Israeli forces shoot dead Palestinian protesters, wound dozens more in N Gaza Strip
2018-09-25 | |
[PRESSTV] Israeli soldiers have rubbed out a Paleostinian and maimed some 50 others who had held a protesting rally along the northern coast of the besieged Gazoo Strip in a bid to break the decade-long blockade on the impoverished sliver. According to a brief statement by Gazoo Health Ministry, the protester, whose identity has not been disclosed yet, lost his life after Israeli troops began shooting live rounds and tear gas canisters at crowds of Gazooks, who had held a rally against the prolonged siege along the coast of al-Wahe district in the northwestern borders of the enclave. Hundreds of Gazook demonstrators had gathered in the area on Monday afternoon to participate in a boat protest setting off from the Gazoo seaport against the siege, but Israeli navy obstructed the protest’s way off the shore by shooting at them. The International Committee for Breaking the Siege, which organized the march, called upon the "free world to save the Gazoo Strip," whose fishermen are under crippling fishing limits. Since inhabitants of Gazoo began staging weekly border protest rallies on March 30, the Israeli regime’s forces have killed more than 180 people and maimed thousands of others.
The IDF said thousands had taken part in the demonstration, throwing burning tires, rocks and bombs at the troops on the other side of the border fence. Soldiers responded with riot dispersal measures according to rules of engagement, a military front man said. In addition, around 10 Paleostinian boats sailed off the coast to challenge the blockade over the strip, drawing warning shots from the Israeli navy. There were no reports of Paleostinian casualties.

[Ynet] Shin Bet, police arrest 27-year-old who allegedly confessed to planting bombs during Operation Protective Edge. Shin Bet and police placed in durance vile Maw! They're comin' to get me, Maw! a man from Gazoo who was allegedly responsible for terror attacks against IDF troops during Operation Protective Edge and other targets, it was revealed on Sunday. The suspect, Ihab Abu Nahal, 27, was apprehended at the end of July as he requested permission to travel to Qatar ...an emirate on the east coast of the Arabian Peninsula. It sits on some really productive gas and oil deposits, which produces the highest per capita income in the world. They piss it all away on religion, financing the Moslem Brotherhood and several al-Qaeda affiliates... for a job as a teacher as part of an initiative to employ Gazook teachers. Abu Nahal is a member of an Islamist faction associated with the Islamic State ...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allaharound with every other sentence, but to hear the pols talk they're not reallyMoslems.... known as "Unity of God," said the Shin Bet. This faction belongs to the Popular Resistance Committees (PRC) in Gazoo. He began his activities in Hamas, always the voice of sweet reason,'s military wing, where he was trained in using weapons, camouflage, observations, and participated in tunnel-digging. Abu Nahal reportedly said in his interrogation that during last summer's military operation in Gazoo, despite siding with the Salafists ...Salafists are ostentatiously devout Moslems who figure the ostentation of their piety gives them the right to tell others how to do it and to kill those who don't listen to them... , Hamas used him for attacks on Israel, alongside the group's special forces in the northern Gazoo Strip. The Shin Bet said Abu Nahal admitted that he and these forces placed and detonated bombs against IDF troops inside Gazoo. For the purpose of carrying out this attack, they allegedly used the home of a doctor trusted by Hamas. Abu Nahal was chosen by the PRC back in 2010 to commit a suicide kaboom on Israeli targets on the Israeli-Egyptian border and received special coaching to that end, added the Shin Bet, and that year left the Gazoo Strip for Sinai through a tunnel in preparation for an attack on a bus next to Eilat -- but the plan failed for various reasons. Last year, Abu Nahal was recruited into the radical Salafist faction linked to ISIS, according to the Shin Bet. An indictment was issued against him last week at the Be'er Sheva Magistrate's Court. He is accused of the following offenses: Contact with an outside agent, membership and activity in an unlawful association, forbidden military training, weapons offenses, conspiracy to murder and attempted murder. |

Al-Fadhali appeals to lift his siege |
2012-11-10 |
![]() ...a governorate of Yemen. The region was a base to the Aden-Abyan Islamic Army terrorist group until it dropped the name and joined al-Qaeda. Its capital is Zinjibar. In March 2011, al-Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula declared the governate an Islamic Emirateafter seizing control of the region. The New York Times fastidiously reported that those in control, while Islamic hard boyz, are not in fact al-Qaeda, but something else that looks, tastes, smells, and acts the same. Yemeni government forces launched an effort to re-establish control of the region when President-for-Life Saleh was tossed and the carnage continues... Al-Fadhali told Al-Masdar Online that the siege resulted in suffering to his family, dubbing it as illegal. He reiterated that fighters of the Popular Resistance Committees still surround his home, appealing to help him bring food and medicine to his family. Sources of PRC told Al-Masdar Online that al-Fadhali is still under the siege and that they will allow a doctor to go to al-Fadhali's house. Fighters of PRC have been surrounding al-Fadhali inside his home since last Monday and accusing him of affiliation to Al-Qaeda. A tribal leader of Abyan, Tariq Al-Fadhali, was given a 24 ultimatum to surrender himself after fighters of the Popular Resistance Committees encircled him inside his house in Zinjibar of Abyan. Al-Fadhali who returned to Zinjibar on Monday after military commanders helped him to come back insisted that he would not surrender himself. He had left Zinjibar of Abya after festivities escalated between the army and al-Qaeda cut-throats in last June. Military sources said that the commander of the 115th brigade was suspended on ground of allowing al-Fadhali to return to Abyan. Al-Fadhali, who is a son of a former sultan of Abyan, is accused of inciting against leaders and cadres of the Yemeni Socialist Party. The General Secretariat of YSP had dubbed him as al-Qaeda terrorist and asking the authorities to swiftly arrest and prosecute him. |

Gaza Terr Pegs Out from Wounds as Truce Holds |
2012-10-26 |
A jihad boy died on Thursday of wounds sustained in an Israeli raid a day earlier as calm returned to the skies over Gazoo after a truce took hold, ending 72 hours of bloodshed. As Gazoo began preparing for Eid al-Adha, which starts Friday, medical sources said 24-year-old Ahmed Hrzalla, a jihad boy with the Popular Resistance Committees (PRC) who was severely maimed in an air strike in Rafah, died of his injuries. His death raised to eight the number of hard boyz killed in the flare up, four of them from Hamas, always the voice of sweet reason,' armed wing the Ezzedine al-Qassam Brigades, and three from the PRC. The affiliation of the other dead jihad boy was not immediately clear. Over the three-day period, gangs pounded Israel with more than 100 rockets -- more than 70 of which were fired on Wednesday alone, leaving two Thai workers severely injured. Following a quiet night in which there were no reports of Israeli raids or jihad boy rocket fire on southern Israel, schools reopened in southern Israel and Paleostinians went back to work. During the morning, the military said one rocket hit an open area without causing injuries or damage, but it had no knowledge of three rockets being fired shortly after dawn, as claimed in a statement by the Gazoo-based Mujahedeen Brigades. And the Erez crossing between Israel and Gazoo was reopened, as was the Hamas-run checkpoint leading to the border in the northern Gazoo town of Beit Hanoun, officials said. Late on Wednesday, Israeli and Paleostinian officials told Agence La Belle France Presse that an Egyptian-brokered ceasefire would go into effect at midnight (2200 GMT). |

Syria Condemns Israeli Attacks on Gaza |
2012-03-14 |
[An Nahar] Syria condemned on Tuesday Israeli air raids on the Gazoo Strip that killed 25 Paleostinians, calling on world powers to act urgently to put an end to them. Syria "roundly condemns Israeli aggression against the Paleostinian people and urges the international community to undertake urgent steps to put an end to these activities and to sanction those responsible," said a foreign ministry statement. The ministry also reiterated "Syria's support for the people of Gazoo." The statement came nearly 24 hours after an Egyptian-brokered deal came into force under which Israel and Islamic Jihad ...created after many members of the Egyptian Moslem Brotherhood decided the organization was becoming too moderate. Operations were conducted out of Egypt until 1981 when the group was exiled after the liquidation of President Anwar Sadat. They worked out of Gaza until they were exiled to Lebanon in 1987, where they clove tightly to Hezbollah. In 1989 they moved to Damascus, where they remain a subsidiary of Hezbollah... , responsible for most of the rocket and mortar fire that drew Israeli retaliation, agreed to hold their fire. The violence began on Friday with Israel's liquidation of the head of the radical Popular Resistance Committees (PRC). That prompted forces of Evil to fire hundreds of rockets and mortar rounds into southern Israel, wounding people and prompting the closure of schools. Israel responded with dozens of air strikes, targeting forces of Evil and weapons facilities. Paleostinian medics put the total corpse count late on Monday at 25, with more than 80 hurt. Of those killed, 19 were forces of Evil and six were civilians, including two minors. |

EU frets at latest Gaza violence |
2012-03-11 |
[Dawn] The European Union ...the successor to the Holy Roman Empire, only without the Hapsburgs and the nifty uniforms and the dancing... on Saturday expressed concern ...meaning the brow was mildly wrinkled, the eyebrows drawn slightly together, and a thoughtful expression assumed, not that anything was actually done or indeed that any thought was actually expended... at the worst Israeli-Paleostinian violence in three years which left 14 Paleostinians dead, calling on both sides to restore calm. A statement from EU foreign policy chief Catherine Ashton said the bloc "is following with concern the recent escalation of violence in Gazoo and in the south of Israel". "I very much deplore the loss of civilian life. It is essential to avoid further escalation and I urge all sides to re-establish calm." Medics said Saturday that Israeli air strikes on the Gazoo Strip killed 14 Paleostinians, including a Death Eater group chief, after Paleostinian Death Eaters fired at least 90 rockets and mortar rounds into southern Israel, according to an army spokeswoman. The Paleostinian barrage maimed four people, one of them seriously, Israeli military sources said. Israeli media said that three of the casualties, including the badly maimed man, were agricultural labourers from Thailand working on a farm near the border with Gazoo. One of the retaliatory air strikes killed the head of the Popular Resistance Committees (PRC), Zohair al-Qaisi, and fellow member Mahmud Hanani, the ultra-hardline Death Eater group said. Al-Quds Brigades, the military wing of Islamic Jihad ...created after many members of the Egyptian Moslem Brotherhood decided the organization was becoming too moderate. Operations were conducted out of Egypt until 1981 when the group was exiled after the liquidation of President Anwar Sadat. They worked out of Gaza until they were exiled to Lebanon in 1987, where they clove tightly to Hezbollah. In 1989 they moved to Damascus, where they remain a subsidiary of Hezbollah... , said the strikes also killed 10 of its members. La Belle France also called for restraint and a return to calm in a statement issued by foreign ministry front man Bernard Valero. Gay Paree was "greatly concerned by the new episode of violence in Gazoo and southern Israel," especially as civilians were at risk, the statement said. "We condemn the firing of rockets and the humanitarian consequences of this violence and deplore the civilian casualties," it added. |

IDF ups Egypt border defense amidst new terror warnings |
2011-08-24 |
IDF Chief of General Staff Lt.-Gen Benny Gantz instituted new defensive measures along Israel's border with Egypt on Wednesday in the wake of intelligence indicating that additional Palestinian terror groups were planning attacks like the one carried out last Thursday by the Popular Resistance Committees (PRC). Gantz's orders went into effect Wednesday afternoon and included a bolstering of defensive measures along the border with Egypt as well as a stronger emphasis on collection of intelligence by the IDF in Gaza as well as in Sinai in an effort to locate and track terrorists that may be planning attacks against Israel. Gantz also made changes to the operational doctrine of the Navy Command Center in Eilat which is responsible for protecting southern Israel from threats originating in the Red Sea. "These are important changes that come in response to the serious threat that Israel faces today from the Sinai peninsula," a military source said. |

Saudis stop Gaza jihadis from reaching Syria |
2010-11-26 |
![]() A source said that many senior members of Hamas and other groups joined dozens including a faction from the al-Aqsa Martyrs' Brigades on a pilgrimage which began in Egypt. At the end of the Hajj the members wished to continue on their way via Syria, but the Saudis, who had previously received information about the plan, seized their passports. The passports were returned when they got on a plane bound for Egypt. Egyptian security forces at the Rafah Border Crossing searched the Hamas members' belongings to make sure that they were not attempting to smuggle money into Gaza. The Saudi action was surprising because ties between Saudi Arabia and Syria have been warming lately. Assad and Abdullah met in Beirut four months ago to discuss Lebanon, for example. |

Gaza: PRC military wing reports clash with Israeli unit |
2010-04-20 |
[Ma'an] The military wing of the Popular Resistance Committees (PRC) said a group of their fighters clashed with a unit of Israeli infantry soldiers who crossed the borders into the northern Gaza Strip on Monday. Fighters with the An-Nasser Salah Ad-Din Brigades reportedly exchanged machine gun and light weapon fire with the Israeli unit for 25 minutes in the early morning, in a region west of Beit Lahiya known as the Zinda or A'tarta neighborhood. The area is deep into the northern Gaza Strip, south of the almost 1km no-go-zone in the northwestern corner of Gaza. In a statement, the group said it would continue to fight Israeli soldiers who enter Gaza, in an effort to protect the lands of the Strip. An Israeli military spokesman said he was unaware of any clashes in the area in the morning. A similar report of clashes on Sunday was also denied by the military. |

Gaza militants fire 2 Qassam rockets into southern Israel |
2010-01-09 |
![]() The Israel Defense Forces launched a series of air strikes overnight Thursday against targets in the Gaza Strip, hours after a Qassam rocket fired from the Strip hit southern Israel. Three Palestinians were reportedly killed in the strike, including a 15 year-old boy, with two wounded and several others feared trapped inside the ruins, medics said. On Wednesday, GOC Southern Command Yoav Galant warned Negev residents that the quiet Israel has recently experienced along the Gaza border may only be temporary, adding that the IDF was prepared to face tensions should they arise. Galant also urged civilians in the Negev to "prepare themselves for another round of fighting." Hamas had said it was cracking down on militant groups firing at Israel from the Gaza Strip, but communities in the Negev have been hit with rockets numerous times in the year since the IDF embarked on Operation Cast Lead. Just last week, the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP) claimed responsibility for firing two Russian-made Grad missiles from Gaza at southern Israel. The Popular Resistance Committees (PRC) also claimed responsibility for firing four mortar shells at Israeli army vehicles near the border the week before. |

Hamas calls for new uprising in response to Al-Aqsa clashes |
2009-09-28 |
![]() In his call for protests, senior Hamas leader Muhammad Abu Askar in Gaza also called on Arabs and Muslims throughout the world to take action to defend the mosque. By midday on Sunday, 26 people were said to be injured after stone-throwing Palestinians fought Israeli riot police after right-wing Jewish activists entered the Al-Aqsa compound. Hamas spokesperson Sami Abu Zuhri said the Israeli "attack" on Al-Aqsa was an attempt to escalate the situation. "The Israeli occupation is not interested in calm," he said, holding Israel accountable for the repercussions of the escalation. For his part, Islamic Jihad leader Khalid Al-Batsh said, "The Israeli assault is part of a central Israeli decision to escalate in the whole region. This escalation might reach neighboring Arab countries." Al-Batsh also called on the Palestinian Authority to suspend all contact with the Israeli government in protest. He also called upon Arab and Islamic countries to stick to their responsibilities in defending Al-Aqsa. Furthermore, he called Palestinian rivals to close ranks and end the current state of political infighting. The Popular Resistance Committees (PRC) called on the Palestinian people to organize demonstrations supporting Islamic holy sites and emphasizing that resistance is the best option to confront Israeli occupation. The group said its military wing, "An-Nasser Salah Addin Brigades would not stay with its hands folded towards atrocities committed by Israeli settlers and Israeli forces." |
