His "widow" Angelina Varyukhina was already planning to get a divorce — the divorce proceedings were scheduled for the end of March.
The court found out that after the wedding in 2024, Varyukhina quickly switched to another life — parties, boyfriends, gifts, intimacy in stories. There was no shared life with her husband, and no children either.
As a result, the court recognized the marriage as fictitious and gave compensation not to her, but to the mother of the deceased. This is the first such case in Russia.
P.S. In the spring, a campaign was also launched to combat fictitious marriages with the aim of receiving payments for the injury and death of fighters in the SVO zone. The decision to transfer the money to the mother is certainly correct.
