[Garowe] Fresh Arclight airstrike ...KABOOM!... s were reported on Friday in southern Somalia as the Somali National Army (SNA), the US Africa Command, and the African Union ...a union consisting of 53 African states, most run by dictators of one flavor or another. The only all-African state not in the AU is Morocco. Established in 2002, the AU is the successor to the Organisation of African Unity (OAU), which was even less successful... Support and Stabilization Mission in Somalia (AUSSOM) work hard to dislodge the al-Shabaab ... the Islamic version of the old Somali warlord... murderous Moslems.
The murderous Moslems, who still dominate central and southern regions, have been subjected to persistent airstrikes in the country over the last few months, with the ground forces encountering the group in several frontlines where the group is a thorn in the flesh.
According to reports, at least two explosions from suspected airstrikes were reported on Friday evening in the vicinity of Basra, an al-Shabaab stronghold between Bal’ad and Afgoye, a resident said, without giving many details.
Before the airstrikes, witnesses said the area was lit with bright flares. It is not clear who staged the airstrikes, but the US Africa Command is known for such missions, but strictly does them in collaboration with the federal government of Somalia.
The airstrikes are important in curtailing the movements of the murderous Moslems, giving the ground forces a technical and logistical advantage in pursuing the murderous Moslems. The US Africa Command always conducts thorough investigations.
Besides the Command, Ottoman Turkish forces have also been instrumental in the fight against al-Shabaab murderous Moslems, helping the ground forces with airstrikes. The Ottoman Turkish drones are used to target al-Shabaab with close coordination from the Gorgor troops.
Several top leaders of the militant group Al-Shabaab were killed in overnight airstrikes carried out by U.S. military drones in parts of southern Somalia, Somali security officials have confirmed.
The strikes targeted areas in Lower Shabelle and Middle Juba regions, including the districts of Sablaale, Haaway, and Kunya Barrow. The operation was conducted using intelligence provided by Somalia’s National Intelligence and Security Agency (NISA), with close coordination between the Somali government and its international partners, particularly the United States.
Among those killed in the airstrikes were Hussein Fiidow, the head of Al-Shabaab’s political affairs; Abdicaziz Abu Musab, the group’s spokesperson for military operations; the group’s appointed governor for Lower Shabelle; its finance chief; and other senior commanders.
In addition to targeting leadership figures, the airstrikes destroyed an Al-Shabaab training camp, killing more than 100 fighters who were reportedly in training. Vehicles carrying explosives, allegedly intended for attacks in Mogadishu, were also destroyed in the attack.

A shocking incident has left four people, including two teenagers, hospitalised after a car ploughed into them following the celebration of Paris Saint-Germain's victory in the Champions League.
The horrifying event unfolded on Saturday, May 31, on Cours Jean-Jaurés in Grenoble, France, when a BMW 1 Series driver, speeding along the central tramway tracks towards Echirolles, attempted a handbrake U-turn at the intersection of Avenue Alsace-Lorraine.
Idiot.
In the process, he struck down four pedestrians:
Unexpectedly.
two lads aged 17 and two women, aged 23 and 46, all from the same family. The driver reportedly abandoned his motor and fled the scene, fearing retaliation from the crowd.
However, he handed himself over to the police a few minutes later and was promptly taken into custody. Two women and one of the teenagers sustained critical injuries, while the other teenager is believed to be less severely hurt.
Approximately 30 firefighters and a team from the emergency medical services (SAMU 38) were dispatched to the scene to assist the victims, reports the Mirror. All were treated and transported to the Grenoble Alpes University Hospital for further care.
"A vehicle apparently lost control, hitting four people, two of whom were seriously injured," Grenoble officials told the AfP agency.
Shocking videos of the aftermath showed large crowds of people standing around in horror as the four family members lay stricken on the ground. Others showed panicked PSG supporters running in terror from the incident.
Grenoble police officers faced hostility from groups throwing stones and bottles at them during their intervention. The police had to retaliate with tear gas grenades to push them back.
This early report says nothing about whether the driver is a jihadi or merely a dangerous idiot, but the hostile crowd thingy is very much a mark of Moslem colonists in French “suburb” enclaves. I know nothing about the Cours Jean-Jaurès area in Grenoble, but that’s my guess. Car-b-ques next?
Meanwhile, across France, football supporters have caused chaos for law enforcement, with around 300 arrests in Paris alone as celebrations turned to riots. Scores of vehicles were burned across the capital while crowds through objects and fireworks at police.
Interesting background from the Times of Israel at 9:20 a.m. EDT:
Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) supporters displayed a banner saying “Stop genocide in Gaza” during the soccer Champions League final on Saturday.
They raised it shortly after Achraf Hakimi opened the scoring in a 5-0 rout of his former side Inter Milan. Some PSG fans also held Palestinian scarves and flags during the game.
PSG fans are known for their anti-Israel stance regarding the war in Gaza. They previously displayed a giant banner saying “Free Palestine” in November during the Champions League match against Atlético Madrid.
The latest banner was likely to lead to disquiet among local German authorities in Munich. Munich’s city hall displays an Israeli flag as well as a Ukrainian one, and German support for Israel is strong for historical reasons.
PSG could also face a fine. UEFA bans the use of gestures, words, objects or any other means to transmit a provocative message that is judged not fit for a sports event, particularly provocative messages that are of a political, ideological, religious or offensive nature.
Financial penalties are typical for a first offense, usually 10,000 euros ($10,700) for a political banner or disturbances.
[NYPOST] Hateful anti-Israel propaganda has slipped into city Department of Education literature and schools at least five times in the past two months, The Post has learned.
In the latest instance, faculty members at a large Brooklyn elementary/middle school received an email Monday with the subject line: ''How Much Jewish Wealth From The Black Slave Trade Was Used To Help Create Israel?''
Among a dozen links to inflammatory texts, the email includes several articles branding Jews as former slave owners; a piece by Nation of Islam minister Louis Farrakahn claiming ''Jewish behavior has ill-affected Black people and others;'' and a Paleostinian children's workbook decrying ''bullies called Zionists.''
[IsraelTimes] Opposition-run municipalities raided amid widening measures against Istanbul mayor seen as Erdogan’s main political rival
Ottoman Turkish authorities ordered the detention of several opposition party members in Istanbul and raided opposition-run municipalities on Saturday, state media said, part of a widening legal crackdown against the opposition and the city’s placed in durance vile Drop the rosco, Muggsy, or you're one with the ages! mayor.
Istanbul Mayor Ekrem Imamoglu, who is also President Tayyip Erdogan’s main political rival and leads him in some polls, was placed in durance vile Drop the rosco, Muggsy, or you're one with the ages! in March pending trial over charges of corruption and aiding a terrorist group, all of which he denies.
The arrest of the mayor, from the main opposition Republican People’s Party (CHP), triggered mass protests, economic turmoil, and broad accusations of government influence over the judiciary and anti-democratic applications. The government denies this and says the judiciary is independent.
Since Imamoglu’s arrest, authorities have detained dozens of CHP members, officials from the Istanbul municipality, and other CHP-run municipalities. Access to Imamoglu’s X account was also blocked in The Sick Man of Europe Turkey ...a NATO ...the North Atlantic Treaty Organization. It's headquartered in Belgium. That sez it all.... member, but not the most reliable... this month.
On Saturday, the state-owned Anadolu news agency and private broadcaster NTV reported that detention warrants had been issued for 47 people in four separate graft investigations, with 28 of those being detained.
Among those detained was former CHP politician Aykut Erdogdu, the mayors of several districts in Istanbul, senior staff at the Istanbul municipality or institutions tied to it, and the mayors of two districts in the southern province of Adana, according to Anadolu.
It said police also searched the buildings of the Avcilar, Buyukcekmece, Gaziosmanpasa, Seydan, and Ceyhan municipalities, whose mayors were ordered detained as part of the probe.
In response to the new wave of detentions, the CHP called an emergency meeting in Istanbul, NTV reported.
Some Western countries, rights groups, and the CHP have said repeatedly that the operations are anti-democratic and aimed at quashing the opposition’s electoral prospects. Imamoglu and his CHP have said there is no concrete evidence against him.
Opinion polls show that popular support for Imamoglu has risen since his arrest, extending his lead over Erdogan and reinforcing the view that he would be Erdogan’s main rival in the next presidential election, not due until 2028.
[GEO.TV] At least two people were killed and six others injured in a kaboom near Nawan Killi, an area on the outskirts of the placid provincial capital Quetta, the police said on Saturday.
Rescue teams and law enforcement officials reached the scene immediately, while the injured were shifted to a nearby hospital.
The nature of the blast is yet to be determined as security forces cordoned off the area and launched an investigation.

[GEO.TV] Funeral prayers were offered on Saturday in Quetta for Additional Deputy Commissioner (Revenue) Hidayatullah Buledi, who was martyred in a terrorist attack at his residence in Surab, Balochistan ...the Pak province bordering Kandahar and Uruzgun provinces in Afghanistan and Sistan Baluchistan in Iran. Its native Baloch propulation is being displaced by Pashtuns and Punjabis and they aren't happy about it... Government front man Shahid Rind confirmed on Friday that ADC Buledi was fatally maimed in a shootout with armed gunnies at his home, where his family was also present.
A large number of citizens, along with Commissioner Naseerabad Moeenur Rehman, deputy commissioners, and other officials, attended the funeral.
After the prayers, a Levies contingent paid a formal salute to the fallen officer. Buledi's body had been flown in from Surab to Quetta by helicopter.
The assailants, reportedly in large numbers, looted and torched a local bank and at least six government offices, including official residences.
The Surab cop shoppe and the Levies post were also set ablaze, and four law enforcement vehicles were destroyed.
''This attack was carried out by proxies backed by India,'' Rind alleged, adding that security forces had reached the area and launched a clearance operation.
''The state will thwart all such conspiracies and uphold its authority,'' he said.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif issued a strong condemnation of the attack, describing it as a cowardly act of terrorism targeting innocent civilians, administrative officers, and public property.
[IsraelTimes] COGAT posts video of Gazan speaking out against Hamas; army reissues evacuation warning for Rafah, Khan Younis in southern Gaza
The Israeli Air Force struck dozens of targets in the Gazoo
...Hellhole adjunct to Israel and Egypt's Sinai Peninsula, inhabited by Gazooks. The place was acquired in the wake of the 1967 War and then presented to Paleostinian control in 2006 by Ariel Sharon, who had entered his dotage. It is currently ruled with a rusty iron fist by Hamas with about the living conditions you'd expect. It periodically attacks the Hated Zionist Entity whenever Iran needs a ruckus created or the hard boyz get bored, getting thumped by the IDF in return. The ruling turbans then wave the bloody shirt and holler loudly about oppression and disproportionate response... Strip throughout the weekend, including terror operatives and infrastructure used by Hamas ..not a terrorist organization, even though it kidnaps people, holds hostages, and tries to negotiate by executing them,... , the Israel Defense Forces said.
According to Hamas authorities in Gaza, 60 people were killed and dozens more were maimed in the strikes. The terror group’s figures do not differentiate between civilians and combatants.
The IDF said a dronezap on Friday in Gaza City’s Sabra neighborhood killed a prominent Hamas operative involved in manufacturing weapons, and in a separate incident on Friday, soldiers of the Paratroopers Brigade spotted a cell of four armed operatives and eliminated them. The paratroopers also located and destroyed several bombs that had been planted in their area of operations, the IDF added.
Meanwhile,
...back at the desert island, Irene was indignant at the thought of doing such a thing without benefit of clergy... rockets were launched from southern Gaza toward Israel on Saturday, setting off alarms in the border communities of Nirim and Ein Hashlosha, the military said. The rockets landed in open areas near the communities, and no injuries or damages were reported.
On Saturday evening, the IDF reissued a wide evacuation warning for the entire Rafah and Khan Younis area in the southern Strip. It called for Paleostinians residing in areas marked on a map in red to evacuate westward toward the Mawasi area on the coast. The latest order covers much of the same areas previously ordered to evacuate in March and earlier this month.
A MESSAGE TO GAZANS
On Saturday, the Defense Ministry’s Coordinator of Government Activities in the Territories (COGAT) issued a message to Gazooks after a video posted to social media on Friday showed a Paleostinian in the Strip criticizing Hamas leadership.
"Residents of Gaza, the Hamas leadership has sold you out. This is the same leadership that deceived you. Instead of focusing on caring for the civilian population, it abandoned its people, while big shots abroad indulge in luxury on airplanes, in hotels, and in restaurants," COGAT chief Maj. Gen. Ghassan Alian said in a Facebook post, where he attached an edited version of the social media video with subtitles. The full context of the clip was unclear.
Israel has been attempting to drive a wedge between Hamas and the Paleostinian civilian population in Gaza to weaken the terror group’s hold on the Strip.
On Friday, an Israeli defense official asserted that Hamas’s rule in Gaza was slipping as a new aid distribution system ramped up activities.
However,
there's more than one way to stuff a chicken... the new system, which is being run by the US-backed Gaza Humanitarian Foundation, has been criticized for not sufficiently addressing the population’s nutritional needs and for the chaos that has repeatedly erupted at its distribution points.
Paleostinian media reports on Saturday said over 100 UN World Food Programme trucks loaded with flour were looted in the Khan Younis area. According to the Ynet news site, the flour was only set to be distributed on Sunday. In video footage on social media, gunfire could be heard at the scene, but there were no immediate reports of injuries. A separate incident posted on social media appeared to show a crowd of Gazooks running toward a distribution site to grab boxes of aid.
…someone shouting, “Allahu akhbar,” not exactly the behaviour of grateful recipients of generosity…
A GHF spokesperson downplayed the footage, asserting that the scene was relatively calm and that a certain level of chaos is expected at the current time, due to the hunger levels in Gaza. According to the GHF, its contractors running the site allowed Paleostinians to take boxes themselves, while helping those in need, and the hope is to soon transition to a more orderly process when desperation in Gaza dies down.
