Thousands of Iran-backed fighters offer to join Hezbollah in its fight against Israel |
2024-06-24 |
[PUBLISH.TWITTER] I recall in the first weeks of the Afghan war, how thousands of Pak Pashtuns of the TNSM rushed off to support al-Qaeda and the Taliban. Many were bombed to red goo, others were rounded up by the Northern Alliance (it was still in existence then) and tossed into conexes or the local jailhouse, to be held for ransom. Few made it back. Ah, the good olde days! |

Gunman opens fire inside courtroom killing top lawyer in northwest Pakistan
2023-01-17 | ||
"The father of the attacker had represented Shakil Afridi, the Pakistani physician who helped the CIA find al-Qaida mastermind Osama bin Laden" [FoxNews] A gunman dressed as a lawyer shot and killed a prominent attorney inside a courtroom in northwestern Pakistan on Monday, police said. The attacker, who was arrested at the scene, had opened fire at Abdul Latif Afridi, a former president of Pakistan’s lawyers union and a prominent figure in the community, fatally wounding him. The attack took place at the High Court in Peshawar. The attacker, Adnan Khan, had previously accused Afridi of orchestrating the 2015 killing of his father, Samiullah Khan, who was also a lawyer, said Naeem Khan, a police officer. It was unclear how the attacker managed to sneak into the court building with a handgun. The killing was condemned by Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif, government officials, politicians and lawyers. In a statement, Sharif expressed concern over the deteriorating security situation in northwestern Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, where Peshawar is the capital. His chief rival, the party of opposition leader and former Prime Minister Imran Khan is in power in the provincial assembly. Before his killing, Samiullah Khan, the father of the attacker, had represented Shakil Afridi, the Pakistani physician who helped the CIA find al-Qaida mastermind Osama bin Laden. Bin Laden was killed in 2011 by Navy SEALs in a raid on his hideout in Abbottabad, Pakistan. The physician ran a fake vaccination campaign that helped locate and identify bin Laden. The doctor and the lawyer killed on Monday are not related. In 2012, Pakistan sentenced Shakil Afridi to 33 years in prison on charges of allegedly providing money and medical treatment to Islamic militants in a former tribal region. Afridi and his family have denied those charges. Pakistan was outraged over being kept in the dark ahead of the SEALs operation. Washington has demanded Afridi’s release but Islamabad has resisted the demand, saying he violated Pakistani law. The doctor was never formally charged in bin Laden’s case.
The Beautiful Downtown Peshawar ![]() high court bar association described the terror incident as security lapse and criticized how a gunman managed to reach the bar room, and shoot Afridi. Following the incident, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and many high-ranking Pak politicians and public figures condemned the brutal attack on the senior lawyer and expressed their deep condolences to the family and relatives of the victim.
The police claimed that the attacker, identified as Adnan Samiullah Afridi, was arrested from the scene of the crime and moved to East Cantonment Police Station where a case was registered. An officer at the cop shoppe told Dawn that the suspect had confessed to the crime and that he had killed the victim over a family feud. ‘A PROGRESSIVE VOICE NO MORE’ Afridi’s killing marks the end of an era and has left the legal fraternity and his admirers shaken. Latif Afridi, commonly known as Latif Lala, has left behind a legacy of a decades-long struggle for civil liberties, democracy, rule of law, and the rights of people, especially those belonging to the erstwhile Federally Administered Tribal Areas. Born in 1943, he had done his LLB from the University of Peshawar in 1968 and his career as a lawyer spanned over five decades. His election as the president of the Supreme Court ![]() Bar Association in 2020 and multiple tenures as the president of the Peshawar High Court Bar Association is a testimony to his popularity among the lawyer community. He had also remained the vice chairman and a member of the Pakistain Bar Council. He was also a blunt critic of militancy in the region and often called for a clear state policy on terrorism. He was also vocal against the military’s interference in politics and termed the practice usurpation of the fundamental rights of people. During his lifetime, Latif Lala was known for his progressive politics. During his political career, he largely remained associated with the Awami National Party founded by Abdul Wali Khan in 1986. Part of the PPP-led cabinet 2008-13. The ANP is considered left wing, advocating for secularism, democratic socialism, public sector government, and economic egalitarianism.... , with which he stayed until a few years ago. Before his death, he was a part of the National Democratic Party — a recently-formed party led by North Wazoo politician Mohsin Dawar.

[The Nation (Pak)] Swat ...a valley and an administrative district in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Province of Pakistain, located 99 mi from Islamabad. It is inhabited mostly by Pashto speakers. The place has gone steadily downhill since the days when Babe Ruth was the Sultan of Swat... has witnessed militancy since 1992 when Sufi Muhammad established Tehrik Nefaz Shariat Muhammdi (TNSM ...Tehreek-e-Nafaz-e-Shariat-e-Mohammadi (Movement for the Enforcement of Islamic Law) is a Pak militant group whose objective is to enforce their definition of Sharia law in Pakistain whether anybody wants it or not. It was founded by Sufi Muhammad in 1992, and was banned by President Musharraf in January, 2002 after Sufi dispatched several thousand yokels to Afghanistan to fight the infidel and ended up with most of them killed or captured and held for ransom. In 2007 TNSM took over Swat, which shows how well the banningworked. TNSM is the Pony League of Islamic militancy.. ) and demanded shariah in Malakand division. The situation worsened during 2008/9 when Fazlullah allied with the TTP soon after the Lal masjid operation. The Pakistain army launched operation al-Mizan from 2002 to 2006 and operation Zarb-e-Azb ..the Pak offensive against Qaeda in Pakistain and the Pak Taliban in North Wazoo. The name refers to the sword of the Prophet (PTUI!)... in North Wazoo in June 2014 to rid it from terrorists. The Pakistain army succeeded in eliminating the menace of terrorism from KP and killed hundreds of terrorists, however some managed to escape to Afghanistan. Operation Radd-ul-Fasaad was launched in February 22, 2017 to consolidate the gains which is still in progress. Pakistain has paid a huge price on its war on terror as more than 85,000 Paks have been martyred. The recent resurgence of terrorist groups in Swat, Dir, Laki Marwat, Bannu and North/South Waziristan is alarming. The unfortunate part is that the Afghan Taliban ![]() released the TTP murderous Moslems from prisons, and were allowed free movement and entry into Pakistain. this resurgence is a serious blow as their activities have increased after the peace talks failed. Thousands of people erupted into the streets in various parts of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (KP) to protest against return of TTP terrorist, especially in Swat. The hostage situation in the Bannu Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) compound has raised many questions. Apparently, the CTD officials were not ready nor were they trained to react to such a situation. Salute to courage and valor of the SSG troops who cleared the CTD building, and resultantly 25 bad boyz were potted and 10 were arrested. The big question is, who is funding and supporting TTP? Again, hostile elements are out to support TTP in order to destabilize Pakistain. The aim is to create fear and panic through banned terror outfits. They have found safe heavens in Afghanistan and have acquired sophisticated weapons left by the US. The most unfortunate part is that Kabul is not cooperating with Pakistain on TTP and border issue. The murderous Moslems and their safe heavens must be eliminated in all forms and the writ of state has to be established at all costs. The hard-earned peace after the loss of thousands of lives and destruction of properties must not be sacrificed. |

Terrorists' Leader, Turji Bello Dares Nigerian Government |
2022-09-25 |
[SAHARAREPORTERS] The Nigerian Air Force had last Saturday bombed the hideout of the notorious terror kingpin. Some of his fighters and relatives were said to have been killed in the air raid. The bully boyz were attending a wedding ceremony, with Turji and his camp in attendance, when the venue was raided. He was said to have narrowly escaped the aerial bombardment on his home with injury. Reacting to the incident, the bandidos’ warlord accused the government of breaking the peace pact they had with him in stopping banditry, by protecting the people of Shinkafi axis from any attack. Speaking on phone with some of his acquaintances, Turji expressed his bitterness over the air raid on his abode and the killing of vulnerable people. In an audio conversation obtained by PRNigeria, the bandidos’ leader said he had agreed with officials of the government and community leaders to abandon banditry. "There have not been any attacks in the last five months since we reached a truce with the government but now that the military has attacked our home, we feel betrayed especially after the death of vulnerable people in the ![]() KABOOM!... s. "For the past five months, we didn’t attack or kill anyone around Shinkafi. As a result, farming and other business activities were flourishing without any hitches. "I feel embarrassed when my name is mentioned after attacks by other bandidos and terrorists. Apart from my house that they destroyed, many other buildings belonging to innocent citizens in the forest, were also affected. "Peace is priceless and I am ready to be a peace advocate unless the government wants him to be a warmonger. I am ready for either peace or war. Whatever the government wants, we can give them a multitude." Zamfara deputy governor, Hassan Nasiha, recently said Turji had repented and embraced peace overtures by the state government. He is known to have been responsible for numerous massacres and terrorist attacks against civilians and security forces in the North-West region, especially Zamfara and Sokoto states. In September 2021, Yan Sakai operatives attacked a mosque in Gwadabawa, killing eleven people. Turji responded by leading his bandidos towards a market in Gonroyo, Sokoto State. The bandidos entered the bazaar and opened fire, killing at least 50 to over 60 civilians. In December 2021, Turji's forces attacked a bus in Sabon Birni, setting it on fire and burning the passengers inside to death. 30 people died in the ambush. From 4 to 6 January 2022, over 200 people were killed by bully boyz led by Turji in Zamfara State, Nigeria. Shortly before the attacks, bully boyz led a raid on a group of 3,000 cattle only to be confronted by local vigilantes, leading to a shootout and battle between the two parties. The outnumbered vigilantes lost and many of them were slain by bandidos, and the killings of villagers began. CIA Docs Reveal Multiple Employees and Contractors Were Never Prosecuted for Child Sex Crimes |
2021-12-03 |
Obtained by BuzzFeed News via Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) lawsuits going all the way back to 2012, the documents reveal that the CIA "amassed credible evidence" of staffers involved in child sex crimes over a 14-year period and pursued no criminal prosecution in an effort to protect sensitive and classified materials. "Though most of these cases were referred to US attorneys for prosecution, only one of the individuals was ever charged with a crime," noted Buzzfeed News. "Prosecutors sent the rest of the cases back to the CIA to handle internally, meaning few faced any consequences beyond the possible loss of their jobs and security clearances." "CIA insiders say the agency resists prosecution of its staff for fear the cases will reveal state secrets," the report added. Often, the employees were fired or had their contracts revoked, as opposed to criminal prosecution for sex crimes that involved children as young as two. |

Russian MoD creates a unified procedure for airstrikes against border violating ships |
2021-06-26 |
Direct translation of the article [REGNUM] According to the publication, the new regulations are under consideration by the leadership of the Aerospace Forces and the Navy. The incident with a British destroyer in the Black Sea could speed up the adoption of new rules. According to some reports, the set of weapons that should be used by combat aircraft against intruder ships may be revised. In particular, dropping bombs along the offender's course can be replaced by the use of unguided air-to-surface missiles. The Russian military believes that provocations with an invasion of the territorial waters of the Russian Federation will become more frequent, but unguided rockets are enough to demonstrate serious intentions. This takes into account the fact that in the event of a provocation, the task of destroying a foreign ship is not posed, and the impact of fire should only suppress its actions. As reported by IA REGNUM , on June 23, the British destroyer URO HMS Defender invaded the territorial waters of Russia off the coast of Crimea. The border ship opened warning fire, but the intruder ignored it. After that, the Su-24M bombers of the Black Sea Fleet dropped OFAB-250 high-explosive fragmentation bombs along the course of the British destroyer, forcing it to withdraw into neutral waters. The Russian Foreign Ministry has officially warned the British side that next time the strike will be made directly on the ship. |

A $25B US counter-drug smuggling operation quietly thrives far south of the border |
2019-08-20 |
But once on the ground in Mexico, from where they hope to smuggle their contraband into the United States, those tiny planes will be greeted by a swarm of Mexican law enforcement. What’s more, they will never know a Department of Homeland Security plane was flying within 100 feet of them, quietly tailing them over the Eastern Pacific or Western Caribbean and then tipping off Mexican authorities. "Even this airplane weighing 100,000 pounds ‐ we can sneak up behind them and they won’t see us. And with the sensors we have on the airplane, a lot of times we don’t even have to get that close," said Dan Jordan, a supervisory air interdiction agent for U.S. Customs and Border Protection’s Air and Marine Operations. Jordan, who is based out of Corpus Christi, was standing in the cockpit of the Lockheed P-3 Orion as we soared through the air over the Gulf of Mexico on our way to do a few practice "interceptions" of planes flying as fast as 300 miles an hour. It was terrifying and thrilling as our 117-foot-long plane came within 50 feet of another just like it, all while zooming through the sky. |

Trump administration approves first oil and gas drilling in Alaska's federal waters |
2018-10-25 |
Energy company Hilcorp proposes to build a nine-acre artificial gravel island in shallow waters of the Beaufort Sea in the Arctic Ocean, calling it the Liberty Project. The project would be near four other oil and gas producing artificial islands in waters that the state controls. "Responsibly developing our resources, in Alaska especially, will allow us to use our energy diplomatically to aid our allies and check our adversaries," Interior Secretary Ryan Zinke said. "That makes America stronger and more influential around the globe." Interior’s Bureau of Ocean Energy Management (BOEM) issued conditional approval for the project after evaluating the potential environmental impacts, and incorporating input from the public, and from North Slope communities and tribes. Hilcorp still must obtain other permits from local, state, and federal agencies before moving forward with construction, development, and production, according to Guy Hayes, a BOEM spokesman. |

For some reason the Pak intel services were never able to locate his transmitter, much less bomb it. High Court accepted Sufi Mohammad's bail plea and after his lawyer pleaded for his release as he had served a long time in prison despite his old age and deteriorating health condition. This was his first interview to the media after his release. Sufi Mohammad is the father-in-law of Mullah Fazlullah, the runaway head of the banned TTP who has waged war against Pakistain and is the country's most-wanted terrorist. Further criticizing the activities of the TTP, Sufi Mohammad said that it is strictly prohibited in Islam to kill women and kiddies, and that those responsible for the massacre of children at the Army Public School in Peshawar were worse than infidels. He also regretted the 2012 terrorist attack on Pak Nobel Peace Prize winner Malala Yousufzai, saying she was a child and should not have been attacked, and added that he is not opposed to education of children.
