#3 Well they could have done the Hughes Chain gun treatment or one of the variations of that on the barrel. A gun drill bore prior to heat treat then heat treat to extreme hardness and then grind bore to final size then etch the rifling in. |

#2 No real reason to think the same barrel is used on the second belt. It's a vendor video. |

#1 I assume there is something about the heat treatment of the barrel that prevents cracking when quenched with plain water. |
