[IranIntl] A cleric in northern Iran was killed at his home in Sari, the IRGC-linked Tasnim news agency reported on Thursday.

Tasnim identified him as Yasser Taheri, a member of the clerical association in Mazandaran province and prayer leader at the Hassan Askari mosque [a Shia Mosque] in Sari's Rahband neighborhood.

Initial reports indicated he was killed with a bladed weapon, Tasnim said. The motive was not immediately known.
