I wanted to talk to you about your submission for tomorrow, and why we will not be using it.
This one, to be precise, which you submitted under the headline UK gets serious about cracking down on antisemitic white supremacist terrorism:
First of all, congratulations on mastering a technique that had frustrated you — well done! Climbing a learning curve is always something to be proud of.
The reason it is rejected is as follows:
What you submitted a meme, which would normally go in Page 4: Opinion, not Page 2: War on Terror Background/Politics; it’s not new information. The image is undated and has no link to the original document, so while it is consistent with other things we have seen and discussed over the years, we have no idea whether it is real or made up. As an illustration of a point made by something traceable it would be fine, but it has no value for us on its own — and I don’t see how it supports the headline that the Brits are cracking down on a specific category of Jew haters, since the Labour government actually supports Jew and Israel haters, even the ones not of colour or Moslem colonists.
