[IsraelTimes] The leader of the Islamic State![]() Allaharound with every other sentence, but to hear western pols talk they're not reallyMoslems.... group has released a new alleged audio recording calling on members of the holy warrior group to do all they can to free IS detainees and women held in jails and camps. The purported audio by Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi is his first public statement since April, when the shadowy leader appeared in a video for the first time in five years. In the 30-minute recording released today by a media arm of the group, al-Baghdadi asks: "How can a Moslem enjoy life?" when Moslem women are held in camps that he called "prisons of humiliation run by Crusaders and their Shiite followers."
"Daily operations are underway on different fronts," he said in the tape published by the Al Furqan network, in what would be his first message since April. He cited several regions such as Mali and the Levant but gave no specific timings. ISIS launches last ditch counter-offensive using women and children fighters in Baghouz ![]() Backed by nearly 100 women and kiddies, the Islamic State stormed the Syrian Democratic Forces’ positions at the northern flank of the Baghouz Camp in a bid to force the latter to retreat from several areas. According to preliminary reports, the Syrian Democratic Forces did retreat from some points after losing a half dozen fighters on Monday. The reports said the Syrian Democratic Forces saw many women and kiddies dressed in their combat fatigues attacking their points during today’s battle. The Syrian Democratic Forces will likely counter this Islamic State offensive in the coming hours as they hammer away at the terrorist group’s last bastion with both ![]() Due to their shortage of fighters, the Islamic State has begun using women and kiddies at the front-lines to help defend their last positions at the Baghouz Camp. The Islamic State had previously prohibited women from fighting at any of their front-lines; however, due to a shortage in manpower and provisions, they have made an exception to this rule. U.S.-Backed Force In Syria Claims To Hold Positions In Former-Isis Camp [Jpost] U.S.-backed fighters said they had taken positions in Islamic State's last enclave in eastern Syria and air strikes pounded the tiny patch of land beside the Euphrates River early on Monday, a Rooters journalist said. Smoke rose over the tiny enclave as warplanes and artillery bombarded it. Another witness said the jihadists had earlier mounted a counter attack. The Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) militia said in an update on Monday that tens of gunnies had been killed during what it called fierce festivities, and one SDF fighter had been injured. It said Islamic State had sent four jacket wallahs to points close to SDF fighters. Late on Sunday, an SDF front man, Mustafa Bali, said on Twitter that several enemy positions had been captured and an ammunition storage area had been blown up. An Islamic State front man said on Monday the displacement of "the weak and poor" from Syria's Baghouz would not weaken the group. "Do you think the displacement of the weak and poor out of Baghouz will weaken the Islamic State? No," Abi al-Hassan al-Muhajer said in a recording distributed by Al Furqan, a media organization linked to Islamic State. He added "the Islamic State will return, God willing, to the regions it left whether it takes a long or a short time." In the recording al-Muhajer also said Islamic State leader His Supreme Immensity, Caliph of the Faithful and Galactic Overlord, Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi ![]() urged the group to avoid using telecommunications devices as they had brought harm, and to take caution. |

ANZAC Day terror plot foiled in Melbourne |
2015-04-18 |
![]() Victoria Police Deputy Commissioner Shane Patton said the 18-year-old men were 'associates' of Abdul Numan Haider, who was gunned down after stabbing two officers outside a Melbourne police station on September 23. Both are still being questioned by police who plan to charge them with terror-related crimes and possessing prohibited items, including knives and swords, seized at some of the properties searched. Victorian Premier Daniel Andrews called the plans "simply evil" on Saturday morning, while insisting that the individuals "do not represent any faith, culture or religion." Australian Federal Police Acting Deputy Commissioner Neil Gaughan said, "It is alleged both men were undertaking preparations for a terrorist attack at an Anzac Day activity in Melbourne which included targeting police officers." Commissioner Patton later added that, "Some evidence that was collected at a couple of the scenes and some other information we have, leads us to believe that this particular matter was ISIS-inspired." A total of five teens have been arrested as part of the Melbourne Joint Counter Terrorism Team operation named Operation Rising, which saw 200 officers' raid seven properties this morning. It is understood that police chose to execute the search warrants immediately because they "couldn't be sure that they [the arrested men] wouldn't act earlier." A young man from Narre Warren was also arrested and charged with weapon offenses, while two other men from the same suburb are currently in custody assisting police with enquiries. Patton confirmed that the arrested men were not related, but were "associates", and that some had attended the Al Furqan Islamic study center in South Springvale. But he insisted that "the individuals were acting by themselves and are not representative of any religious, cultural or national group." |

War against education |

[DAWN] THE political turmoil in Islamabad seems to have eclipsed all other crises in the country. Amongst these is the religious krazed killers' assault on education in Balochistan![]() ...the Pak province bordering Kandahar and Uruzgun provinces in Afghanistan and Sistan Baluchistan in Iran. Its native Baloch propulation is being displaced by Pashtuns and Punjabis and they aren't happy about it... , which is gaining ground. A school in Turbat, district Kech, was torched by an outfit calling itself 'Al Jihad' late on Monday. The forces of Evil left pamphlets in the area warning people not to send their children to English-medium schools and to only educate them at madressahs. The principal of the targeted school has said he had been receiving threats from unknown individuals for several months. This is far from the first incident of its kind in Balochistan. A school was set on fire by unknown assailants in Panjgur a few days ago while a number of educational institutions were attacked in the same district in May. At that time, a group calling itself Al Furqan al Islami had grabbed credit for the violence; then, too, the forces of Evil had issues with the teaching of English, while they also railed against coeducation. The attacks led to the lengthy closure of schools in the area while a number of parents reportedly relocated to Quetta and Bloody Karachi ...formerly the capital of Pakistain, now merely its most important port and financial center. Karachi's new terrorist groups
2012-01-08 | |
![]() ...formerly the capital of Pakistain, now merely its most important port and financial center. It may be the largest city in the world, with a population of 18 million, most of whom hate each other and many of whom are armed and dangerous... , during recent crackdowns. Most of them are linked to Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistain. "Militants linked with the TTP are increasingly moving to Bloody Karachi because of military operations and US drone strikes in the tribal areas," said Chaudry Aslam, head of the Anti-Extremism Cell (AEC) at CID Bloody Karachi. They get logistics and manpower support from the beturbanned goon organizations already established in the city. Such groups include the Punjabi Taliban, the Al Mukhtar group, Kharooj, Al Furqan, Badar Mansoor Group and Jundullah - all discovered within the past year.
Experts working on militancy related issues believe that Taliban splinter groups typically arise in two ways. "Some leaders abandon their groups to form their own outfits and develop direct links with the TTP and Al Qaeda," said Muhammad Amir Rana, director of the Pakistan Institute for Peace Studies (PIPS). "In other cases, new and very small operational cells are set up to carry out activities in a specific geographical location." The CID discovered the Al Mukhtar group in an April 26 raid by arresting a suspected key leader allegedly involved in a bomb blast in an illegal gambling den in Ghas Mandi area on April 21. The attack killed 22 people and injured dozen others. Recently, the CID has claimed to have arrested the group's Karachi head Asghar alias Umer, along with five other alleged militants. "Al Mukhtar group is basically a splinter cell of TTP's Badar Mansoor group deployed especially to Karachi," Aslam said. "Its main function is to collect extortion money, and carry out bank heists, abductions for ransom and terrorist attacks." Punjabi Taliban, another little-known militant outfit, mainly consists of students of Karachi's academic institutions, especially Karachi University (KU). The group was discovered after a bomb blast in KU on December 28, 2010 that injured four students of Shia group Imamia Students Organisation. Three Punjabi Taliban militants including its Karachi head Qari Shahid were killed on December 5 when police raided a house during the successful rescue of kidnapped local industrialist Riaz Chinoy. The CID arrested two members of the group on December 13 and recovered a hitlist with the names of more than 100 public figures. The militants were demanding Rs70 million in ransom, but came down to Rs20 million after negotiations, according to media reports. Qari Shahid's wife Sabiha Karim, an active member of the group, was also placed in durance vile. She confessed her group was involved in four major attacks in Bloody Karachi> - the May 22 attack on the PNS Mehran, the November 11, 2010 CID attack, the December 2010 kaboom at KU, and the February 2011 Chehlum blast," said a senior Police official. ![]() ... The Islamic Society, founded in 1941 in Lahore by Maulana Sayyid Abul Ala Maududi, aka The Great Apostosizer. The Jamaat opposed the independence of Bangladesh but has operated an independentbranch there since 1975. It close ties with international Mohammedan groups such as the Moslem Brotherhood. The Jamaat's objectives are the establishment of a pure Islamic state, governed by Sharia law. It is distinguished by its xenophobia, and its opposition to Westernization, capitalism, socialism, secularism, and liberalist social mores... (JI), after a disagreement with the JI leadership over 'Jihad', said a KU professor who is monitoring their activities on the campus. He said the men were inspired by Dr Akmal Waheed and Dr Arshad Waheed, and were resultantly expelled from the IJT. Qari Shahid had a Masters degree in Political Science from KU and was affiliated with IJT when he was a student. TTP-linked jihadi outfits and the banned Hizbut Tehrir are very active in Bloody Karachi's academic institutions. They try to attract IJT members with Jihadi literature and using other means, a former IJT activist in KU told TFT. He said there was no information about the size of the Punjabi Taliban, many of their members - including Zohair Imtiaz Kudwai, Omair Imtiaz Kudwai, Azib Imtiaz Kudwai, Misbah Usmani, Mohammad Shabbir and Imran Nazeer - were killed in drone attacks in the tribal areas. "Their alleged objectives include fighting against Pakistain's security forces and supporting the outlawed TTP." Chaudhry Aslam said the Punjabi Taliban group was also involved recruiting young boys for training of suicide kaboom in Wazoo. On June 26, the CID placed in durance vile Abdul Razzaq alias Omar and Rashid Iqbal alias Basit, two members of Punjabi Taliban assigned that task. They sent six teenage boys to Waziristan in 2009. Four of them were killed in a drone attack on the training camp, and the other two were sent back to Bloody Karachi. They were also placed in durance vile. Kharooj, another previously unknown group operating in Bloody Karachi, has also been recruiting young people, especially students, a CID officer told TFT, asking not to be identified. The group's leaders are hardcore faceless myrmidons who had separated from the TTP after disagreements with its leadership. Many of these groups are facing severe shortages of funds after the government's moves to cut off their foreign sources of funding, according to Aslam, and that is why there has been a surge in bank robberies and abductions for ransom. At least 18 banks were robbed in 2011, with a total of more than Rs60 million stolen, according to news reports. A TTP leader from the Mehsud area of South Waziristan said faceless myrmidons from tribal areas usually head to Bloody Karachi to seek shelter, for rest and recuperation, for medical treatment, and to receive funding. Although backed by the TTP with money and manpower, these groups are made up of 'locals', he said. A majority of them Urdu and Punjabi speaking youth formerly associated with the IJT or various Jihadi groups. Security experts believe smaller groups have better chances of survival as crackdowns by law enforcement agencies increase. Chaudhry Aslam claims he has broken their network by arresting their key leaders.

Al Qaeda's Summer Reruns |
2008-07-18 |
Al Qaeda and its video production group are also distributing reruns. At least twice this summer, al Qaeda's media arm As Sahab has reposted old videos on jihadist websites, without identifying them as reruns. The move signals a shift in al Qaeda's strategy, and a decline in the frequency and quality of its propaganda videos. Terrorism video experts point to the reruns as a change in focus among al Qaeda's leadership. Just last night As Sahab re-released its video "Windows of Paradise Part I." This time around, the video was translated into Urdu. In June, As Sahab re-posted an address from al Qaeda's number two man translated from its original Arabic into Urdu. Experts say these translations indicate al Qaeda's conscious effort to recruit Urdu-speaking Pakistanis. Al Qaeda leaders have long railed against Pakistani President Pervez Musharraf and the Pakistani government. In January, al Qaeda's Adam Gadahn called Musharraf one of the "world's worst dictators and tyrants," who "is holding on to power by the skin of his teeth." Last year, Osama bin Laden himself called for jihad against Musharraf. Terrorism video experts have also commented on the drop in jihadist propaganda frequency. As Sahab has rolled out very few original productions this summer compared to its almost weekly releases earlier this year. This summer, jihadist websites have also relied on video postings from other production companies like Al Fajr and Al Furqan. The decline in As Sahab videos has raised questions in some national security circles as to whether al Qaeda's media operations division has taken a hit. |

New video from Screech: "Happy Submission Day, kufrs!"
2007-07-04 | |
As Americans celebrate the 4th of July today, Al Qaeda's top deputy Ayman Zawahiri is appearing in a new internet video praising jihadi fighters in Iraq and elsewhere. Dressed in all white and sitting before a news studio background, Zawahiri warns Americans that "Today, the wind - by grace of Allah - is blowing against Washington." In the hour and half long video, which surfaced today on the website Strategic Translations, a translation and terror analysis firm, Zawahiri urges his followers to hurry to Iraq, Afghanistan, Palestine, and Somalia. He also offers a message of confidence to the jihadi fighters in prison saying that victory in Iraq and Afghanistan will come soon. "You must be patient and steadfast," he says. "Rejoice, for victory is near, with Allah's permission, and the herds of crusaders have begun to split up and their sole concern has become searching for a way out." Entitled "The Advice of One Concerned," the video has English subtitles and includes clips from other videos and news broadcasts, including one from Al Furqan, the video production arm of the Islamic State of Iraq. There is a brief clip of Thomas Kean, chairman of the 9/11 Commission, speaking about the security challenges facing the United States. Also appearing on the tape is a clip of Abdul al-Bari Atwan, the editor of a London-based Arabic newspaper. In the clip, from an appearance on an Arabic news channel, Atwan declares that al Qaeda has become stronger since the September 11th attacks and that is truly an international organization. The video does not reference the thwarted in attacks in London and Glasgow, but appears to be more of a 'state of the ummah' style address intended to try and provide advice to the Muslim world in a manner similar to the fireside chat. Zawahiri offers what he calls his "reflections" on the scene in Iraq, Egypt, Saudi Arabia and elsewhere. Sometimes using charts or referring to lengthy excerpts, including one from Bob Woodward's book "Plan of Attack," the video is part-seminar, part-call to jihad. At one point, Zawahiri even pauses to crack a joke about an article he read in an Egyptian newspaper that refers to a fax allegedly sent from a political prisoner there who renounces his extremist views from prison. "Do the prison cells of Egypt now have fax machines?" he asks disbelievingly, "and I wonder, are they connected to the same line as the electric shock machine or do they have a separate line?"

Al-Qaeda suicide bomber lived in the UK |
2005-06-22 |
AN AL-QAEDA suicide bomber lived in a terraced house in a British suburb before travelling to Iraq to blow himself up, police revealed yesterday. Detectives refused to name him but said he was a 41-year-old French national who died during an attack on coalition forces in February. The news of the bomber's link to Britain came as officers arrested an alleged associate of the man during a dawn raid on a house in Manchester. A suspect, 40, was held under the Terrorism Act and taken to a police station in Greater Manchester where he was being interviewed last night. Forensic experts carried out a search of the house, in the middle of a terrace in Moss Side, for clues about the other man's journey to the Gulf and his contacts. The two men, who are not believed to be related, were described by a police source as "associates" who had lived in the same house. Dave Whatton, an assistant chief constable with Greater Manchester Police, said yesterday's 5am raid had been carried out by the force's anti-terrorist unit. "The action was taken, as it was believed that one of the previous residents of the house may have died during an attack against coalition forces in Iraq in February 2005," he said. "Inquiries have been carried out in Iraq and the UK to establish the circumstances, and to positively identify the individual and the details surrounding his travelling to Iraq." Police stressed the operation was not connected to any terrorism activity in this country. "Since the beginning of the year, there has been a series of suicide bomb attacks against coalition forces in Iraq and it appears that one of the suicide bombers may have travelled from the UK," a spokeswoman said. After the raid, police issued leaflets to people in neighbouring houses and streets, explaining that the action followed an allegation that "an individual who once lived in the area was involved in a terrorist incident in Iraq earlier this year". The leaflets added: "There is nothing to indicate that at any time there has been any threat to the community of Greater Manchester." The raid, only 50 yards from the Al Furqan Islamic Centre, stunned neighbours. Andrew Holmes, 43, said: "What I heard first was 30 coppers or thereabouts making a lot of noise and kicking someone's front door in, next door but one. About half an hour later, someone was arrested. This was about 4:30am or 5am. "It was a well planned operation, with a lot of police in the vicinity blocking off streets and so on." He added: "I knew of the man but didn't really speak to him. He kept himself to himself. I certainly didn't know him well. He was an average-looking guy. I think he had lived there for about two years." An Iranian man, 33, who did not want to be named, said of the house targeted by police: "I think there are a couple of Arabic guys living there. I think they could have been Kurdish. They kept themselves to themselves." It is not the first time extremist Islamic terrorists have used Britain as a base before going on suicide missions. A British suicide bomber blew himself up outside a bar in Israel in April 2003. Asif Hanif, 21, from London, detonated a bomb strapped to his body in Mike's Place, a bar on the Tel Aviv seafront. Three people were killed and 60 injured. An accomplice, Omar Sharif, 27, from Derby, tried to blow himself up, too, but his device failed to detonate and he fled. His body was found in the sea 12 days later. Sharif's wife, sister and brother were put on trial at the Old Bailey in London accused of failing to disclose information to the authorities that could have prevented the act of terrorism. His wife was acquitted last year, but the jury failed to reach a verdict on the bomber's brother and sister. They face a retrial later this year. |

3 Bosnian charities supporting al-Qaeda
2004-05-07 | |
The U.S. Treasury Department accused three Bosnian charities of funneling money to al-Qaeda and froze their assets. ``Today's action continues the international drumbeat to expose the terrorist nodes used to support the infrastructure of hate,'' Juan Zarate, the Treasury Department's Deputy Assistant Secretary for the Executive Office of Terrorist Financing and Financial Crimes, said in a statement. The charities designated today were Al Furqan, the Al- Haramain & Al Masjed Al-Aqsa Charitable Foundation, and Taibah International-Bosnia branch. The assets of each that exist in the U.S. have now been frozen and the Treasury asked the United Nations to request its member countries do the same.
