[KavkazUzel] Security forces detained a 15-year-old native of Chechnya in the French city of Tours after he published videos on social networks with instructions for making a homemade bomb, beheading people and with symbols of the Islamic State.
As the "Caucasian Knot" has reported, previously in the EU countries, including France, various incidents involving immigrants from the North Caucasus republics have repeatedly occurred. In particular, on October 13, 2023, a teacher was killed at a school in Arras, France. French media named 20-year-old Mohamad Mogushkov as the attacker. French media clarified that his family came to France from Ingushetia.
According to the prosecutor's office of the city of Tur, a 15-year-old teenager from Chechnya was detained after sharing several videos on the TikTok social network, in which the investigation saw propaganda of terrorist attacks, Gazeta.ru reported.
Among the information the teen posted was a booklet on how to make a homemade bomb. The student was also interested in the substance used by terrorists to make “suicide belts,” noted Actu17.fr.
The teenager was born in Grozny. The videos he published also showed the beheading of people and the flags of the international terrorist organization "Islamic State" banned in Russia by the court. The student is charged with, among other things, public condoning acts of terrorism, he is placed under judicial supervision with a ban on night walks, participation in public demonstrations and leaving France. The teenager should also undergo consultation with a psychologist, the publication noted.
The "Caucasian Knot" also wrote that on October 16, 2020, in the suburbs of Paris, teacher Samuel Paty was beheaded, who had previously shown his students caricatures of the Prophet Muhammad from Charlie Hebdo magazine during a lesson on freedom of speech. The alleged killer was shot dead by the police; he turned out to be an 18-year-old Russian citizen, a native of Chechnya, Abdulak (Abdullah) Anzorov, who received refugee status in France. Anzorov was buried in the family cemetery in the village of Shalazhi, Urus-Martan district.
