#15 With all due respect, Slutie...you've been watching too many movies. Real life officer involved shootings (generally) aren't so, shall we say, precise. Sgt Munley did exceptionally well under incredibly difficult conditions. (Ok, I'll make a slight exception for SWAT-type guys, who really can knock someone off with one bullet to the heart from a hundred yards away if conditions are right. But even they would have a helluva time trying to do that if they were under fire, were trying to take someone out who is actively killing innocents and/or had been shot themselves.) |

#13 It's too bad she is no longer in the Army (her husband still is). She should be given a medal. |

#12 She trained to fight and and her training kicked in when she fought. She aggressively engaged the perp at mortal danger to herself and took him out of the fight without accidentally shooting innocents. My hat goes off to her. She is a true professional and a real hero. Something to emulate in one's own practice with defensive handguns. Well done, Officer Munley!!! Well done. |

#11 Slutie, since she was head on and got two slugs in her legs, and the POS got 4, I'd say she did purdy good. In that situation, you don't have time to steady your aim. |

#10 I have seen both military and civilian officers at Air force bases in the states must be true for army too. BTW this proves they are a big step ahead of Rent-a-cops. I hereby apologizes for the decades I have hung that title on them. |

#8 Slutie: If she was firing 9mm FMJ it's not her fault. |

#7 No offense meant but the police officer needs more time on the range. The putz is still breathing. |

#6 YS - From my own experience (26 years in the Air Force) about the only military who are armed on a US military base are the gate guards (Fort Hood was an open base - no gate guards) and select people guarding highly sensitive areas. After this, that may (and perhaps, should) change. |

#5 It only took 1 minute for Hasan to get shot 4 times and learn, "When momma's not happy, ain't nobody happy!" |

#3 Off topic here, but why did civilian police respond when it was on a military base? Is that standard procedure? I thought there were MPs or some kind of security detail that would have responded. Is it a civilian base police force like campus police at a university? Thanks in advance... YS. |

#1 I'm awestruck by Sgt. Munley's performance. And what a blow to the jihadi ego - brought down by a mere girl. We raise them different here than you do in the Old Country, Hasan. |
