Iranian Balochi forces inflicted heavy losses on the IRGC and its Afghan Shia Fatemiyoun fighters

Text:

Iranian Balochi forces say they inflicted heavy losses on the IRGC and its Afghan Shia Fatemiyoun fighters before issuing a unifying message to the people of Iran.

The People’s Fighters Front claims more than 20 regime fighters, most of them Fatemiyoun members, were killed alongside field commander Yaser Baqi during clashes in Taftan. It also reported separate operations against IRGC and Fatemiyoun forces near Zahedan and Chabahar.

The group says three of its own Iranian fighters were killed while helping others withdraw to safety.

Its broader message was unmistakably national. It called Iran “our beloved homeland” and said its struggle is for all Iranians, not only Balochistan.

The statement called on the Iranian nation to unite and free itself and Iran from 47 years of oppression under the Islamic Republic’s delusional, sectarian rule of velayat-e faqih.

Two Iranian security forces killed in separate attacks in southeast Sistan-Baluchestan: Watchdog

[Rudaw] An Iranian commander and a police officer were killed in two separate attacks on Wednesday in Iran’s southeastern Sistan-Baluchestan province after unidentified gunnies opened fire, a rights group and state media reported.

Haalvsh, an independent watchdog that monitors human rights
...not to be confused with individual rights, mind you...
violations in Sistan and Baluchestan, reported the deaths of Afsaneh Aqila, a female commander of the all women’s Basij unit in Mehrestan County and Mohammad Ali Shahriari, a male police officer. Both casualties were from Zabol district.

Iran’s state-run Islamic republic of Iran
...a theocratic Shiite state divided among the Medes, the Persians, and the (Arab) Elamites. Formerly a fairly civilized nation ruled by a Shah, it became a victim of Islamic revolution in 1979. The nation is today noted for spontaneously taking over other countries' embassies, maintaining whorehouses run by clergymen, involvement in international drug trafficking, and financing sock puppet militias to extend the regime's influence. The word Iran is a cognate form of Aryan. The abbreviation IRGC is the same idea as Stürmabteilung (or SA). The term Supreme Guide is a the modern version form of either Duce or Führer or maybe both. They hate Jews Zionists Jews. Their economy is based on the production of oil and vitriol...
broadcasting IRIB confirmed the identities of the officers. Haalvsh additionally stated that three other officers were maimed and reported "several IRGC military and aviation helicopters patrolling and flying at very low altitudes" over the province continuously.

No group has grabbed credit for the attacks.

The latest confrontation comes amid a wave of attacks against Iranian security forces in the southeastern province, which borders Pakistain and Afghanistan.

Sistan and Baluchestan, populated mainly by Iran's ethnic Baloch and Sunni Moslem communities, has long faced deep-rooted security challenges, with Iranian security forces confronting Baloch gangs.

During festivities on Tuesday in Taftan county, the rights monitor cited local sources having reported that around 18 cycle of violences and four military vehicles were present when the fighting began between the IRGC and gunnies early that day. As festivities intensified, nearly 40 more military vehicles carrying reinforcements were reportedly sent to the area.

Later that day People’s Fighters Front, a Baloch bad boy group, issued a statement claiming responsibility for a series of festivities, ambushes and explosions over the past 24 hours in Taftan, Kourin, Zahedan, and Chabahar, according to the watchdog.

More than 20 personnel, mostly members of the Fatemiyoun, an Afghan Shiite militia created and trained by Iran’s IRGC, along with their field commander, IRGC officer Yaser Bagheri, were killed, the group said.

Sistan and Baluchestan is among Iran's poorest and most marginalized provinces, where longstanding grievances over economic deprivation, discrimination and the treatment of the predominantly Sunni Baloch population have fueled resentment towards Tehran.

The province was also the scene of one of the deadliest crackdowns during Iran's nationwide protests in 2022.

On September 30 that year, Iranian security forces opened fire on protesters and worshippers in Zahedan in what became known as Bloody Friday.

Amnesty International documented at least 66 people killed that day, with more deaths recorded in the aftermath.

The continued attacks, despite repeated security operations and the killing of several bad boy commanders in recent years, highlight the persistent security challenges facing Tehran in the border region and the growing importance of cooperation with Pakistain to prevent further cross-border violence. # id) ?>

…approve of separatism, nor will I blindly praise the JMM militant group. I don't know this group, and as of writing this I don't trust them either. They claim to fight for all of Iran after merging several militant groups together, but at least one faction among them are historically Baloch separatists. They are also very conservative sunni muslims.

Therefore, I won't boost their videos or statements for the time being. Until I know where the Shah and his team stand regarding this group and where they stand regarding him, I won't give them my attention.

However, I can speak about what the last few weeks of fighting could mean for Iran:

Regardless of what I think of JMM, their targets have Iranian blood on their hands and undoubtedly deserve it.

IRGC thugs, basijis, regime linked clerics and foreign proxy terrorists are all being killed at a growing rate. Police stations, bases and checkpoints are raided. Patrols come under attack as they drive through cities. There's been at least one case of fighting reaching the Kerman region. Today, a female basiji commander was assassinated in front of her house. Yesterday, dozens of Afghan proxy terrorists were wiped out. Last month, a regime linked sunni cleric was shot dead. Many of the assassinations are very high ranking.

I don't know what suddenly changed, but it's gotten very deadly and dangerous to be an islamic regime figure in S&B.

What does all of this mean?

1) The islamic regime is losing control.

2) Regime thugs used to feel safe and protected. Now they don't. Psychologically this will do serious damage, especially to lower ranking demoralised basijis who aren't receiving their blood money salaries anymore due to sanctions.

3) If this keeps up, the islamic regime will have to send large forces from other regions to go fight in S&B. I shouldn't have to explain that this will benefit the rest of Iran when the next uprising happens. Thousands of IRGC terrorists forced to fight in the South East means thousands fewer IRGC to oppress Iranians in other provinces. It means evening out the playing field.

Again, this is an analysis, not an endorsement of JMM. They still need to clarify their stance on Iran's territorial integrity, their stance on the Shah, and their stance on separatism and islamism. We also need to know what their actual goal is once the islamic regime is overthrown.

Until then, as far as I'm concerned, the IRGC is getting killed in big numbers from within Iran and seemingly without any outside assistance, and that's what I will focus on.

What's happening in S&B is going to have huge consequences for Iran in the coming months, and everyone should pay attention.

4 20 militia killed in one day

well OK, but that isn't what I would call 'heavy losses'

and, for example, the Viet Cong lost 2000 in one week (and about 500k in the decade 65-75), that's what I would call heavy losses

Russia has lost over 3000 in some weeks vs Ukraine, also what I would call heavy losses

The allies lost over 4k on D Day. Also, heavy losses.

5 ^ All true, LG, but demoralizing for unpaid IRGC and Basij. Gotta be looking unenthusiastic when your (paid) superiors aren't getting killed

6 Nice to see regime supporters in fear for their lives.

If the IRGC can't prevent or reduce their losses in southeast Iran, then it's a sign that their hold on Iran is gotten a lot weaker.
