[YouTube] Two tankers (Front Eagle and Adalynn) are seen on fire in the Gulf of Oman near Iran, likely a collision rather than Iranian involvement.
[MarineTraffic] Two crude oil tankers, Adalynn and Front Eagle, collided near Khor Fakkan anchorage on Monday evening 16 June 2025 at 21:14 UTC. According to MarineTraffic data, the Libyan-flagged vessel Front Eagle was loaded and bound for Zhousan, China. Adalynn, flagged to Antigua Barbuda and built in 2002, had just departed the anchorage with ballast when the collision occurred a short time later, about 24 miles off the UAE coast. At 01.51 UTC today, Front Eagle changed her status to Not Under Command. Adalynn is stopped at Fujairah anchorage since 21:48 UTC yesterday. UAE Coast Guard has confirmed the incident. All 24 crew members of the Adalynn were also reported to have been rescued. Initial reports indicated that a third ship was also involved. MarineTraffic playback shows that only these two vessels were involved in the collision. | |
