[Regnum] On November 11, Rostec State Corporation CEO Sergei Chemezov announced the transfer of a new batch of fifth-generation Su-57 aircraft and 4++ generation Su-35S multirole fighters by the United Aircraft Corporation (UAC) to the Russian Ministry of Defense.
"The Su-57, together with the Su-34, Su-35S and other aircraft, are the wings of our victory that the aircraft manufacturing enterprises of Rostec provide to the army on time and with high quality. By the way, the world premiere of the Su-57 in the export version will take place in China in a few days. I am sure that our foreign colleagues will also appreciate the fighter," the UAC press service quoted Chemezov as saying.
He called the Su-57 the only fifth-generation fighter that has proven its breakthrough characteristics in all combat scenarios. As the head of Rostec noted, the Su-57 is a formidable weapon with advanced means of destruction.
The fighter is characterized by high survivability due to its low visibility and modern onboard defense system. It continues to be improved taking into account the experience of use.
Chemezov emphasized that the Su-57 and Su-35S have undergone a full cycle of factory tests and testing in various operating modes by Defense Ministry pilots. By the end of the year, UAC will deliver the next batches of Su-57 and Su-35S.
As reported by the Regnum news agency, Chemezov stated on November 7 that the Su-57 had demonstrated its high effectiveness in countering American Patriot anti-aircraft missile systems and other Western air defense systems.
This aircraft is capable of using the most modern combat weapons, including the stealth cruise missiles Kh-69. As Chemezov stated, a large chain of Rostec enterprises is involved in the production of the Su-57.
