Three men fought public schools in court for their free speech. They didn't survive.
[JustTheNews] Shawn McBreairty's lawyer says one of the last things he told him: "Why do they get to lie and cheat and we have to play by the rules?"

Mike Adams. Richard Bilkszto. Shawn McBreairty.

Three men in their prime, ages 53 to 60, died by their own hands in the past four years amid high-profile litigation to protect their speech critical of progressive education practices, showing the potential human toll of prolonged uphill battles against publicly funded institutions.

Afghanistan
Al Qaeda chief invites foreign fighters to train in Afghanistan, target West: 'Safe haven for terrorists'
[FoxNews] Al Qaeda’s leader in Afghanistan, Saif al-Adl, issued a call to foreign fighters around the world to migrate to Afghanistan and join the ranks of the jihadi terror group.

A new report in the Foundation for the Defense of Democracies’ Long War Journal highlights the call from al-Adl and is so far the clearest indication from al Qaeda for foreigners to come to Afghanistan since the Taliban regained control of Kabul in 2021.

Bill Roggio, senior fellow at the Foundation for Defense of Democracies and editor of the Long War Journal, told Fox News Digital that this message officially pronounces Afghanistan as a safe haven for terrorists.

"Al-Qaeda is firmly ensconced in Afghanistan, and has established training camps in 10 provinces, as well as religious schools, safe houses, a weapons depot, and a media operations center … al-Qaeda is telling us it plans to use this terror infrastructure to attack the West," he warned.

The terror group has established these terrorist training camps across Afghanistan’s 34 provinces, including in Panjshir, once the center of anti-Taliban resistance. The United Nations estimates al Qaeda has around 600 members in its ranks, but Roggio believes that the official estimates of their strength over the years have been consistently low.

"Al Qaeda’s infrastructure and safe haven within Afghanistan gives the terror group the opportunity to capitalize on Adl’s call for its supporters to migrate to the country," Roggio and co-author Caleb Weiss wrote in their report.

Adl recently released a pamphlet titled "This is Gaza: A War of Existence, Not a War of Borders," which exploits the anger over Israel’s war in Gaza to encourage people to gain training, experience, and knowledge about how to carry out attacks against "Zionist" and Western targets.

Adl’s pamphlet states "the continuation of the genocide in Gaza calls for the Islamic peoples to strike all Zionist interests (both Western and Jewish) in all Islamic lands." The appropriate response, according to Adl’s vision, are tragedies such as the 9/11 and Oct. 7 terrorist attacks, taking the fight to the enemy. The report also notes that Adl praises and encourages homegrown terrorism within Western countries which act as a deterrent force in domestic territories.

The reality that al Qaeda is championing Afghanistan as a ground to stage terrorist attacks on the West over 20 years after 9/11 is not a surprise to many observers of the region.

"The fact that al Qaeda leaders are now calling for foreign fighters to come to Afghanistan substantially increases the odds of foreign fighters heading there. This development will be unsurprising for hawks who warned about the dangers of withdrawing from Afghanistan," Max Abrahms, terrorism expert and professor of political science at Northeastern University, told Fox News Digital.

Adl envisions Afghanistan as a model for Muslims around the world to settle in and holds up the Taliban as a model of Islamic governance for future Islamic states to emulate. Many observers and policymakers assessed that al Qaeda’s focus would remain on local affairs in Afghanistan and other countries the group operated in. The latest call from Adl contradicts these claims and shows that al Qaeda is looking beyond Afghanistan’s borders with ambitions to target the West.

A United Nations report in February 2023 noted that Adl became al Qaeda’s third emir, replacing Ayman al-Zawahiri, who succeeded Usama bin Laden and was killed in a U.S. drone strike in 2022. Adl’s leadership differs from bin Laden and Zawahiri as he served in the Egyptian army, bringing with him more military experience than his predecessors. He left Egypt to join the mujahideen and fight off the Soviet invasion and occupation of Afghanistan in the 1980s. He later went on to join al Qaeda after it was established in 1988 and helped plot major international terrorist attacks, including the suicide bombings at the U.S. embassies in Kenya and Tanzania in 1998.

The 2020 Doha Agreement, negotiated under former President Trump and implemented by President Biden, laid the groundwork for the withdrawal of all U.S. forces in exchange for a pledge from the Taliban to prevent any terrorist organization from using Afghan soil to threaten or attack the United States or its allies. It was never clear at the time whether the Taliban would ever formally sever its longstanding ties with al Qaeda.

The U.S. Intelligence Community Annual Threat Assessment states that while al Qaeda has reached an operational nadir in Afghanistan and Pakistan, its "regional affiliates on the African continent and Yemen will sustain the global network as the group maintains its strategic intent to target the United States and U.S. citizens."

Africa Subsaharan
African offensive. The results of Lavrov and Yevkurov’s tour alarm the West
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
by Viktor Vasiliev

[REGNUM] Russia's African offensive is exactly how Western media assessed the tour of Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and Deputy Defense Minister Yunus-Bek Yevkurov to Africa. In reviews of Western media one can find the following descriptions: “Russia is using its limited resources to challenge the US and EU for influence on the Dark Continent, creating threats to NATO’s southern flank.” Indeed, the Foreign Minister’s African tour was unexpected not only in content and route, but also in format. The fact is that it was largely complemented and overlapped with the African tour of the Deputy Minister of Defense taking place on the same days, but with a slightly different geography. For the first time in history, Russian official diplomacy in Africa acted in conjunction with military diplomacy represented by the Russian Defense Ministry.

Fifth Column
Ford Foundation funding Moslem radicals
[NYP] It’s November 2023, and, following the Oct. 7 attacks by Hamas terrorists that killed some 1,400 Israelis and at least 31 Americans, thousands of demonstrators march through New York City, calling for the destruction of the Jewish state.

Chants of "from the river to the sea, Palestine will be free" echo through the streets, along with: "There is only one solution: intifada revolution."

Among the crowd is the infamous Palestinian American activist Linda Sarsour, who warns through a megaphone that a cabal of wily Jews has conspired to place "their little posters" (of kidnapped Israeli civilians) across the city, seeking to entice people to rip them down.

While many onlookers might look like "ordinary people," she says, the Jews have "their little people all around the city," surveilling others.

Sarsour is there to deliver such rhetoric in part because she’s been paid to be there. Her nonprofit, MPower Change, has received $300,000 in grant funding from the Ford Foundation "to build grassroots Muslim power."

It’s May 2023, and protesters have stormed the Capitol building in Washington, DC, to demand that lawmakers not accept spending cuts during negotiations to lift the debt ceiling. Many are so disruptive that the police arrest them and drag them out.

These are activists of the Center for Popular Democracy, an extreme left-wing organization that has collected $35.2 million from the Ford Foundation since 2012.

Four months later they will be imitated by 150 youth activists from “climate revolution” group the Sunrise Movement, 18 of whom will be arrested after occupying the speaker of the House’s office.

The Sunrise Movement also receives Ford Foundation money — $650,000 for “training and organizing.”

NO CAUSE OFF-LIMITS
It’s April 2023, and, a world away, the China Development Research Foundation (CDRF), a think tank set up and directed by the Chinese state, is hosting a conference in Beijing to discuss how to “promote the formation of an internationally accepted ESG system with Chinese characteristics,” including through China’s globe-spanning influence and infrastructure plan, the Belt and Road Initiative.

But this effort by America’s top geopolitical adversary isn’t too far afield for the Ford Foundation to fund; it has given CDRF $600,000 to help realize its ambitions.

These examples from just the past year — collected via a semi-random tour of the Ford Foundation’s vast Grants Database — represent a tiny fraction of the nearly $1 billion that the foundation gives away yearly on average.

Almost a century old and sitting on a mountainous $16.4 billion endowment in 2022, the foundation is a “philanthropic” giant — one of the five largest in the US

If it were a for-profit firm, its market capitalization would rank it among the Fortune 500.

Instead, “guided by a vision of social justice,” as its mission statement puts it, the Ford Foundation’s enormous flood of untaxed money flows annually to an immense ecosystem of overwhelmingly left-wing — and often outright revolutionary — causes.

Pashto drama artist Khushboo Khan shot dead in Nowshera
[GEO.TV] Pashto drama and stage artist Khushboo Khan's body was found in crop fields in the Wapda Colony area of Nowshera District after she was fatally shot by two men, police said on Monday.

The Akbarpura police started the paperwork but haven't done much else of murder against the two suspects, Shaukat son of Gul Muhammad and Falak Niaz son of Dilbar, nominated by the complainant, who is the brother of slain actor.

The police said they launched a search operation for the arrest of the suspects, one of whome had been previously booked for the alleged murder of another woman belonging to the acting industry.

According to the First Information Report, victim’s brother alleged that the suspects killed Khushboo due to failure in forcing her to work only in the events organised by them and should not attend any other event and also leave the industry.

As Khushboo declined to agree to their terms, the suspects lured her into a party at their place and murdered her there.

Meanwhile,
...back at the dirigible, the pilot and the copilot had both hit the silk.

Jack! Cynthia exclaimed. Do you know how to drive one of these things?

Jack wiped some of the blood from his knuckles.

No, he said. Do you?...

Akhbarpura Station House Officer (SHO) Niaz Muhammad Khan said that the police suspected that Khushboo was brought to the said event, where both the suspects were present, and that she was murdered at some other place and then her body was dumped into the fields.

As per the police findings, the suspects allegedly use the houses for such crimes.

Nowshera District Police Officer (DPO) Azhar said that they had collected evidence and launched investigations into the matter. He said that the body was handed over to the family after post-mortem.

The official further stated that the police will trace the suspects through modern methods of investigation such as geo-fencing.

Of historic interest, as seen in a Wikipedia article about prison colonies:
Following Alexander the Great's conquest of modern day Afghanistan and Pakistan, the Greco-Bactrian Kingdom was used as a penal colony.[21] Today, 18% of the population of Peshawar has Greek genetic markers.[22]

Israel-Palestine-Jordan
Correspondence reveals: Yahya Sinwar on Gaza civilian casualties: 'Necessary sacrifices'
[IS National News] The Wall Street Journal on Monday night revealed damning correspondence between Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar and his closest associates in the terror organization.

Sinwar has for months refused to agree to a ceasefire-prisoner swap deal that does not include a complete end to the war and a withdrawal of the IDF from Gaza - two conditions which would leave Hamas in power and able to regroup, and which would allow the terror group to fulfill its promise of carrying out repeat "October 7th" massacres in the future.

Behind this refusal, WSJ noted, "is a calculation that more fighting—and more Palestinian civilian deaths—work to his advantage."

The site noted that "in dozens of messages" Sinwar has "shown a cold disregard for human life and made clear he believes Israel has more to lose from the war than Hamas." The messages were shared by multiple people with differing views of Sinwar.

In a recent message to Hamas officials seeking to broker a prisoner swap agreement, Sinwar wrote, "We have the Israelis right where we want them."

In another message to Hamas leaders in Doha, Sinwar described civilian deaths in Gaza as "necessary sacrifices."

Regarding Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, he claimed - back in 2018 - that "a victory would be even worse than a defeat." He also said that, "We make the headlines only with blood. No blood, no news."

Sinwar also promised his underlings that, "Israel's journey in Rafah won't be a walk in the park."

And in an April 11 letter to Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh, following the deaths of three of Haniyeh's sons, Sinwar wrote that those deaths and others "infuse life into the veins of this nation, prompting it to rise to its glory and honor."

White House officials consider separate deal to free U.S. hostages
[JNS] A unilateral deal to free the five Americans being held by the terror group is a "very real option," according to senior U.S. officials.

The Biden administration has talked about negotiating a unilateral deal for the release of five Americans held hostage by Hamas in Gaza, NBC News reported on Monday.

The talks wouldn’t include Israel and would take place via Qatari mediators, two current senior U.S. officials and two former ones told NBC.

One of the current officials called it a "very real option."

The five American hostages were abducted on Oct. 7 when the terror group invaded Israel. They are Edan Alexander, Sagui Dekel-Chen, Hersh Goldberg-Polin, Omer Neutra and Keith Siegel.

Three other U.S. hostages are believed to have been killed that day, with their remains being held by Hamas. America wants to recover their bodies as well.

Cover-Up Underway After Journalist Is Found Holding Israeli Hostages in His Gaza Home
[WJ] The credibility of the Palestinian media has taken yet another hit with a truly horrifying discovery that was made in the home of one Palestinian journalist.

This journalist had contributed to the Qatari-controlled media outlet Al Jazeera and U.S.-based The Palestinian Chronicle, and both outlets have desperately been trying to cover up their connection to him.

Abdullah Al-Jamal was one of many civilian Hamas operatives neutralized by the Israeli Defense Forces in a weekend rescue mission in Gaza.

As reported in the Jewish Chronicle, when the IDF raided Al-Jamal’s home, they found three hostages — Almog Meir, Andrey Kozlov and Shlomi Ziv — that he had been keeping in his home.

The 36-year-old journalist, his wife, Fatima, and his father, Dr. Ahmed Al-Jamal, were killed during the rescue mission, and his daughter Zainab, 27, was injured by the gunfire.

Dr. Itai Pessach of Sheba Medical Center outside Tel Aviv told CNN

that the hostages suffered almost daily abuse and that their time in captivity was "a harsh, harsh experience."

"Every hour, both physical, mental, and other types, and that is something that is beyond comprehension," Pessach said.

Noa Argamani, Shlomi Ziv, Almog Meir Jan, and Andrey Kozlov were rescued on Saturday from eight months of Hamas captivity in Gaza in a daring operation by Israeli forces.

According to CNN, Pessach said the eight months the hostages spent in Hamas captivity "left a significant mark on their health," despite their outward appearance of being in good shape.

"They had no protein, so their muscles are extremely wasted, there is damage to some other systems because of that," he said, adding that the hostages had said the supply of food and water varied, and that they were moved a few times and dealt with different guards.

"There have been periods where they got almost no food whatsoever," Pessach said. "There were other periods where it was a little better, but all in all, the combination of the psychological stress, malnutrition or not getting enough food or not getting the right kind of food, medical neglect, being limited to space, not seeing the sun and all of the other things have [a] significant effect on health."

Blinken emphasised post-war Gaza plan in Netanyahu meeting
[GEO.TV] US Secretary of State Antony Blinken
...71st United States secretary of state and a leading light of the corrupt and inept Biden administration. He previously served as deputy national security advisor from 2013 to 2015 and deputy secretary of state from 2015 to 2017 under the corrupt and inept Obama administration. He advocated for the 2003 invasion of Iraq while serving as the Democratic staff director of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee from 2002 to 2008. He was a foreign policy advisor for the Biden 2008 presidential campaign. During his tenure in the Obama administration, Blinken helped craft B.O.'s policy on Afghanistan, Pakistan, and the nuclear program of Iran. We all saw how well each of those worked. After leaving government service, Blinken moved into the private sector, co-founding WestExec Advisors, a lobbying firm...
emphasised the importance of a post-conflict plan in Gazoo
...Hellhole adjunct to Israel and Egypt's Sinai Peninsula, inhabited by Gazooks. The place was acquired in the wake of the 1967 War and then presented to Paleostinian control in 2006 by Ariel Sharon, who had entered his dotage. It is currently ruled with an iron fist by Hamas with about the living conditions you'd expect. It periodically attacks the Hated Zionist Entity whenever Iran needs a ruckus created or the hard boyz get bored, getting thumped by the IDF in return. The ruling turbans then wave the bloody shirt and holler loudly about oppression and disproportionate response...
in a meeting on Monday with Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu, the State Department said.

Blinken also stressed the importance of preventing the conflict from spreading, it said: "He reiterated that the (ceasefire) proposal on the table would unlock the possibility of calm along Israel’s northern border and further integration with countries in the region."

Did Gazan who held Israeli hostages work for Al Jazeera and US-based charity?
[Jpost] Abdallah Aljamal, who worked for the Palestine Chronicle, a pro-Hamas outlet led by ex-Al-Jazeera official Ramzi Baroud, was later confirmed by the IDF to be a Hamas activist.

#1  However, further research has shown that Aljamal worked for the Palestine Chronicle, a pro-Hamas outlet led by ex-Al-Jazeera official Ramzi Baroud, operating under the auspices of the People Media Project, a 501(c)3 organization registered since 2012 in Olympia, Washington State, whose IRS filings were not found online.

Syria-Lebanon-Iran
Franjieh suggests voting for him or for Geagea in presidential election
[An Nahar] Marada Movement

chief Suleiman Franjieh has called for "accepting the principle of dialogue and agreeing on a full package" or "going to elections between the two main political camps in the country," noting that he and Lebanese Forces

would represent the two camps in such an election.

"We would congratulate the winner," he added, noting that such an approach would "restore the prestige of the presidential vote, the presidential race and the presidency itself."

As for the characteristics of the next president, Franjieh said the new president should "respect the Taif Accord, protect the constitution, openly cooperate with the prime minister and consult with the parliament speaker on a constant basis."

"The president’s strength has never been related to his broad popular representation, but rather to his political presence and ability to represent a national political choice, to leave behind his political alignment after being elected, and to play the role of an arbitrator in the Lebanese political equation," the Marada chief added.

"The president is not required to be an economist but rather a believer in the free economic system, a guarantor of a political settlement that would revive the economic cycle, and a protector of structural economic and financial reforms through a fair and independent judiciary," Franjieh went on to say.

Bassil seeking to create 'third electoral force'
[An Nahar] Free Patriotic Movement
Despite its name a Christian party allied with Hizbullah, neither free nor particularly patriotic...
chief Jebran Bassil is seeking to create a so-called "third parliamentary force" that would elect a new president, media reports said.

"Bassil wants this parliamentary force to turn into a kingmaker in the negative parliamentary equation, after he paved the way for it by holding both the Lebanese Forces

and Hezbollah responsible for the delay in launching dialogue and electing a new president," ad-Diyar newspaper reported on Monday.

"Bassil is seeking to publicly promote a third candidate and it is not unlikely that he might delve into names and propose two or three candidates to the political forces," the daily quoted highly-informed sources as saying.

"The exit that Bassil is proposing for the pre-elections consultations obstacle is that the Lebanese Forces’ participation in them is not necessary, seeing as the FPM will be the representative of Christian forces in the consultations session," ad-Diyar said.

The FPM would "agree on one or two candidates with the forces that are rejecting consultations before bringing the names to the table," the newspaper added.

Al-Jadeed television meanwhile quoted sources as saying that Bassil is "seeking to sway a number of blocs, topped by the Democratic Gathering, the National Moderation bloc and independents, in an attempt to bring the number to 65 MPs with the aim of bypassing the (currently) proposed names, topped by (Marada Movement
