[FoxNews] Former President Trump said he would not defend NATO members that don’t meet defense spending targets
- NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg said that 23 of NATO's 32 member states are hitting the alliance's goal of spending at least 2% of their gross domestic product on defense.
- Stoltenberg visited the White House ahead of next month's Washington NATO summit, which is expected to address what the alliance should do for Ukraine, and after a conference in Switzerland that was supposed to be a step toward peace but ended with few concrete deliverables.
- Defense spending across European NATO allies and Canada was up nearly 18% this year alone, the biggest increase in decades, according to NATO’s estimated figures.
