[Regnum] Claims of a hostile alien ship approaching Earth are not true. According to Oxford University astronomer Professor Chris Lintott, the object in question is a comet.
In an interview with REN TV, Lintott noted that Harvard astrophysicist Avi Loeb, who announced the discovery of a “ship” of extraterrestrial origin, is “talking nonsense.”
As reported on July 25 by the New York Post, Harvard astrophysicists have discovered an object in space called 3I/ATLAS, which could be a ship of hostile aliens. The article specified that the collision of this object with Earth could occur as early as November.
Earlier, CNN reported that a possible collision of asteroid 2024 YR4 with the Moon poses a threat to space satellites, astronauts and infrastructure on the Earth's satellite. The probability of a collision of an asteroid the size of a building with the Moon is 4.3%. According to Paul Wiegert, a professor of astronomy and physics at the University of Western Ontario, the collision has virtually no consequences for the inhabitants of Earth.
