Antisemitic London mosque is a 'place of peace,' Jeremy Corbyn claims |
2023-09-06 |
[Jpost] Former Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn praised Finsbury Park Mosque on X as a "place of peace, hope and solidarity" only a few days after the Jewish Chronicle exposed the tax-funded mosque as having hosted a number of antisemitic imams and other Moslem officials. On September 2, Corbyn published on X: "Finsbury Park Mosque offers a place of peace, hope and solidarity to so many people in our community. We will not be divided by those in our media who seek to sow hatred and fear. It is love for our neighbours, whatever their faith, that unites us all." The Mosque, which is based in north London, has received almost £300,000 (NIS 1,433,145.60 or $377,549.70 USD) from Islington Council between 2017 and 2022, according to the JC. In one of several incidences at the mosque, they hosted an Egyptia holy man who pledged to "liberate" al-Aqsa mosque in Jerusalem from the "filth of the Jews." Additionally, the mosque’s general secretary Mohammed Kozbar praised Hamas, always the voice of sweet reason, founder Sheikh Ahmed Yassin as a "the master of the deaders of resistance, the mujahid [holy warrior] sheikh, the teacher" during his trip to Gazoo ...Hellhole adjunct to Israel and Egypt's Sinai Peninsula, inhabited by Gazooks. The place was acquired in the wake of the 1967 War and then presented to Paleostinian control in 2006 by Ariel Sharon, who had entered his dotage. It is currently ruled with an iron fist by Hamaswith about the living conditions you'd expect. It periodically attacks the Hated Zionist Entity whenever Iran needs a ruckus created or the hard boyz get bored, getting thumped by the IDF in return. The ruling turbans then wave the bloody shirt and holler loudly about oppressionand disproportionate response... in 2015. While Hamas is registered as a terrorist organization by the United Kingdom, at this point in time it was only the military wing of the organization that was categorized as such. Gary Mond, chairman of the UK's National Jewish Assembly told the Jerusalem Post that "Hate speech being promoted by places of religious worship, whether taxpayer funded or not, is utterly unacceptable in our society and should be prosecuted with the full force of the law." "It serves ultimately as a cause of violence, especially against Jews in this country. Hate crimes against Jews constitute about 25% of all such incidents although Jews comprise barely 0.5% of the UK population." "Those who indulge in hate speech belong in prison, and institutions that facilitate it should be closed. The fact that public funds appear to support mosques which host hate speakers begs questions. It is not just how this happened, but how deep the problem really is, and needs full investigation." TAX-FUNDED EXTREMISM IN THE UNITED KINGDOM The expose made by the JC brought to light a number of tax-funded mosques that hosted krazed killer speakers. Birmingham mosque, which received the largest government stipend of £2.2 million, hosted a speaker who has described Jews as "people of envy" who "killed the prophets and the messengers." The controversial speaker also has a viral video in which he states that adulterous women should be stoned to death. In Lewisham Islamic Centre, which received £540,000 from the British government, chief imam Shakeel Begg reportedly once called on young Moslems to "go to Paleostine and fight the Zionists." Recently, growing concern has developed around krazed killer funding in the UK, as the Jerusalem Post reported in July. The UK Foreign, Commonwealth, and Development Office refused to disclose how it ensures its funding for the Paleostinian Authority does not fund the PA's 'Pay for Slay' program which incentivizes terrorism. We Believe in Israel and B’nai B’rith UK are maintaining a legal course of action to gain said information. UK: Gang of 16 knife wielders single-out white victims in Londonistan
2019-10-02 | ||
The six victims, reportedly the ’biggest athletes’ from the sports academy, were walking home through the park last Monday at around 8:00 pm when they discovered they were being pursued by a group of 16 males, the Islington Gazette reports. "They were being tailed by one of them on a bike. Then there were 16 of them. They circled them and picked one off to the side and said: ’Give me your phone or I will stab you ‐ put in your Apple Pay password," Adrian Klemens, a coach of the Dynamic Sports Academy recalled. "Out of our group three were white and three were black and they said to the black guys: ’You’re good,’ and just attacked the white guys," Klemens continued.
Thanks to his athleticism and his nerve, the victim grabbed his phone and made a mad dash out of the situation. The two other white victims in the group ‐ aged 17 and 22 ‐ weren’t so lucky and had their phones stolen.

North London Mosque opens to visitors |
2018-02-19 |
[AA.TR]![]() During the six-hour event, visitors were given a tour of the mosque, spoke to worshippers, enjoyed a free meal, and took part in a question-and-answer session with the mosque committee and its management. Attendees included Moslem Council of Britannia head Harun Khan, local Labour MP Emily Thornberry, and the leader of the Labour Party, Jeremy Corbyn. "This year’s Visit My Mosque Day, held this Sunday 18 February, comes at a particularly sensitive time, being the first one since the attack last year. For the mosque this is an important opportunity to build upon the spirit of local solidarity and show that Finsbury Park Mosque is more than just a mosque," said Mohammed Kozbar, Finsbury’s chairman. The Islamic center was the scene of a terrorist attack last year when Darren Osbourne drove a van into a nearby crowd of worshippers, killing one and injuring many. Speaking to Anadolu Agency, Corbyn described today’s event as an "excellent open day at the mosque," adding: "I have been supporting and have been involved in this mosque for more than 30 years. I saw it being built and I have held advice bureaus here, and so having the open day bringing in the entire community of all faiths is great. |

Finsbury Park Mosque says it was 'unaware' trustee is senior member of Hamas |
2017-11-09 |
[INDEPENDENT.CO.UK] Finsbury Park Mosque says it was unaware that one of its trustees has been appointed to Hamas, the well-beloved offspring of the Moslem Brotherhood,’ political bureau. Representatives of the institution told The Independent it has no relationship with the Islamist Paleostinian political party following a high-profile trip to Russia by representatives including Mohammed Sawalha. Hamas named him alongside senior members in coverage of the visit, dealing a blow to the mosque’s efforts to dispel its former reputation as a hub for al-Qaeda supporters and bad boy preachers including Abu Hamza. Mr Sawalha, who is one of Finsbury Park Mosque’s six trustees, was identified as part of Hamas' political bureau in coverage of the "fruitful" visit to Moscow. He was among senior members of the organization to meet Vladimir Putin ![]() ’s Middle East envoy Mikhail Bogdanov. Hamas released photos of the three-hour meeting in September, where it said delegates discussed its reconciliation with the Paleostinian Authority and alleged Israeli abuses against Paleostinians in Gazoo, West Bank and East Jerusalem. |

Abu Hamza's son takes over hate sermons |
2013-03-20 |
THE son of Abu Hamza has given hate sermons at a British mosque just like his hook-handed father. Uthman Mustafa Kamal backed holy war and an al-Qaida terrorist who attempted to murder troops in Afghanistan. He is the second youngest son of radical preacher Hamza, who was jailed for seven years in 2006 for inciting murder at Finsbury Park Mosque, north London. Abu Hamza, 54, was finally deported to the US last year to face terror charges after an eight year legal wrangle. Kamal has built up his own following at the An-Noor Mosque in Acton, west London, with videos showing him praying for holy warriors. He calls on followers to help "destroy their enemies" and "fight in the cause of Allah" on the mosque's YouTube channel. The audio clip is teamed with footage of fanatics training in Iraq, Kosovo, Palestine, Lebanon, Bosnia and Algeria. He is also shown at a protest outside the US Embassy praying for Dr Aafia Siddiqui, 41, jailed for 86 years after shooting at US security forces in Afghanistan. In the video Kamal yells: "Oh, God, unbind Aafia's chains of imprisonment," adding: "Plot on her behalf, dignify her, safeguard her and her children." She was named as an associate by the alleged mastermind of the 9/11 attacks, Khalid Sheikh Mohammed, 49. Tory MP Patrick Mercer, 56, said: "If Mr Kamal is outside the law, he needs to be dealt with swiftly and effectively." But he won't, will he? An-Noor Mosque head Farouq Malik insisted the centre was not linked to extremism. Kamal would not comment at the Hamza west London home yesterday. |

Sling your hook! Hate preacher Abu Hamza extraditing to US |
2012-09-24 |
![]() The ruling brings an end to a legal saga which has lasted eight years and cost the UK taxpayer more than £1million. Hamza, whose vile sermons outside the Finsbury Park Mosque earned him global notoriety, is wanted by the U.S. authorities for plotting to set up a jihadi training camp in Oregon. Hamza and four other alleged terrorists had complained that jail terms of up to 50 years in the U.S without parole breached their human right to be protected from 'inhuman or degrading treatment'. In April, the European Court of Human Rights - after two years of hugely expensive deliberation - rejected this argument. But the men were allowed to make a final plea for the grand chamber of the Strasbourg court to re-open the case. Tonight, judges also threw out this bid. There are now no more legal steps the men can take in Europe to halt extradition. Whitehall officials said he would be put on a plane to America 'as soon as possible'. Al-Fawwaz, allegedly a close associate of Osama bin Laden, was arrested in connection with bomb attacks on two U.S embassies in east Africa which killed more than 260 people in 1998. He was jailed for seven years in February 2006 for preaching hate and inciting murder at Finsbury Park Mosque. |

Extradition of Abu Hamza and four others for terrorism offences can go ahead EU court rules
2012-04-10 | ||
The judges gave a final ruling on six extradition cases in a verdict which effectively passed judgment on whether America's treatment of terrorist suspects amounts to "inhuman or degrading treatment or punishment" in breach of the European human rights code. ![]() The ruling stated that the five, including radical preacher Abu Hamza, would not be subject to "ill-treatment" at ADX Florence, a so-called 'super-max' prison. The court adjourned its decision on Haroon Rashid Aswat pending consideration of further complaints lodged by him. The ruling granted the men the right to appeal to the court's Grand Chamber, meaning any extradition could be some time away.

Hate-preacher Hamza's 'YouTube rant from prison' |
2008-09-24 |
![]() A photograph of the radical cleric is displayed with an announcement that it is by "Sheik Abu Hamza Al Masri from Belmarsh Prison in Britain". During the three-and-a-half minute clip he delivers nine verses of poetry in Arabic. He praises "the spirit of the martyr" and asks for jihad fighters to be given God's mercy. Hamza, 49, is serving seven years for spreading racial hatred and inciting the murder of " nonbelievers". The hook-handed cleric preached at Finsbury Park Mosque and was convicted of 11 of the 15 charges he faced. He was found guilty of having audio and video tapes intended to encourage racial hatred and having a document for terror purposes. Conservative MP Patrick Mercer has called for a Home Secretary Jacqui Smith to investigate the alleged Belmarsh video. He said: "How is it this poisonous man seems able to communicate at will with the outside world from within Britain's most secure prison?" A Prison Service spokesman said: "There is no proof this recording was made by Hamza and no evidence it was made in prison." Neil Doyle, an expert on cyber-terrorism, said: "I have spent hours listening to Hamza recordings. I am 1,000 per cent sure it is him." |

Radical Islamic cleric Abu Hamza has extradition to US postponed
2008-08-05 | |
The British Government has been told to postpone extradition of Abu Hamza until a ruling on whether sending him to a maximum security US jail would breach his human rights. The European Court of Human Rights in Strasbourg gave the order as the 48-year-old's lawyers claimed he would be kept in inhuman conditions.
The Home Secretary Jacqui Smith has already approved Hamza's extradition and last month Hamza was refused leave to appeal to the Law Lords, the highest court in England and Wales. A Home Office spokesperson said: "The decision is a matter for the European Court. We shall seek to have his case expedited so it is heard as soon as possible." Hamza is currently serving seven years in Britain for soliciting murder and stirring up racial hatred. The former imam at London's Finsbury Park Mosque is accused in the United States of trying to set up an al-Qaeda training camp in Oregon. He faces 11 charges in total, including sending cash and recruits to al-Qaeda and the Taliban and one relating to the kidnap of 16 tourists in the Yemen in 1998. Four hostages, including three Britons, died in a rescue attempt.

UK court: Radical cleric can't appeal extradition to US |
2008-07-24 |
![]() The High Court ruled last month that al-Masri should be sent to the US, where an 11-count indictment accuses him of offenses including supporting al-Qaida and the Taliban. Al-Masri's lawyers can still appeal to the European Court of Human Rights. His attorneys have questioned US assurances that he would not be mistreated or face the death penalty if convicted. US officials allege al-Masri, 51, conspired to establish a training camp in Bly, Oregon, where followers received combat and weapons training for violent jihad in Afghanistan. They also say he assisted extremists who kidnapped 16 foreign tourists in Yemen in 1998. Three British tourists and one Australian visitor were killed in a shootout between Yemeni security forces and the captors. Al-Masri also is accused of facilitating terrorist training in Afghanistan. The former imam at London's Finsbury Park Mosque, al-Masri is one of Britain's best-known Islamist radicals. The Egyptian-born preacher is blind in one eye and has hooks in place of the hands he says he lost fighting Soviet troops in Afghanistan in the 1980s. Under his leadership the Finsbury Park mosque became a magnet for extremists. Its worshipers included Sept. 11 conspirator Zacarias Moussaoui and "shoe bomber" Richard Reid. He was arrested in London on a US extradition warrant in 2004, but the process was put on hold while he stood trial in Britain for inciting racial hatred and encouraging followers to kill non-Muslims. He was convicted in 2006 and is serving a seven-year sentence. |
