TLP vice emir 'arrested' for inciting violence against CJP Isa |
2024-07-30 |
[GEO.TV] Tehrik-e-Labbaik Pakistain (TLP) Vice Emir Pir Zaheerul Hasan Shah, who had gone in hiding in Okara, has been arrested after being booked for inciting violence against Chief Justice of Pakistain (CJP) Qazi Faez Isa, sources told Geo News on Monday. Shah's arrest comes after a case was lodged against him for a speech made during a protest rally outside the Lahore Press Club during a demonstration against the SC verdict in the Mubarak Sani case. The case was lodged in Lahore's Qila Gujjar Sing cop shoppe on behalf of Station House Officer (SHO) Hammad Hussain against the TLP leader and 1,500 party workers for issuing death threats to the chief justice. The FIR includes provisions of the Anti-Terrorism Act (ATA) and those related to spreading religious hatred and anarchy, pressuring and threatening the higher judiciary, interference in state affairs, obstructing in performance of legal duties and others. It is to be noted that apart from TLP, Jamaat Ulema-e-Islam ...a Pak religious party. It is usually part of the govt, never part of the solution... -Sami (JUI-S), Mili Yakjehti Council Pakistain (MYC ...Milli Yakjehti Council: an alliance of Pak religious parties including the Jamaat-e-Islami and the JUI-F. Somehow this is considered to be a good way to promote sectarian and religious harmony in Pakistain despite their habit of sponsoring terrorist groups both at home and abroad... ) and Wafaqul Madaris-ul-Arabiya (WMA) have also voiced their opposition to the apex court's verdict in the said case. The opposition comes despite the clarification issued by the apex court on Friday which said that the court's verdict clearly states that no one can be a Moslem without having faith in the finality of prophethood of Prophet Muhammad (PTUI!). 'STATE WON'T ALLOW FATWAS CALLING FOR MURDER' Earlier in the day, the federal government announced that it won't allow malicious propaganda against the CJP and will take strict action against those responsible for it. "The state will not allow anyone to issue a fatwa calling for someone's murder," Defence Minister Khawaja Asif said in a presser in Islamabad. Flanked by Planning and Development Minister Ahsan Iqbal, the defence minister, while referring to the propaganda campaign hurled against the chief justice following the SC verdict in the Mubarak Sani case, said that an attempt is being made to use religion for bloodshed for vested political interests. "There has been malicious propaganda about the chief justice and he has been targeted for a long time," said the federal minister. He said that an attempt is being made to silence a voice which has set a tradition of speaking truth, reiterating that the law will take its course. Asif further said that the state will now take action because CJP Isa has been targeted for a long time, adding that baseless accusations cannot be made against someone. "There should be supremacy of Constitution in the country and justice should prevail. [The state] will not accept dictation aimed towards securing personal interests in the name of politics," he added. PTI-led opposition alliance 'conspiring' against country: Baby Bhutto |
2024-04-15 |
[GEO.TV] Firing a fresh salvo at the PTI-led “grand opposition alliance”, PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari has said that they are hatching a conspiracy against the country under the garb of poll rigging claims. Bilawal made the remarks while addressing a public gathering at Garhi Khuda Bakhsh in Larkana on Sunday in connection with 45th death anniversary of former prime minister Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto. “Many forces did not believe in democracy. They used to hatch conspiracies but President Asif Ali Zardari foiled their designs.” Taking a veiled jab at the six-party opposition alliance, the former foreign minister said that some politician wanted to launch PNA-II even today. The Pakistan National Alliance (PNA), a nine-party alliance, was launched in 1977 against the Bhutto-led government. Without naming Imran Khan, Bilawal said that some politicians play with the fate of the country and people for the sake of “personal ego”. Is any ego other than personal? “Now they are hatching conspiracy against the country and its economy by beating the drums of [electoral] rigging,” he added. His remarks came a day after the PTI-led opposition alliance — including Sunni Ittehad Council (SIC), Jamaat-e-Islami (JI), Balochistan National Party-Mengal (BNP), Majlis Wahdat-e-Muslimeen (MWM) and Pashtunkhwa Milli Awami Party (PkMAP) — launched its protest movement with a power show in Balochistan’s Pishin district. The six-party alliance launched the movement against the alleged massive rigging in the February 8 general elections. Stressing the need for “national reconciliation” to steer the country out of the crisis, the PPP leader said that the country would not progress if they do the “politics of abuses”. He urged the politicians to stay in their ambit prescribed in the Constitution. If the democracy is derailed, masses would be the first who suffer loss, warned the PPP leader. “Politicians utmost priority should be steering the country out of crisis.” Related: Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari 03-/09/2024 "Zardari to take care of you as he does of me", Bilawal assures Punjab lawmakers Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari 03-/06/2024 Zardari tipped to win presidential election as PPP "secures" 345 electoral votes Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari 02-/21/2024 Magic number achieved: Shehbaz PM, Zardari president as PPP, PML-N finally agree Related: Larkana: 2024-03-20 Dacoits slay "defiant" primary schoolteacher in Kandhkot-Kashmore"s kacha area Larkana: 2021-05-16 Teenage girl raped by elder brother in Larkana Larkana: 2021-02-07 LeM chief arrested in Jammu; major terror strike foiled Related: Zulfikar Ali Bhutto 03-/10/2024 Zardari gets elected as president for historic second time with overwhelming majority Zulfikar Ali Bhutto 03-/07/2024 Zulfikar Ali Bhutto was not given a fair trial: Supreme Court Zulfikar Ali Bhutto 11-/17/2023 "Old politicians ought to be sent home," Bilawal stresses need for new leadership Related: Asif Ali Zardari 04-/09/2024 Incarcerated PTI President Parvez Elahi "still sincerely stands with Imran Khan" Asif Ali Zardari 03-/10/2024 Zardari gets elected as president for historic second time with overwhelming majority Asif Ali Zardari 03-/09/2024 "Zardari to take care of you as he does of me", Bilawal assures Punjab lawmakers Related: Pakistan National Alliance: 2007-07-19 PPP blames "Zia remnants" for blast Pakistan National Alliance: 2006-02-21 Musharraf losing his grip Related: Imran Khan 04-/09/2024 Incarcerated PTI President Parvez Elahi "still sincerely stands with Imran Khan" Imran Khan 04-/05/2024 The rise of Hafiz Naeem ur Rehman within JI ranks Imran Khan 04-/03/2024 "Bushra Bibi poisoned in Bani Gala sub-jail", Imran Khan tells court Related: Sunni Ittehad Council: 2024-03-11 Asif Zardari sworn in as 14th President of Pakistan Sunni Ittehad Council: 2024-03-10 Zardari gets elected as president for historic second time with overwhelming majority Sunni Ittehad Council: 2024-03-06 Zardari tipped to win presidential election as PPP "secures" 345 electoral votes Related: Balochistan National Party-Mengal: 2019-08-18 BNP-M leader Amanullah Zehri, 3 others dead as unknown assailants open fire on convoy Balochistan National Party-Mengal: 2012-02-06 Two protesters shot dead in Balochistan Balochistan National Party-Mengal: 2011-06-25 Former leader of BNP-M gunned down |

Ahmadi structures built before 1984 Ord not mandatory to be razed |
2023-09-15 |
[Dawn] The Lahore High Court has ruled that sections 298 B & C, which criminalise certain acts of the Ahmadi community, do not mandate razing or altering the structures built before their inclusion in the Pakistain Penal Code (PPC) through a 1984 ordinance. "I cannot understand how the doctrine of continuing offence is attracted to the facts and circumstances of the instant case," Justice Tariq Saleem Sheikh observed in a detailed verdict issued on a pre-arrest bail petition of two members of the Ahmadi community. Wazirabad city police had registered an FIR under sections 298 B & C of PPC stating that the Ahmadis built a worship place comprising a room with a minaret, which is an architectural feature and a religious symbol important to Islam. According to the complainant, it was an insult to the religious feelings of the Moslem population of the locality and a perpetual source of pain and anguish for them. Since the petitioners were managing the affairs of that worship place, they were liable under the law. A counsel for the petitioners contended that the contents of the FIR did not constitute any offence under the PPC. He further submitted that the worship site (known as Baitul Zikar) was constructed in 1922, while sections 298-B & C were inserted in the PPC through an ordinance of 1984. A deputy prosecutor general and the complainant’s counsel opposed the bail petition. They stated that it was illegal for the Ahmadis to build their place of worship in the style of a traditional Moslem mosque. Even though Baitul Zikar was established in 1922, the petitioners were obligated to change its outlook and pull down the minaret, which was identified with a Moslem mosque, following the promulgation of the 1984 ordinance. Since this has not been done, it constituted a continuing offence and the petitioners, as the current custodians, can be prosecuted, they added. Justice Sheikh observed that the essence of the complaint against the petitioners was the Islamic-style minaret of their worship place. "True, the minaret is a religious symbol for Moslems, but it is also an architectural feature," the judge said. He noted that the earliest mosques lacked minarets as at the time of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (PTUI!), the call to prayer (Azan) was made from the highest roof near the mosque. Fascinating. The judge said varying theories exist about the origin of minarets as some scholars think that early Moslems adopted Greek watch towers to call people to prayer, which Moslems used for their own purposes before deciding to create their own architectural structure.Others, he said, believe that the Ziggurat towers of the Babylonian empire inspired the minaret. That seems a bit of a stretch, but do go on, Your Immensity. Justice Sheikh wrote, "I do not need to determine in these proceedings whether sections 298-B and 298-C PPC prohibit and criminalise the construction of a worship place by Qadianis ...analogous to kike or Jap, a religious slur against Ahmadis that refers to the fact that the founder of the heretical Moslem sect came from the northern Indian town of Qadian. Also the legal name in Pakistan of the sect, which just goes to show... resembling a mosque. However, the way to a man's heart remains through his stomach... in my opinion, they do not mandate that the structures built before the promulgation of Ordinance XX of 1984, by which these provisions were introduced, should be razed or altered." The judge noted that Ahmadis built the worship place in question way back in 1922 and inscribed Baitul Zikar at its doorway. And the petitioners are just its caretakers. "I wonder if they can be punished for an architecture crafted a hundred years ago," the judge added. The judge observed that the complainant did not explain why he kept mum for about 38 years after the promulgation of Ordinance XX of 1984 and what prompted him to lodge the FIR in 2022. *Snicker* A cogent point, indeed. Rejecting the argument of the continuous offence, Justice Sheikh maintained that when the Ahmadis built their worship place, its architectural design did not violate any law then in force. The judge had allowed the pre-arrest bail to the petitioners. PPP maintains top position after by-polls |
2023-05-09 |
In case this means anything to our Pakistan watchers. [Dawn] The ruling Pakistain Peoples Party has emerged as majority party in Sunday’s local government by-polls as it won seven out of 11 union committees (UCs). The Jamaat-e-Islami... The Islamic Society, founded in 1941 in Lahore by Maulana Sayyid Abul Ala Maududi, aka The Great Apostosizer. The Jamaat opposed the independence of Bangladesh but has operated an independentbranch there since 1975. It maintains close ties with international Mohammedan groups such as the Moslem Brotherhood. the Taliban, and al-Qaeda. The Jamaat's objectives are the establishment of a pure Islamic state, governed by Sharia law. It is distinguished by its xenophobia, and its opposition to Westernization, capitalism, socialism, secularism, and liberalist social mores... (JI) secured remaining four UCs. After the fresh results, the PPP continued to maintain its position as the single largest party in Bloody Karachi ...formerly the capital of Pakistain, now merely its most important port and financial center. It is among the largest cities in the world, with a population of 18 million, most of whom hate each other and many of whom are armed and dangerous... with 98 of the 246 UCs, followed by the JI and the Pakistain Tehrik-e-Insaf ...a political party in Pakistan. PTI was founded by former Pakistani cricket captain and philanthropist Imran Khan. The party's slogan is Justice, Humanity and Self Esteem, each of which is open to widely divergent interpretations.... which got 87 and 43 UCs, respectively. The Pakistain Moslem League-Nawaz (PML-N) had won seven UCs while Jamaat Ulema-e-Islam ...a Pak religious party. It is usually part of the govt, never part of the solution... -Fazl (JUI-F) got three UCs followed by Tehrik Labbaik Pakistain that managed to win one UC in the Jan 15 LG elections. One independent candidate also bagged a UC. However, if you can't say something nice about a person some juicy gossip will go well... results of six UCs are still withheld due to different reasons. Zardari aide gets aggressive with FIA officials at Karachi airport |
2018-08-17 |
[GEO.TV] Anwar Majeed, owner of Omni Group and a close aide of former president Asif Zardari, was transported to Karachi from the capital by the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) on Thursday evening. In the footage available with Geo News, FIA officials could be seen trying to handcuff Majeed and his son Abdul Ghani inside the airport lounge, following which Majeed snatched the handcuffs and tossed them on the floor. The two were eventually shifted to the FIA commercial banking circle office. The duo would be produced before court tomorrow in a case pertaining to money laundering through fictitious bank accounts. Both were arrested on Wednesday by the FIA after their bail plea was rejected by the Supreme Court. The agency is investigating 32 people in relation to money laundering from fictitious accounts, including Asif Ali Zardari and his sister Faryal Talpur. Another close aide of Zardari, Hussain Lawai, was arrested last month in connection with the probe. Over 20 ‘benami’ accounts at some private banks were opened in 2013, 2014 and 2015 from where transactions worth billions of rupees were made, according to sources. The amount, according to FIA sources, is said to be black money gathered from various kickbacks, commissions and bribes. |

Bilawal's choices |
2015-09-05 |
![]() From his track record to date, it would seem that he lacks the fire in the belly — and the instinct for the jugular — that propelled his mother and grandfather to the top. But it’s early days, and I could easily be wrong. I hope I am. I think it was Alastair Campbell, Tony Blair’s astute and ruthless spin doctor, who once said: “In every crisis lies an opportunity.” The problem is in spotting it, and then exploiting it to the hilt. The crisis for the PPP obviously lies in the ongoing Rangers-led crackdown on its leadership and their bagmen in Sindh. It has prompted Khursheed Shah, the party’s leader of the opposition in the National Assembly, as well as its supremo Asif Zardari, to hurl threats and accusations at the prime minister. In fact, Zardari has reportedly ordered party cadres to protest at the arrests that have taken place. But Zardari is no Altaf Hussain and the PPP is not the MQM, so don’t hold your breath waiting for the jiyalas to take to the streets. The idea of party diehards risking arrest for Dr Asim Hussain, Zardari’s crony and alleged frontman, is laughable. The very fact that Zardari was ordering his troops into battle from the safety of London says it all. |

Terror attacks part of conspiracy, says MQM |
2013-02-12 |
![]() In a statement issued here on Monday, the party's Coordination Committee said that MQM chief Altaf Hussain had forewarned about the threats when terrorists started making Karachi a centre of their activities. At that time, other political and religious parties denied the reality and alleged that the Muttahida wanted to frighten the people and it was talking against a particular community. The committee said that now media reports had highlighted that many areas in Karachi had become places similar to Waziristan where even law-enforcement personnel could not enter. The MQM regretted that while most political and religious parties had been criticising the Sindh government over the incidents of terrorism and target killings they were still not speaking out publicly against elements responsible for violence, bloodshed and terrorism in Karachi. It urged President Asif Zardari, Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf, Interior Minister Rehman Malik and Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah to act effectively to protect the life and property of citizens of Karachi.-- |

Independent Balochistan slogan not tolerable: Kaira |
2012-08-12 |
QUETTA: Federal Information Minister Qamar Zaman Kaira on Saturday said that those shouting Independent Balochistan slogans would not be tolerated. Talking to reporters on his arrival at the Quetta airport, Kaira said the federal government was serious in addressing the grievances of Balochistan and it was evident from the fact that President Asif Zardari had sought an apology from the people of Balochistan. Kaira said, The Cabinets Special Committee on Balochistans visit to Quetta will focus on finding a durable solution to the Balochistan issue, the federal minister said. Kaira said that the purpose of forming the committee was to review the factors due to which the situation was not improving. The committee has consulted different agencies besides the Balochistan governor and chief minister in this connection and during its visit to Quetta, the committee will meet different stakeholders and consult with them and later it will furnish recommendations before the federal cabinet, he also said. The federal minister said that President Asif Zardari had apologised to the people of Balochistan for injustices and excesses meted out to them in the past in order to eradicate the sense of deprivation of people notwithstanding the fact that he had no role in inflicting such miseries on Balochistan. Apology delivered, that's it, no worries now... Citing the constitutional amendments, the NFC Award and announcement of the Aghaz-e-Haqooq-e-Balochistan Package by the PPP government, he said that it would be wrong to say that nothing had been done by the government to resolve the Balochistan issue. We will have to review what we can do to resolve the issue, he said, adding that the government would hold dialogue with all disgruntled Baloch leaders, including those living in Balochistan or abroad. Kaira said that the government was not disappointed on the Balochistan issue and the situation would not be allowed to reach a point of no return. Referring to law and order in the province, he said that provincial government was responsible for maintaining law and order, however, the federal government was supporting the Balochistan government in this regard. He said that the issue of provincial autonomy had been resolved in Balochistan. |

[Dawn] ![]() But the truth lies somewhere else. It was HAARP! The United States' High Frequency Active Auroral Research Program -- an ionospheric research programme jointly funded by the US Air Force, the Navy, the University of Alaska, the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency and the Kilingon High Command. Yes, the same programme that caused the 2005 Hurricane Katrina in New Orleans, the 2011 Japanese earthquake and the 2011 Imran Khan tsunami. Before you dismiss me as being some conspiracy nut job, consider this: It was people like me who were the first to suggest that there were Blackwater agents roaming in Pakistan, that the Americans were using drones in Waziristan and that the earth was actually flat and hollow. People laughed at people like me but not all people but only people serving the interests of people trying to break up Pakistan and its people and turn them all from being true keepers of the faith and patriotism to becoming liberal scum, so you see, people, what kind of people I am talking about, even though you are not that kind of people, are you, people? Now also consider this: I have on purpose used the word people over and over again in the preceding paragraph. Count the times I used this word. Nine times. Now divide 9 with 777 and then multiply the resultant number with 365 and you'll get the figure of 666. If you didn't get this number then you are liberal scum. If you did, then welcome to reality. And that is: Lucifer is in control of the United Nations. I'm sure some of you must be squirming and itching to ridicule me, but remember it was I who first suggested that the CIA was using fake polio vaccination campaigns in FATA to gather intelligence in the area, that Husain Haqqani was working against the interest of Pakistan and that man never walked on the moon. It was an elaborate hoax. It is a conspiracy to label men like me as conspiracy nuts because the powers that be want to hide the truth from the masses, a truth, rather truths, that can expose the large, all encompassing conspiracies that the powers that be are conspiring to implement for world domination through so-called elected governments, the media and nano genetic implants in our heads that are mixed into our branded mineral water by the powers that be through multinational corporations, secular political parties, NGOs and the leading cast of Hamsafar. And did I mention all this was being done by the powers that be? I did. Thrice. Now multiply 3 by 5 then divide by 2; multiply the resultant number with 6, divide it by 9 and add 77. You'll get 666 again. Make sure you use a halal pencil while doing the adding and multiplying, or if you're using a calculator, make sure it's a local brand and not a Zionist one. Because then the calculator is likely to blow in your face and the powers that be will blame the explosion on the Taliban who really do not exist but when they do they are actually a non-Muslim race of Reptilian people working for the CIA, RAW, Mossad and Nana Patekar to balkanise Pakistan and sell all of (true) Muslim population as slaves to the makers of a certain fruit juice residing on the island of Atlantis that does not exist in the Atlantic Ocean but somewhere in the Arabian Sea. I know this because I can speak and understand Arabic fluently. In fact, all Pakistanis should be able to understand and speak Arabic fluently. It is a conspiracy by the powers that be who are bosses of the powers that be that I was talking about earlier that instead of Arabic, Pakistanis were made to learn to speak regional languages, such as Sindhi, Balochi, Pashto and Saraiki. These languages were taught to us by Hindu baniyas and tyrants who ruled over us before Muhammad bin Qasim came to our rescue on 14th August 711 AD and created the Islamic Arabic Emirates of Bakistan. Now look what the liberal scum want to do. They want to rearrange our history textbooks and fill them up with lies like Qasim Shaheed was not the first Pakistani and that Imran Khan is not a tsunami. People like me have struggled hard to fight the conspiracies of the liberal scum present in some sections of the Pakistani media. But thanks to support and backing of gallant and pious institutions like Fauji Fertiliser and Fauji Cornflakes, and renowned scholars and profound intellectuals like doctor (both medical as well as academic), engineer (both Chinese as well as Islamic) and all round hunk, Zaid Hamid, Hakeem Ali Azmat and Austin Powers, the people of Pakistan are waking up to the deep conspiracies being hatched by the powers that be and the Powerpuff Girls to discredit Pakistan's armed forces and make Switzerland's Israeli Francophile Vatican-backed banking system to continue funding local Freemasons like Asif Zardari and Nawaz Sharif and make decent Muslim Pakistani women pose nude on the covers of Anglo-Indian-Angelo-Mathews fashion magazines with 'Pasha Baby' tattooed on their arms. Think about it. What more proof do you need? Now, coming back to the changing weather conditions in Karachi and HAARP... |

Clinton expects Zardari to return to power |
2011-12-09 |
BRUSSELS: The United States has no reason to speculate about Pakistani President Asif Zardari's medical condition and expects him to be able to return to work in full health, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton said on Thursday. "We have no reason to speculate about that. The information that ... we have is that he has sought medical treatment for a number of medical challenges and we wish him a speedy recovery and certainly we expect that ... he will receive the treatment he is seeking and ... then be able to return in full health to his duties," Clinton said. She was responding to reporters when asked about the possibility Zardari might be in the process of being pushed out for political reasons. Meanwhile, the presidential spokesman said on Thursday that Pakistani President Asif Ali Zardari is stable and resting in a Dubai hospital and will undergo further tests, according to his doctor. "The president is stable, comfortable and is resting. Initial tests and investigations have been within normal range," spokesman Farhatullah Babar said in a text message. Zardari is in Dubai for treatment for a heart condition, raising speculation that the unpopular leader may resign. One source said Zardari had suffered a minor heart attack. |

Pakistan's US envoy resigns over memo |
2011-11-22 |
Pakistan's ambassador to Washington has been forced to resign after the government ordered an investigation into claims he sought American help to oust his country's military and intelligence chiefs. Husain Haqqani finally resigned following a series of allegations by an influential Pakistani-American businessman who said he had passed a secret memo last May from the ambassador to Adml Mike Mullen, then America's most senior military chief, asking for US help to prevent a coup. The businessman, Mansoor Ijaz, said the memo offered to install a "new national security team" and to dismantle sections of Pakistan's ISI intelligence service which supported terrorist groups in Afghanistan. It had been passed on with the blessing of President Asif Zardari, he suggested. The disclosure of the memo provoked a crisis in the already tense relationship between Pakistan's elected government and its powerful military, which continues to control the country's defence spending budget and foreign policy. Retired senior military figures said the Army chief General Kayani was furious over the claims and had demanded Mr Haqqani's resignation to settle the dispute. |
