According to credible sources who spoke to Daily Trust, the assailants descended upon the Hausari quarters in Geidam LGA at the unholy hour of 3:44 am on Friday.

Under the cover of darkness, the bully boyz exploited the vulnerability of their victims, who were sleeping.

As reported by Daily Trust, sources revealed that the button men struck while the students were deep in sleep, rendering them defenceless against the sudden and deadly onslaught.

This callous and calculated attack has left an indelible scar on the community, claiming the precious lives of the students.

''The incident occurred at around 3:44 am when the button men invaded Faudiya School a well-known Shiite school in Geidam,'' a source said.

''They (button men) attacked the school when these youths were asleep and brought them outside and shot them dead.

''There is tension and concern in the town after this incident. People are terrified over this unfortunate incident,'' he said.

Also, a vigilante told the newspaper that three members of Shia sect were killed while one sustained injury.

''We don't know who they (button men) are but all we know is that they killed three students in the school. One person who tried to escape during the incident was injured and he has been hospitalised,'' he said.

The spokesperson for Yobe State Police Command, DSP Dungus Abdulkarim, confirmed the incident but did not give details.

#1 IIRC, the very name Boko Haram means something like "education is forbidden". Well, wikipedia says it means "Western education is forbidden" but then, that'd mean stuff like reading, writing and arithmetic. I guess if you wanna learn about AK-47s and how to slit an infidel's throat that's OK.
