AOC condemns Dem leaders for ignoring 'very real' threat of fascism |
2021-10-25 |
[NYPOST] Rep. Alexandria SandyOcasio-Cortez ![]() Green New Deal, though she doesn't talk about it much anymore... on Saturday ripped moderate Democratic leaders who refuse to back far left-leaning party candidates for elected office, insisting they’re ignoring a significant threat of fascism ![]() fasces-- thin reeds, each flimsy in itself but unbreakable when bound into a bundle. Its distinguishing philosophical feature is the Corporate State, which is the alliance of big business and labor with the government in service to the all-powerful State. The word is nowadays thrown around by all sorts of oddballs who have no idea what they're talking about... During a rally in Buffalo, the Queens congresswoman and socialist superstar said such behavior is "embarrassing." "When a nominee wins, I don’t try to undermine the entire political party," Ocasio-Cortez said. "You know why? Because in the grander scheme of things we are facing a very real fascist ...anybody you disagree with, damn them... threat in this country." The congresswoman was in town to back the mayoral bid of fellow socialist India Walton, who won the Democratic primary but is competing on Election Day against four-term incumbent Byron Brown, who is running as a write-in. AOC came to Walton’s defense Tuesday after state Democratic Party Chairman Jay Jacobs argued he shouldn’t have to extend his support to Democratic candidates in every case and then made a controversial comparison between Walton and David Duke, the former Ku Klux Klan leader. |

French court gives Holocaust denier 5 years for death threats against Jews |
2021-06-05 |
[IsraelTimes] A blogger who posted videos of himself calling for the murder of prominent French Jews was sentenced to five years in prison by a court in La Belle France. The sentence, for promoting terrorism and making death threats, is among the harshest in recent years in La Belle France over such offenses. The tribunal of Cusset, a town near Vichy in central La Belle France, handed down its guilty verdict and sentence on Thursday to Ahmed Moualek, 53, who had posted death threats against Gilles William Golnadel and Alain Jakubowitz, two well-known Jewish lawyers, as well as journalist Elisabeth Levy, La Montagne reported. Moualek is a former associate of Dieudonne M’bala M’bala and Alain Soral, Holocaust deniers who 10 years ago founded the now-defunct Anti-Zionist Party. Moualek was among the party’s founders. On the 2019 anniversary of the 2015 murder of four Jews by a jihadist at the Hyper Cacher kosher supermarket in Gay Paree, Moualek posted a video addressed to "the dirty Jews" in which he said, "You know it would have pleased me no end if the Shoah existed but I’m just sorry you weren’t on the train." YouTube removes Louis Farrakhan’s Nation of Islam channel |
2020-10-07 |
[Jpost] YouTube said it removed the channel on Oct. 2, citing its policies against hate speech. Some individual accounts of Nation of Islam members are still up, with tens of thousands of followers. Louis Farrakhan is a longtime, vehement antisemite who has railed against "wicked Jews," praised Adolf Hitler ...late Fuehrer of Germany, founder of the Third Reich, currently communing with his pals Himmler and Heydrich. He is reincarnated every few days as a politician somebody doesn't like... , condemned the "synagogue of Satan," likened Jews to termites and accused them of controlling the U.S. government. He also has a history of homophobia. This past summer, a string of celebrities defended or praised Farrakhan and echoed his anti-Semitic rhetoric. A July 4 speech in which Farrakhan called Jews the "enemy of God" has been viewed more than a million times, according to the Anti-Defamation League. That month the ADL called Farrakhan the "most popular antisemite in America." YouTube has also removed white supremacists from its platform this year, including Richard Spencer and David Duke. Divisive Trump nominee gets new Pentagon post, despite snub by Congress |
2020-08-03 |
[Jpost] Anthony Tata, a retired Army brigadier general who has called former President Barack ObamaThey get bitter, they cling to guns or religion or antipathy to people who aren't like them... a "terrorist leader," will officially perform the duties of the deputy undersecretary of defense for policy, the Pentagon spokeswoman said. After failing to secure a Senate confirmation hearing, ...the Muslim Brotherhood made their objections known... US President Donald Trump...His ancestors didn't own any slaves... 's most divisive ...politicians call things divisivewhen when the other side sez something they don't like. Their own statements are never divisive, they're principled... nominee for a Pentagon position so far has taken a different, less-senior policy role at the Defense Department, a spokeswoman said on Sunday. Anthony Tata, a retired Army brigadier general who has called former President Barack Obama a "terrorist leader," will officially perform the duties of the deputy undersecretary of defense for policy, the Pentagon spokeswoman said. In theory, the position would still offer Tata some degree of influence on hot-button Pentagon policy matters, potentially including Iran. In addition to falsely calling Obama a Moslem and a terrorist, Tata has also called Congresswoman The Ageless and Downright Brilliant Comrade Maxine Impeach 45!Waters ![]() , an African American, a "race-baiting racist," according to now-deleted Twitter posts seen by Rooters. Democratic Congressman Adam Smith, chairman of the House Armed Services Committee, blasted the move to give Tata a senior job just days after the Republican-led Senate abruptly canceled Tata's confirmation hearing. "If an appointee cannot gain the support of the Senate, as is clearly the case with Tata, then the President should not put that person into an identical temporary role," Smith said in a statement. "This evasion of scrutiny makes our government less accountable and prioritizes loyalty over competence." Tata's new job is more junior than the one Trump initially nominated him for - undersecretary of defense for policy. But the White House made clear on Friday that Trump still supported him, even after the Senate declined to take up his nomination. Tata had to overcome two bureaucratic hurdles to secure his new role. First, he withdrew himself from consideration by the Senate for the undersecretary position. He then accepted the more provisional status of simply "performing the duties of" the deputy, as opposed to having the position outright. Smith said the Defense Department was struggling under a record number of vacancies, with top positions filled in provisional capacities, like Tata's deputy role. "If confirmations cannot be completed, the president must find new, qualified people who can win the support of the Senate," Smith said. The Pentagon had said Tata previously served as a senior adviser in Defense Secretary Mark Esper's office, although his exact responsibilities were unclear. Hearing for Trump Pentagon nominee axed over his anti-Islam remarks |
2020-08-01 |
[IsraelTimes] Retired general Anthony Tata, who called Obama a ’terrorist leader’ and referred to the former US president as a Moslem, continues to advise the defense secretary. A Senate committee abruptly canceled a confirmation hearing Thursday on a controversial former general’s nomination to a top Pentagon post after a furor over offensive remarks he made about Islam and other inflammatory comments. The nomination of retired Army Brig. Gen. Anthony Tata to be the Pentagon’s undersecretary for policy was already under fire from Senate Democrats, who sent a letter to him this week calling for him to withdraw. Tata, a staunch supporter of US President Donald Trump ![]() and a Fox News commentator, has been working in the department as a senior adviser. It wasn’t clear Thursday if his nomination would be withdrawn. According to media reports, Tata posted tweets in 2018 calling Islam the "most oppressive I inhaled. That was the point... a "terrorist leader," and referred to him as Moslem. The tweets were later taken down. The Senate Armed Services Committee chair, Republican Senator Jim Inhofe of Oklahoma, announced the hearing’s cancellation shortly before it was scheduled to start. "There are many Democrats and Republicans who didn’t know enough about Anthony Tata to consider him for a very significant position at this time," Inhofe said. He said the panel didn’t get required documents from Tata until Thursday. "As I told the president last night, we’re simply out of time with the August recess coming, so it wouldn’t serve any useful purpose to have a hearing at this point, and he agreed." Jonathan Hoffman, the Pentagon’s chief spokesperson, told news hounds that Tata continues to work as an adviser to Defense Secretary Mark Esper. Islamic groups have repeatedly called for politicians to oppose Tata’s nomination. And they hailed the hearing cancellation. "If Mr. Tata truly does not have enough votes to proceed, his defeat will represent a victory over anti-Moslem bigotry, and for the principle that hatred has no place in our government," said Robert McCaw, government affairs director of the Council on American-Islamic Relations ![]() Tata, who retired in 2009 after 28 years in the Army, served in a number of command and combat jobs. [IsraelTimes] YouTube has seen enough of the French comedian Dieudonné M’bala M’bala. White supremacist Richard Spencer and former Ku Klux Klan leader David Duke, too. Their channels were among more than 25,000 shut down Monday by the online video sharing platform for violating its hate speech rules. Dieudonne’s page, which was full of videos agitating against Jews, had some 400,000 subscribers. In a Facebook post, he blames "Israeli pressures" for the removal. Since the start of the coronavirus (aka COVID19 or Chinese Plague) ![]() pandemic, many of the videos on the channel have agitated against Jews, French Union of Jewish Students President Noémie Madar tells the French media. Dieudonne has been convicted at least seven times in La Belle France for inciting racial hatred against Jews. Israel Equals Jewish ‘Supremacy’: Linda Sarsour Again Stoops To Antisemitism |
2019-12-06 |
[THEFEDERALIST] Former Women’s March leader and current Bernie Sanders![]() campaign surrogate Linda Sarsour attempted to explain controversial comments she made at the 12th Annual Conference for Paleostine, which took place in reliably Democrat Chicago, aka The Windy City or Mobtown ...home of Al Capone, the Chicago Black Sox, a succession of Daleys, Barak Obama, and Rahm Emmanuel... this past weekend. True to her noxious brand, the Paleostinian-American activist compared Jewish self-determination to white supremacy in a full-throated speech that only a hateful artist of her caliber could manage. "Ask them this: How can you be against white supremacy in the United States of America and the idea of living in a supremacist state based on race and class but then you support a state like Israel that is built on supremacy; that is built on the idea that Jews are supreme to everybody else?" Sarsour asked. She elaborated, "How do you then not support the caging of children at the U.S.-Mexican border, but then you support the detainment and the detention of Paleostinian children in Paleostine. How does that work, sisters and brothers?" Sarsour later attempted to clarify her comments, alleging that her critique was directed towards the Israeli government for its recent passage of the Nation State Law, not towards the collective Jewish people. As Jewish Telegraph Agency explains, the relatively new legislation declares "that Jerusalem is Israel’s capital, that national self-determination in the State of Israel is ’unique to the Jewish people,’ and that Hebrew is the state’s language ‐ while Arabic, previously an official language, is now designated as having ’a special status in the state.’" Given Sarsour invoked a common trope used by famous Ku Klux Klanner David Duke, which compares Zionism to white supremacy, Sarsour’s alleged "clarification" does little to quell concerns that she is not simply a raging antisemite. The abject reality of her current explanation is that it fails to comport with her earlier statement. Furthermore, for someone supposedly well-versed in critiques of Israel, the conflation of Jews with the Israeli government should not occur with such discomfiting ease. Yet she used the word "built," suggesting the very foundation of Israel is centered upon Jewish supremacy. Intentional or not, the anti-Zionist mask slipped, and what lies beneath is rather ugly. Volokh: Why the American Establishment Has Lost Credibility |
2018-09-05 |
h/t Instapundit [Reason] The 2016 Republican primaries were one big "f you" to the establishment. We all know that Trump won the nomination, but it's easy to forget that the second-place candidate, Ted Cruz, was also anathema to the establishment. Indeed, one reason Trump won the nomination was because most of the Republican establishment refused to rally around Cruz; he was considered by some worse than Trump, and other were sufficiently hostile to Cruz they thought it was better to lose (as they expected) with Trump than potentially win with Cruz. Of course, Trump went on to win the presidency, even though virtually the entire establishment--and here I mean prominent, powerful or influential individuals from mainstream liberal Democrats to neoconservatives, from the "usual suspects" to conservative Wall Street Journal columnists, lined up against him. Ever since, the establishment has been aghast, and rightly so. Someone with Trump's temperament, history of lies, casual prejudiced statements, and so on, should never have gotten near the presidency. Yet, despite the establishment's warnings of disaster, enough voters were willing to vote for him to make him president. He implements right policies, though - which, IMO, a lot more important than prissy decorum standards: especially considering the caliber of the opposition One could blame the result of the election on Hillary's unpopularity, and yet very few of Trump's voters have since abandoned him. It's the economy stupid - people prefer to work for a living to being welfare recipients A major reason, I think, is that the establishment that once served as a gatekeeper against the likes of Trump has lost its credibility among large portions of the population, and their attacks on Trump are simply discounted or ignored. ...consider how the establishment would react if George W. Bush were seated two seats down from David Duke at Willie Nelson's funeral, with Duke given a place of honor. Now consider that Bill Clinton sat two seats away from an equally odious hatemonger, Louis Farrakhan, at Aretha Franklin's funeral. ...What about the fact that Trump shows little interest in truth, and his supporters are too quick to dismiss expert and scientific opinion, that they try to bend the truth to their political agenda? Nobody who believes in AGW is a scientist no matter how exalted their academic position is. In fact, IMO, the most astonishing thing about science is that - despite the fact that the system is geared to advancing ass kissing rote memorisers, we still get (occasionally) good papers written and published ...a psychology professor at Brown (and you can't get more establishment than the Ivy League) published a peer-reviewed article suggesting that at least some teens who claim transgender identity do so as a matter of social contagion rather than because they were "born that way." After complaints from transgender activists, Brown apologized for issuing a press release touting the study, and the journal that published the study announced it would review it further. ...Finally, there is the matter of John McCain's passing. Deaths of famous individuals are often occasions for charitable assessments of someone's legacy. In McCain's case, however, the praise heaped on him made him out to be someone so far from the actual John McCain that he was virtually unrecognizable. Someone who always treated his political opponents with respect? Not really, but a useful way to implicitly attack Trump. More important, the politically aware recall that McCain was a hero when he took on George W. Bush in 2000, and again when he became an implicit member of the "Resistance" to Trump until his death. But in 2008, when he ran against the establishment's favorite, Barack Obama, the establishment turned on him with a vengeance. Sort of seems like the esteem in which they hold a prominent individual has less to do with his character, and more to do with whether he is serving a useful political purpose at the moment. So attacks on Trump's character, however well-founded, are considered in that light. I should emphasize that I agree that Trump has at times promoted bigotry, is a congenital liar, and engages in demeaning and belittling behavior toward his political opponents. Indeed, I think these things are obvious. But much of the country isn't listening when the traditional gatekeepers point this out, and that is, at least in part, the gatekeepers' own fault. Some of us are, a tad, unhappy with Trump because he's too forgiving toward the venomous bureaucracy and the out and out crazy democratic party https://www.powerlineblog.com/archives/2018/09/the-democrats-are-crazy.php?utm_source=facebook&utm_medium=sw&utm_campaign=sw |

Get It Through Your Head That Progressives Hate You |
2018-08-06 |
[Townhall] Some of you need to cease the denial and accept the harsh reality that the left hates you. It’s a fact, as much as the liberal gaslight gang and the conserva-sissy weakhearts deny it. You can tell that leftists hate you by the way that leftists tell you that they hate you. Take Sarah Jeong, please ‐ hey, the New York Times was happy to get this bitter creep onboard because of her history of virulent racism. The Times saw her hate as a plus, not a negative, an asset, not a liability. You can’t draw any other conclusion ‐ if you take her tweets, trade out the word "white" ‐ man, does she ever hate white people ‐ and toss in some other skin hue you’d have a pink-haired millennial David Duke. And the NYT saw that and said, "Awesome, sign her up!" ...Progressives think that it’s okay to hate someone solely because of the color of his skin. They aren’t against racism ‐ they are actively in favor of racism. Sure, they dress up their shameful prejudices with the kind of convoluted nonsense their associate professors of oppression studies taught them as sophomores, but it all comes down to the fact that they hate white people. Of course, they also hate black, Asian, and Latin people too, when such patriots dare embrace conservative values. So, in that way, liberals are equal opportunity racists. ...We need to accept the harsh reality that a substantial number of our fellow citizens hate our guts. All the simpering blabber about civility, all the clichés about unity, are all just comforting lies. A bunch of them hate us. They hate us. Hate. And we need to stop pretending the truth right in front of us is not right in front of us. What do we do? We fight. This is not going to be a single skirmish. This is a campaign, a long and difficult one with the objective of destroying the ideological cancer metastasizing through America’s body politic. Step One: We must ruthlessly attack any manifestation of their hate using all the political and cultural tools at our disposal. We need to make liberal racism painful, so they are incentivized to abandon it. We’re not here to win moral victories. We’re here to win victory victories. Or die - just ask the Cambodians |
