Miranda Devine: How the Biden admin ‘weaponized' the justice system against Trump aide Peter Navarro |
2025-07-07 |
[NYPost] Former first lady Jill Biden’s factotum Anthony Bernal refused to testify before Congress last week for a scheduled interview about the President Joe Biden autopen scandal. Now Bernal will be subpoenaed by the House Oversight Committee to compel his testimony about who was really running the White House during Biden’s term — or face potential criminal charges of contempt. That’s a real possibility for Bernal and other former White House officials implicated in the cover-up of Biden’s cognitive decline, considering that the Biden administration broke all norms when it jailed President Trump’s White House adviser Peter Navarro and former adviser Steve Bannon last year for failing to comply with congressional subpoenas to testify before Nancy Pelosi’s star chamber investigation of the Jan. 6, 2021, Capitol riot. What goes around comes around. Navarro, 75, was the first White House official in history to be imprisoned for a contempt of Congress conviction. He served a four-month sentence in a federal prison in Miami last year. DEM DOJ’S PRECEDENT By contrast, the very Department of Justice that set a chilling precedent with its prosecutions of Navarro and Bannon (who also served four months in a federal prison in Connecticut last year) gave itself a pass when then-Attorney General Merrick Garland similarly was held in contempt for defying a congressional subpoena to hand over embarrassing audio recordings of Biden’s interview with special counsel Robert Hur. As a senior White House adviser on Jan. 6, 2021, Navarro’s conviction should have had a higher bar than Bernal’s or any other former adviser’s. But the Biden DOJ and one of its pet DC judges, President Barack Obama-appointed District Judge Amit Mehta, ignored Navarro’s legitimate concerns about executive privilege and punished him for his loyalty to his boss, Trump. Dems Reveal their Plan following Passge of Trump's Bill |
2025-07-04 |
[Epoch Times] Democratic leaders and union officials are preparing to make the Republican-backed budget bill—which passed the House on July 3 and was sent to President Donald Trump to be signed—a centerpiece of their 2026 midterm strategy. They plan to use it to draw contrasts with Trump and the GOP-controlled Congress.![]() "There’s no such thing as a low‑information voter anymore," Martin said. "Where people are gathering, particularly in those digital spaces, they’re all receiving lots of information. One of the challenges for the Democratic ecosystem is making sure we’re in those spaces, communicating constantly—and making sure they understand what exactly is and isn’t in this bill and how it’s going to impact their communities, their families’ lives, and their state." On the other hand ... "Today, the House has passed generational legislation that permanently lowers taxes for families and job creators, secures the border, unleashes American energy dominance, restores peace through strength, reduces spending more than any other bill ever has, and makes government more efficient and effective for all Americans," the statement said. "It should never be forgotten that every single House Democrat voted against all of it—proving once again that they support tax hikes on their constituents, open borders, runaway government spending, and Medicaid for able-bodied adults who can work but choose not to. The One Big Beautiful Bill now heads to the President’s desk for his signature, and all hard-working Americans should know—this bill is for you." |

Supreme Court rejects challenge to South Carolina defunding Planned Parenthood |
2025-06-27 |
![]() In a 6—3 decision that split along ideological lines, the high court found the 1965 Medicaid Act does not allow individual patients to sue states over decisions to disqualify their preferred providers from receiving Medicaid money — enabling South Carolina to cut off funding for Planned Parenthood. The ruling overturns lower court decisions that had allowed patients' lawsuit to move forward. The Richmond, Va-based Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals favored Planned Parenthood by slapping an injunction on South Carolina's implementation of its ban on funding for abortion. ''Like other States, South Carolina has an administrative process that lets providers challenge their exclusion from the State's Medicaid program,'' Justice Neil Gorsuch wrote for the majority. ''— private enforcement does not always benefit the public, not least because it requires States to divert money and attention away from social services and toward litigation. And balancing those costs and benefits poses a question of public policy that, under our system of government, only Congress may answer.'' In 2018, South Carolina Gov. Henry McMaster signed an executive order preventing all abortion clinics, including Planned Parenthood South Atlantic, from receiving Medicaid funding. Biden aide ditching House Oversight probe on his mental decline
2025-06-26 | |
[FoxNews] Michael LaRosa, Jill Biden's former spokesperson, told Fox News Digital that 'no one' spent more time with the Biden family than Bernal The House Oversight Committee says it will subpoena top Biden family aide, Anthony Bernal,
"Jill Biden’s longtime aide Anthony Bernal is DEFYING Congress and REFUSING to testify tomorrow about Joe Biden’s cognitive decline after the White House waived his executive privilege," the committee posted on X Wednesday after Bernal was expected to testify on Thursday morning. "He’s running scared. The cover-up is collapsing. We will subpoena him immediately." By proxy, as the first lady's top aide, Bernal became one of the most influential people in the White House, according to recent reports, and he was expected to face tough questions about what he knew and when he knew about Biden’s mental decline. "No one spent more time, whether it was in the motorcade, on the plane, in the private residence at the White House, Camp David, and at both houses in Delaware, nobody spent more personal time around them and their family and the Biden family than Anthony," Democratic strategist Michael LaRosa, who served as press secretary to former first lady Jill Biden, told Fox News Digital. LaRosa told Fox News Digital that Bernal, former special assistant to Biden and deputy director of Oval Office Operations, was an "indispensable" part of the Biden team whose top priority was "protecting the Bidens," even if it was politically harmful due to a "personal and emotional attachment" that became more of a familial relationship than a professional one. Fox News Digital previously reported on how the book "Original Sin," by CNN anchor Jake Tapper and Axios political correspondent Alex Thompson, described Bernal as one of the most influential people in the White House who wielded loyalty as a weapon to weed out the defectors. During the pandemic, Biden traded the campaign trail for lockdown. Bernal and Annie Tomasini, who is expected to testify next month, found their way into Joe and Jill Biden's pod, shifting the power dynamic of Biden's so-called "Politiburo," the group of advisors who steered Biden's political orbit, the book explained. "The significance of Bernal and Tomasini is the degree to which their rise in the Biden White House signaled the success of people whose allegiance was to the Biden family – not to the presidency, not to the American people, not to the country, but to the Biden theology," the authors wrote. "Their instincts, to hide the ball on often frivolous issues is what ultimately got them in trouble," LaRosa told Fox News Digital about the "bunker mentality" from Bernal and other aides around Biden. "Their reflexive need to hide and protect was a deficiency and a blind spot and I never understood it." A former White House staffer fired back against Tapper and Thompson's allegations about Bernal in a statement to Fox News Digital earlier this year. "A lot of vignettes in this book are either false, exaggerated, or purposefully omit viewpoints that don’t fit the narrative they want to push. Anthony was a strong leader with high standards and a mentor to many. He’s the type of person you want on a team - he’s incredibly strategic, effective, and cares deeply about the people he manages," the former White House staffer said. Politico reported in 2021 that Bernal’s management style was viewed by some as "toxic" and would sometimes lead to crying staffers. LaRosa told Fox News Digital that Bernal has a "big heart" but acknowledged he was one of the more "challenging" people he had to work with. Bernal’s appearance before the committee, if it happens, follows testimony from former Biden aide Neera Tanden, who said she was authorized to direct autopen signatures but was unaware of who in the president's inner circle was giving her final clearance. When Tanden was asked whether she ever discussed Biden's health or his fitness to serve as president during her time as a top aide, including during the period of the former president's widely criticized debate performance last summer, Tanden said she did not. Lawmakers laid out a list of names of officials she could have potentially discussed it with, and Tanden said "no" to each name, according to a source familiar with her closed-door testimony. Tim Walz Stuns Critics by Calling China the World's 'Moral Authority' Amid Rising Tensions Over Iran |
2025-06-14 |
[Townhall] Former Democratic vice presidential nominee and Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz shocked many by suggesting that China could serve as the world’s "moral authority" in the wake of Israel’s targeted strikes on Iran’s nuclear facilities and military leadership. His comments come at a time when the U.S. and its allies are confronting clear threats from Iran’s nuclear ambitions, making Walz’s praise of an authoritarian regime both baffling and concerning. At a Center for American Progress event titled "What’s Next: Conversations on the Path Forward," Walz addressed a question from CEO Neera Tanden regarding the escalating tensions caused by the recent strikes. Walz remarked that, from Iran’s perspective, retaliation is inevitable, adding that the conflict in the Middle East has reignited and is spreading more widely than before. He questioned who has the moral authority and ability to negotiate peace in the Middle East, suggesting that the U.S. is not viewed as a neutral party and may never have been. Neera Tanden - one of Biden's Politburo He stated that the U.S. previously attempted to mediate during the Iran Nuclear Deal talks. However, Walz said that Americans need to accept the possibility that China may now be the only neutral party with the moral standing to lead negotiations in the Middle East effectively. Embattled DNC vice chair [David Hogg] decides not to run after diversity re-vote called |
2025-06-12 |
[FoxNews] David Hogg, the 25-year-old progressive firebrand, will not compete in the new Democratic National Committee (DNC) vice chair elections that were decided today after a majority of members voted for a new election. After three days of submitting electronic ballots, DNC members voted to uphold the Credentials Committee's resolution proposed by longtime Democratic Party activist Kalyn Free to host a re-election for two vice-chair positions, currently held by Hogg and Malcolm Kenyatta. Seventy-five percent of those who cast a ballot voted in favor of the resolution, while 25% voted against it. A total of 89% of DNC members cast a ballot. "The DNC will immediately move to administer new ballots for the final two Vice Chair positions, one of which must be held by a male and one of which may be held by a candidate of any gender," said the DNC's Deputy Press Secretary Nina Raneses. "The election for the male Vice Chair position will commence tomorrow morning at 10:00AM ET." With Hogg's withdrawal, Kenyatta is now the only candidate for the male vice chair slot. The DNC's decision is the latest political blow to Hogg, who stirred up intraparty divisions this year for his $20 million pledge to support primary challenges against older House Democrats in safe blue districts he said are "asleep at the wheel" through his outside political action group, Leaders We Deserve. "I came into this role to play a positive role in creating the change our party needs," Hogg wrote in a statement to the New York Times. "It is clear that there is a fundamental disagreement about the role of a Vice Chair — and it’s OK to have disagreements. What isn’t OK is allowing this to remain our focus when there is so much more we need to be focused on." "Ultimately, I have decided to not run in this upcoming election so the party can focus on what really matters," Hogg added. Meanwhile, Hogg also published a lengthy X thread explaining his decision not to run for reelection and criticizing many aspects of the Democratic Party, but deleted it shortly after posting. Hogg's decision to leave the DNC comes on the heels of a damning Politico report, which included leaked audio from a Zoom meeting of DNC Chair Ken Martin lamenting Hogg's fallout at the DNC, claiming it has made it harder for Democrats to do their jobs and for Martin to demonstrate his ability to lead. "No one knows who the hell I am, right? I’m trying to get my sea legs underneath of me and actually develop any amount of credibility so I can go out there and raise the money and do the job I need to put ourselves in a position to win," Martin told Hogg on the May 15 Zoom call. "I don’t think you intended this, but you essentially destroyed any chance I have to show the leadership that I need to. So it’s really frustrating," But the criticism didn't stop Hogg from defying advice and wading into additional Democrat primaries by endorsing Virginia state Del. Irene Shin in the special election to replace the late Rep. Gerry Connolly, D-Va. Martin affirmed the DNC would stay neutral in Democratic primaries following Hogg's multimillion-dollar announcement. And the DNC chair gave Hogg the ultimatum to either rescind his vice-chair position or forego his political influence through his PAC. "I commend David for his years of activism, organizing, and fighting for his generation, and while I continue to believe he is a powerful voice for this party, I respect his decision to step back from his post as Vice Chair," Martin said in a statement following Hogg's announcement he would not seek reelection as DNC vice chair. "I have no doubt that he will remain an important advocate for Democrats across the map. I appreciate his service as an officer, his hard work, and his dedication to the party." DNC Vice Chair David Hogg Reveals Jill Biden's Chief of Staff Ran the Biden White House |
2025-05-29 |
[Project Veritas] Project Veritas today released Part One of an explosive undercover investigation revealing shocking truths about who truly controlled the Biden White House. Through covert meetings with David Hogg, Vice Chair of the Democratic National Committee, and Deterrian Jones, former staffer in the Biden White House Office of Digital Strategy, Veritas uncovered a web of influence centered around Jill Biden’s Chief of Staff, Anthony Bernal, and a tight-knit inner circle. In candid, on-camera admissions, Hogg stated, "Jill Biden’s Chief of Staff [Anthony Bernal] had an enormous amount of power," emphasizing that "the bigger issue was the inner circle that was around Biden." These revelations point to a hidden power structure that operated behind the scenes, raising questions about transparency and accountability in the Biden administration. Deterrian Jones, who worked directly in the Biden White House, described Bernal as a "shadowy, wizard of oz-type figure" who "wielded an enormous amount of power." Jones admitted to avoiding Bernal, calling him "scary" and noting that his influence was an "open secret" among staff. These statements expose a culture of fear and unchecked authority within the administration. Victims of random punchings in NYC blast NYPD response
2025-05-28 | |
Four people who suffered random attacks told The Post they didn't feel police took their cases seriously — even though two resulted in arrests. Last Wednesday author and influencer, Kindra Hall, 44, got punched in the head by a person she did not know on the Upper East Side. She managed to get iPhone footage of the “Even after showing the video with the guy shouting threats, [NYPD] acted like it wasn’t a big deal. I remember saying, ‘So since I’m not bleeding, a punch to the head is ok?!’” she wrote on Instagram. Officers were thankfully able to track down and arrest the man who allegedly punched her, later IDed by police as 43-year-old Yao Reed. Police told The Post officers were under duress at the time and responding to multiple calls, including shots fired. Others who’ve endured irrational attacks have not fared so well in terms of resolution. Sarah Harvard, a 31-year-old stand-up comic and writer, was walking on Delancey Street in her Lower East Side neighborhood. Then, “All of a sudden, I felt a huge whack to the back of my skull. Obviously, it hurt. My brain felt rattled.” The 2024 incident happened in front of Mt. Sinai Hospital and, after filing a police report, Harvard asked the responding detective to obtain footage of the assault. “He said, ‘Well, it’s going to be a huge process; we’ll have to get a warrant,’” Harvard recalled to The Post. “Then they were hard to get a hold of. A couple weeks later, or a month later, I got a call from the District Attorney’s office. They said they caught the guy and wanted me to testify.”

VDH - About The So-Called Trump-Ramaphosa 'Ambush' |
2025-05-27 |
Once Pravda-like instructions are sent out from DNC operatives, mindless media anchors mouth them in lockstep as gospel. So, it was with the supposed "ambush" when South African President Cyril Ramaphosa met Donald Trump. Trump indeed pressed his guest on a number of issues, from the decades-long targeted killing of white agriculturalists on their farms by black hit teams that have totaled somewhere between 1,500 and 3,500, depending on how one defines such targeted killings. Trump further wanted an explanation from Ramaphosa on his government’s new legislation aimed at land confiscation without compensation, and the de facto vanishing number of Boer farmers. Trump was further bewildered by Ramaphosa’s assertion that the new law would not be used to take private property without paying for it ("No, no, no, no. Nobody can take land"), when in fact that was the very purpose of the new legislation in the first place. Trump also showed Ramaphosa videos highlighting a resurgence of South African extremism of the tired "Kill the Boer" sort. The dictionaries define "ambush" roughly as "a surprise attack by people lying in wait in a hidden or concealed position." Ramaphosa’s visit was no surprise. He, not Trump, requested it. Ramaphosa spoke openly to the media before the meeting that he was planning to convince Trump that there were neither widespread killings of white farmers nor arbitrary confiscation of land. |
