[Bangkok Post] A bomb in a cooking gas cylinder placed under a roadside stall exploded and severely wounded three paramilitary rangers on foot patrol in Narathiwat provnince on Wednesday morning. The blast was reported on the Phetkasem Highway in Bacho district.The explosion demolished the stall and left a 30-centimeter-deep crater. Blood stains, along with rangers' bullet-proof vests and helmets, were scattered at the scene. The injured rangers received severe shrapnel wounds.
Police said the three rangers were walking close to the stall, which was under construction, when the bomb was detonated. They blamed southern insurgents.
