"The Federal Emergency Management Agency is making it tougher for governors to deny man-made climate change. Starting next year, the agency will approve disaster preparedness funds only for states whose governors approve hazard mitigation plans that address climate change."

I think the federal budget should be paid for by the states and do away with the IRS and federal taxes. Make them dependent on the states instead of the other way around. Isn't that the way it was originally intended?

#6  Big deal! Plans that address the effect of changing climate/weather are a good idea - until 2016.

In the meanwhile, you are making allowances for more storms, floods, droughts, storm surges, tornadoes, more snow, less snow, earlier spring, later fall, stuff that may or may not come.

Like having a plan on the books to invade Italy or Argentina.
