Boeing nears 60 freighter orders with 777F deals in September |

The six additional freighters include one for FedEx and five for unidentified customers. They bring the total number of 777Fs ordered this year to 36, alongside orders for another 23 freighters — comprising 19 767-300Fs and four 747-8Fs. Boeing says September generated 22 net orders, the eighth month in succession for which net orders have been positive. |

#2 Related: 3 years ago you could not give freighters away, now in addition to this report comes word that Amazon is buying ‘several’ retired planes for conversion to freighters. Both Boeing and Airbus twinjets. Look for pax-to-freight conversion market to explode and all viable parked twins to be scooped up. |
