[Dawn] The Punjab 1.) Little Orphan Annie's bodyguard 2.) A province of Pakistain ruled by one of the Sharif brothers 3.) A province of India. It is majority (60 percent) Sikh and Hindoo (37 percent), which means it has relatively few Moslem riots.... Counter-Terrorism Department’s team in Mianwali’s Kalabagh came under attack by a group of armed Lions of Islam belonging to the outlawed Tehrik-e-Taliban ...the Pashtun equivalent of men... Pakistan (TTP) on Thursday night, the CTD said. According to a statement issued by the CTD on Friday, the Lions of Islam and security officials exchanged fire for 20 minutes during which a terrorist was killed. "The slain murderous Moslem was an important TTP commander identified as Habibur Rehman," it said, revealing that a Kalashnikov, suicide jacket and TTP stickers were recovered from the terrorist’s possession. The statement said that two Death Eaters managed to escape during the exchange of fire and a grand search operation has been launched to arrest them. "A case against the attack has been registered at the CTD cop shoppe in Sargodha," the statement added. There were no reports of any injuries to CTD personnel during the attack. Thursday’s attack is significant in that Death Eaters — who had so far targeted cop shoppes and checkposts in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Balochistan ...the Pak province bordering Kandahar and Uruzgun provinces in Afghanistan and Sistan Baluchistan in Iran. Its native Baloch propulation is being displaced by Pashtuns and Punjabis and they aren't happy about it... and areas bordering Afghanistan — have set their sights in Punjab. Earlier this month, a cop shoppe in Mianwali had also come under a gun attack by a group of TTP terrorists. Fortunately, no injuries to the police personnel were reported. After the attack, the Punjab police had launched a grand counterterrorism operation in the highly complex and inaccessible hilly areas of the district. HAND GRENADE HURLED AT PESHAWAR COP SHOPPE Meanwhile, ...back at the revival hall, the SWAT team had finally arrived... unidentified attackers hurled a hand grenade at Beautiful Downtown Peshawar ![]() ’s Chamkani cop shoppe between 3am and 4am on Friday morning, the police said. Peshawar Rural Superintendent of Police (SP) Zafar Ahmed told Dawn.com that the attackers were on cycle of violences. "The coppers were alert and they retaliated in full fire after which the men fled." He said that some cycle of violences parked inside the cop shoppe suffered damage. However, some people are alive only because it's illegal to kill them... no loss of life or injuries were reported. "Peshawar police is more alert than before to fail terrorists’ wicked plans and face them," SP Ahmed added. He further said that additional police convoys have been called and a search operation is under way in nearby areas. Last week, the CTD claimed to have killed a suspected terrorist allegedly belonging to the TTP in an encounter and arrested 11 other members of banned outfits from different cities during intelligence-based operations (IBOs) across Punjab. January was the deadliest month since 2018, in which 134 people bit the dust — a 139 per cent spike — and 254 received injuries in at least 44 murderous Moslem attacks across the country. |

Terror's road map to south India: Infiltrate, migrate, aggravate |
2022-07-28 |
[OneIndia] These terror groups come into the southern states, mingle with the migrant population including the Rohingya Moslems, and then overstay with a larger agenda A highly radicalised person associated with a terror group was arrested by the Bengaluru police on Sunday night. The arrest of Akthar Hussain Lashkar, a resident of Assam, led to the arrest of his associate Zubair from Salem in Tamil Nadu. The police said that Hussain who was working as a food delivery executive was using his job to understand the topography of the city. He was also in the process of setting up meetings to plan attacks in Karnataka. Now that the Tamil Nadu angle has come up, the police will work closely with the central agencies as there are inter-state ramifications to this case. The arrest comes just a month after the arrest of Talib Hussain a member of the Hizbul Mujahideen ... Party of Holy Warriors, founded by Muhammad Ahsan Dar in September 1989. One of the Pak sock puppets waging jihad in Indian Kashmir. It was originally organized as the armed wing of Jamaat-e-Islami. In 1990, Dar declared Hizbul as the sword arm of Jamaat. Hizbul murdered many of the pro-independence intelligentsia in Kashmir. After the organization was taken over by Syed Salahuddin Dar and several other ex-Hizb leaders were assassinated between 2001 and 2003... in Bengaluru. He was arrested from the Okhalipuram area and the police said that he had fled Jammu and Kashmir ![]() Azad (Free) Kashmir. The remainder they refer to as "Indian Occupied Kashmir". They have fought four wars with India over it, the score currently 4-0 in New Delhi's favor. After 72 years of this nonsense, India cut the Gordian knot in 2019, removing the area's special status, breaking off Ladakh as a separate state, and allowing people from other areas to settle (or in the case of the Pandits, to resettle) there.... with his wife and children after the hunt for him had intensified. Hussain had taken shelter in a mosque in the city and would deliver sermons during the Friday prayers. In 2019 when the National Investigation Agency (NIA) probed a case relating to the Jamaat-ul-Mujahideen, Bangladesh (JMB) it had found that Bengaluru had become a happy hunting ground for these terrorists. Links between the operatives of Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and Kerala were not uncommon and a pattern was found. Operatives would come in from the north- eastern states after infiltrating from Bangladesh. They would often land up at a migrant camp in Kerala and then enter into states like Tamil Nadu and Karnataka. In 2019 following the arrest of JMB terrorist Habibur Rehman, the NIA learnt that he had traveled from Bengal before going to Bengaluru, Kerala and Chennai. Rehman came to Bengaluru in 2015 and took up a job as a contractor. Prior to his arrest he ha moved to the outskirts of the city to avoid arrest. Looking at the modus operandi and the investigation files, it has become clear that these persons had a common way of operating. They would come into the southern states, mingle with the migrant population including the Rohingya Moslems and then overstay in the southern states with a larger agenda of carrying out terror attacks. In August 2019, one Ejaz Ahmed alias Taufique Raza, the emir of the Jamaat-ul-Mujahideen, Bangladesh was arrested. His team had persons outside Bengal and even set up modules in Bihar, Karnataka and Kerala. He had mainly targeted migrant labour in these places and roped several of them into the module, officials, part of the investigation, also said. A statistic of 2013 showed that there were around 2.5 million migrant workers in Kerala. Most persons were eager to take in the On 16 March 2017, the Kerala police arrested seven Bangladeshi nationals employed at a plywood factory and charged them with illegal immigration. This is just one of the many cases that was reported from Kerala over the years where several lakhs of Bangladeshis live illegally. It becomes important to discuss the Kerala scenario in the wake of an Intelligence Bureau report stating that there would be more influx of illegal im Officials tell OneIndia that the route into south India would be through Kerala, following which attempts would be made to infiltrate into the other southern states such as Telangana, Tamil Nadu and Karnataka. They would be brought in as estate labour like has been done in the past, officials say. Data with the Ministry for Home Affairs states that Kerala has issued nearly 62,000 registration cards to migrant workers. Moreover no real effort has gone in to sort out the illegal im |

From terror, mingling with migrants to fake currency: How JMB made South India its playground |
2019-09-27 |
[OneIndia] The arrest of Jahidul Islam alias Kausar has given the National Investigation to several clues as to how the Jamat-ul-Mujahideen had been operating in South India. Islam is an accused both in the Burdwan and Bodhgaya blasts and he was arrested after nearly a five year chase. He along with his accomplice, Habibur Rehman were hiding in Karnataka at the time of their arrest. Prior to this they have moved around several places in South India, which included Tamil Nadu, where they even tested rocket shells. Interestingly these were not the only arrests that were made in connection with the same module and case. It may be recalled that in January 19, 2018, two more persons Abdul Karim and Mustafizur Rehman were arrested from the labour camp of Bengali speaking persons in Mallapuram in Kerala. Both were also of Bengal origin and were wanted in connection with the Bodhgaya case. Intelligence Bureau officials tell OneIndia that this is not for the first time that turbans have come down South to hide. There have been several such instances reported in Kerala and Hyderabad as well. They tend to mix with the migrant population including the Rohingyas and continue to stay on in states such as Telangana, Kerala and Karnataka. In Mallapuram, the members of the JMB were staying at a camp for a long time which was set up for Bengali speaking people. Even in Karnataka, their activities go unchecked as they tend to mingle with those who have migrated in search of work. There is also a concern with regard to the Rohingyas who have moved to various parts of the country in large numbers, including Karnataka. These turbans often use such persons as a shield and use such states as a safe haven. The Bengal-Bengaluru connection is not restricted to terror alone. There has been a dedicated route between these two states which has been busted by the NIA which probing a case relating to fake currency. The NIA's Hyderabad wing had in March 2018 arrested Saddam Hussain, a resident of Bengaluru who was found in possession of fake currency to the tune of Rs 26,000. The NIA team also recovered two demonetised currency notes of the value Rs 1,000. The accused was allegedly circulating fake currency in various parts of his country after obtaining it from his contacts in Mada, West Bengal. During investigation it was revealed that accused Saddam had travelled to Malda from Bangaluru on the instructions of Amirul Hoque and collected High Quality FICN from Roustam on four occasions. |

Army chief approves death sentence of another 10 militants |
2016-11-24 |
![]() ..Pak chief of army staff, meaning he pulls the strings on the Nawaz Sharif puppet to make it dance and sing and not do much at all.... on Tuesday approved death penalties awarded by military courts to 10 more snuffies of the Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistain (TTP) and Lashkar-e-Islam ...a group of Islamic bandidos infesting Khyber Agency. It's headed by a former bus driver.... (LI) who were involved in the killing of security personnel. "Today Chief of Army Staff confirmed death sentences awarded to another 10 hardcore terrorists, who were involved in heinous offences related to terrorism," the Inter-Services Public Relations said. This will possibly be the last batch of faceless myrmidons whose death sentences have been approved by Gen Sharif before his retirement next Tuesday. The military courts were set up through the 21st Amendment to the Constitution in January 2015, after the tragic Army Public School incident, for a period of two years for speedy trial of terrorism cases. The special courts have so far decided over 200 cases in which 136 people have been given death sentences. Ninety-six others have been awarded life imprisonment. Only 12 convicts have been executed so far, according to figures available with Dawn. Military courts would cease to function in January after the expiry of their constitutionally mandated term. Neither the total number of cases referred to military courts by provincial governments nor that of remaining cases is publicly known. It isn’t clear if a mechanism has been devised to deal with cases that will remain pending after the completion of the constitutional term of the courts. The government is still undecided about the future of leftover cases from courts established under the Protection of Pakistain Act (PoPA), 2014, another anti-terrorist legislation, which lapsed earlier this year after completing its two-year period. The faceless myrmidons whose death penalties have been approved by the army chief include Hanifa s/o Umar Zareen (TTP) for kidnapping and slaughtering of Captain Jonaid Khan, Captain Najam Riaz Raja, Naik Shahid Rasool and Lance Naik Shakeel Ahmed during operation in Swat ...a valley and an administrative district in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Province of Pakistain, located 99 mi from Islamabad. It is inhabited mostly by Pashto speakers. The place has gone steadily downhill since the days when Babe Ruth was the Sultan of Swat... in 2009. Tirah Gul s/o Khan and Mohammad Wali s/o Faulad Khan (LI) were found to be involved in the killing of Havildar Noor Mast, Naik Farman Ali, Naik Shabbir Akhtar, Sepoy Humayun, Sepoy Fakhar Alam, Sepoy Ismail and injuries to many other soldiers during an attack on a camp of the Frontier Constabulary in Jhansi Bara tehsil of Khyber Agency ... the place to go if you've got an Indiana Jones hat and whip. Chock full of high adventure and treacherous Pathans. You should really train up to it, though... in 2010. Zahid Khan s/o Kitab Shah had earlier been given death sentence in the same case. Others who have been given capital punishment are Khaista Mohammad s/o Abdul Jalil (TTP) for attacks on army personnel and destruction of girls’ schools and phone company tower; Ali Rehman s/o Habibur Rehman, Fazal Ali s/o Fazal Wahid and Mohammad Ali s/o Abdul Rehman (TTP); Nisar Ali s/o Damsaz Khan (TTP); Khial Jan s/o Sayel Jan (LI); and Payo Jan s/o Asal Jan (LI). |
