…especially given the devastation. Hundreds of game wardens, state troopers, and National Guard all RAPIDLY deployed. And they’re doing a fantastic job. They’re working around the clock, and they will NOT stop until everyone is accounted for, @GregAbbott_TX says. They're just doing that to make California look bad. |

#4 NWS issued Flood Watch in plenty of time. Flood Warnings were a bit late but that is because these are based on observations. Also, flood warning have to be heard and if you aren't on line (which many campers weren't) you aren't going to hear them. |

#2 Coming back from Rockport yesterday, we overtook a Texas Highway Patrol convoy heading north on the road between Victoria and Cuero: two inflatable launches on trailers and several patrol SUVs. We presume they were heading north to assist. My daughter is supervising the resale of a property in Kerrville, and has been going there every week for a couple of months - she knows the area passingly well. The flood just came out of nowhere, without warning, in a matter of a few hours. |

#1 I looked at some precip data. Several stations had over 10" and some even had over 15" in 48 hours. |
