"I don't think that I can give any timeline at the moment, but I can say right now that we will need time for this," Qatar's foreign ministry front man Majed al-Ansari said as indirect negotiations continued into a third day in Doha.

Israel's Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was in Washington, meanwhile, on his third visit to the White House since Trump returned to power.

Trump, who is pushing for a ceasefire, expressed confidence that a deal could be reached, saying: "I don't think there is a hold-up. I think things are going along very well."

Qatar, a mediator along with the United States and Egypt, said the meetings in Doha were focused on a framework for the talks, while a Paleostinian official close to the negotiations said no breakthrough had been achieved so far.

Trump's special envoy Steve Witkoff was set to join the talks in Doha this week.

Pakistan never backs terrorists, Bilawal tells India's Karan Thapar clearly
2025-07-10
[GEO.TV] Former foreign minister and Pakistain Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari rejected India's claims of patronising terrorist groups to conduct attacks outside of Pakistain.

In an interview with Indian journalist Karan Thapar, Bilawal said: "Pakistain does not willingly permit [—] the groups you mentioned or any group to conduct terrorist attacks outside of Pakistain but also within Pakistain."

Highlighting the country's losses during the war against terrorism, the PPP politician said that the world is well aware that Pakistain faced the brunt of terrorism over the past many decades.

"Pakistain is fighting and has been fighting the largest inland war against terrorism. We've lost 92,000 lives altogether. Just last year, we lost more than 1,200 civilian lives in more than 200 different terrorist attacks."

"At the rate at which terrorist attacks are taking place just this year alone, if they continue at this pace, this year will be the bloodiest year in Pakistain's history."

, Bilawal said: "I too am a victim of terrorism. I feel the pain of the victims of the Pahalgam terrorist attack. I understand the trauma that their families are experiencing in a way more than many others can ever imagine."

He also elaborated on Pakistain's ongoing battle to root out the menace, saying: "Pakistain went through a process where we not only took military action against terrorist groups within Pakistain."

He said that in the previous Zardari's tenure, Pakistain conducted an operation in South Wazoo following Benazir's liquidation, and the next government conducted another operation in North Waziristan.

Netanyahu quietly leaves White House without announcement of breakthrough in Gaza talks
2025-07-09
A taste. It’s a long article.
[IsraelTimes] PM’s second sit-down with Trump in as many days ends with no public component; Witkoff delays Doha trip in sign talks not yet ripe after expressing optimism deal can be reached this week

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu wrapped up his second White House meeting with US President Donald Trump
...The tack in the backside of the Democratic Party...
in as many days without any public announcement of a breakthrough in the ongoing Gazoo
...Hellhole adjunct to Israel and Egypt's Sinai Peninsula, inhabited by Gazooks. The place was acquired in the wake of the 1967 War and then presented to Paleostinian control in 2006 by Ariel Sharon, who had entered his dotage. ceasefire and hostage release talks, which was the primary topic of the sit-down.

The possibility of such a declaration appeared to rise after the meeting was publicly added to Netanyahu’s schedule just hours in advance, with Trump saying they would discuss the Gaza Strip while US special envoy Mideast Steve Witkoff expressed hope a deal could be reached this week.

But as Netanyahu and Trump met for over an hour in the Oval Office along with US Vice President JD Vance, two sources familiar with the matter told The Times of Israel that Witkoff decided to push back his flight to Doha, where he had been slated to join ongoing proximity talks between Israel and Hamas
..always the voice of sweet reason...
Witkoff initially was slated to fly to Qatar
...an emirate on the east coast of the Arabian Peninsula. It sits on some really productive gas and oil deposits, which produces the highest per capita income in the world. on Tuesday, the sources said, adding that a new departure date had yet to be scheduled.

The US envoy informed mediators that he still plans to travel to Doha in order to help bring the deal across the finish line, with his decision to push back the trip indicating that a significant amount of progress still needed to be made.

The Saudi Asharq News outlet cited unnamed "informed sources" who reported that the fifth round of proximity talks in Qatar ended Tuesday night without significant progress.

A Paleostinian official told the news site that talks were "at a standstill," charging that the Israeli negotiations team is "limiting itself to listening rather than negotiating" and consulting on "every issue" with Netanyahu and Strategic Affairs Minister Ron Dermer, the lead Israeli negotiator who is accompanying the premier in Washington.

The Paleostinian official claimed the Israeli team lacks authority to make actual decisions, "a continuation of the stalling policy of Netanyahu to obstruct any potential agreement."

Shortly before Netanyahu met with Trump on Tuesday, a delegation of senior Qatari officials held talks with Witkoff for three hours at the White House to discuss the hostage negotiations, a source familiar with the matter said.

After the conclusion of his meeting with Trump, Netanyahu said the discussions "focused on efforts to free our hostages."

"We are not letting up for a moment, and this is possible because of the military pressure exerted by our heroic soldiers," he said in a video shot in the Blair House. "Unfortunately, this effort is exacting a painful price from us, in the loss of our best sons."

Netanyahu stressed that Israel is determined to achieve all of its goals in Gaza -"the release of all our hostages, both living and dead; the elimination of Hamas’s military and governing capabilities; and ensuring that Gaza no longer poses a threat to Israel."

He also discussed "the implications and possibilities" of the operation Israel and the US carried out against Iran
...a theocratic Shiite state divided among the Medes, the Persians, and the (Arab) Elamites. Formerly a fairly civilized nation ruled by a Shah, it became a victim of Islamic revolution in 1979. with Trump and Vance, said Netanyahu.

"Opportunities are opening up here for expanding the circle of peace, expanding the Abraham Accords," he said. "We are working on this with full vigor."

STICKING POINT(S)
Four sources familiar with the negotiations told The Times of Israel that the US is more optimistic than Egyptian and Qatari mediators about the chances that a Gaza ceasefire and hostage release deal can be reached this week.

Witkoff told news hounds earlier Tuesday that he is hopeful a deal can be reached this week, and that three of the four sticking points were resolved during the past three days of proximity talks in Doha.

A source familiar with the matter said the three issues Witkoff suggested have been solved were Hamas’s demand for guarantees from the mediators that the ceasefire will remain in place even if talks on the terms of a permanent ceasefire have not wrapped up by the end of the 60-day truce under discussion; Hamas’s demand for aid to be surged into Gaza through UN-backed mechanisms; and terms of the hostage-prisoner swap.

The source noted that while progress was made on the first two issues, the identities of Israelis and Paleostinians to be released in the deal have not yet been discussed by the negotiators in Doha, with Hamas insisting that other matters be resolved first.

However,
a hangover is the wrath of grapes...
the number and identities of those being released are not considered as thorny an issue as the others, the source said, speculating that this was why Witkoff grouped the hostage-prisoner swap component of the deal with the issues that have already been resolved.

Regarding the issue of aid, negotiators in Doha offered initial backing for clauses in the agreement that would prevent the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation from operating in areas where the IDF has withdrawn from, a source familiar with the negotiations told The Times of Israel.

Only the UN and international organizations that are not connected to either Israel or Hamas will be responsible for distributing aid in areas where the IDF is no longer located, the source said.

Yesterday's Conspiracy Theory is Today's Truth

[News With Views] The dirty, filthy game of politics in Washington, DC has saturated the prostitute media on every platform from the propaganda machine (TV) radio shows to web sites on overload regarding President Trump’s so-called One Big Beautiful Bill.[1]

Before that it was temper tantrums over DOGE by buffoons rioting. Democrats and those feeding off government contracts and absurd waste of OUR money crapping their pants as. the massive amount of fraud, waste and abuse by just about every federal agency, constitutional or otherwise, was laid out for the American people to see how they’ve been fleeced over the decades.

Oh, don’t think for a second it was only members of the Democrat/Communist Party USA now getting their money faucet turned off. Just where have all those "smaller government conservative" incumbent Republicans been the past few years (or decades) and their "oversight" committees?

President Trump campaigned on a transparent government, no more foreign wars, job growth and common sense among other goals. Expose all the cover-ups: Who really killed President Kennedy and who planned it? Hold those responsible for their crimes unless the statute of limitations saves them. The phony Russian Dossier [2]; did pedophile Jeffrey Epstein really commit suicide and did he work for the CIA or FBI under their "black box" operations, the January 6th cover-up?

So many lies. So many cover-ups, blackmail (Oh yeah), two attempts on Trump’s life and now yet another from the human garbage they call the Khomeini over in Iran. That waste of human skin has ramped it up since we obliterated their underground nuclear energy facilities and labs putting out a Fatwa on Trump.

Millions of Americans are getting angry none of the promised release of documents (other than what’s already been reported years ago) has been forthcoming. Too much declassified has been blacked out, page after page after page. Not good.

One attack on our own has pretty much become just another forgotten "incident" while the guilty walk free and get rich. Specifically, career criminal, Hildebeast Clinton. It pays to have friends in high places with lots of money. Not forgotten OUR dead and wounded, their families and friends: Benghazi.

Our U.S. Ambassador, Christopher Stevens, who was always a friend of the Libyan people wasn’t just murdered, his dead body was dragged through the streets by illiterate mobs. When the free political ads (committee hearings), finally got around to Hildebeast Clinton testifying, can we remember that cockroach’s infamous comment? After leaving office she’s lived the life of luxury with OUR men’s blood on her hands which means NOTHING to Hillary as she parades around in Omar the Tent Maker designer outfits):

Hillary Clinton’s Benghazi Debacle: Arming Jihadists in Libya . . . and Syria, Aug. 2, 2016: Looking ahead to the next installment of e-mails from WikiLeaks

"As U.S. armed forces attack ISIS in Libya, WikiLeaks is poised to remind us that ISIS is in Libya — indeed, that ISIS is ISIS — thanks to disastrous policies championed by Hillary Clinton as President Obama’s secretary of state. Also raised, yet again, is the specter of Mrs. Clinton’s lying to Congress and the American people — this time regarding a matter some of us have been trying for years to get answers about: What mission was so important the United States kept personnel in the jihadist hellhole of Benghazi in 2012?

"Specifically, did that mission involve arming the Syrian "rebels" — including al-Qaeda and forces that became ISIS — just as, at Mrs. Clinton’s urging, our government had armed Libyan "rebels" (again, jihadists) to catastrophic effect?

Somali Military Targets Al-Shabaab Stronghold, Killing Senior Commanders
2025-07-07
[Garowe] The Somali National Army (SNA) has eliminated two senior al-Shabaab
... Somalia's version of the Taliban, functioning as an arm of al-Qaeda...
commanders in central regions, in the latest crackdown against the group, which has caused havoc in central and southern regions, killing many innocent civilians in the process.

The al-Shabaab has been fighting for the last two decades to retake the country, but the strong resistance from the local forces and the peacekeeping mission troops has made it technically impossible for the faceless myrmidons to make strides.

According to reports, the faceless myrmidons were killed during an operation initiated by local militia with the help of the Somali National Army within Guulane in Middle Shabelle. The region is the epicentre of the al-Shabaab defiance over the last seven months.

Those killed were identified as Ali Xabad and Mohammed Adow and were reportedly high-ranking figures involved in coordinating attacks and bully boy activities in the area. Several other fighters were also killed during the assault.

They are said to have been the key organisers of the assaults against government troops, regional forces, local fighters, international partners, and the innocent civilians. Security forces were monitoring them before their elimination.

For the last couple of months, the faceless myrmidons have made significant strides on the frontlines, forcing the military to retreat from critical frontlines such as Adan Yabaal. However,
by candlelight every wench is handsome...
the government maintains it is firmly in charge of strategic towns.

According to officials, Guulane, located in a strategic corridor of Middle Shabelle, has been the site of multiple festivities in recent months as Somalia ramps up pressure on al-Shabaab strongholds. Liberation of Middle Shabelle is the major concern of the government.

While the group’s activities are on the surge, the government has deployed more troops in various frontlines with assistance from members
of the international community. The US Africa Command is also a major participant in the stabilisation mission in Somalia.

Syria willing to work with US on return to 1974 disengagement deal with Israel
2025-07-05
[IsraelTimes] Statement by Syrian FM comes as Washington seeks Syria-Israel normalization; accord created UN-patrolled buffer zone, which Israel seized following ouster of Assad in December

Syria said Friday that it was willing to cooperate with Washington to reimplement the 1974 disengagement agreement with Israel, which created a UN-patrolled buffer zone separating the two countries’ forces.

In a statement following a phone call with his US counterpart Marco Rubio
...The diminutive 13-year-old Republican U.S. Senator from Florida, Secretary of State in the second Trump administration...
, Syrian Foreign Minister Asaad al-Shaibani expressed Syria’s "aspiration to cooperate with the United States to return to the 1974 disengagement agreement."

Washington has been pushing diplomatic efforts towards a normalization deal between Syria and Israel, with US envoy Thomas Barrack saying last week that peace between the two was now needed.

Speaking to The New York Times

...which still proudly claims Walter Duranty's Pulitzer prize...

, Barrack confirmed this week that Syria and Israel were engaging in "meaningful" US-brokered talks to end their border conflict.

s on military targets in Syria and carried out incursions deeper into the country’s south.

Israel has also deployed its troops into the UN-patrolled zone separating Syrian and Israeli forces under the 1974 agreement.

Israel says the accord fell apart since one of the sides was no longer in a position to implement it, and that the military action in Syria was a defensive move to protect the country from potential hostile forces that could have exploited the power vacuum. Israeli officials have referred to Syria’s interim leader Ahmed al-Sharaa as a "terrorist" due to his past affiliation with al-Qaeda.

Syria and Israel have technically been in a state of war since 1948, the year Israel was established.

Israel conquered around two-thirds of the Golan Heights from Syria during the Six Day War of June 1967, and annexed the territory in 1981, in a move not recognized by much of the international community, with the exception of the United States.

A year after the Yom Kippur War of October 1973, Israel and Syria reached an agreement on a disengagement line.

As part of the deal, an 80 kilometer-long (50-mile-long) United Nations
...where theory meets practice and practice loses...
-patrolled buffer zone was created to the east of the Israeli-controlled territory, separating it from the Syrian-controlled side.

Foreign Minister Gideon Sa’ar said on Monday that Israel had an "interest" in normalizing ties with Syria and neighboring Leb
...The Leb civil war, between 1975 and 1990, lasted a little over 145 years and produced 120,000 fatalities. The average length of a ceasefire was measured in seconds. Only one of those statements is an exaggeration....
. He added that the Golan Heights "will remain part of the State of Israel" under any future peace agreement.

Syrian state media reported on Wednesday that "statements concerning signing a peace agreement with the Israeli occupation at this time are considered premature."

US reportedly cancels probe into pro-Qatari lobbyist and Qatargate suspect Footlik
2025-07-05
It looks awfully byzantine…
[IsraelTimes] Israeli officials involved in investigation said to be left in dark over why it was nixed, though suspect it may have to do with ongoing efforts with Doha to reach hostage deal

The US Department of Justice has canceled a judicial inquiry into pro-Qatar
...an emirate on the east coast of the Arabian Peninsula. It sits on some really productive gas and oil deposits, which produces the highest per capita income in the world. They piss it all away on religion, financing the Moslem Brotherhood and several al-Qaeda affiliates. Home of nutbag holy manYusuf al-Qaradawi...
i American lobbyist Jay Footlik, who is suspected of directly financing Qatargate suspect Jonatan Urich’s alleged activities, Hebrew media reported Thursday.

The inquiry was to take place in the US in coordination with the Israel Police, and was expected to bring Sherlocks and prosecuting attorneys one step closer to deciding whether or not to indict Urich, a close aide of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu who is suspected of being paid to boost Qatar’s image while in his employ.

According to i24 news, however, the US Justice Department informed Footlik Thursday that it had cancelled the July 9 inquiry, without offering any explanation as to why.

Israeli officials involved in the investigation have also been left in the dark as to why it was canceled, Hebrew media outlet Ynet reported.

They suspect, however, that it may be due to the personal and political considerations of US President Donald Trump
...His ancestors didn't own any slaves...
, i24 said, as both Qatar and the US are major players in the efforts to forge a ceasefire and hostage release deal between Israel and Hamas
..the well-beloved offspring of the Moslem Brotherhood,...
Urich, together with Netanyahu’s former military affairs spokesperson Eli Feldstein, is suspected of multiple offenses tied to their alleged work for a pro-Qatar lobbying firm. They are suspected of contact with a foreign agent and breach of trust, due to what prosecutors believe was their work to improve Doha’s image as a hostage negotiation mediator while simultaneously working as advisers to Netanyahu.

The investigation has broadened, and several former security bigshots are suspected of involvement in helping transfer money from Doha to Urich and Feldstein.

Attorney General Gali Baharav-Miara indicated last month that she would soon file an indictment against Urich.

i24 also reported that Baharav-Miara will request that Serbia extradite Yisrael Einhorn, a former Netanyahu aide who is also involved in the affair due to his public relations firm Perception, which he ran alongside Urich.

The two spearheaded a pro-Qatari campaign to cast the Gulf state in a positive light ahead of the 2022 FIFA World Cup, hosted in Doha, according to Hebrew media reports at the time.

Fresh polio case in North Waziristan takes national tally to 14

[GEO.TV] The Regional Reference Laboratory for Polio Eradication at the National Institute of Health (NIH) has confirmed a fresh case of polio
...Poliomyelitis is a disease caused by infection with the poliovirus. Between 1840 and the 1950s, polio was a worldwide epidemic. Since the development of polio vaccines the disease has been largely wiped out in the civilized world. Polio is a highly contagious, incurable disease that can result in permanent paralysis. Repeated doses of the oral polio vaccine (OPV) during each campaign, along with completion of all essential immunisations, remain the only effective safeguard for children under five.

Although vaccination drives across the country continue to improve in scope and quality, the southern districts of KP remain a persistent challenge.

Limited access and difficulties in carrying out house-to-house vaccination campaigns have led to thousands of children missing doses and remaining exposed to the poliovirus.

In response, targeted efforts are underway. From June 23 to 28, a special vaccination campaign in six union councils of Bannu administered OPV to 17,485 children. A similar drive is being planned for 11 union councils in North Waziristan.
