ActBlue officials decline to testify, Congress threatens subpoenas in foreign donations probe
2025-05-24
[JustTheNews] The witnesses initially agreed to voluntary interviews but pulled back after President Donald Trump signed an order instructing the Justice Department to probe ActBlue, correspondence shows.

The chairmen of three powerful House committees on Thursday threatened to issue subpoenas after several current and former top officials of the Democrat online fund-raising platform ActBlue declined to testify in a probe into possible foreign and fraudulent political donations, according to correspondence obtained by Just the News.

House Judiciary Chairman Jim Jordan, R-Ohio, House Oversight Chairman James Comer, R-Ky., and House Administration Chairman Bryan Steil, R-Wis., revealed in the letters that several of the witnesses initially agreed to voluntary, transcribed interviews, then pulled back through their lawyer earlier this month after President Donald Trump signed an order instructing the Justice Department to probe the platform.

“As we have explained, the Committees are examining allegations that ActBlue, a leading political fundraising organization, allowed bad actors, including foreign actors, to exploit the company’s online platform to make fraudulent political donations,” the chairmen wrote in letters to the witnesses, which were sent to a lawyer representing them, Danny Onorato.

"Fraudulent political donations corrupt American elections could amount to interstate criminal conduct," the letters also state.

The letters laid out the testimony flip-flops for each of the witnesses, including ActBlue’s former chief revenue officer, Peter Slutsky.

“On April 21, Mr. Onorato indicated that you had agreed to appear for a voluntary transcribed interview and began the process of scheduling your appearance. However, on May 7, Mr. Onorato notified the Committee that you had changed course and now would not appear for a voluntary transcribed interview,” the chairmen stated.

“He cited a reported Executive Branch investigation into ‘the unlawful use of online fundraising platforms to make ‘straw’ or ‘dummy’ contributions or foreign contributions to political candidates and committees’ as the basis for your refusal to cooperate voluntarily with the Committees,” the letter to Slutsky and Onorato also states.

You can read that letter here:

Similar language was used for nearly all the witnesses who got the letters, which told the witnesses that an ongoing DOJ probe wasn’t a valid excuse for refusing to testify to Congress.

“The relevant precedent is clear that the mere existence of state or federal law enforcement investigations has no bearing on Congress’s oversight power,” the lawmakers wrote. “As such, an Executive Branch investigation into matters related to versight by the Committees is not a legitimate basis on which you may decline our request.”

The letters demanded each witness schedule their interview by no later than May 29 or risk facing a subpoena.

“The Committees are prepared to resort to compulsory process, if necessary, to obtain compliance with our requests,” the lawmakers warned.

The committees have been probing ActBlue over lax security measures and whether those vulnerabilities allowed foreign entities to donate to U.S. political campaigns, which is illegal.

In October, Steil and Sen. Ron Johnson, a fellow Wisconsin Republican, wrote to Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen, FBI Director Christopher Wray and Director of National Intelligence Avril Haines about concerns that four U.S. adversaries may have donated through the platform.

“We write to you to raise an urgent concern regarding potential illicit election funding by foreign actors,” the lawmakers wrote Yellen in a letter dated Thursday. “CHA has been investigating claims that foreign actors, primarily from Iran, Russia, Venezuela, and China, may be using ActBlue to launder illicit money into U.S. political campaigns.”

They also said: “Our investigation has indicated that these actors may be exploiting existing U.S. donors by making straw donations without their knowledge.”

The lawmakers specifically demanded access to any Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs) related to money passing through the fundraising platform generated by any U.S. financial institution as part of their anti-money-laundering activities. Congress has been pouring through those SARs in recent days after gaining access to them under the Trump administration.

ActBlue has acknowledged to Congress that it has updated its donor verification policy to automatically reject donations that “use foreign prepaid/gift cards, domestic gift cards, are from high-risk/sanctioned countries, and have the highest level of risk as determined,” by its solution provider, Sift.

The change occurred just three days after Steil introduced the Secure Handling of Internet Electronic Donations (SHIELD) Act, on Sept. 6, 2024, to ensure foreign money stayed out of online political fundraising. Before the change, Steil said, donations made with foreign gift cards were not automatically rejected by ActBlue before the change, Just the News reported.

ActBlue has repeatedly denied any wrongdoing and says that it is fully cooperating with ongoing investigations.

"Democratic and progressive campaigns have trusted ActBlue’s two-decade-long track record of innovation and dependability to deliver during big fundraising moments," the firm said in a statement in June 2024 celebrating its 20th anniversary in business.

According to internal company documents reviewed by the committees, during the 2024 campaign cycle, ActBlue issued new standards encouraging staff to “look for reasons to accept contributions.” Before the policy change, the platform already failed to require CVV numbers for credit card transactions, increasing fraud risks.

An internal assessment by the company determined the policy change led to “between 14 and 28 additional fraudulent contributions each month,” the committees said.

The documents also show the platform began monitoring potential fraudulent donations from several foreign sources, including hundreds of donations from Brazil, Colombia, India, Iraq, the Philippines and Saudi Arabia, and other countries.

The lawmakers and Trump have both asked DOJ to probe ActBlue for possible criminal conduct.

ISIS suspect arrested in New Orleans Bourbon Street terror attack that killed 14
2025-05-06
Story published a week ago, but still interesting.
[FoxNews] The FBI previously said that while perpetrator Shamsud-Din Jabbar of Texas acted alone, they had not ruled out accomplices

Iraqi authorities on Tuesday confirmed the arrest of an ISIS member accused of inciting the New Year's terrorist attack on Bourbon Street in New Orleans that left 15 people dead, including the perpetrator.

The arrest comes months after 42-year-old Shamsud-Din Jabbar of Texas killed 14 civilians and injured 57 others when he rammed a Ford F-150 through crowds of people celebrating New Year's on the famous New Orleans street around 3 a.m. Jan. 1. Jabbar was killed in a shootout with police.

Iraqi authorities said their investigation into the ISIS member came at the request of American authorities but did not expand on exactly what incited the deadly attack. Officials are not releasing the suspect's name.

The suspect will be tried in Iraq under the country's anti-terror laws for being a member of ISIS, according to a translated statement from the Iraq judiciary.

"With efforts from the National Center for International Judicial Cooperation, a person involved in the terrorist ISIS organization was arrested for inciting the hit-and-run incident that occurred in the United States of America in January 2025, which led to the death of 15 people and the injury of 30 others," the judiciary said, according to a translated version of the statement, adding that the center "received a request from the United States of America to assist in the investigations related to the terrorist operation that took place in the city of New Orleans, in which a gunman ran over a crowd of celebrants with a truck before opening fire on them."

The First Karkh Investigation Court, "based on the investigations and analysis of the evidence, identified the identity of the accused and arrested him in Iraq as he is a member of what is called the Foreign Operations Office of the terrorist ISIS organization," the judiciary said.

FBI New Orleans said in a statement: "The FBI's investigation into the New Year's Day terrorist attack in New Orleans remains active and ongoing. While we continue to work with our law enforcement partners, both in the U.S. and internationally, based on the information to date, we continue to believe that Shamsud Din-Jabbar acted alone in carrying out the attack on Bourbon Street. We continue to follow all leads and encourage anyone who may have information to contact the FBI at 1-800-CALL-FBI or tips.fbi.gov."

The FBI previously said it had not ruled out the possibility of accomplices being involved in the attack even though Jabbar acted alone, saying the suspect had previously visited New Orleans on two occasions, on Oct. 30, 2024, and Nov. 10, 2024. He also visited Cairo and Toronto prior to the attack.

Federal authorities also said Jabbar was inspired by ISIS.

"[H]e appears to have been inspired – from afar – by ISIS. And it is, in many ways, the most challenging type of terrorist threat we face," former FBI Director Christopher Wray told "60 Minutes" in a wide-ranging interview that aired in January. "You're talking about guys like this, who radicalize not in years but in weeks, and whose method of attack is still very deadly but fairly crude. And if you think about that old saying about connecting the dots, there are not a lot of dots out there to connect. And there's very little time in which to connect them."

The Texas native was a twice-divorced Army veteran who, despite a lucrative job at a large consulting firm, had a history of financial struggles and missed child support payments, records show.

During his visits to New Orleans months before the attack, Jabbar used Meta smart glasses to take videos of his surroundings as he rode a bike through the French Quarter.

On Dec. 31, Jabbar rented a Ford truck in Houston and then drove it to New Orleans, where he checked in to an Airbnb. Authorities would later find bomb-making materials and remnants of a fire at the property, saying Jabbar likely attempted to cover up his crime by attempting to burn evidence at the rental home in the St. Roch neighborhood, about two miles from the French Quarter.

"It's pretty clear so far that this is a guy who was radicalized online and who was determined to try to murder as many innocent people as he could in the name of ISIS," Wray said in his interview with "60 Minutes."

Congress demands anew Treasury provide access to Suspicious Activity Reports involving ActBlue
2025-03-12
[JustTheNews] New letter reveals Biden administration didn’t fully comply with requests involving Democrat online fundraising platform

The Biden administration failed to fully comply with a demand to allow Congress to review Suspicious Activity Reports involving the massive Democrat online fundraising platform, prompting a fresh request Monday to the Trump Treasury Department, according to correspondence obtained by Just the News.

House Oversight and Accountability Committee Chairman James Comer, R-Ky., and House Administration Committee Chairman Bryan Steil, R-Wis., made the joint request to Treasury Secretary Scott Bessant seeking access to the SARs, which are required by federal law when banks suspect money laundering or other suspicious activity.

The committees first sought the reports last fall, and Comer has said government officials told them there are hundreds of such reports.

In their new letter, the chairmen revealed the Biden Treasury Department only let Congress see some of the reports.

“Although the Biden Administration initially stalled the Committees’ requests in its entirety for months, on January 2, 2025, Treasury allowed the Committees to review only limited documents,” they wrote Bessant. “We write to request Treasury, in its commitment to transparency and cooperation, provide both Committees with the remaining records relevant to our investigations.”

Congress along with numerous state attorneys generals began investigating ActBlue last election, citing concerns the massive fundraising online platform, which claims to have raised $2 billion for Democrats and liberal causes over the last two decades, had not until recently used security tools like the CVV number on the back of credit cards to ensure donor identities.

The lawmakers told Bessant they were concerned that loose security might have led to abuses on the platform, including the flow of prohibited foreign monies into U.S. elections.

“Our Committees are concerned that the failure to properly vet contributions made through online platforms may allow bad actors, including foreign nationals not lawfully admitted for permanent residence or individuals attempting to evade individual contribution limits, to more easily commit fraud to illegally exploit and violate federal campaign finance laws,” they wrote.

For emphasis, they added the committees want to “guard against illicit foreign influence or other illegal activities in U.S. elections.”

In a recent interview with the Just the News, No Noise television show, Comer indicated the “small fraction” of documents the committees was shown by the Biden Treasury Department only heightened lawmakers’ concerns and determination to get access to all records.

“I think you are going to have a lot to report on ActBlue in the coming weeks,“ Comer said. Asked whether there is a foreign trail of money, he responded: “Absolutely.”

Back in December, Steil told the Just the News, No Noise television show that Congress likely will refer ActBlue to the Trump Justice Department for possible investigation.

“Once Pam Bondi comes in as attorney general under the Trump administration, we then have a partner at the United States Department of Justice to look at this, to do the investigation into bad actors, and to hold anyone who is engaged in this activity accountable,” he said.

In October, Steil and Wisconsin Sen. Ron Johnson, a fellow Republican, wrote to then-Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen, then-FBI Director Christopher Wray and then-Director of National Intelligence Avril Haines about concerns that four U.S. adversaries may have donated through the platform.

“We write to you to raise an urgent concern regarding potential illicit election funding by foreign actors,” the lawmakers wrote. “CHA has been investigating claims that foreign actors, primarily from Iran, Russia, Venezuela, and China, may be using ActBlue to launder illicit money into U.S. political campaigns.”

Tulsi Gabbard Identifies Biggest National Security Threat, and It's Not What We've Been Told
2025-03-03
[PJMedia] In a sane political environment, this would have passed as a decidedly unremarkable, albeit not quite one-hundred-percent accurate, observation. The U.S. Director of National Intelligence, Tulsi Gabbard, recently warned that “radical Islamist terrorism” is the biggest national security threat the nation faces today.
Then the drugs and violence brought in by narco gangs aided and abetted by Communist China must be the second biggest.
Well, of course. The top terror groups worldwide are all Islamic. On Sept. 11, 2001, Islamic jihadis carried out the largest-ever terror attack on American soil. Numerous other Islamic jihad attacks have taken place in the U.S., at Fort Hood, the Boston Marathon, San Bernardino, New Orleans, and numerous other places. The Biden regime caught numerous people on the terror watch list crossing into the U.S. from Mexico and released at least 99 of them into the country. Gabbard was therefore making an entirely reasonable assessment.

Gabbard said: “We look at the past four years of open borders, where we had tens of millions of people coming across our borders, many of whom we don’t know who they are or what their intentions are, very specifically the threat of radical Islamist terrorism here within our country is higher than it’s ever been before, not only because of Biden’s open borders, but because of his and his administration’s fear of being called Islamophobes.”

For Gabbard to speak of “radical Islamist terrorism” was not quite accurate, as there is nothing “radical” about Islamic jihad violence. It is mainstream and deeply rooted in the Qur’an and Sunnah. And “Islamist” is a phony word that corresponds to nothing in Islamic theology. It is just an attempt to distance Islam from the crimes done in its name and in accord with its teachings.

Nevertheless, her statement was a tremendous improvement over the Biden regime. FBI director Christopher Wray testified before members of the Senate Judiciary Committee in March 2021, saying: “The top threat we face from [domestic violent extremists] continues to be those we identify as Racially or Ethnically Motivated Violent Extremists (RMVEs), specifically those who advocate for the superiority of the white race.”

Old Joe Biden then said it during his speech to a Joint Session of Congress in April 2021: “We won’t ignore what our own intelligence agencies have determined – the most lethal terrorist threat to the homeland today is from white supremacist terrorism.”

The following month, a revealing piece in Yahoo News by “journalist” Alexander Nazaryan stated that Biden’s desperately corrupt and partisan Attorney General Merrick Garland “told Congress on Wednesday that violence incited by white supremacists poses ‘the most dangerous threat to our democracy.’ That assertion reflects near-universal consensus among national security experts, including those who worked for the Trump administration.”

In June 2021, Biden doubled down: “As I said in my address to the joint session of Congress: According to the intelligence community, terrorism from white supremacy is the most lethal threat to the homeland today. Not ISIS, not al Qaeda — white supremacists. That’s not me; that’s the intelligence community under both Trump and under my administration.”

The Man the Deep State Hates: Kash Patel
2025-02-24
[John Kass] Kashyap Pramod Vinod "Kash" Patel placed his hand on the Hindu scripture, the Bhagavad Gita and swore his oath to the Constitution of the United States. It was the worst day imaginable for the Deep State in America. And it will get worse for them.

I could almost see the Deep State liar Sen. Adam Schiff’s head trembling with panic, about to explode. And James Clapper’s, and John Brennan’s and all the other Deep State heads. Don’t worry. They’ll explode like eggs left abandoned in a hot pot on the stove. They all will. And like eggs, they’ll smell of sulfur.

They’ve lost control over the federal hammer they’ve used to destroy those who oppose them. They used our sacred Constitution as a weapon. All that’s over now. He’s already defeated the Deep State. They have no shame.

Patel was sworn in at the Eisenhower Executive Office Building last week by his good friend new U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi. He’d been confirmed by the U.S. Senate as the ninth FBI director, succeeding the known liar Christopher Wray. Patel, who is Indian American, is the first person of color to become FBI director which no doubt has the old boys like J. Edgar Hoover rolling in his grave.

"I am living the American dream," Patel said after taking the oath. "And anyone that thinks the American dream is dead, just look right here. You’re talking to a first-generation Indian kid who’s about to lead the law enforcement community of the greatest nation on God’s green earth. That can’t happen anywhere else."

It takes a first generation immigrant to understand what he’s been through. Especially if we’ve come from authoritarian lands. I can understand. My brothers understand. Our father worshiped American liberty and American freedom. And Patel’s father did as well. In no other country could this have happened. Immigrants love America like few others can love her. You need a family steeped in patriotism to teach you. It is a living thing in some of us. We would never hurt America, just as we would never dishonor our family name or our fathers.

When I think of Patel, I think of his parents, running in panic to stay alive in Uganda as savage tribalism eclipsed the rule of law. He tells that story beautifully in a Wall Street Journal op ed. I leave the link in the paragraph below.

"My father fled Idi Amin’s genocidal dictatorship in Uganda," Patel writes. "My mother was born in Tanzania. They married in India and emigrated to New York, where I was born and raised in a bustling household that included my father’s seven siblings, their spouses and six children. My family instilled in me a deep respect for the rule of law and the transformative power of education. These values have shaped the driving force behind my career: protecting the rights enshrined in our Constitution."

The FBI was the world’s best law enforcement agency. I said "was" for a reason. No one believes it is a great institution now. The public trust has been broken. The FBI lost its credibility when it became another tool in Barack Obama’s Deep State tool box. The FBI was corrupted. There were dishonorable and unlawful conspiracies run out of FBI headquarters aimed at the destruction of one man: President Donald J. Trump.

Corrupted FBI officials spied on Americans hoping to put Trump in prison. They lied about it. They lied about targeting Roman Catholics and parents of public school children concerned about what the schools were teaching their kids. They even lied about the series of lies they told the American people to threaten Trump. They lied about the origins of the Deep State lie to protect Hillary Clinton and destroy the Trump administration with the completely fabricated "Russia Collusion" investigation. And so on.

They lied about the Hunter Biden laptop to protect the corrupt Joe Biden administration, the corrupt president and Hunter himself. And so much more.

"Look, I know the media’s in here, and if you have a target, the target’s right here," Patel said Friday as he pointed to himself. "It is not the men and women at the FBI. You have written everything you possibly can about me that’s fake, malicious, slanderous and defamatory. Keep it coming. Bring it on, but leave the men and women of the FBI out of it. They deserve better," Patel told reporters, throwing the gantlet in the media’s face.

Will Patel rebuild the public trust in the now ruined and sodden FBI?

I hope so. America needs a working FBI, not some hollow shell only fit for ridicule. I had good friends who were FBI agents. They loved our country. They were concerned about short-cuts that would undercut American Constitutional liberty. And none wanted to work at headquarters with the silky political cats. They were field agents. It is the field where Patel hopes to ship FBI agents to save them from the rot of FBI headquarters.

How will he rebuild the public trust? He outlined his goals in op eds and commentary that has driven the Deep State insane. He’s written an excellent book "Government Gangsters" chronicling the Deep State. We are both the sons of immigrants. We had to watch our fathers deal with authoritarian rule. And we won’t forget our fathers facing it.

President Trump’s appointments of Kash Patel at FBI and Tulsi Gabbard as Director of National Intelligence were a master strokes. And former DNI John Ratcliffe now runs the CIA. They are Trump’s Deep State Rat Catchers. Make no mistake. The rats were terrified when Trump was elected, and they are even more terrified now.

Thinking of Patel and the immigrant’s dream I also think of my brother Nicholas, who like Patel is an immigrant’s son, he has traced the Deep State from its origins in the dark shadows and damp alleyways of Turkish politics. He’s been around. He is a retired senior CIA officer, National Security Council member, White House official and U.S. diplomat. And he’s been writing about the Deep State for years.

Nick writes: "This brings us to what is shaping up to be the overriding issue for 2024: aware of the Deep State, will voters finally condemn it as fundamentally un-American? Or will they disregard, or worse, embrace it—and thereby affirmatively consent to their own subjugation? The country is at a crossroads.

But Trump was victorious. And with Patel running the FBI, the Deep State won’t easily escape. Some of the large fat rats were outside the FBI headquarters theatrically stamping their feet like Deep State Rumpelstiltskins. Thanks to an X by the great and incredibly brave columnist Miranda Devine of the New York Post, I noticed the photo of Sen. Dick Durbin, Melon Head Schiff and others having a protest. Only a handful of bitter Deep Statists bothered to show up. As I stared at the photo, I wondered if their heads would explode soon.

Hope so. They deserve it.

Grassley drops FBI whistleblower records that show anti-Trump agent was behind Jack Smith 2020 case
2025-01-31
[JustTheNews] Senate Judiciary Chairman Chuck Grassley on Thursday released a series of whistleblower records that allegedly show a former FBI agent who was known for being anti-Donald Trump, played an important role in Jack Smith's 2020 election interference case.

Grassley and Permanent Subcommittee on Investigations Chairman Ron Johnson claimed that internal emails and records show that former FBI agent Timothy Thibault,
…who was admirably placed as Agent in Charge of the Washington Field Office to cause the kind of trouble he rejoiced in…
who was fired in 2024 for violating the Hatch Act, sent a subordinate an email that included the language for what ultimately became Smith's false elector case.

The investigation into Trump was formally opened by the FBI on April 13, 2022, and was known inside the agency as "Arctic Frost."

Thibault also allegedly improperly took action to open the investigation into Trump's role in the 2020 election interference case because he was not authorized to open investigations in his role, according to Fox News.

Grassley mentioned the whistleblower disclosures during President Donald Trump's nominee for FBI Director Kash Patel's confirmation hearing on Thursday, where he emphasized the American people's lack of trust in the bureau.

"Mr. Patel, in my time, I’ve never seen our law enforcement and intelligence community institutions so badly infected with political decision-making. They’ve broken faith with We the People," Grassley said in his opening statements.

"Partisan FBI agents and DOJ officials tried – and ultimately succeeded – in launching a full-field criminal investigation and prosecution of the President of the United States," he continued. "Justice Department and FBI leadership acted in concert to further a political scheme to take down Trump ... They have yet to learn their lesson ... As I’ve said before, if a politically-charged investigation is to be opened, it must be done the right way. That didn’t happen here."

Biden's last minute middle finger to police: pardon of murderer who executed two FBI agents in 1975
2025-01-22
[LawEnforcementToday] In another last-minute middle finger to those in law enforcement, the former occupant of the White House, Joe Biden, commuted the life sentence of a man convicted in the double-slaying of two FBI special agents in 1975.

Just before being evicted from the Oval Office by President Donald Trump, Biden commuted the sentence of far-left activist Leonard Peltier, who killed special agents Ronald Williams and Jack Coler in a shootout in South Dakota, Fox News Digital reports.

It should be noted that Democrat presidents Bill Clinton and Barack Obama both denied previous clemency requests for Peltier. However, he had the support of far-left loons Sens. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) and Bernie Sanders (I-VT), along with former Secretary of the Interior Deb Haaland.

When word of Biden’s actions became public, the FBI Agents Association slammed him. The decision also came after outgoing FBI Director Christopher Wray urged Biden not to free Peltier only days before.

“The FBI Agents Association (FBIAA) is outraged by [former] President Biden’s decision to commute the sentence of Leonard Peltier, a convicted cop killer responsible for the brutal murders of FBI Special Agents Jack Coler and Ronald Williams,” FBIAA President Natalie Bara told Fox News Digital. “This last-second, disgraceful act by then-President Biden, which does not change Peltier’s guilt but does release him from prison, is cowardly and lacks accountability. It is a cruel betrayal to the families and colleagues of these fallen Agents and is a slap in the face of law enforcement.”

Last week, Biden issued clemency to two men jailed for life in connection with the shooting death of a Virginia police officer, as recently reported by Law Enforcement Today.

Peltier is now 80 years old and is allegedly in poor health. He is serving two life sentences for the murders plus another seven years for an armed escape attempt. He has repeatedly tried and failed to appeal his case. Supporters feared he would die in prison and looked to the feeble, cognitively impaired Biden to set him free. Mission accomplished.

“For nearly 50 years, no fewer than 22 federal judges, multiple parole boards, and six presidential administrations have evaluated the evidence and considered Peltier’s arguments,” Wray wrote. “Each has reached the same conclusion: Peltier’s claims are meritless, and his convictions and sentence must stand.”

In a record number of last-minute pardons and commutations, Biden has let 37 of 40 federal death row inmates off the hook, changing their sentences to life without parole. Meanwhile, his equally feckless now-former Attorney General Merrick Garland took the death penalty off the table for a brutal MS-13 leader responsible for seven murders. Among his victims were two teenage girls who were massacred with machetes and baseball bats.

Haaland, who apparently did something during the Biden administration, praised his decision.

“I am beyond words about the commutation of Leonard Peltier,” she wrote on X. “His release from prison signifies a measure of justice that has long evaded so many Native Americans for so many decades.”

Justice. Like what Williams and Coler got after they were brutally murdered on June 26, 1975. The two agents were looking for a group of armed robbery suspects in the Oglala Sioux Indian Reservation in Pine Ridge, South Dakota. While he wasn’t one of the suspects, Peltier was inside a vehicle that caught the attention of the agents.

Unfortunately, they were not cognizant of the fact that Peltier was the subject of an arrest warrant for the attempted murder of an off-duty Wisconsin police officer.

Court documents showed that Williams warned Coler over the radio that someone in the vehicle was about to open fire on them. A gunfight ensued, and both agents were wounded. The FBI said that Peltier then executed Willams and Coler at point-blank range with his AR-15, pumping bullets into their heads.
Remember: At any time, Congress could have rid us of this mentally ill President. But chose to endanger our nation by refusing to use the 25th amendment.

I can only guess, they knew the puppet masters were more comfortable in their rubber stamp management of Biden, than Harris.

Alexander Justin White, 29, of Durham, allegedly used social media — primarily Facebook and encrypted messaging apps (EMAs) — to "make posts about supporting ISIS and jihad" and communicate with other ISIS supporters about wanting to join the FTO.

In those communications, White, using the pseudonym "Sulaiman al-Amriki," unknowingly had online conversations with an undercover FBI agent, authorities said.

"WHITE openly discussed his desire and intention to travel overseas to join ISIS with various individuals on Facebook and over EMAs," a federal complaint states.

The suspect's "many online conversations with various persons, as well as his communications with the [FBI confidential human source] and the [FBI Online Covert Employee] display a longstanding intent and desire to join ISIS which he prepared for and attempted on December 4, 2024," the complaint says. "He expressly acknowledged awareness of ISIS as a designated FTO and repeatedly expressed concern over being caught by law enforcement and the efforts he was taking to avoid capture."

In September 2024, the undercover agent asked White if he was "ok with killing members of the U.S. Military or other U.S. citizens," to which White allegedly replied, "...If it was a family member I would still fight back with them ... There is no us troops [sic] love for homeland or any of this thing [sic]," according to the complaint.

The suspect allegedly said he had multiple firearms and knew how to use them. A photo included in the report shows White firing a gun at a range in July 2024.

The suspect communicated with the undercover agent online for months about making plans to travel to Morocco to provide support to ISIS. He followed through on those plans late last year, when he booked a flight from Raleigh to Rabat, Morocco, on Dec. 4, authorities said.

Federal agents arrested him that day after he checked into his flight, proceeded through a security checkpoint at Raleigh-Durham International Airport and attempted "to make his way to board the plane," court documents state.

Authorities said they seized nearly $7,000 from White on the day of his arrest and confiscated multiple firearms from his apartment in Durham.

White's arrest comes after exiting FBI Director Christopher Wray told "60 Minutes" in a Sunday interview that ISIS supporters inspired "from afar" are "the most challenging type of terrorist threat we face" when asked about the Jan. 1 terrorist attack in New Orleans that left 15 people dead, including the Texas-born terrorist attacker, Shamsud-Din Jabbar.

"You're talking about guys like this, who radicalize not in years but in weeks, and whose method of attack is still very deadly but fairly crude," Wray said. "And if you think about that old saying about connecting the dots, there are not a lot of dots out there to connect. And there's very little time in which to connect them."
Yahoo adds:
White, who went by Sulaiman Al-Amriki — which means Sulaiman the American — on social media for part of last year, posted pro-IS content several times on Facebook between June and October 2024, prosecutors said. Some of the content included IS and other Islamic extremist propaganda videos.

During this period, federal prosecutors said White spoke to several social media users who claimed to be from the Middle East and North Africa about his support for IS. He told several users that he wished to travel to Africa to join IS as well, according to court documents. White also lamented missed opportunities to join the militant group in previous trips — such as in a 2018 visit to Egypt — in conversations online, authorities said.

White also conversed frequently with a covert FBI agent over several months, which included several mentions of wanting to join IS and a staged video call that White believed was with an IS commander's spokesperson, prosecutors said.
From the DOJ web page for this case:
In addition, the complaint alleges that White was engaged in financial transactions to refugee camps which are well known for acting as a front to funnel money to ISIS members and their supporters. White allegedly made online comments noting that he regretted not having traveled to join ISIS earlier, when it may have been easier through certain overseas routes which were now viewed suspiciously. Believing that his opportunity had come to fruition, White allegedly took steps to make his intended travel appear as nothing more than a vacation when he in fact claimed that he would rather die than return to the United States. After allegedly making various preparations, to include purchasing a personal combat medical kit, on December 4, White made efforts to board a flight bound for Morocco which he intended to use as a jumping point from which to join ISIS members in Africa.

FBI closed DEI office in December, agency says
2025-01-17
[FoxNews] In recent weeks, the FBI took steps to close the Office of Diversity and Inclusion (ODI), effective by December 2024," the agency told Fox News Digital on Thursday.

The agency didn't specify why it had closed the office, although many Republicans have been critical of it prioritizing diversity, equity and inclusion, saying that had overshadowed national security.

Earlier this month, Republican Sen. Marsha Blackburn sent a letter to FBI Director Christopher Wray claiming that "radical" DEI practices had "endangered" Americans following the New Year’s Day terrorist attack in New Orleans.

I am deeply concerned that—under your leadership—the Bureau has prioritized Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) initiatives over its core mission of protecting the American people," Balckburn wrote in the Jan. 3 letter after referencing the attack.

After the announcement, Blackburn said in a post on X: "The question is why were they allowed to be focused on DEI in the first place? The FBI should be focused on catching criminals, not winning participation trophies."

President-elect Trump also commented on its closure, writing on Truth Social: "We demand that the FBI preserve and retain all records, documents, and information on the now closing DEI Office—Never should have been opened and, if it was, should have closed long ago. Why is it that they’re closing one day before the Inauguration of a new Administration? The reason is, CORRUPTION!"

The FBI page on diversity and inclusion – that was still on its website as of Thursday – says the agency is "committed to cultivating a diverse and inclusive workforce. In 2015, the FBI added diversity as one of the organization's core values.

It continued: "We believe that differences in thought and belief, in race and religion, in orientation, and in ability contribute to more effective decision making, drive innovation, and enhance the employee experience. We know that a more diverse workforce allows us to connect with and maintain the trust of the American people. We also understand we have work to do. We stand committed, as today’s FBI, to fostering a culture of inclusivity and diversity."

Former FBI special agent and Fox News contributor Nicole Parker told Fox News Digital: "I appreciate all forms of diversity. Make no mistake of that. What I do not appreciate is when there is a constant push for social justice weaponization at the FBI whose top priorities are to protect the American people and uphold the Constitution."

She added that FBI Director Christopher Wray has made it clear that threats across and against the nation are "at an all-time high. ‘Flashing red lights,’ as he has stated in congressional testimony. There is no time for clubs, groups, or social agendas that divert time, attention and resources away from the mission of the FBI to protect the American people."

"DEI is a dangerous distraction," she continued. "I have no issue in celebrating whatever you would like regarding your heritage or gender or religion. But that should be done on your own time and not with the U.S. taxpayers' dollars while on official Bureau time."

Parker added, "The FBI needs to focus on hiring the best and brightest based solely on meritocracy. Americans deserve the best. I have never been on an operation or heard of a civilian calling into the FBI and requesting an individual of a certain race or gender provide them with assistance in solving their problem or stopping a crime they've fallen victim to. Americans simply want to be safe."

"The FBI should be focused on being one in fighting crime, not various groups and divisions that divide," she said.

Parker also noted that there are numerous other groups within the FBI aside from the DEI office, including the American Indian and Alaska Native Advisory Committee, Asian Pacific American Advisory Committee, Black Affairs Diversity Committee, Bureau Equality, Hispanic Advisory Board, Near and Middle East Advisory Committee, Persons with Disabilities Advisory Committee, Veterans Affairs Advisory Committee, and the Women's Advisory Committee.

She said the bureau also has numerous resource groups, including Blacks in Government, FBI African American Millennials, FBI Family, FBI Jewish Americans, FBI Latinos for Empowerment Advancement and Development, FBI Pride, Federal Asian Pacific American Counsel, Federally Employed Women, From Boots to Suits and the Toastmasters Club.

Wray announced in December that he planned to resign with nearly three years left in his term, citing Trump's desire for a change in leadership at the agency.

This is President Biden's last week in office. President-elect Trump will take office on Monday.

Fox News Digital has reached out to Kash Patel, Trump's pick to lead the FBI, for comment.

The FBI’s Office of Diversity and Inclusion was created in 2012 during the Obama administration with its goal to provide "guidance and implement programs that promote a diverse and inclusive workplace that allows all employees to succeed and advance."

In 2021, after Biden took office, Scott McMillion became the FBI’s first chief diversity officer, saying that he planned to spearhead a "cultural shift" at the agency.

Outgong FBI Director Shares What Everyone Suspected-FBI's Chris Wray Reveals Right Before Resigning That China Has Penetrated U.S.'s Critical Infrastructure
2025-01-16
[Breitbart] Outgoing FBI Director Christopher Wray revealed during an interview on Sunday, a week before he steps down, that China has penetrated America’s water treatment plants, electric grid, and other critical civilian infrastructure, and is lying “in wait” for an opportunity to cyberattack at a time and place of its choosing.

Asked on CBS’s 60 Minutes about Chinese penetration of U.S. cyber and infrastructure, Wray said China’s cyber program is the largest in the world and has stolen more of Americans’ personal and corporate data than every nation combined. Then, he added:

But even beyond the cyber theft. There’s another part of the Chinese cyber threat that I think has not gotten the attention publicly that it I think desperately deserves. And that is Chinese government’s pre-positioning on American civilian critical infrastructure. To lie in wait on those networks to be in a position to wreak havoc and can inflict real-world harm at a time and place of their choosing.

Wray said China has already infiltrated malware into critical American infrastructure.

“Things like water treatment plants. We’re talking about transportation systems. We’re talking about targeting of our energy sector, the electric grid, natural gas pipelines. And recently we’ve seen targeting of our telecommunications systems,” he said.

Wray said China has also been listening into Americans’ calls.

CBS News said China has gathered communications of U.S. national security officials, as well as the Kamala Harris campaign and President-Elect Donald Trump himself.

The revelation prompted outrage from former Trump administration officials who say Wray did not do enough to stem the threat from China on his watch, only to discuss it publicly a week from stepping down.

Joshua Steinman, former National Security Council senior director for cyber security during the Trump administration, posted on X:

This enrages me. I left them with the tools they needed to confront this. And it appears those tools went unused for four years. Total mismanagement.

Fox News show host Brian Kilmeade slammed Wray for failing to tackle the threat and criticized the Biden administration for talking about it but not acting.

Other commentators on X slammed Wray for waiting “until the last second” to warn Americans.

“Why did FBI Director Christopher Wray wait until the last second before leaving office to do a 60 min interview and tell us that China has sleeper cells all over the country…?” one posted.

“Wray knows that Chinese agents have infiltrated the country in order to attack the power grid whenever they choose. How did they get here? What EXACTLY is your job description,” another posted.

Wray called stepping down “one of the hardest decisions” he has ever made, but said he had little choice after President-Elect Donald Trump made it clear he would be replaced.

Trump has nominated Kash Patel, former deputy Director of National Intelligence and Pentagon chief of staff for the role.

[Zero] While the FBI - the same FBI that participated in the Russiagage hoax, polarizing half of America into focusing on the Kremlin for a decade, the Chinese government - the same one that enriched the Biden family to the tune of millions, has apparently been 'lying in wait' all over America and is ready to attack critical infrastructure at a moment's notice.

According to outgoing FBI Director Christopher Wray in a Sunday appearance on "60 Minutes," - "The Chinese government is prepositioning on American civilian critical infrastructure to lie in wait on those networks to be in a position to wreak havoc & inflict real world harm at a time & place of their choosing."
