' he asserted. He highlighted that the enemy had repeatedly stated its intent to eliminate Hezbollah, but the resistance fighters halted their advances. ''Hezbollah's missiles struck deep into Israeli territory, inflicting significant damage and displacing nearly 200,000 settlers. The resistance killed hundreds of Israeli soldiers, maimed many more, and caused extensive economic and social damage across the occupied territories,'' his eminence explained. Sheikh Qassem praised the resilience of the people who made tremendous sacrifices to protect the resistance, referring to them as ''brave heroes'' who viewed resistance as their sole and vital option in this struggle. ''Thank God, we achieved a true divine victory in this confrontation. The Israeli enemy recognized that its path to defeating Hezbollah's resistance is blocked, prompting it to seek a ceasefire agreement.'' |

'Father Figure': Mainstream Media Eulogize Hezbollah Butcher Nasrallah, Who Slaughtered Innocents Across the Globe | |
2024-09-29 | |
[WFB ht Insty] "austere religious scholar" Following Hassan Nasrallah's death at the hands of an Israeli airstrike, mainstream media outlets portrayed the now-former Hezbollah leader as an erudite "father figure," a "moral compass," a "savior," and a "roly-poly figure" who "empowered" Lebanon's "downtrodden." The vast majority failed to mention that he was brutal terrorist leader who killed scores of Americans, Israelis, and innocent civilians across the Middle East. Nasrallah rose to the top of the terror organization in February 1992. A month later, Hezbollah operatives killed 29 people in a suicide bombing attack on the Israeli embassy in Buenos Aires. The terror group's subsequent 1994 attack on the AMIA Jewish community center in Buenos Aires killed 85. In 1983, one year after Nasrallah helped found Hezbollah, the terror organization murdered 32 Lebanese, 17 Americans, and 14 visitors in its bombing of the U.S. embassy in Beirut. The attack's planners became commanders under Nasrallah, who died a rich man, carrying a net worth of $250 million thanks mostly to illicit drug smuggling. Most of those details were left out of lengthy obituaries published in the Washington Post, New York Times, and Associated Press. The Post lauded Nasrallah's "folksy yet articulate manner" and described the terrorist as a "savior" among his followers. The Times billed Nasrallah as a "charismatic religious and political leader and military strategist who had dedicated his life to ’resistance,’ or the fight against Israel." The AP lamented the Jewish state's dangerous "escalation" in killing Nasrallah and called him a "charismatic and shrewd strategist." The Washington Free Beacon compiled a roundup of passages from the three obituaries: Hasan Nasrallah, Hezbollah leader and force in Middle East, is killed (Washington Post)
