[Breitbart] 60 Minutes’ chief pompous ass Scott Pelley, and CBS Mornings host Gayle King (who identifies as an astronaut), are reportedly on the CBS News chopping block, per a Daily Mail exclusive.
That'd certainly warm the cockles of my cold, black heart.

I'm filing this under Opinion because Nolte calls Scott Pelley a pompous ass. Although I agree with that opinion, it is opinion and should be labeled as such just like the — tee hee —. Then there's the word schlonging, which is certainly inappropriate for a straight news article even though I think it is appropriate treatment of these so-called journalists.
According to the report, far-left CBS News is in crisis — tee hee — "with staffers crying in the hallways, fighting over story coverage and seating, and scrambling to update their resumes amid fears of mass layoffs."

According to the insiders who spoke with the Daily Mail, "morale has plummeted across the network, from the flagship Sunday news show 60 Minutes to CBS Mornings," all of it due to two things: 1) CBS parent company Paramount Global’s impending merger with Skydance Media and President Trump’s $20 billion lawsuit against CBS News for interfering in the 2020 presidential election.

Currently, the Trump suit is in arbitration and all indications are that Skydance does not want to inherit that mess, so it needs to be resolved before the merger is official.

Then there’s the reported $500 million Paramount is looking to cut "in preparation for the lucrative merger with Skydance Media against the backdrop of a ratings freefall" and the ongoing, high-level personnel shake ups.

Fallout from the merger and the Trump suit has already hit hard. No less than Wendy McMahon, the president of CBS News, and Bill Owens, the executive editor of the disgraced 60 Minutes, have already resigned.

So...

Where to cut? Where to cut?

Well, according to the report, Gayle King has become $10 million in damaged goods. Not only is she hosting the forever-in-last-place CBS Mornings, her grotesquely elitist Space Origin flight, combined with her claims that those few minutes in space mean she’s now an astronaut, have scalded her reputation.

"People don’t want to say it out loud in the office but the entire space debacle really hurt us," one 60 Minutes staffer told the Daily Mail. "Gayle being part of that is not a good look for our brand. I think a lot of people resent Gayle for that. I know I do."

King’s $10 million per-year contract is up in September.

"Multiple sources told the Daily Mail that 60 Minutes host Scott Pelley could also be on the way out."

Pelley, of course, is infamous for his self-regard, unbridled bias, and dishonesty.

"We’re in the middle of a bloodbath," a 60 Minutes staffer told the Daily Mail. "The axe is falling, people are leaving, no one knows what to do next. We’re all updating our resumes because it really feels like this is a sinking ship."

Some call it a long overdue reckoning for a corrupt regime media that, at long last, has lost its influence over public opinion.

suggested that the "integration" of black and white people in America was a mistake.

Noah said he had found himself "wondering" whether or not "integration was the right move," particularly in the context of schooling, referring to the 1960’s civil rights era and the end of segregation.

The comedian made it clear that he thought the "racism" brought about by segregation was a bad thing and that people shouldn’t have been punished for their skin color in terms of being discriminated against in society.

However, he then pointed out that Finland was a stable, prosperous and high trust society largely because it is overwhelmingly homogenous.

The former "Meet the Press" moderator circulated a memo to colleagues at NBC News informing them that he would be departing 30 Rock, according to several reports. Todd confirmed his departure.

His last day at NBC News was Friday.

"There’s never a perfect time to leave a place that’s been a professional home for so long, but I’m pretty excited about a few new projects that are on the cusp of going from ’pie in the sky’ to ’near reality,’ Todd told NBC News staffers in a memo Friday.

"So I’m grateful for the chance to get a jump start on my next chapter during this important moment."

Rep. Adam Schiff’s past effort to fan the Russia collusion tale is boomeranging as he now seeks the vacant U.S.Senate seat in California.

Former MLB star Steve Garvey, now a GOP candidate, accused Schiff, D-Calif., of lying to the public on the debate stage this week, prompting Schiff to claim he was censured for "standing up to a corrupt President."

Garvey and Schiff are among the candidates in the race for the Senate seat held by the late Sen. Dianne Feinstein.

In the California primary election, the two candidates who receive the most votes head to the general election for a head-to-head match-up in November. A recent poll released by Emerson College found 25% of respondents said they would vote for Schiff and Garvey was in second place with 18%.

"I called out Adam Schiff for being censured for lying to 300 million Americans. His response: 'I would do it all over again,'" Garvey wrote Thursday on X. Schiff was censured in a resolution stating that Schiff held positions of power during Trump’s presidency and “abused this trust by saying there was evidence of collusion between Trump’s campaign and Russia.” There was no such evidence.

Schiff had drawn attention to himself throwing the "Russian collusion" narrative at anyone who opposed him. At one point, he accused on live television then-Fox News host Tucker Carlson of "being a Russian agent" and said to Carlson, according to New York Magazine, “You’re carrying water for the Kremlin!”

Schiff ignored the question of throwing the "Russian agent" allegations around, and instead deflected with comments arguing that Garvey supports allowing states to ban abortion.

During the candidate debate, Garvey said to Schiff, "Sir, you lied to 300 million people. You can't take that back." Schiff shot back, "I was censured for standing up to a corrupt president and you know something? I would do it all over again."

After the exchange, Garvey said when elected officials "talk down to us" they're "essentially misleading us."

Garvey also said the American people "understand what's real and unreal."

The censure resolution that passed the GOP-led House charged Schiff with abusing the trust of the American public when he was chairman of the Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence.

According to the resolution, Schiff falsely claimed that "evidence of collusion that, as is clear from reports by Special Counsel Robert Mueller, Department of Justice Inspector General Michael Horowitz, and Special Counsel Durham, never existed." The resolution also noted that on September 26, 2019, Schiff "misled the public by reading a false retelling of a phone call between President Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky."

Schiff became notorious as one of the loudest proponents vouching for the now widely-discredited "Steele Dossier." Even after the infamous dossier was proven to be false, Schiff stuck by it, telling NBC's Chuck Todd that “Steele did reveal that the Russians were trying to help elect Donald Trump."

Former House Speaker Kevin McCarthy removed Schiff from the Intelligence Committee in January 2023. The resolution passed the House in June.

In a separate exchange, Rep. Katie Porter, D-Calif., another candidate for the open Senate seat, argued that earmarks "invite corruption."

Schiff defended earmarks, saying Feinstein brought back billions for California from Washington and he would do the same.

Porter shot back: "Incorrect, the earmarks process actually shortchanges California. The data show that diverse districts and diverse states actually get half as much money. We only get two senators, which means every state gets two sets of earmarks."

Chairman Rusty Hicks joined Porter onstage, telling the protesters, "every candidate in this race deserves to be heard."

"Every candidate in this race deserves to be heard, so let's allow the congresswoman to finish her remarks," he said.

Hicks returned to the stage during Schiff's demonstration, saying "here" he was "again."

"Give every candidate the opportunity to be heard before we go and make our voice heard at the ballot box," he said.

Outside the convention hall, protesters held a sit-in near one of the doors. At some points, their chants made it hard to hear the candidates speak, except for Rep. Barbara Lee (D-CA), who has called for a ceasefire amid Israel's war against Hamas

California Democrats cancel events for ‘safety’ amid pro-Palestinian demonstrations

[IsraelTimes] Demonstrators demanding a cease-fire in the Israel-Hamas war prompt California Democratic Party officials to cancel evening events during their state convention “for the safety and security of our delegates.”

California Democrats have been meeting in Sacramento this weekend to consider candidate endorsements ahead of the March primary. That includes the state’s competitive US Senate race featuring four Democrats, including three sitting US House members.

The convention was disrupted multiple times Saturday afternoon by pro-Palestinian demonstrators demanding a cease-fire in Gaza. Party officials had increased security for the weekend convention, requiring participants to be scanned and have their bags searched before entering the convention hall.

Following the afternoon session, a large crowd of demonstrators gathered at the hall. Sacramento police closed some roads near the convention center but soon reopened them.

Shortly after voting ended party endorsements, Democratic Party spokesperson Shery Yang said the evening’s events had been canceled.

“Due to circumstances beyond our control, and for the safety and security of our delegates and convention participants, we are cancelling tonight’s caucus meetings, hospitality suites and VoteFest taking place at the convention center,” Yang says.

White House Says There Is No Direct Evidence That Hunter Biden Actually Exists

[BEE] WASHINGTON, DC — Amid a House impeachment inquiry and increasing questions about bribery and extortion involving Hunter Biden, the White House reminded the press that there's not any direct evidence that Hunter Biden actually exists.

"When you think about it, there's not really any conclusive proof that this 'Hunter' guy is even real," said historic, gay, black Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre to reporters. "Have any of you even seen him in person? Have you actually physically touched him? For all we know, Hunter is just a figment of the GOP's wild and fevered imaginations. It's sad, really."

The gathered journalists murmured and nodded in agreement at Jean-Pierre's excellent point.

"It's a shame we didn't start questioning the notion of this 'Hunter Biden' fiction a long time ago," said Meet The Press anchor Chuck Todd. "How could we have been so blind to the deep deception of the far-right? The whole thing was a hoax! This is an attack on democracy."

Journalists have begun to pull all their Hunter Biden stories pending further investigation into the matter. "Once we have investigated the GOP's deception around the existence of this alleged 'Hunter' character, we will update you on that story," said Jake Tapper. "Stay tuned for an update in 5 or 6 years."

At publishing time, new allegations related to Joe Biden's involvement in the corruption surfaced, leading the White House to denounce the existence of Joe Biden as a right-wing conspiracy theory.

Democrats Scramble To Find Replacement For Retiring Mitt Romney

The Democratic Party was left scrambling for a replacement today, as long-time faithful Senator Mitt Romney of Utah announced he would not be seeking re-election.
The man consistently on the wrong side of the average American.
"This is a huge blow for the Democratic Party," said Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer. "Romney has been one of our most reliable senators. He will be sorely missed."

Democrats have immediately begun searching for a replacement candidate, concerned that conservatives in Utah could flip the seat Republican. "Romney being able to carry Utah for the Democrats was an unbelievable windfall for the party," said analyst Chuck Todd. "It will be incredibly difficult to find another candidate who can win in such a deep red state while completely and utterly turning his back on the Republican party. It's like finding a unicorn."

According to sources in the Romney camp, the Senator plans to retire to the plains of Namibia to spend more time with his fellow rhinoceros family.
