California senate has passed SB549 granting LA county authority to purchase fire destroyed lots for minimal cost |

…stolen by Gavin Newsom and Karen Bass “If this passes, a lot of land grab can actually happen. This bill creates a resilient Rebuilding authority or RRA which is unelected board and it's run by a state picked administrator. So that means that us locals are not going to be able to vote for whoever runs this. It will be picked by the state government. This RRA authority can actually buy burned lots at fair value. It can hold them and resell them in the future or can also swap them into local projects. Now if they decide to swap those into public projects, 40% of those have to be for low income housing. Now if this passes, the RRA then can completely change the zoning for the Pacific Palisades. So that means that the single family streets can now turn into low income high density apartments in Pacific Palisades. So I'm afraid to say that I don't think if this passes, Pacific Palisades will never be the same. Now what do you guys think?” Related: Pacific Palisades: 2025-06-07 Good Morning Pacific Palisades: 2025-06-07 Almost Like It's A Plan-RED TAPE: Hundreds of Residents of Pacific Palisades Choose to Sell Their Homes Rather Than Rebuild After Fires Pacific Palisades: 2025-05-26 A Fire Aid Benefit Concert held on January 30, 2025, raised an estimated $100 million to support residents of Pacific Palisades”. #14 I remember when it was time to study Nero that burning down Rome to acquire property for vanity projects was a wild, out there theory. Be absolutely wild if his next podcast he blames Christians. Do it you coward! |

#12 Government overreach is an extremely generous assessment of what's happening here. Anyone with any brains must suspect a criminal conspiracy to start fires, let the fires burn and then buy up burned out lots at bargain basement prices. After all this time they still can't tell us how the fires got started. But they didn't really have to start the fires. They knew that fires would happen all the time they were neglecting the lack of resources to fight fires. They had to know that sooner or later something like the Pacific Palisades fire was bound to happen and they were totally unprepared for it. And any time you ever hear a California politician talking about "low income" or "affordable" housing you know it's a damn lie. How do I know this? Easy. They've been talking about the need for more affordable housing for the past half century at least and building as much as they can as fast as they can all that time but the cost of housing now is exponentially higher than it was when this scam started. That's proof positive that affordable housing in coastal California will always be as scarce as unicorns. This is prime real estate so it's supposed to be expensive and if you can't afford it that's tough. Buy your house somewhere else. The politicians and their developer buddies know this but they get rich while turning nice neighborhoods into slums. The only way to make coastal southern California affordable for all the people all over the world who want to live here is to turn it into the kind of a slum where nobody wants to live. Well, it seems that Newsom and the Democrats are determined to do just that. They know that slum dwellers are more likely to vote Democrat and that's what this is all about. |

#10 Fair Market Value. That's going to be a rock they kick down the road to another generation to end up paying after the legal dust settles. |

#9 Under 10 years, absolutely. I bet they have somebody's cousin's on-site instant environmental test company hired, the scraping company on retainer, the permits wrote, and the political donations going on for construction as we sip coffee. Imagine being one of the few who got through somehow and rebuilt your nice house, and being surrounded by Commieblocks. It'll be sold as The City of Next Tuesday, but you know what is going to happen. |

#3 You knew this was coming. With the land comes control and the erosion of individual liberty and freedom. The World Economic Forum's collective' dream. The Euro governance and oppression the Pilgrims hoped to avoid by coming here, has followed them. "You'll own nothing and you'll be happy" is a phrase published by the World Economic Forum (WEF). The phrase is based on a 2016 essay by Ida Auken of Denmark, published by the WEF, about a future in which a hypothetical person relies on the sharing economy for many of their needs. The phrase has been used by critics who accuse the WEF of desiring restrictions on ownership of personal property. |

#1 Commie Bass and Commie Newsom; this was obvious from the get go. Both should be jailed at the very least. |
