We, retired Command Sergeants Major of the Minnesota National Guard, feel it is our duty and responsibility to bring forth the truth as we know it concerning his service record. So, we have put together a timeline of his service post 9/11. To the best of our knowledge, this information is completely true, having been verified by all those who served in positions with first hand knowledge of the facts and circumstances of his service and departure from the Minnesota National Guard. Many of the dates and time frames are from his official discharge document and the reduction order reducing him to Master Sergeant.

Imagine this in the White House, given the world events unrolling around us now.
[WashingtonTimes] A federal court held the first hearing Tuesday in a $30 million wrongful death lawsuit brought by the estate of Ashli Babbitt, the woman who was rubbed out at the Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021.
U.S. District Court Judge Ana C. Reyes went over arcane pre-trial matters and scheduled September deadlines on motions and replies during a hearing that lasted roughly 40 minutes.
She urged counsel to get on the same page regarding how to procure and exchange pre-trial evidence, known as discovery, and warned of "consequences" if they did not.
While arcane in substance, the hearing was a notable milestone in the civil case emanating from Babbitt’s death. The suit alleges the U.S. government is responsible for wrongful death, assault, battery and negligence.
Babbitt, a 35-year-old Air Force veteran, died in the Capitol riot after she was shot by U.S. Capitol Police Lt. Michael Byrd near the floor of the House of Representatives.
The attack unfolded after then-President Donald Trump ...They hit him with slander, they impeached him twice. Nancy Pelosi tore up his State of the Union address on national TV. They stole an election and put his adherents in jail. They vilified him. They couldn't crucify him, so they shot him. Still, they can't keep him down... contested the 2020 election results and, in remarks near the White House, urged supporters to march to the Capitol to voice their objection to the certification of President Biden’s win.
The lawsuit says Babbitt traveled from San Diego, Caliphornia, an impregnable bastion of the Democratic Party,, to Washington in January 2021.
She attended Mr. Trump’s speech at the Ellipse near the White House before walking to the Capitol, entering the Senate side "long after others had done so" and being directed by Capitol Police to head to the House side, the civil complaint says.
Babbitt eventually made her way to the east entrance to the Speaker’s Lobby.
"After demonstrators filled the hallway outside the lobby, two individuals in the crowded, tightly packed hallway struck and dislodged the glass panels in the lobby doors and the right door sidelight," the lawsuit says. "Lt. Byrd, who is a USCP commander and was the incident commander for the House on January 6, 2021, shot Ashli on sight as she raised herself up into the opening of the right door sidelight."
The lawsuit says Babbitt was not armed and the police did not see her hands or know her intentions before shooting her.
The Capitol Police determined in 2021 that Lt. Byrd’s actions were "lawful and within department policy" and he would not face discipline.
The violence shocked the nation and spawned a second impeachment trial of Mr. Trump, who was acquitted by the Senate. He still faces criminal prosecution around his post-election actions, though the courts are navigating various legal issues around those cases.
Three other Trump supporters died during the Jan. 6 riot, two of heart attacks and one from a drug overdose.
Hours after clashing with rioters, Capitol Police officer Brian Sicknick died of a stroke, which the medical examiner deemed a death from natural causes. Scores of copperswere maimed, and four officers who responded to the onslaught later died by suicide.

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement issued a statement Tuesday about bringing back "free cell phone minutes" for detained illegal immigrants.
During the COVID-19 lockdowns, ICE provided 520 minutes per detainee per month during a pause in in-person visitation. The program, which cost taxpayers $10.2 million, was free to detainees, according to an ICE statement.
ICE resumed in-person visitation after "the end of the COVID-19 public health emergency."
"Significant fiscal challenges" forced ICE to end the cell phone minutes program. ICE stated it "would gladly reinstate the 520 minutes calling program with adequate appropriated funds."

The Trump campaign on Tuesday immediately tried to tag Walz as a far-left liberal. You left off the usual 'without evidence'. But you've memory-holed all the evidence.

All right, y'all, it's Tuesday night, and you know what that means. Primary time! This week, we have contests in four states: Kansas, Michigan, Missouri, and Washington.
I was secretly hoping that Kansas would have a lot of races to write about because I wanted to pepper them with references to Kansas the band in honor of my friend Kerry Livgren, one of the founding members. Kansas only has House and Senate races today, along with state legislative primaries, so it's probably for the best that I don't carry on past the point of know return.
Kansas has four congressional districts. Only in the 2nd District is there a Democrat primary; the other districts have Democrats running unopposed. On the GOP side, the 2nd District features a crowded field. I can't say who will win; after all, if I claim to be a wise man, it surely means that I don't know.
In Michigan, the Senate race includes heavy favorites in each party. Rep. Elissa Slotkin (D-Mich.) should walk away with the Democratic nomination, while Mike Rogers should handily win the GOP contest.
One of the most fascinating House races will be the 8th District, where a wide open field is attempting to fill the seat that Rep. Dan Kildee (D-Mich.) is vacating. The GOP is looking to flip the seat, while a tight race of Democrats will fight to keep the seat blue.
Missouri gives us a chance to knock off a member of the Squad; in the 1st District, Wesley Bell may end Rep. Cori Bush's (D-Mo.) career, which would be schadenfreudelicious. The state has several statewide races going on today as well.
Both parties' races for governor feature crowded fields with only two or three real contenders on either side. In the Senate primary, Sen. Josh Hawley (R-Mo.) runs unopposed, while a slew of Democrats are vying to unseat him. Progressive Lucas Kunce is the heavy favorite to win the Democratic primary.
Here's what's most interesting about Washington's primaries: the state does jungle primaries where the top two advance to the general election regardless of party affiliation. You can imagine how this will look in districts that favor one party heavily. In addition to House and Senate contests, Washington has several statewide races taking place today.
Polls close in Missouri at 8 p.m. Eastern. In Kansas and Michigan, most polls will close at 8 p.m. Eastern, although some close at 9 p.m. In Washington, polls close at 11 p.m. Eastern, but many of the votes will arrive by mail, which means that totals will be slower to come in.

*wouldn't matter if the truck is up on blocks, it is the suspension. Tool is in a slouch position, which means (if it isn't a green screen) he is at the furthest leverage position on the truck and his feet are off the ground. *I'm mixed. On one hand he has a really nice camera which can do things like optimal lighting and zero-shake, which with a foreshortened focal plane makes things look flat. On the other, if there is zero-shake there should be zero shake, the awkward posture and reading off of something doesn't make sense. Neither does absolutely nothing moving on the Colorado front range on a partial cloudy day.

I promised myself when I left the service to never stand in such long 'hurry up and wait' lines ever again.
Standing in line is sooo yesterday. Maybe we could do it like absentee voting where you drop off your "vote" in a bin and on Jane Fonda Day we deliver all the fluid at once.
I find it notable that @GovTimWalz was selected over @GovernorShapiro despite his importance to winning the PA vote, hours/days before Iran attacks Israel. Not a good look for the Democratic Party.
The timing and this decision are reminiscent of the @JoeBiden administration… leaking to the media that the U.S. is withholding weapons from Israel in the middle of a hostage negotiation.

America First Legal has sued Maricopa County Recorder Stephen Richer over not removing non-citizens from the county voter rolls.
On Monday, AFL filed a lawsuit against Richer, on behalf of Strong Communities Foundation of Arizona and a registered voter and naturalized citizen, for allegedly refusing to verify the citizenship of voters registered in the county.
AFL sent letters to all 15 Arizona counties on July 16, demanding county election officials follow state and federal law by ensuring non-citizens were unable to vote, warning that legal action would be pursued if they didn’t by the following week.
Richer replied through his attorney, claiming that he was following the law by verifying the citizenship of voters. However, AFL argues that Richer’s claim is false because county voter rolls have had an increase in the number of registered voters without confirmed citizenship while he has served in office, and that databases have not been accessed to verify voters’ citizenship.
AFL has sued Richer for allegedly violating state law by not performing the monthly list maintenance required to verify the citizenship status of registered voters who have not provided proof of citizenship.
In Arizona, registered voters without proof of citizenship can vote only in federal elections, not state elections.
The lawsuit alleges the number of registered voters without proof of citizenship has jumped from 21,595 in April to 26,108 in July.
“Maricopa County, in direct violation of state law, is refusing to remove illegal alien voters from the rolls," AFL President Stephen Miller said Tuesday.
