Puntland's chairman military court, Abdifatah Haji Adan survived an assassination attempt after unidentified gunmen sprayed his car with bullets outside port city of BossasoThe militants opened fire at Aden's car on outside Bosaso highway but he was unhurt from the ambush attack according to sources. The bullet-riddled car of Ahmed is being held by army troops at security checkpoint on the outskirts of Bari region town of Bossaso.
In August 4, 2014, suicide bomber had killed at least 6 people including Bari Police commander late Abdirahman Ali Abas Muslim and his two security guards and civilians who were near bay the blast scene in Bosaso. Al Shabaab militants claimed responsibility for that attack.
