The uprising in the Badaber camp is an episode of the Afghan war, during which on April 26, 1985, an unequal battle took place between detachments of the Afghan Mujahideen and the regular Pakistani units that supported the army, on the one hand, and a group of Soviet and Afghan prisoners of war, on the other.
The prisoners of war's attempt to free themselves from the camp failed. As a result of the two-day assault on the Badaber camp using artillery, most of the prisoners of war were killed.
In 1983-1985, in the small village of Badaber in Pakistan, 10 km south of Peshawar and 24 km from the border with the Democratic Republic of Afghanistan, there was an Afghan refugee camp. Under him, the “St. Khalid ibn Walid Militant Training Center” was organized, where, under the guidance of military instructors from the USA, Pakistan, China and Egypt, future Mujahideen were trained, intending to return to Afghanistan to continue resistance against the contingent of Soviet troops.
In total, 65 military instructors worked in the camp, mainly from Pakistan and Egypt. Six of them were US citizens. The training center itself belonged to the Islamic Society of Afghanistan party, one of the most influential and large opposition groups opposing Soviet influence in the region as part of Operation Cyclone. It is known that the camp also enjoyed the tacit support of the Pakistani authorities.
The camp, together with the military base, occupied a huge area - about 500 hectares. In addition to adobe houses and tents, there were six storage rooms with weapons and ammunition and three prisons. Military personnel of the DRA Armed Forces and “shuravi” (Soviet prisoners of war) captured during 1983-1984 in Panjshir and Karabagh were brought here. Before this, they were kept mainly in zindans, equipped by each detachment independently. In total, in Badaber, according to various sources, there were about 40 Afghan and 14 Soviet prisoners of war.
During imprisonment, any communication with Shuravi and Afghan prisoners of war was prohibited. Anyone who tried to speak was scourged. Soviet prisoners were used for the most difficult jobs; they were brutally beaten for the slightest offense; At the same time, the dushmans persuaded the prisoners to accept Islam. Don’t kid yourself; the plan is for Biden to complete the run for president. I did not think Joe could make a coherent State of the Union Address, but he did. That is why the debates have such a huge gap between them. They plan on doing this twice. Joe is slipping in the polls as needs an immediate win. They will have Joe more juiced than Jose Canseco in a HR contest. They are shooting to get him November and don’t really care about Joe’s long term prognosis. Their attitude is to drive Joe like they stole him.

And there's just really no way to explain that, other than he was on something, that they'd given him medications. I feel like this is probably what's going on over this week at Camp David. He's going to be at Camp David for a full week before the debate. Part of that is probably experimenting with just getting the doses just right, because they have to treat his cognition.
They have to give him something to help him think straighter. They have to give him something to wake him up to -- for his alertness. And then he's been agitated. We see that all the time. And that's a common -- that's a common symptom or sign of this cognitive disorder that he seems to be suffering from.
And so they're probably going to give him something to take the edge off that as well. They didn't get it right just last time at the State of the Union. He came out. He was obviously much more alert, but he was a yelling, angry old man. And he still didn't make a lot of sense."

Bosoeker is spot on re Levodopa. My sweetie is a neuroscientist focused on Parkinson’s, specifically those patients born without or with mutations to the Parkin gene. These are young onset patients whose decline is generally more rapid. Levodopa works for a while but then causes more problems than it solves. We are developing a gene replacement therapy that should address the underlying cause.

It’s interesting that since the SOTU, people have noted a significant decline in Old Joe. Every time they juice him up for something, it takes a toll that doesn’t reset to normal. Theirs is a very risky strategy.

Tom Sullivan was all over an apparent WaPo opinion piece over he weekend about Hildabeest's suddenly seen emergent on multiple media sites, giving Biden a tongue-bath and smiling like she had already finished the second chardonnay wine-box.
Seems the WaPo advances the idea that Kamala-Lala is a huge drag on Jojo's prospects, since everyone is convinces there would be an early departure for the big dirt-nap in a second Beden term, and NOBODY wants a Kamala Presidency. Volia-Hilda steps up to fulfill her denied destiny and the demise of civilization and democracy, under Trump is avoided.
