🔷Despite the reassuring communication from Malian President 🇲🇱 Goïta on the occasion of the country's 66th anniversary of independence, Mali has indisputably become the epicenter of terrorist attacks in the Sahel in recent weeks.
🔹While the FLA is in a phase of strategic withdrawal within its controlled territories around Kidal, the JNIM has multiplied critical attacks against the FAMa and their Africa Corps 🇷🇺 auxiliaries, with the Dioura attack (at least 150 FAMa neutralized) as the peak.
⚠️ In Burkina Faso 🇧🇫, the JNIM has launched an impressive number of offensives, but with less devastating human tolls than in Mali.
Niger 🇳🇪 is the country most "spared" quantitatively in August, but the security situation remains extremely critical with the horrific Tessa attack on 08/21 (20 FAN killed) and the pseudo coup d'état in Niamey.
