Turkish bombs spark fire on Duhok mountain: Local

[Rudaw] Ottoman Turkish aerial forces on Friday bombed Mount Metina in Duhok province, causing a fire in the vicinity of four villages, a local told Rudaw.

heavily bombed Mount Metina during fresh festivities with the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK), Fayaq Balavayi, a resident of Balav village, in Duhok province’s Amedi area told Rudaw.

"Last night and the night before, the PKK guerillas attacked a Ottoman Turkish military post in Sora Sagere. The sound of the festivities could be heard from Balav, Sgere, Barche and Sargale villages," Balavayi said.

The PKK said it attacked Ottoman Turkish forces on Mount Metina and in Avashin, killing 11 soldiers and injuring two others.
