1.8 tons of narcotics seized in countrywide operations |

![]() Please don't kill me! 30 people allegedly involved in drug trafficking besides impounding 18 vehicles across the country. According to a blurb, the seized drugs included 1,713 kg hashish, 59 kg opium, 25 kg heroin and 12 kg amphetamine. The ANF Rawalpindi arrested Azmat Ali, a resident of Gujrat, at the Islamabad International Airport (IIA) and recovered 1.8 kg amphetamine from him. In another operation, the ANF Rawalpindi intercepted a car at the Islamabad toll plaza and recovered 3.3 kg hashish concealed in its doors. Two suspects, identified as Amjidullah and Abdul Qadir, residents of Khyber Agency ![]() , were arrested. The ANF also arrested Jan Mohammad, a resident of Mardan, and Masud, of Charsadda, at the IIA and recovered 3.37 kg amphetamine from them. Another suspect, identified as Rehmat Zaib, a resident of Swat, was held at the IIA after three kg amphetamine was recovered from his bag. |
