I recall in the first weeks of the Afghan war, how thousands of Pak Pashtuns of the TNSM rushed off to support al-Qaeda and the Taliban. Many were bombed to red goo, others were rounded up by the Northern Alliance (it was still in existence then) and tossed into conexes or the local jailhouse, to be held for ransom. Few made it back.

Gunman opens fire inside courtroom killing top lawyer in northwest Pakistan

[FoxNews] A gunman dressed as a lawyer shot and killed a prominent attorney inside a courtroom in northwestern Pakistan on Monday, police said.

The attacker, who was arrested at the scene, had opened fire at Abdul Latif Afridi, a former president of Pakistan’s lawyers union and a prominent figure in the community, fatally wounding him. The attack took place at the High Court in Peshawar.

The attacker, Adnan Khan, had previously accused Afridi of orchestrating the 2015 killing of his father, Samiullah Khan, who was also a lawyer, said Naeem Khan, a police officer.

It was unclear how the attacker managed to sneak into the court building with a handgun. The killing was condemned by Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif, government officials, politicians and lawyers.

In a statement, Sharif expressed concern over the deteriorating security situation in northwestern Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, where Peshawar is the capital. His chief rival, the party of opposition leader and former Prime Minister Imran Khan is in power in the provincial assembly.

Before his killing, Samiullah Khan, the father of the attacker, had represented Shakil Afridi, the Pakistani physician who helped the CIA find al-Qaida mastermind Osama bin Laden. Bin Laden was killed in 2011 by Navy SEALs in a raid on his hideout in Abbottabad, Pakistan.

The physician ran a fake vaccination campaign that helped locate and identify bin Laden. The doctor and the lawyer killed on Monday are not related.

In 2012, Pakistan sentenced Shakil Afridi to 33 years in prison on charges of allegedly providing money and medical treatment to Islamic militants in a former tribal region. Afridi and his family have denied those charges.

Pakistan was outraged over being kept in the dark ahead of the SEALs operation. Washington has demanded Afridi’s release but Islamabad has resisted the demand, saying he violated Pakistani law. The doctor was never formally charged in bin Laden’s case.

Following the incident, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and many high-ranking Pak politicians and public figures condemned the brutal attack on the senior lawyer and expressed their deep condolences to the family and relatives of the victim.

Afridi, 80, was sitting in the Beautiful Downtown Peshawar High Court bar room with other lawyers when the attacker shot up him, according to the police. He was rushed to Lady Reading Hospital but could not survive.

The police claimed that the attacker, identified as Adnan Samiullah Afridi, was arrested from the scene of the crime and moved to East Cantonment Police Station where a case was registered.

An officer at the cop shoppe told Dawn that the suspect had confessed to the crime and that he had killed the victim over a family feud.

this resurgence is a serious blow as their activities have increased after the peace talks failed. Thousands of people erupted into the streets in various parts of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (KP) to protest against return of TTP terrorist, especially in Swat. The hostage situation in the Bannu Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) compound has raised many questions. Apparently, the CTD officials were not ready nor were they trained to react to such a situation. Salute to courage and valor of the SSG troops who cleared the CTD building, and resultantly 25 bad boyz were potted and 10 were arrested.

The big question is, who is funding and supporting TTP? Again, hostile elements are out to support TTP in order to destabilize Pakistain. The aim is to create fear and panic through banned terror outfits. They have found safe heavens in Afghanistan and have acquired sophisticated weapons left by the US. The most unfortunate part is that Kabul is not cooperating with Pakistain on TTP and border issue. The murderous Moslems and their safe heavens must be eliminated in all forms and the writ of state has to be established at all costs. The hard-earned peace after the loss of thousands of lives and destruction of properties must not be sacrificed.

A notorious North-West Nigeria bandidos’ kingpin, Muhammad Bello, aka Bello Turji, has reacted to the Nigerian government’s aerial bombing of his enclave in Fakai in the Shinkafi Local Government Area of Zamfara State.

The Nigerian Air Force had last Saturday bombed the hideout of the notorious terror kingpin.

Some of his fighters and relatives were said to have been killed in the air raid.

The bully boyz were attending a wedding ceremony, with Turji and his camp in attendance, when the venue was raided.

He was said to have narrowly escaped the aerial bombardment on his home with injury.

Reacting to the incident, the bandidos’ warlord accused the government of breaking the peace pact they had with him in stopping banditry, by protecting the people of Shinkafi axis from any attack.

Speaking on phone with some of his acquaintances, Turji expressed his bitterness over the air raid on his abode and the killing of vulnerable people.

In an audio conversation obtained by PRNigeria, the bandidos’ leader said he had agreed with officials of the government and community leaders to abandon banditry.

Zamfara deputy governor, Hassan Nasiha, recently said Turji had repented and embraced peace overtures by the state government.

He is known to have been responsible for numerous massacres and terrorist attacks against civilians and security forces in the North-West region, especially Zamfara and Sokoto states.

In September 2021, Yan Sakai operatives attacked a mosque in Gwadabawa, killing eleven people.

Turji responded by leading his bandidos towards a market in Gonroyo, Sokoto State. The bandidos entered the bazaar and opened fire, killing at least 50 to over 60 civilians.

In December 2021, Turji's forces attacked a bus in Sabon Birni, setting it on fire and burning the passengers inside to death. 30 people died in the ambush.

From 4 to 6 January 2022, over 200 people were killed by bully boyz led by Turji in Zamfara State, Nigeria.

Shortly before the attacks, bully boyz led a raid on a group of 3,000 cattle only to be confronted by local vigilantes, leading to a shootout and battle between the two parties.

The outnumbered vigilantes lost and many of them were slain by bandidos, and the killings of villagers began.

South and Central America might make it to Mexico thinking they went undetected by American forces staked out in international waters trying to interdict them.

But once on the ground in Mexico, from where they hope to smuggle their contraband into the United States, those tiny planes will be greeted by a swarm of Mexican law enforcement. What’s more, they will never know a Department of Homeland Security plane was flying within 100 feet of them, quietly tailing them over the Eastern Pacific or Western Caribbean and then tipping off Mexican authorities.

"Even this airplane weighing 100,000 pounds ‐ we can sneak up behind them and they won’t see us. And with the sensors we have on the airplane, a lot of times we don’t even have to get that close," said Dan Jordan, a supervisory air interdiction agent for U.S. Customs and Border Protection’s Air and Marine Operations.

Jordan, who is based out of Corpus Christi, was standing in the cockpit of the Lockheed P-3 Orion as we soared through the air over the Gulf of Mexico on our way to do a few practice "interceptions" of planes flying as fast as 300 miles an hour.

It was terrifying and thrilling as our 117-foot-long plane came within 50 feet of another just like it, all while zooming through the sky.
